Hiccup, Astrid and Bon Clay were now face-to-face with Magellan, who was dripping with poison. When an unconscious guard came to, he was instantly terrified of being anywhere close to him.

"Oh crap, I've got to get out of here!" he yelled, quickly crawling away.

"It is truly quite hot down here," said Magellan.

The other guards began to regain consciousness and were now putting as much distance between themselves and Magellan as possible.

"Warden, wait! Please! Give us a second!"

"Don't start fighting yet!"

"Everyone clear out! Warden's poison will get us to!"

"He must be terrifying in his own men on running away from him," said Astrid.

Hiccup looked at Magellan. "Look, I'm hot, I'm mad, and I'm hungry. So I suggest you get out of the way."

"Very soon, you won't have to worry about anything," said Magellan.

"Dragon Boy, whatever you do, don't fight him!" Bon Clay warned. "Listen, he has the power of the Venom-Venom Fruit! He is the last person you ever want to fight. Make a run for it!"

"Venom-Venom Fruit?" said Hiccup. "So he's poison?"

"Indeed I am; you are a bit out of your element, Dragon," said Magellan. "Even though you're looking, I expected more from a pirate with a bounty of 300 million, especially one that has caused the World Government so much trouble. Speaking of trouble, I can't imagine how you wormed your way through security, but here you are. Rest assured, you will suffer for tarnishing my reputation.

"I know why you're here; by the way, you and the War Maiden came to rescue your brother Ace D Portgas, Second Division Commander of the Hairy Hooligan Pirates, whose captain is also your father. An ambitious endeavour, even though a foolish one.

"Strugglers, you might his fate and yours was sealed the moment you set foot here. You had quite the little rampage, but all that will come to an end now. And one final thing, I will find out how exactly you broke into my prison; you will spill every last juicy detail to me."

"I'll die before I say a word," said Hiccup.

Magellan smirked. "You criminals always spat out that sort of nonsense before your interrogation. But listen, Dragon, when you face the torment I have in store for you, you'll say anything for the mercy of death."

"Listen, please!" Bon Clay pleaded. "Magellan's body is poisonous, crazy terrible pfoison. If you so much as touch him, you're finished. You can't beat a guy like that!"

"He's right, Hiccup," said Astrid. "I don't think he is an enemy we could take on."

"I don't think he'll just let us walk away," said Hiccup.

"Let's just go back the way we came to the Pool of Blood," said Bon Clay. "We need a high tailored to Level V!"

"There's no escape," said Magellan. "The staircase to Level V is protected by three Demon Guards and their commander. Every exit on this floor has already been accounted for, and there will be no more running."

Hannibal was guarding the staircase to Level III but was rather conflicted about what to do with the prisoners.

"Now, should I stop, or should I let the warden take the blame?" he pondered.

"This is your grave!" said Magellan.

"No!" Bon Clay cried. "I won't believe it! I can't believe it!"

Magellan then began to coat his entire body in poison. "Hydra!"

Then, shooting out from his back was a dragon's head.

"Did he create some sort of venom monster?" Hiccup stared.

"It looks like the entire thing is made of poison," said Astrid.

The hydra then dived toward Hiccup, who quickly took to the sky to avoid it.

Astrid grabbed her axe and was about to charge in, but Bon Clay pulled her back.

"Don't do it, my dear," he said. "If you touch that poison, it's the last thing you'll ever do."

"Then how are we supposed to fight that we can't touch him?" Astrid asked.

"You don't," said Bon Clay simply.

Hiccup then saw that the hydra was now heading straight toward Astrid and Bon Clay; he quickly landed in front of them.

"Plasma Blast!" he yelled.

He fired a plasma blast, which struck the hydra and blew it to pieces.

"Good thing I got some long-range attacks on me," said Hiccup.

"I said there was no escape, and I meant it!" Magellan yelled and created three hydras from his poison.

"Great, there's more of them, and they're bigger, not the best combination," said Hiccup.

"Let's get out of here!" Astrid yelled.

They quickly ran off as the hydra chased after them straight towards the guards.

"Warden Magellan, wait, please! We're still evacuating!"

Sadly, the hydra heads do not stop and consume a few of the guards. Almost instantly, the poison began to eat away at their bodies.

"He does realise he's poison in his own people, right?" Astrid stared.

"I think he's more focused on killing us than anything else!" said Hiccup.

"The hydra's venom is a paralysing neurotoxin," said Bon Clay. "It makes its way through your body, causing horrific pain before you finally die."

Magellan began to walk across the bridge, past men he had poisoned.

"It's killing me! Give me the antidote, hurry!"

"Boss, why?"

"Stay out of the way when I'm fighting you damn fools," said Magellan. "You got that?"

"We're terribly sorry, sir."

Hiccup was flying, trying to escape from the three hydra heads that were currently chasing him and the others.

"I don't really like this sort of attention!" Hiccup yelled.

"That's the least of our problems if we get poisoned," said Bon Clay. "You know it really sucks that we're all going to die."

Hiccup then veered to the right, and the hydra heads followed him.

"Looks like they are really after me," he said. "Now catch me if you can, hydra!"

He then dived down into the flames, and the hydra followed; he quickly soared upwards, and the head slammed into the flaming pit below.

"Good thing I'm fireproof," Hiccup smiled. "Too bad you're not."

The hydra raised its net, revealing that its head had been completely burnt off on the stump.

"How clever," said Magellan. "You have some of your brother's cunning, after all. Still, this is the end."

He then began to chew something in his mouth like he was chewing some bubblegum. The guards had maintained a safe distance away from Magellan and realised what he was about to do.

"Oh crap, get ready!"

"Here it comes!"

Magellan then began to blow a bubble and shot it straight at Hiccup. As it flew through the air, it unleashed some sort of gas.

"Chloroform Ball!" he yelled.

When the gas made contact with the flames, it suddenly exploded, but Hiccup was able to fly to safety just in time.

"That was close," he said as he hovered in midair.

Unfortunately, the gas was starting to fill the area, and the guards quickly put on some gas masks.

"But you gas masks on! Stay clear; the warden is in the middle of a battle!"

Unfortunately, the prisoners trapped in their cells were being exposed to the gas, and they did not have the fortune of having gas masks.

"What is this? Teargas?"

"No, it's Magellan poison!"

The guards quickly use their prison uniforms to cover their noses and mouths.

"Go somewhere else to fight, you bastards."

"Who's he up against anyway?"

"I don't know, maybe that intruder they're talking about. Heat Hell plus poison gas, give me a break."

Ryker just sat quietly in his cell, watching everything transpire.

Hiccup quickly used his wings to blow away the gas. "Don't know what this is, but it stung."

The two remaining hydra heads dived straight towards him but stopped in midair.

"They stopped?" Hiccup frowned.

Magellan then began to swim through the poison. "Down the venom road."

He then shot out of one of the hydra mouths and headed straight for Hiccup.

"Try as you might, you won't escape from me," he said as he drew some daggers.

Hiccup quickly dodged his swipe and then jumped back to avoid getting crushed by his second blow.

"I can barely see," Hiccup winced.

"Could I offer you some of this?" Magellan asked, tossing some poison at him.

Hiccup quickly dodged the attack but found it difficult to fly. Seizing his opportunity, Magellan launched himself at him. Fortunately, he was able to dodge at the last moment, and Magellan struck the wall behind him.

"One touch and it's over," said Hiccup as he landed. He then looked up and saw Magellan melting through the rock wall. "He's melting through the rock?"

"First the wall and then you," said Magellan.

"I've got to rescue Ace," said Hiccup as he stood up.

"Surely even you must know that your death is imminent," said Magellan as he slid down the wall and landed behind him. "Just like Ace."

Buggy and Mr 3 watched as the guards took the injured to the medical room, some of whom had been poisoned by Magellan.

"Please give me the antidote! I'm dying!"

"You mean they were all poisoned by the warden?"

"Yeah, they got caught up in the crossfire between him and that Dragon kid. At this rate, he'll end up poisoning all of us."

"Oh man, I hope not."

"Did you hear that?" Buggy asked, looking at Mr 3. "Sounds like Dragon is in a tough fight."

"Well, too bad for him, but good for us," Mr 3 smiled.

"What?" Buggy frowned.

"Of all the awful things Impel Down has to offer, Warden Magellan is by far the most deadly. Right now, he's focused on Dragon, so while they're likely guards posted at the staircase to Level III, preventing us from an attempted escape, we can at least take comfort in knowing that we won't face the worst terror. What I'm saying is this is our chance."

Astrid and Bon Clay watched as Hiccup fought against Magellan, and it looked like a one-sided fight.

"Hiccup's in trouble," Astrid panicked.

"I know, but there's nothing we can do what he's been subjected to that dreadful poison," said Bon Clay in tears.

Astrid looked at him with a hopeful look. "Surely there's something we can do?"

Bon Clay shook his head. "Trust me, my dear, if there was something we could do to save his life, I would do it. However, we'll only get ourselves killed, so the best we can do is hang back until we can think of a way to help."

Astrid didn't like it, but she knew he was right, and she hated the only thing they could do was watch.

They looked up and saw Hiccup dodging Magellan's attacks despite being poisoned.

"It's amazing that boy can keep on fighting even after being poisoned," said Bon Clay.

"I would like nothing more to help him out, but like you said, I'll only get myself killed," said Astrid, punching the wall in frustration.

"I do truly wish there was a way to help," said Bon Clay sadly.

Magellan launched one of his poisonous daggers at Hiccup, who quickly knocked to the side with his tail. The dagger peers at the ground beneath him, and he started to fall, but he was able to glide his way to safety. However, when he hit the ground, he practically toppled over.

"How is someone supposed to beat someone they can't touch?" Astrid stared.

"There is a reason why Warden Magellan guards the most dangerous criminals in the most infamous prisoner in the world," said Bon Clay. "He's the lord and master of Hell itself."

"I hate the only thing we can do is watch!" said Astrid, frustrated.

"So do I," said Bon Clay as he cried. "Believe me, my dear, it is just as painful for me as it is for you. However, the best we can do is try and survive; I'm sure Dragon Boy does not wish to see you dead."

Astrid shook her head. "No! I'm not leaving him!"

"Then I am sorry," said Bon Clay and then kicked hard in the gut. He then picked up and looked at Hiccup one last time. 'I am sorry, Dragon Boy, but I am a coward. The least I can do is make sure that your friend stays alive.'

He then ran off.

Buggy and Mr 3 had reached the doors leading to the stairs that would take them back up to Level III.

"I'm telling you we have to make a move while Magellan is busy with Dragon," said Mr 3.

"Are you out of your mind?" Buggy stared, gesturing to the huge group of guards guarding the door. "Look at how many guards there are down there. It's nuts."

"That doesn't matter; just think about it," said Mr 3. "They assigned the more powerful Demon Guards to protect the staircase to Level V. It's more important to them not to let Dragon down to the lower levels. Meaning they are the crappest security they have here. If we miss this chance soon after, they'll tighten their defences. Dragon will lose at some point. Once he does, this window is closed. We must get to Level III before that happens."

Buggy then looked at Hannibal. "Actually, maybe you're right. I've never heard about Vice Warden Hannibal having any Devil Fruit powers. If I can take out those guards with a Buggy Ball…" He then smiled and rose to his feet. "…we can do it. Hannibal can't be that tough, right."

"Now you're thinking," said Mr 3 as he jumped to his feet. "All right, let's do it. I don't want to stay in this heat one moment longer. It's now or never."

The two of them looked at one another and nodded, then jumped down and landed in front of the guards.

"Nothing is going to stop us from getting through!" Buggy yelled.

"That's right!" said Buggy.

"Vice Warden Hannibal, look it, Buggy the Clown and Mr 3."

"Looks like they're trying to get to Level III; we can't let those bastards get any higher. Let's go!"

"Buggy…" Buggy yelled as he lifted his foot.

"Candle…" said Mr 3, raising his hand.

"Wait a minute!" Hannibal yelled. "Guards, stand down."

Everyone just stared at Hannibal, bewildered.

"Vice-Warden, why?" a guard asked.

"That's right, I'm the Vice-Warden, and I'm in charge here," said Hannibal. "Yes, yes, here's my chance. It seems as if fortune has finally favoured me. On top of Dragon Conqueror Hiccup and War Maiden Astrid's invasion, if these two manage to escape, I'm sure the officials wouldn't tolerate this magnitude of incompetence."

Buggy and Mr 3 looked at one another, wondering if they heard right.

"Says he's the one in charge, they'll blame Warden Magellan for everything that happens," he said. "After that, I'll be promoted to warden, as I so richly deserve."

"Uh, Vice Warden, are you sure you don't want us to stop those two?"

"Please give us an order. Anything, sir."

"Okay, everybody move," Hannibal ordered, much to everyone's astonishment. He then looked at Buggy and Mr 3 as if they were very important, influential guests. "We've been expecting you. So please come right this way."

Buggy and Mr 3 looked at him dumbfounded.

"You heard me, men, move it," Hannibal ordered. "Make way down the road to our guests."

The guards complied with the strange, unorthodox order.

"No way. Is he serious?"

"Maybe this is all part of the Vice-Warden's secret ploy."

"There you are," said Hannibal, gesturing to the door that led to the stairs. "Please go on right ahead."

Buggy and Mr 3, understandably, assumed that this was some sort of ploy.

"Screw that!" they snapped.

"Do you really think you can fool us?" said Buggy. "We can see right through your sneaky little plan."

"There is no way our escape could be that easy," said Mr 3. "You could at least make it less obvious."

Hannibal looked at them, confused.

"Suck it freak! Buggy Ball!" Buggy yelled, firing off his Buggy Ball at him.

"Take this… Candle Lock!" Mr 3 yelled, unleashing his wax.

Their attack struck Hannibal and the guards. The guards' arms were locked in place with wax restraints, and then they were blown away by the explosion of the Buggy Ball. However, Hannibal somehow survived the attack and looked completely unscathed as he blew away the smoke with his trident.

"What the hell is wrong with you two idiots?!" he snapped. "I said you could go!"

Buggy and Mr 3 were completely taken aback; it was clear that Hannibal was quite the powerhouse.

"Oh crap," said Mr 3.

"This is in good," said Buggy.

Meanwhile, Hiccup was completely worn out from his battle with Magellan and was now on his hands and knees as the man approached him.

"I suggest you put an end to this nonsense and submit," Magellan advised.

"I'm going to rescue my brother, and we'll escape from here together," said Hiccup as he rose to his feet. "I won't die without even seeing him, and I am not going to let you execute him. You hear me?"

Hiccup then began to enter into his Beta Form.

"What's this form?" Magellan asked. "I do not have time for your tricks."

"I'm not willing like this, not without going all out," said Hiccup.

"Go ahead and try; you'll only dig yourself a deeper grave," said Magellan as he raised his arm.

"Plasam…" said Hiccup as he began to charge for a more powerful blast. "…Cannon!"

He then fired a plasma blast that moved with incredible speed and slammed right into Magellan's chest. Magellan had been taken completely by surprise and fell to his hands and knees.
