Professor Heimerdinger paced nervously in his cluttered office, surrounded by blueprints and

inventions, both grand and intricate. The warm glow of his desk lamp barely illuminated the

worry etched on his face. He looked up at the clock, each tick echoing his growing

impatience as he awaited Viktor's report on the explosion that had rocked Jayce's workshop.

What could have possibly caused such a catastrophic event? He had yet to learn of what

Jayce had been working on but he sensed that it was nothing ordinary. His mind swirled with

possibilities, each one more troubling than the last.

Lost in thought, he suddenly heard steps from outside his door, followed by a gentle knock.

At first, he assumed it was Viktor, but when the door swung open, he was surprised yet

pleased to see you standing there.

"Ah! My dear student!" Heimerdinger exclaimed, his eyes brightening.

"What a nice surprise! What brings you to my humble office?" the yordle asked now.

You stepped inside, the door closing softly behind you. "Professor, I was hoping you might

have some information about the incident in Jayce's workshop?"

Heimerdinger shook his head, his brow furrowing with concern.

"I don't know, my child. The chaos of that explosion has left us all in the dark."

You shared a moment of silence, the weight of uncertainty settling in the room, until another

knock broke the tension. This time, Heimerdinger perked up, his ears twitching slightly.

"Enter," the professor called out, and the door creaked open to reveal the tall figure of Viktor,

looking disheveled but determined.

"Professor! I've been trying to piece together what happened," Viktor began, urgency filling

his voice.

"The explosion seemed to stem from an experimental energy surge in the workshop. We're

still investigating the cause, but it's clear that something went terribly wrong." Viktor

continued explaining the situation.

Heimerdinger leaned forward, his interest piqued.

"An energy surge? What was Jayce working on that could lead to such an incident?"

Viktor hesitated, glancing at you before answering, maybe not sure about to talk about it in

front of you.

"I don't have all the details yet, but I suspect it was something involving new techniques in

engineering. Mr Talis has been pushing the boundaries lately. It could have been reckless."

The brunette explained with his heavy accent.

The professor sighed deeply, rubbing his chin in contemplation.

"We need to get to the bottom of this before it escalates. It could put everyone in Piltover at

risk." heimerdinger said and your thoughts wandered to the crystal.

You found yourself frozen in place as the realization struck, you had the crystal tucked away

in your brown leather bag. Instinctively, your hand moved to cover it, driven by an urge to

safeguard it from them.

Viktor noticed your sudden action and began observing your expression.

You apologized to Heimerdinger and made your exit from the room.

As you wandered through a maze of thoughts about what to do next and where to conceal

the crystal, Viktor's voice disrupted your reverie, pulling you back to the moment.

"(Y/N) Ferros, am I right?" Viktor asked, causing you to stop in your tracks and turn around

to face him.

You took in his appearance from head to toe. He leaned on his cane, holding a book marked

with the emblem of House Talis, which implied he was already equipped with the information

he needed to connect the incident with the crystals, leaving you with an uneasy feeling.

His face wore signs of fatigue, dark circles under his eyes indicated a lack of sleep. His hair

was slightly messy yet appeared somewhat styled, fitting the overall look.

"What can I do for you, Mr...?" you asked, waiting for him to provide his last name.

"Just Viktor," he replied, giving you a look that you found difficult to interpret.

"So?" you prompted, signalling your intention was to leave before he started talking.

"You recognized this book, right? Are you familiar with Jayce?" he asked, shifting to a more

direct approach.

"I recognize the symbol... but I'm here because I'm worried about a good friend, Viktor," you

responded, your voice chilled. You had a gut feeling that he was suspicious of you.

"Do you know what your... good friend was up to? Trying to create magic?" he stated, his

accent lending a unique emphasis to his words.

You remained still, deep down you knew the truth, but acknowledging it would implicate you

and your family too.

"I can't help you, Viktor," you said, preparing to end the conversation and turn away, showing

him your back.

But Viktor abruptly replied, "I want to help Mr. Talis."

"Maybe, as a friend, you could consider helping him too." He finished his sentence.

You paused, glancing back over your shoulder to meet his gaze.

"Why?" you responded in suprise.

"Because I think his study is..truly inspiring and revolutionary, I guess..."

His voice was amused and a kind of sassy smile appeared on his face.

Is he trying to trap you with this? To gather information about what it is they need to handle

there or did he truly care. It was awkwardly quiet and the longer your thoughts fighting each

other the more the situation became suspicious.

You finally relented, deciding to trust Viktor after realizing it was the best option you had, to

safeguard Jayce's education and invention. It wasn't an easy choice, but the urgency of the

situation made it clear that you had to act. With a deep breath, you steeled yourself for the

challenges ahead, knowing that sometimes allyship could bring unexpected strengths.

You opened the brown leather bag and slowly revealed the blue crystal, which reflects the

incoming Moonlight that fell through the giant windows of the academy floor. Viktors eyes

widened, not prepared for this act and stepped closer, only the noise of his cane fills the air.

Still worried to just open up like that because it could cost you and your family everything,

you started to speak.

"Viktor...I trust you with this."

Viktor took a moment to collect his thoughts before speaking.

"I want to help Jayce because he has so much potential. From the moment I saw him and

his notes, I knew he was destined for greatness. His creativity and determination remind me

of myself..."

He continued, his voice growing more passionate.

"Jayce is not just talented, he's also driven by a desire to make a difference. The world

needs inventors like him, people who aren't afraid to push boundaries. If I can help him

navigate the challenges he's facing right now, maybe he can achieve something incredible

that can change lives."

You recognized the genuine intentions behind Viktor's words, and your gaze softened as the

weight of worry began to lift from your shoulders. It was clear that he wasn't deceitful, nor did

he harbour any plans to betray you or your family to the council. His sincerity resonated with

you, and for the first time in a while, you felt a glimmer of hope.

Viktor looked serious as he continued,

"Tomorrow, there will be a process involving the council that will directly affect Jayce. Around

noon, they will convene to decide his fate. It's a critical moment, as Jayce will have the

chance to defend himself and present his case."

He emphasized the importance of this opportunity.

"This isn't just about their judgment, it's about giving Jayce a platform to voice his thoughts

and demonstrate his worth. We must help him prepare, so he can articulate his vision and

show them what he's capable of. It's essential that he feels supported during this time."he

continued.

Viktor's resolve was clear, and you could feel the gravity of what lay ahead for Jayce. The

decision made by the council could alter everything for him...

Curious, you asked Viktor for suggestions. With a hint of amusement, he replied,

"We need to make this innovation work!"

A smirk grew on his face as he held up the book, clearly filled with ideas.

"And I believe I have an inkling about how to fill in the missing pieces. We can leverage the

concepts discussed in here, they might provide the solution we've been looking for." he

continued with a calming voice.

His enthusiasm was infectious.

"Let's sit down and go through it together," he suggested.

"By aligning our thoughts and strategies, we can create a solid defense for Jayce. If we can

present him as a visionary, ready to take his ideas to the next level, the council will take

notice."

With a plan forming, you felt encouraged by the prospect of collaboration and the chance to

support Jayce in this important moment.

Viktor offered to work in his laboratory and you two worked almost all night finding a way to

stabilise the crystals.

"Alright, Viktor, we need to tackle the stability issues with the crystals. What are your

thoughts on using a hybrid stabilization technique?" you suggested while looking at jayces

notes.

"I was thinking along the same lines... What if we integrated a nano-coating to enhance their

surface properties? It could minimize energy dispersion and provide a more robust

framework."the brunette answered slowly.

"That could work, If we use a graphene-based nano-coating, it might not only improve

conductivity but also resist environmental factors that can destabilize the crystals." You

responded, thinking about his suggestion while listening to his heavy akzent.

"Great point! And to take it further, we could also consider embedding piezoelectric materials

within the crystal lattice. This way, we could absorb and redistribute excess energy when

fluctuations occur." He said enthusiastic.

"That's a brilliant idea! We can experiment with different piezoelectric materials to find the

optimal one. If we identify the right frequency response, it could help maintain equilibrium

during energy surges." you said with a motivated voice.

"And don't forget about the thermal aspect. We should incorporate a thermal regulation

system, possibly using a liquid cooling circuit that circulates around the crystal structure to

maintain a consistent temperature."

"Combining these approaches could not only enhance stability but also amplify the energy

output. Let's sketch a prototype of the stabilization system and outline the materials we need

for our experiments." You answered and didn't notice Viktor, how his eyes landed on you

while vibing with him in his lab.

"Perfect, let's get to work on this. If we can showcase a working prototype, it'll definitely

impress the council and give them proof whats possible..." was all he said before you two

started working to save your friend and his dream.
