A/N: Welcome to the semi finals folks.
The recap begins with a map shot of the plane flying towards Canada. "Last time on Total Drama World Tour!" A panning shot of Drumheller's landscape is briefly shown, then Eva is shown attached to the lie detector. "Alberta! It'll blow you away!" The explosion from the last episode is shown. "How could this happen?!"
Xena is shown talking to Jo , then Jo is shown talking to Eva. "Well first Xena made Jo doubt her chances against Eva. Then Jo tried to talk to Eva only for her to blow up at Jo for asking about her strategy in the game."
Brick is shown getting pinned by the rock, then Jo is shown using her pickaxe as a lever to get the rock off her. After that Xena is shown talking to Jo about Eva, followed by the elimination showing a tie. "Brick got pinned by a rock, but thanks to a combination of reasoning with her and Jo's crush, she ended up helping him out. Afterwards Xena convinced Jo to vote for Eva leading to a tie breaker."
Max is shown at the door of the plane with the remote, followed by the electric sparks hitting the oil under the plane. The plane is shown exploding. Then Chris is shown yelling at Eva. "Before we could have one, Ex contestant turned crazed loon Max tried to take over the plane with my tv remote, which BLEW UP MY PLANE! Since Eva was responsible for the oil under the plane I decided to give her the boot."
Chris and Chef are shown sitting in the broken cockpit of the jet. Chef looks shook, and Chris is angry. "Did I mention we got no ride now? Hmm, because Max BLEW IT UP!" Chris picks up a paper bag and hyperventilates into it. "Our final three are jetting to Hawaii. Without a jet. So get set for some other race to the million. Right here. on Total! Drama! Woooorrrrlllddd~ Tooouuurrrr~!" The cockpit collapsed in on itself. "OW!"
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;
(Chef is in the cockpit, the cook gives the camera glare as it passes through. The camera moves past several baggage trucks.)
You guys are on my mind!
(The camera moves past the CN tower and dives into the water.)
Ya asked me what I wanted to be,
(Lightning is swimming in the water when he spots a shark and begins to fight with it.)
And now I think the answer is plain to see!
(Harold stands on top of the straw roof of a hut on a woven boat. An oar flies threw the air to hit him.)
I wanna be...famous!
(Amber and Topher are fighting on the boat, and it is clear one of them accidently hit Harold in the tussle. Crocodiles leap from the water snapping their jaws. The boat moves off screen and we see a crocodile wince on the word be. The camera moves back to the boat revealing it had run into an inflatable raft where Alejandro is standing. Amber panics and tries to help while Topher just laughs.)
I wanna live close to the sun!
(The camera moves to the statue of liberty, we cut to the top where Brick is offering Jo a helping hand, only for her to grab it and body slam him instead.)
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!
(Tyler runs past the two, pushing a baby carriage holding Noah. Max is nearby and the jock trips over her, sending Noah flying out of the carriage and into a sign.)
Everythin' to prove,
(Noah lands in Eva's arms as she stands on a tundra. He gives her a grateful smile.)
Nothin' in my way;
I'll get there one day.
(We pan right where Amy rolls her eyes. A polar bear taps on her shoulder and she looks horrified, but then Dawn and Ella calm the bear and Amy smiles.)
'Cause I wanna be...famous!
(We zoom in past ice caps to see Duncan and Gwen surfing a giant wave. It seems to be too much as they are swept up in the surf.)
Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa
(Xena and Anne Maria are walking across a New York City crosswalk. They are startled as the jet passes them, sending leaves through the air. We switch to a scene of the contestants in a human pyramid atop the jet, wearing parachutes and kicking in beat. The bottom row contains Jo, Anne Maria, Harold, Max, Xena, and Brick. The first row up contains Topher, Amber Alejandro, Eva, and Noah, the next row up contains Duncan, Gwen, Amy, and Tyler, on top of the pyramid is Lightning holding Ella and Dawn on one of his shoulders each.)
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
(The plane passes big ben, causing the clock face to pop out. It passes the arc de Triomphe causing a mime to drop his croissant. It flies past a rock balancing on.a stone pillar, knocking it off and causing it to fall in front of the camera kicking up dust)
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
(The dust clears to show, Ella and Dawn smiling at one another, It pans to show Eva glaring, then down to Jo.)
(The lyrics end and we see Chef Hatchet glare. He turns the plane, sending all the contestants falling through the air in parachutes. Everyone but Max lands in front of a sign with the show's name on it. As the song ends Max lands face first in the middle of the group)
The wreckage of the jet is shown as the focus shifted left to where Chris was standing and staring at the plane in what could only be described as pure shock. Xena, Jo, Brick, and Eva are all standing around him. "The hot tub with my name spelled out in italian tiles, gone. My Monogrammed sneakers, gone. My custom calibrated stubble trimmer, gone." The host complained.
"Hello, we have a race going on?" Jo scowled.
"Are you seriously worried about the show at a time like this? What about the potential injuries this could have caused people?" Brick said.
"As usual you two are thinking of nothing but yourselves." Chris scoffed. "What about the bigger humanitarian crisis? How am I supposed to keep this face fresh without my hyperbolic chamber?"
"I fail to see how Brick wanting to ensure the safety of others is 'thinking of nothing but himself.'" Xena pointed out.
"Max was closest to the explosion, is he okay?" Brick asked.
"Yeah, where is that maniac anyway? If he is okay, he soon won't be. I need to pummel him for RUINING MY CHANCES OF WINNING!" Eva roared.
"Max is fine, unfortunately. Chef's got him squirreled away somewhere so we can turn him over to the police as soon as we reach our final destination." Chris said. "If we reach our final destination." the host sobbed.
[Confessional]
Eva: Honestly Max is lucky he'll probably end up in jail, because I would do so much worse to him.
Static
The focus shifted to show Chef pushing a large metal box out of the plane wreckage. Chris brightened. "Hey! My emergency kit! We're saved!" He turned to the contestants. "That's right kids, get ready for surf, sun, and beauties in grass skirts! Our finale will be taking place in Hawaii!"
Most of the contestants looked mildly excited about this. "I know right? Best host ever! Think of how tragic it would be for reality T.V. to lose me?" Chris added, looking right at the camera.
(confessional)
Jo: Wow, Chris is even more pathetic than I thought, And I thought he was pretty pathetic.
Static
Chef used a crowbar to get the crate open, revealing a red two seater helicopter. "Is that a two seater?" Brick asked.
"Well there's enough room for Chef and me." Chris said, flashing them all a smile.
"What of us?" Xena asked.
"You will be competing to see who can get to the big island first. Using only your wits, and whatever you find out here." Chris explained.
"In case you hadn't noticed McLame, we're in the middle of nowhere!" Jo snapped.
"True." Chris pulled out a few walkie talkies and some other machine. "So check these fancy dancy GPS' I'm giving you!" He tossed the Walkie talkie's and GPS' at the final three.
Jo read off hers. "Middle of nowhere Alberta." She gave Chris a flat look. "Well they work."
"Set a course for Tijuana Beach. It's right on the Mexican border. Now move it!" Chris ordered. The three finalists quickly put in the beach he mentioned.
"WHAT ABOUT ME YOU MORON?!" Eva roared.
"Make like you actually took the drop of shame and figure it out yourself!" The host snapped from the helicopter as it was about to take off. Chef is already inside. Eva glares at the vehicle as it takes off.
(Confessional)
Eva: Max, congratulations, you are now number two on my to pummel list.
Static
"Don't worry I'm sure you're all gonna make it!" Chris tried to reassure them. The tone in his voice did not reassure.
"Well I guess it's everyone for themselves." Jo said.
"I guess it is. Considering your vote last night." Brick said solemnly.
"I was just being strategic, how could I know you wouldn't have teamed up with her for the finale?" Jo said.
"I may have, or I may have teamed up with you, but you will never know now. I am disappointed." Brick said.
"Whatever!" Jo began to storm off. She used her walkie talkie. "Like I care if you're disappointed in me!"
Brick responded through his own Walkie Talkie. "If you don't care then why are you talking to me?"
"I'm not! The next time you hear from me it'll be me bragging about how far ahead of you I am!" Jo yelled.
Brick sighed. "Well then, I will be off. I apologize Eva, but I refuse to work with Xena in any way." With that he walked off.
"Eva," Xena turned to the iron woman. "I believe I can create a rudimentary aerial craft with the remains of the jet. I am however lacking in physical strength. Therefore, I would like your assistance. Should you agree, I will allow you to come with me."
Eva sighed. "I don't want to work with you, but I also don't want to be stranded in Drumheller. It'd be hard to pummel Chris from here."
"Excellent." Xena nodded.
[Confessional]
Xena: I am glad Eva is reasonable enough to take me up on my offer. I suppose I am lucky Chris and Max are the primary recipients of her anger.
Static
Brick is shown peering over a large stone formation with the skull and neck of some prehistoric creature inside. "It looks like Chris is transporting some animals to Hawaii." The wreck of the plane is shown, along with the two interns we usually see putting a caged panda in a moving truck. "If I sneak on I'll be at Tijuana Beach in no time." With that, Brick dropped down from the rock.
/
Meanwhile Jo was walking through the desert with no plan in mind. She's just following the Gps to see her location. She trips over some train tracks. "Ugh! Stupid Train tracks!" Then she paused a smile growing on her face. "If there's train tracks there's a train."
/
Xena and Eva are currently shifting through the debris of the plane. Eva huffed. "What are you even going to be making out of this junk?" She asked, holding up a pontoon with a hole in it.
"I will not be making anything out of that particular piece of debris. It is not required for my aircraft." Xena noted.
"Oh but seatbelts, a wheelchair, and parachutes are absolutely vital." The iron woman rolled her eyes.
"Yes. I assure you I know what I am doing." Xena replied.
"You'd better, because I don't have a problem pummeling you." Eva warned.
"Yes, I am well aware of your predisposition for violence." The over logical girl deadpanned.
/
The moving truck containing Brick is shown as the cadet begins to speak through his walkie talkie. Inside there is a grizzly bear, panda, baby seal, and monkey all in cages. Brick is sitting nearby. "I thought I'd give you all an update on my progress. I am currently on route to Hawaii and expect I'll be there soon." After he finished, Brick sighed. "I hope Jo is alright."
Somehow, the nearby sasquatchanakwa seemed to understand his concern and it hugged him tightly. "Uh thanks? I can't breathe."
The sasquatch let go of him and Brick tumbled into a nearby box.
/
The helicopter containing Chris and Chef are shown. "Jo's ahead but stalled and Brick's quickly catching up. But Xena hasn't moved yet." Chris frowned.
"Maybe she's working on some kind of transport." Chef shrugged.
/
Xena has attached the parachute to a barrel of toxic waste with a burner above it and various parts that make a handle. "You use this cord to control how high the flame is. The higher the flame, the higher the 'balloon'. If you need to descend, you simply lower the flame."
"So the wheelchair is a basket?" Eva asked as she handed it to Xena.
"Precisely." Xena replied.
As the over logical girl put things together off screen Eva frowned. "So, how are we both going to fit?"
"I will sit on your lap." Xena explained simply.
"Uh huh." Eva began, gripping Xena by the front of her shirt. "And what's to stop me from leaving you here? After all, you can't win if you're stranded in Drumheller."
Despite the situation Xena remained deadpan. "I am the one who knows how to steer the vehicle. Not to mention the GPS."
"I could take the GPS too, and you already showed me how to use it." The iron woman said.
"Only the very basics, and do you know how to read a GPS?" The over logical girl asked.
Eva groaned. "No. I hate that what you say makes sense."
"Well then our preparations are complete. All aboard." Xena concluded.
/
Xena and Eva are shown lifting off in the makeshift hot air balloon they'd made. Xena is sitting on Eva's lap while steering. She picked up her walkie talkie. "I am now beginning to make my way to Hawaii. Considering I am airborne I expect to be there first." With that she pulled the cord and rose the balloon higher.
Now on a train, Jo scoffed. "I'll believe it when I see it blondie!" A woman in a black outfit including a barrett, shirt, skirt, leggings and heels is typing rapidly on a nearby computer. Jo sits across from her. "What are you looking at?" She didn't respond, just continuing to type.
Outside the window of the train we can see the moving truck containing Brick pass by. The focus shifts outside where we see the moving truck dump everything from its back trailer into one of the train cars. Up in the helicopter Chris and Chef watch. "Too bad she turned off her walkie talkie before this update. Advantage Brick." Chris said.
The train took off and the focus shifted back inside where Jo listens as the intercom goes off. "Hello passengers, and welcome to this non-stop trip to Mexico."
Jo smirked. "Yes! Take that suckers!" The woman across from her looked at her oddly. "Mind your own business." The woman rolled her eyes.
/
The car holding Brick is shown before the focus shifted inside to show Brick finally getting out of the box he'd fallen into. The Yeti from earlier gave him a friendly wave. Brick smiled back. "Now I just need to take in my surroundings." He looked around the car. "I seem to have been loaded onto a train. Luckily since the animals are here with me, it can only be going to Mexico."
As he started to leave the car he noticed banging from inside one of the boxes. We see him look in. The focus shifted inside the box to show Max was tied up and gagged.
"On the one hand he's caused a lot of trouble. On the other, this is pretty inhumane treatment." Brick frowned.
[Confessional]
Brick: Well what was I supposed to do?
Static
/
Back in the balloon the unlikely duo are traveling at a steady pace. Eva looked impatient. "Can't you go faster?"
"No, I want to be able to steer properly." Xena said. "If we run into a tree or something we will crash and no longer be able to fly to our destination. I assure you, we will still come out ahead."
"We'd better or-" Eva's eyes widened as she looked ahead. "Look out!"
Xena looked ahead to see Chris and Chef in their helicopter. Everyone screamed as Chef just managed to move the helicopter out of the way. Chris spoke into his walkie talkie. "Uh,Xena?"
"Are you sure you're qualified to pilot a helicopter?" Xena asked dryly.
"Chris! Killing me won't stop me from pummeling you. I'll come back as a ghost and haunt you!" Eva snapped.
" Why'd you bring her with you? We already have one cling on named Max. We don't need two." Chris said.
"I'll show you a cling on you backstabbing, inept, wretched little son of a-" Eva began.
"Chris." Xena interrupted. "You said we could use whatever we could find. Well I 'found' Eva."
Chef nodded. "You did say that."
Chris smirked. "Hey, your funeral."
The radio in the helicopter went off. "Attention, an extreme weather warning has been issued for all aircraft."
Chris frowned. "I should probably warn them." Then he and Chef began to laugh.
/
Back on the train, Jo is relaxing when she hears a familiar voice. "They thought they could capture me, did they?! They did not count on my evil ingenuity!"
"Max! How the hell did you get here?!" Jo asked. The focus shifted to show Max standing there and behind him Brick. The jockette's eyes locked on him. "You let him out didn't you?"
"They had him bound and gagged." Brick pointed out.
"I can't even with you! Like seriously! All I want to do is focus on the game, and you're a distraction!" Jo snapped running off.
"Jo don't do anything too reckless!" Brick called as he ran after her.
/
Xena and Eva are still flying in the balloon. "So, how much longer do you think it'll take to get to Hawaii?"Eva asked.
"I cannot make an estimation without the knowledge of how quickly we are traveling. The GPS does not measure speed." Xena said
The Iron woman's eyes widened. "And I assume it doesn't give weather reports either?!"
The focus pulls out to show the two are heading right for a storm.
"That could be a problem." Xena noted.
"You think?!" Eva remarked sarcastically
/
Down on the train Jo had run to the top of the train, where she was running across the cars. She reaches the caboose and turns to face him. Brick followed over. "Jo, this is dangerous. You're going to hurt yourself or others.
The jockette jumped off of the caboose to the car in front. "Look I don't want to fight you, but I need to win this." She said, jumping between the train cars and moving to pull out the pin connecting them.
Brick moved to stop her but slipped on some hail as it began to pour from the sky. "Hail?! It was sunny a few minutes ago!"
/
Xena and Eva are shown flying through the hailstorm. One panicked and the other calm.
The focus shifts to the helicopter as Chris chuckles at the hail hitting the window. "Will the game be called on account of deadly weather? Will anyone be left to take home the million? Find out right after this break, on Total Drama World Tour!"
/
The episode returns to show Xena and Eva flying through the hail storm. Eva is struggling not to panic. "Can you steer in this weather?!"
"I believe so, but I need to concentrate so if you could try to remain calm that would be helpful." Xena replied with a look of concentration on her face.
"Calm?! We're flying through a hailstorm?!" The iron woman gasped
/
Back with the two on the train, Jo is currently working to pull the pin from in between the caboose and the rest of the train. She finally manages it and the caboose starts to roll away. "See you Brick, sorry it had to end this way. " At that moment Brick landed on top of her, having jumped from one train car to the other.
"Seriously we should get inside." Brick suggested.
"Not until I can get you off this train!" Jo said as she climbed on top of the train. Brick quickly followed her, and as the two faced off against one another, Chris' helicopter flew just over them, heralding a familiar ding.
"I pride myself on my timing." Chris smirked.
Jo and Brick are shown in split screen with Xena and Eva still flying the balloon. "Are you kidding me?!" They all said.
"You know the answer to that by now!" Chris replied.
(Song twenty-nine: I'm gonna make it.)
The song begins by moving out from Chris in the helicopter window before panning down to Jo and Brick on the train. Jo grabbed hold of Brick's arm roughly. "This show's a train that's moving fast." She drew the cadet close to her. "And I knew that we couldn't last." She twirled him around. " I don't really wanna fight," She threw him off of the car. "So will you get out of my sight!"
Jo began running down the train as Brick sang the next verse. "Voting for Eva was a bad move," Brick is shown crawling under the train car. "Jo what do you need to prove?" Jo's shown moving to jump from one car to the other when Brick's hand grabs the top of the car. "You should be careful what you do," Brick pulled himself up. "Or who knows just what could ensue!"
A GPS is shown with a map on it and two parallel train tracks. A red circle and green circle with a train inside each roll down the tracks. As both Jo and Brick jumped on the circles they began to sing the refrain. "I'm gonna make it, You can't stop me now, just you try." They jump off the train symbols. Jo picks up a cow skull and throws it at Brick, who dodges. "My fortune's waiting, it's time for you to say goodbye, bye bye." They jump back onto the train symbols.
Xena is shown in her makeshift balloon as Eva nervously taps her fingers to the music. The over logical girl began to sing. "I knew that I could get this far, this show has really been subpar. I made it to the final three-"
"Xena don't you hit that tree!" Eva ordered.
Xena managed to steer around the tree. The GPS map is shown as the two contestants float above in their balloon. " I'm gonna make it." She steers around a tree on the map. "They can't stop me now, let them try," Xena flew them around a bear next. "My fortune's waiting, And they can kiss it all bye-bye-bye"
Jo and Brick are shown on the train again pushing against each other Brick trying to stay on, Jo trying to push him off, as they sing. "You make no sense, if only you could see,"
Brick's trying but it's clear Jo is going to win the battle. They continue the verse. "Just how much this whole thing means to me!" Jo finally managed to push him off the train car.
"Jo!" Brick screamed.
The GPS map is shown as Jo rides away from Brick on her red train signal. Brick himself has landed next to a horse. Xena and Eva float through the air a bit behind him.
Jo and Xena sing the reprise. "I'm gonna make it, They can't stop me now, let them try, My fortune's waiting, It's time for you to say, goodbye-bye-bye."
Xena and Eva are shown to be moving towards another tree. "Dodge that tree!" Eva told her.
"Doing so will cause us to run into those power lines." Xena told her, inclining her head towards them.
"Then come up with something! You're a genius right?!" Eva snapped.
Xena looked around. "When I say, drop off the wheelchair."
"Are you crazy?!" The iron woman said.
"There's a herd of horses down there." Xena informed her. "Drop in three, two, one now."
Desperate, Eva jumped from the balloon. They fell, landing on the back of one of the many horses below. Xena in front and Eva behind.
/
Jo is shown jumping back into the train. She sighed. "Well, I guess that's that. Sorry Brick."
"If you think he was your only obstacle you are sorely mistaken!" Max declared, he somehow got a hold of some luggage.
"You're not even in the game!" The jockette protested.
"If I can't have the million, no one can!" The 'evil genius' said, throwing one of the suitcases at Jo.
The Jockette ducked, and ran off. "Ow! Lay off me you freak!"
/
In the Helicopter Chris smirked. "Wow they're all really going for it."
"Million dollars is a good motivator." Chef said.
/
Back on the train Max is running after Jo with determination. He's opened a duffle bag and is throwing the contents at Jo. He laughed evilly. "Yes! Fear my rage!"
"Your rage is a bunch of random luggage!" Jo called back.
"Then why are you running?" Max asked.
"So I don't have to deal with you, you delusional moron!" The jockette scoffed.
The focus moves outside to show Xena and Eva slowly moving forward through the horses. "Move faster you nag!" The iron woman ordered.
"Eva I must insist you do not get loud. Your tone of voice could scare the horses resulting in us being dislodged." Xena said quietly.
"Fine," Eva replied, lowering her voice. "But I'm still going to be angry."
"At least you're minimizing the chances your anger will get us bucked off." The over logical girl admitted. She smacked the horse's rump. "Hurry." The horse began to move faster and Brick was now in view of the two of them. "We are close to one of our competitors."
"You'd better not hurt him." Eva glared.
"I will endeavor to get ahead without causing him harm." Xena replied.
/
Jo has reached the end of a car. "I think I lost him."
"Oh you do, do you?!" Max cackled, he ran down the aisle now pushing a food cart down the center of it. Jo would not have time to open the door to the next car before getting hit, and the cart left no room for her to run past.
"Oh crud." The jockette said as Max slammed the cart into her.
/
Back outside Brick spots Xena. "Xena, it's good to see you are fine. I'm glad to see you didn't leave Eva there." The cadet looked apologetic. "Had I the presence of mind I would have taken you with me." He told Eva.
"I get it, you were distracted by Jo being Jo." Eva rolled her eyes.
As though the universe had perfect timing, Jo crashed through the window of the train onto a nearby horse. She glared as she saw who else was there. "Oh great. I thought I got rid of you!"
"I was lucky enough a horse was there." Brick noted.
"And of course Xena's here too. With Eva. I mean seriously what happened to everyone for themselves?" Jo asked.
"You do not want me to cause harm to Brick, does the same apply to Jo?" Xena asked.
"No." Eva smirked.
"I thought not." With that Xena moved forwards to start slamming Jo's horse against the train.
"Hurry!" Jo told her horse. It began to speed up. Brick and Xena's horses were in hot pursuit.
/
In the Helicopter Chris is watching all three dots on the screen as they went along side by side. "Wow they just don't seem to want it that badly. Still it's a dead heat, people! Anyone could be in the final two!"
/
The horses made it to the beach as the three horses ran side by side. Xena slammed her horse into Jo's again. "Two can play at that game!" The jockette said, slamming Xena's horse back.
"You two are going to get those horses hurt. Think through your actions." Brick said.
"I have thought through my actions. I need to get ahead of Jo. Since our horses are about the same speed, I need to take any advantage I can." Xena said.
The scene showed Chris at the finish line waving at them to stop. "Look out! Woah!" All three horses skid to a halt sending all four riders flying. When they landed Brick was at the bottom with Jo hovering over him. Eva and Xena had fallen to the side of them.
"Why won't you get out of my head?" Jo asked, her breath gusting against Brick's face. "I just want these stupid feelings to go away."
"Jo…" Brick trailed.
Chris interrupted the moment. "Uh, I still have a race to the million going on? You interested? Hawaii's over there. Grab a boat and head to the big island."
Brick and Jo ended up taking a bit to untangle. "Move your legs away from mine!" Jo snapped.
"I'm trying." Brick insisted
They finally managed to stand up. "Finally! I can't believe that took so long-"
At that moment the sound of a motor caught their attention. Xena had made it to a boat while they were distracted. Eva was already running down the dock as quickly as possible, just barely managing to jump on to the boat as it took off.
"And Xena plus one takes the lead!" Chris announced. Jo and Brick both rushed for the boats, as they passed him on the dock Chris smirked. "I really love this show."
/
The boats are neck and neck as they cross the water. Jo slammed into Xena and Eva's boat as she passed by. "Ugh are you just gonna take that?" Eva said.
"We will go around her." Xena decided, moving forward.
Brick drove past them quickly. "Why on earth are you letting them pass!" Eva insisted.
"If I know Chris, there's more than water between here and our final destination." Xena said.
Jo saw that Brick was catching up to her. "Oh come on!" She threw a cod at his face, then pulled out a swordfish.
Brick brought one out and they both started sword fighting. Brick is defending mostly. "Why on earth are there swordfish in here?"
"Chris probably put them there as some kind of joke." Jo replied.
They continued to fight, when Brick looked ahead, his eyes widening. "Jo!"
"What?" The jockette asked. She looked where he was pointing. A line of sea mines was in front of them. Both contestants scream as they hit into it.
The focus moved back to show Xena had speed up her boat and was now driving though the place the mines had previously been.
/
On the island of Hawaii everyone stood waiting for the final three. Chris stood at the very front as Xena arrived on her and Eva's boat. "And then there were two." The overlogical girl said.
"Xena makes it into the final two." Chris announced. One question remains, Who will she battle? Brick or Jo?" At that moment loud screams could be heard as the other two boats crash landed. Sending Jo, Brick, and surprisingly Max, all on to the beach. Chris looked ecstatic. "Oh wow! That's what you call a tie, people!"
"How did you get here?!" Jo asked Max.
"I got off the train and snuck into one of the boats." Max bragged. You guys were riding those horses for a while, and then you were pretty distracted fighting one another." The focus zoomed in on Max. "And now I will prove that I am the master of disasters! I am the king of conquest! I am-"
A pair of handcuffs closed over Max's wrists. The focus moved out to show two police officers. "Arrested for trespassing, assault, petty theft, attempting to hijack an aircraft, destruction of property, and criminal negligence."
"What?" Max gasped as he was dragged away. "You can't do this to me-"
Chef chuckled as the focus moved to him. "Guess he finally proved he was a bad guy."
"Well that took up so much time we can't even check to see who won the second place in the finale." Chris smirked.
"What?!" Everyone gasped.
"Yep. So come back next time, to find out who battles who, and see someone finally win the million. Right here on Total! Drama! World Tour!"
A/N You have no idea how hard this decision was for me. And it's solely because of one reason. Xena is my OC, so it feels kind of like favoritism to have her in the finale. I didn't want to from a principle point of view. Eventually I felt like my bias against Xena making the finale was clouding my judgment as a writer. So I asked myself, if Xena wasn't my OC, would I have her in the finale? And the answer was a resounding yes.
I tried to think of who to have in the finale. Eva and Jo? Too Similar. Brick and Jo? There's a difference but it isn't quite the same theming I want. Eva and Brick? They're friends and I don't want a friendship finale.
Thematically I want the final two to be similar yet different from the canon finale. Which leaves either Xena and Brick, or Xena and Jo. Technically Xena and Eva could work too. I considered it, but given Jo and Brick's rivalry it felt like they deserved a one on one. So Eva was eliminated in Drumheller. I'll explain the theme I landed on in the author's notes after the finale.
I hope everything was well written. Jo and Brick's conflict, Xena working with Eva and the dynamic they have as a result. I hope Jo and Brick aren't written too similarly to Alejandro and Heather in canon.
And Max is going to Jail/Juvie. I could think of no better ending for his plotline than him finally getting arrested after going too far. Speaking of Max stands accused of:
Trespassing: For being on the plane without permission. Even if Chris knew he never gave consent so he can press charges.
Assault: For his actions against Jo on the train, which has been broadcast internationally
Petty Theft: For stealing Chris' TV Remote.
Attempting to Hijack an aircraft: For trying to steal the plane.
Destruction of Property: For blowing up the plane.
Finally, Criminal Negligence: Because he endangered the lives of multiple people when the plane blew up. It was unintentional, so I think this is a better fit than terrorism.
