Arkham Asylum
On a windy day… At what remains of Arkham, Cyborg gets the coordinates of Arkham Asylum and uses his boom-tube to teleport to the entrance, along with Shazam, Harley Quinn and Catwoman. Harley couldn't help but smile since she was doing a mission with her Shazzy. Cyborg remains sour but alert since there are bigger problems to deal with.
Catwoman was leading the way, "This way!"
Everyone continued to follow her lead, unaware that someone was watching them from above. That person also smirked, keeping her eye on the champion, knowing what she was going to do with him, "The power of the wizard won't protect you from me, Billy Batson…"
That was when a purple beam came out of nowhere and shot Shazam from the back.
"ARGH….UGH…" Shazam screamed in pain. The others saw this and were shocked to see him change color.
"Shazzy?!" Harley was shocked to see 'her' Shazzy hurt like this, "Are you okay?"
"ARGH…Ugh...AHHHHH!" That was when he looked up and looked at his comrades with dark purple eyes, "Hehahahah!"
"Cyborg, what's up with Billy?" Catwoman asked.
"The kid's mind-controlled!" Cyborg answers.
"By whom?!" Harley questioned.
"Raven…." Cyborg answered once he noticed the hero's dark purple eyes.
The mind-controlled Shazam started walking towards the three while surfing the power, "So… Who wants to get shocked first?"
Cyborg gives Catwoman and Harley an "I'll put him down" look.
"Don't underestimate him," Catwoman warns him before getting shocked by Shazam.
Harley tries to use her guns but Shazam quickly disarms her and knocks her out as well. He then kicks Cyborg in the face.
"Time to shut you down… Permanently"
"Okay, Chump…. Gloves Off"
CYBORG VS SHAZAM
As Cyborg gets up from the kick, he charges at Shazam, ready to fight back. Shazam uses his lightning powers to try and shock Cyborg again, but Cyborg dodges and throws a punch, which Shazam blocks with his arm. The two continue to exchange blows, with Shazam using his super strength and Cyborg using his robotic enhancements.
As the fight intensifies, the two start to use their other abilities. Shazam uses his flight to try and gain an advantage, but Cyborg uses his sonic cannons to knock him out of the air. Shazam then tries to use his magic lightning to immobilize Cyborg, but Cyborg's armor protects him.
The two are evenly matched, but Shazam's mind control powers give him a slight edge. He starts to manipulate Cyborg's thoughts, making him see illusions of his worst fears. But Cyborg's determination and strong will allow him to break free from Shazam's control.
Cyborg then unleashes his ultimate weapon – the Mother Box. The powerful technology allows him to create a massive energy blast that knocks Shazam to the ground. As Shazam struggles to get up, Cyborg approaches him and delivers a final punch, knocking him out.
CYBORG WINS!
"Nobody's gonna miss you!" Cyborg declared to the fallen traitor of the Regime.
The man-machine aimed his arm cannon at the knocked-out hero, intending to finish the traitor off with a fatal blow. That was when Harley ran towards and pushed him before he could do the deed. Catwoman also caught up to them and looked at the unconscious Shazam. The two women then looked and glared at Cyborg.
"Shazzy better wake up!" Harley told him in anger.
"And he better be breathing" Catwoman warns him as well.
Cyborg rolls his eyes at them and starts looking around, "Raven! Show yourself!"
...
The demonic-woman did indeed appear in front of the heroes, "Nice to see you again, Cyborg…"
"I would say the same thing… Under better circumstances," Cyborg admits before glaring at his former comrade, "Why are you with Grodd of all people?! He's with Brainiac and they're destroying the Earth!"
"Hah! You think I don't know that already?" Raven sarcastically asked, "I know that those two are destroying the Earth, but their destruction will bring him back"
"Bring who back?" Harley Quinn asked.
"Oh, Harley, you went to Hell with Billy and Wonder Woman's mother, you should already know…" Raven said before shooting Harley, knocking her out. She then looks at the other two, "Now, with you…"
"Leave the girls to themselves" Catwoman told Cyborg who backed off from the fight. Catwoman then starts walking towards Raven, "First Superman, Trigon, Grodd, then Brainiac… Tell me, who's the real daddy?" She smirked, pressing Raven's buttons.
And it worked because Raven started choking her with her powers before slamming her onto the ground hard, "NONE OF THEM!" She then calmed down, "But serving Trigon has given me enough power to unleash hell upon all!"
CATWOMAN VS RAVEN
Catwoman quickly got up from the ground and ran towards Raven, dodging the dark magic that she was throwing her way. As she got closer, she used her whip to trip Raven before trying to hit her with a series of quick punches and kicks.
Raven, on the other hand, was using her dark magic to try and stop Catwoman, but the agile thief was able to dodge most of her attacks. However, Raven was able to catch Catwoman off guard with a powerful blast of dark energy, sending her flying across the room.
Catwoman quickly recovered and used her cat-like reflexes to dodge more of Raven's attacks. She then pulled out a pair of bolas and threw them at Raven, successfully trapping her legs and bringing her to the ground.
With Raven temporarily immobilized, Catwoman took the opportunity to grab a nearby chair and smash it over Raven's head. But to her surprise, Raven was still conscious and quickly used her telekinetic powers to send Catwoman flying into a nearby wall.
The two continued to exchange blows, with Catwoman using her agility and her whip to dodge and counter Raven's dark magic. But Raven was not backing down, and she was determined to prove her loyalty to Trigon by defeating Catwoman.
The fight was intense and evenly matched, but in the end, Catwoman was able to use her quick reflexes and her cat-like agility to dodge Raven's attacks and land a final punch that knocked her out cold.
CATWOMAN WINS!
"Daddy's Girl…" Catwoman smirked, taunting the fallen heroine.
Raven then got up from her defeat, "This… Isn't… OVER!" She then disappears from within.
...
Harley and Cyborg then caught up to her, hoping that it was the last time they'll see Raven. However, that was when a purple mist appeared and blankets the trio.
"Pheromones!" Cyborg uses his sonic vacuum to clear all that mist.
However, it seems like it was too late because Harley Quinn started coughing, which caused Catwoman to be concerned.
"Harley? You okay?"
Harley staggers in a daze away from Catwoman while coughing, almost fainting. She then somehow walked into the arms of Poison Ivy.
"Hmmm," The so-called guardian of the green hums while stroking Harley's chin, "Sweet, sweet Harley… This time, you'll be a good girl for Momma~" She then gently pushes Harley forward, who almost fell but kept her balance.
The former clown princess of crime then looked up at the two heroes with crazed villainous eyes, "Hey kiddies… Let's play "Eeny Meeny Miney... MURDER"!"
"Harley needs a 'girl-talk'..." The cat thief said, determined to get Harley back into her senses.
Cyborg nods and blasts at Poison Ivy so she keeps her distance. He chases after Ivy as well.
"Hisssss! Cat fight!" Harley "hissed" like a cat before reloading her gun and aiming it at Catwoman.
"Sorry, Harley," Catwoman apologizes while holding onto her whip, "I'll try not to leave a scar"
CATWOMAN VS HARLEY QUINN
There was a tense silence as the two women stood facing each other, their weapons at the ready. Harley's crazed expression slowly turned into a sly grin as she twirled her gun in her hand.
Catwoman's eyes narrowed as she lunged forward, her whip cracking through the air. Harley dodged and weaved, her acrobatic skills coming in handy as she avoided the whip's deadly strike.
The two continued to spar, their movements fluid and graceful. Catwoman was impressed by Harley's agility, but she knew she couldn't let her guard down. Harley may be unpredictable, but she was also a skilled fighter.
As they traded blows, Catwoman noticed that Harley's movements were becoming more erratic. She seemed to be losing control, her laughter turning into maniacal cackles. Catwoman knew that she had to end this fight quickly before things got out of hand.
With a swift kick, Catwoman knocked Harley's gun out of her hand and sent her stumbling backwards. Before she could recover, Catwoman pounced and pinned her to the ground.
CATWOMAN WINS!
"Ivy sure did a number on you…" Catwoman said to the defeated mind-controlled clown princess.
"AHH!" Suddenly, Cyborg is tossed next to Catwoman by Ivy. He then stands up and told Catwoman, "Your girlfriend's a real man-eater"
...
That was when Poison Ivy came with her vines. She then lands down in her extended roots, "Arkham gave us so many memories, Selina… Bewitching guards, late night poker... mandatory shock therapy…"
Catwoman glares at Ivy when she says those things.
Ivy then continued, "Oh, that's right. You were spared. Thanks to your billionaire boy-toy."
"I didn't ask for special treatment," Catwoman reminds Ivy.
"To hell with this pity party!" Cyborg remarks in anger.
"You're just dying to hurt me, aren't you, Tin Man?" Ivy asked, "It won't bring back what you lost. Especially below the waist…"
Now Cyborg was pissed! He didn't ask to become a 'freak of nature'! He was badly hurt, and his cold and distant, yet loving and caring father had to do what he needed to do to save his life! While he is grateful towards his father for saving his life, as well as giving him cool moves, he truly wished to be fully human.
Anyways, he was just about to charge at Ivy for her insult but Catwoman stops him. That was when they saw Harley twitching in her knocked-out state. Ivy knew what happened to her former bestie.
"Poor Harley smelled the wrong roses and now she's going into shock…" Poison Ivy said with a shrug, "Bye-bye, baby doll"
"Keep her alive… This is personal," Catwoman told Cyborg who reluctantly does so while picking up Harley and moving out of harm's way. Catwoman then glares at Poison Ivy in disbelief, Harley was your friend, Pamela… She LOVED you!"
"I have no more friends, Selina," Ivy tells her, getting ready to fight, "All I have is the Green…"
CATWOMAN VS POISON IVY
The two women clash in a fierce fight, using their agility and strength to their advantage. Ivy uses her vines to attack and restrain Catwoman while Catwoman uses her claws and whip to defend herself.
As the fight continues, Catwoman manages to dodge and evade Ivy's attacks, using her quick reflexes and acrobatic skills. She then sees an opening and strikes Ivy with her whip, causing her to stumble back. Ivy quickly recovers and retaliates with her vines, but Catwoman is able to dodge and counter, leaving Ivy frustrated. That was when the two clashed into each other
CLASH
"Why do you always have to play the hero, Selina?" Ivy taunts, trying to get under Catwoman's skin.
"Because it's the right thing to do," Catwoman replies, landing a powerful kick on Ivy's stomach.
END OF CLASH
The two women continue to fight, their moves becoming more calculated and precise. Catwoman uses her agility to her advantage, while Ivy uses her plants and toxins to try and weaken Catwoman. But Catwoman is able to fight through the poison and deliver powerful blows to Ivy.
As the fight intensifies, Catwoman sees an opportunity and grabs some nearby vines, using them to restrain Ivy. She then uses her whip to knock Ivy unconscious, ending the fight.
CATWOMAN WINS!
"So much for the Gotham City Sirens…"
Catwoman runs over to Harley, checking her pulse. She finds out that Harley's still alive, but in a cardiac arrest. She then looks at Cyborg who shrugs as if he was telling her, "I got her out of the line of fire; what do you want from me?".
...
She then got closer to Harley before looking at Cyborg, "You got a defibrillator in there?"
"Yeah, but-" Cyborg was about to say until he and Catwoman heard Shazam groaning and waking up.
"Ow… W-What happened?" The champion hero asked while rubbing his head in pain. He then saw Harley on the ground, "Harley!" He went towards her. He then looks at Catwoman, "Is she okay?"
"For a little bit…"
"Okay, step aside, I got this," Shazam assured them before getting close to Harley.
"Seriously?" Cyborg asked sarcastically.
"Seriously," Shazam glared at him, "I did this to revive Hespera once… Sure, it was temporarily considering that Kalypso killed her with her powerful, yet wooden dragon, which by the way, major flaw design in my opinion, bu-"
"Billy!" Catwoman shouted, interrupting him as well, "You can revive Harley?"
"Yeah, I ca-"
"Do it then!"
Shazam gets started by rubbing his hands and gently as possible zaps Harley so he doesn't turn her to dust by accident.
Cyborg doesn't want his old former teammate to revive someone he despises...but, knowing he'll catch hell from Batman, he keeps quiet and lets Shazam do this thing.
The Champion continues to rub his hands and zap Harley a second time. He then did it one last time.
"Harley?" Catwoman checked to see if her partner was gonna be okay.
"Harley… Please," Shazam pleaded, "Please, wake up"
Harley moves ever-so-slightly, gaining consciousness and moans...as if in pleasure, "Again… Again…"
Shazam and Catwoman were so happy that Harley was okay. Even Cyborg, despite his hatred towards the clown princess, couldn't help but smile.
The Underground
With Harley back on her feet, the four heroes reach the old Underground and follow the tracks, being wary about who or what is out there. On their way, Harley asked a question.
"You think we'll find Dinah and Ollie once we get to Brainiac?"
"Hopefully, Harley" Shazam gives her a comforting smile.
"Seriously? They're already dead." Cyborg said without a care in the world.
"Really, Victor?" Shazam asked in an understandable tone of anger.
"Why you gotta say that?!" Harley also asked in anger as she couldn't believe that Cyborg would say something like that.
"Brainiac collects the best and discards the rest," Cyborg explains while Harley stopped in fear, "Black Canary and Arrow? Definitely not the best"
Harley and Shazam stay where they were in disbelief as Catwoman and Cyborg continue. Shazam gives her a hopeful smile to cheer her up.
"I'd take them over you any day, Victor." Catwoman said in anger, causing Cyborg to roll his eyes. Harley and Shazam then caught up to them.
They reach a brick wall. Catwoman and Harley go to different parts and feel around while Cyborg looks ready to blast the whole thing. The women then look and nod at each other and push in bricks at the same time. The wall opens up to the Batcave.
"Harley, Billy," Catwoman got their attention, "Wait here and make sure nobody follows us" She then enters and motions Cyborg to follow her
"You got it," Shazam said while Harley did the salute.
"After you… Please" Cyborg said sarcastically to Harley and Shazam before leaving to follow Catwoman.
Harley's smile fades as she watches the two enter. She worries about Catwoman...and MAYBE a bit about Cyborg as they head deeper. And she wasn't the only one.
"Hope those two will be okay…" Shazam said with a concerned look on his face.
The Batcave
Having almost approached the Batcave entrance, Cyborg and Catwoman are suspicious of the silence in that place.
"It's too quiet…" Catwoman notes.
Cyborg uses his computerized radar to detect the existence of any other humans near them. He finds two of them.
"Bogeys...and they're not bats."
Suddenly, Cyborg raises his arm shield just as two shots hit it. Out of the shadows come Deadshot and Bane. The two approached the heroes with Bane glaring at Catwoman.
"I told Grodd you were loyal to the Bat. He called me… "paranoid"," Bane told her before continuing, "At least he listened when I said Batman wouldn't relinquish his Cave so easily. Soon, not just this place, but all of Gotham will be MINE!"
Deadshot shoots at Catwoman, but Cyborg blocks the shot. Catwoman flips to the side and kicks Deadshot down as he's trying to re-load. The two go aside, leaving Bane to Cyborg.
"Cyborg… My old comrade" Bane smirked, "happy" to see his old regime ally.
"I was never down with Superman recruiting criminals to the Regime… That was his call" Cyborg told him.
"We're both considered criminals now," Bane reminds him before adding, "So ask yourself… What is the difference between us?"
CYBORG VS BANE
The two warriors engage in a fierce battle, trading blows and utilizing their unique abilities. Bane, with his incredible strength and venom-enhanced agility, proves to be a formidable opponent for Cyborg, who uses his advanced technology and cybernetic enhancements to fight back. The two are evenly matched, each landing powerful hits and dodging the other's attacks.
As the fight rages on, Bane taunts Cyborg, trying to get under his skin and make him doubt himself. But Cyborg remains focused and determined, refusing to let Bane's mind games distract him.
In the end, it is Cyborg's advanced technology and tactical skills that give him the edge. He is able to outmaneuver Bane and land a powerful blast that knocks the villain to the ground.
CYBORG WINS!
"The difference between us? I'm still standing!" Cyborg declares, standing over Bane's defeated form.
Catwoman, having given Deadshot the slip, rejoins Cyborg, "Ready to meet Brother Eye?"
"About damn time!"
...
They walk to the main console, monitors still covered with Brainiac's logo, "System's still running. Brother Eye needs a clean power source... something Brainiac can't touch.
"The cave's got backup generators." Catwoman suggested.
Cyborg smiled, "That should do it"
That was when Brainiac appeared in the monitors, "Victor Stone. The pinnacle of human evolution…"
"Someone has a secret admirer" Catwoman notes while Cyborg rolls his eyes out of annoyance.
"But your humanity inhibits your true potential. You must purge it."
"Interesting thought. Just one problem: I'm a team player. And humanity? That's my team!" Cyborg declares. He may have made mistakes, but there was no way in hell that he's joining an evil alien overlord!
"But you are capable of so much more…" Brainiac insisted before shooting a purple beam out from his eye and towards Cyborg, hitting him.
As he screams, he goes to one knee and groans. Suddenly, it's as if a copy of the mechanics of his cybernetic body is literally tearing itself out of Cyborg's body. When it's done, an all-robot version of Cyborg appears.
"Grid online," The cyborg aka Grid introduces himself while looking at Cyborg, "I am your vast intellect, liberated from the weaknesses of flesh and emotion"
"Apparently liberated from my good looks and charm, too" Cyborg retorts.
Catwoman was quite surprised to see another robot who looks exactly like Cyborg, except for two key differences… He's all metal, no flesh and he's green.
"We need that backup power. Now!" Cyborg told Catwoman, who quickly left as she knew exactly where it was, before looking at his look-alike, "So, uh,..."Grid". This "mirror match" as weird for you as it is for me?"
Grid then explains, "For years, I dwelled as a subroutine within your system. An anomaly. I never fathomed an existence outside you. Now, I realize my perfection...and your obsolescence!"
CYBORG VS GRID
The two go head to head, with Cyborg trying to reason with Grid and convince him that humanity is worth fighting for. But Grid is relentless, using his advanced technology to overpower and weaken Cyborg.
But Cyborg refuses to give up, knowing that his humanity gives him a strength that Grid could never have. With a burst of electricity, he overloads Grid's circuits and sends him crashing to the ground. However, that wasn't enough.
The two cyborgs engaged in another intense battle, their advanced technology clashing and sparks flying. But in the end, it was Cyborg's determination and heart that prevailed. He managed to defeat Grid, who had underestimated the power of human emotion.
CYBORG WINS!
"Not so perfect after all!"
Catwoman runs back from the tunnel and rejoins Cyborg, "Backup power's on"
"Let's get this party started!"
The two heroes then head for Brother Eye.
...
Cyborg approaches Brother Eye and inserts his connection spike into it. Tapping a few keys with his free hand, he works on cleaning the computer of Brainiac.
"No human - not even YOU - can gain control of my neural network" Brianiac tells him. Cyborg may be a genius, the alien can admit to that. However, it's humanity that's holding the hero back from his full power.
"Not trying to," Cyborg said while grunting as he re-programs, "Just teach Brother Eye to ignore you!"
Cyborg's mechanical eye starts to flash as he works hard to fight against Brainiac's functions. Brainiac starts to falter. However, this wasn't the last of the alien overlord.
"This minor success-vrt-will not-vrt-save you-vrt–" Brianiac tried to vow until the firewall was successfully created. Brother Eye ignores control by Brainiac's neural network and comes back online, working as normal as before.
"Brother Eye is online"
Catwoman smiles in delight, "Welcome back"
"Thank you, Ms. Kyle," Brother Eye said as it recognizes and greets Catwoman. However, the alarm sets off as it spots Cyborg, " Warning! Victor Stone has infiltrated the BatCave! Deploying countermeasures!" It was about to deploy missiles on Cyborg, but was stopped by Catwoman.
"Defense system override. Authorization LK-4D4!"
"System administrator Selina Kyle. Retinal verification required," It scans Catwoman's eye, then retracts rocket launcher, "Identity confirmed Standing down." Cyborg retracts his cannon arm once Brother Eye stands down.
"Brother Eye, bring geo-sync comms online" Catwoman orders, which Brother Eye does so and restores communications with Batman and all the superheroes, "Bruce, the comms are yours"
Gotham City
Batman is flying over Gotham in the Batwing, while he receives Catwoman's message, "Copy. Brother Eye, broadcast on the old Justice League band."
"Broadcasting" Brother Eye does so and connects all the members of Justice League in conference communication.
Batman then speaks through the communications, "We're back online everyone. We have one hour to evacuate the civilians before we engage Brainiac and the fleet."
The Dark Knight flies off to start the evacuation of Gotham.
Phew! That was fun! Hey, everyone! Sorry that I took so long! Writing this one was a pain in the butt! The reason why is that I decided to make the fighting scenes longer and better. I also added some bonuses fights for them! Can't wait to write some more!
Now, question! I know understand that Wonder Woman's chapter goes next. However, after her chapter, who do y'all want me to go fight her first in his/her chapter? Shazam? Or Supergirl? I'm still going to make Shazam's level, of course! I'm just asking so I can get this better. I also added some references from the Shazam movies! See if you guys can find them?
Also, This story, along with the other stories, will be on hold because I'm heading back to work! I'm also going to be gone in the next few weeks due to going to a working-job vacation. Don't worry, I'll be right back to finish this story once I return!
