That was when Wonder Woman returned, her warrior spirit unyielding, marching across the open field like an avenging force. "What do you think you're DOING, Kara?!" she demanded, her voice booming with authority.

"Stopping you before you make a mistake!" Supergirl retorted, still kneeling beside Harley, the warmth of her vulnerability cracking against Wonder Woman's hard exterior.

"THAT lunatic DESERVES to die!" Wonder Woman shouted, the bitterness of years of battling villains (current, former, redeemed, etc) echoing in her tone.

"Maybe," Supergirl admitted, standing resolute, her fists clenched at her sides. "But she's defenseless. She's had NO trial! You told me Amazons fought with honor!"

SUPERGIRL VS WONDER WOMAN

Kara couldn't fathom why Diana was behaving with such heartless indifference, especially given her own indoctrination on Krypton. Wonder Woman's actions seemed utterly incongruous with the ideals of honor and justice she had always associated with the Amazons.

A sudden realization dawned on her, like a piece of a missing puzzle falling into place. Diana's recent imprisonment on Themyscira by her own Amazonian sisters began to make sense.

'There's only honor in victory,' Wonder Woman replied dismissively. 'Superman has loved me better than my own sisters could ever have!'

Kara's eyes narrowed. 'How dare you speak about my cousin that way! He'd be sickened by you, just as I am!'

Diana's patience snapped. She had had enough of Supergirl's defiance. With lightning speed, she bashed Supergirl with her shield and kicked her in the chest.

Supergirl refused to be subdued. She blasted Diana's shield away with her heat vision and seized her by the neck. Soaring into the sky, she hurled Wonder Woman towards the ground.

Undeterred, Wonder Woman flew back up and punched Supergirl with such force that she sent her tumbling through the air. Diana grabbed Supergirl again and flew them down to the ground, using her as a battering ram against a bronze statue of Superman.

As Wonder Woman prepared to deliver the final blow, Supergirl summoned her last ounce of strength. She blocked the punch and kicked Diana away. Rising to her feet, she confronted her adversary once more.

'You're a killer,' Supergirl hissed. 'You're not the Wonder Woman I once knew.'

Diana's eyes flashed with anger. 'You will learn your place, child!' she snarled.

'I trusted you to teach me,' Kara uttered, her voice trembling with disbelief. 'You promised me friendship, but now I see your true nature.'

Diana's lips curled into a cold smile. 'You still have much to learn down here, child.'

'Like how to lie?' Kara retorted, her voice laced with contempt. 'To manipulate and deceive those you claim to protect?'

'To eradicate those who deserve to die,' Wonder Woman replied, her tone unwavering.

Kara's patience snapped. She had witnessed Diana's ruthless methods firsthand, and she could no longer stomach her hypocrisy. 'I thought you were my friend, Diana,' she said, her voice choked with emotion. 'But now I see maybe your own mother locked you up for a GOOD reason!'

Diana's eyes narrowed, and her expression hardened. 'You dare to insult me, child? You know nothing of my past or the sacrifices I have made.'

'I know enough to see that you are not the hero you pretend to be,' Kara spat. 'You are a murderer, and I will not be a part of your lies any longer.'

The battle raged on, each blow a testament to their shattered bond. In the end, it was Supergirl who stood victorious. She had defeated Wonder Woman and prevented an act of injustice.

SUPERGIRL WINS!

"I trusted you, Diana!" Supergirl spoke out of righteous anger.

The young blonde then turned around flew to Harley before picking her up, "You're gonna be okay."

Kara flies off with Harley which makes Diana dissatisfied. In her mind, Kara betrayed the Regime and her family... Diana grew angry for that and was about to attack once more till Diana was hit from behind...by Shazam.

'Don't worry, I'll get you to a doctor,' Supergirl said, her voice a soothing balm. 'Kal and I can protect you.'

The woman looked up at her, her eyes wide with fear. 'Superman...?' she whispered, her voice barely a breath.

Harley Quinn couldn't believe her ears. Superman? Here, in Metropolis? She had heard rumors, of course, but she had never thought she would actually meet the Man of Steel.

'Hehehe... Oh, Blondie, you're funny...' Harley chuckled weakly.

On one hand, Harley was astounded. How could Supergirl be so oblivious? Did she honestly not know who she was? Harley felt a pang of pity, wondering how Supergirl would react if she knew the truth.

On the other hand, Harley couldn't help but feel amused. The thought of Supergirl, the symbol of hope and justice, being completely unaware of her own notoriety was simply hilarious.

As Supergirl flew away from the smoldering buildings, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to Harley's words. What did she mean by 'Superman'? And why had she reacted so strangely when Supergirl had mentioned him?

The Fortress of Solitude

Back at the Fortress of Solitude, it was uneventful... At first.

Superman was angered to find storage equipment and elevator platforms at his old base of operations – evidently, people had been trying to pick apart everything from the Fortress for safekeeping or for research. He would put a stop to that once the threat of Brainiac was over.

But he had other matters on his mind – his powers were restored...MOSTLY.

He flew down from the Artic sky towards Black Adam, Damian Wayne/Red-Wing and Blackfire as he was ready to take on Brainiac. But he needed more than brute force and meandering mind games to finally rid the universe of the alien overlord, and he knew it.

Breathing in and out heavily, it felt relieving to be HIM again.

He then turned to Damian, "Did you find anything?"

"I analyzed the Kryptonian data like you asked," Damian Wayne aka Red Nightwing or Red-Wing tells him, "You didn't miss anything – they just didn't have an answer for Brainiac" Damian was still playing the villain card as he was waiting for the right moment to leave this place and tell Cyborg of what he has discovered.

Anyways, Superman was very visibly frustrated with his response, "There has to be something. A blind spot, a weakness. Brute force won't be enough."

While Superman was worrying about how they would take down Brainiac, Black Adam was getting worried about his country.

"If your powers are restored, I should leave for Kahndaq -make sure its defenses are prepared."

"Brainiac hasn't attacked it yet?" Superman asked.

"The Rock of Eternity's magic hides Kahndaq from prying eyes, even Brainiac's - But I don't expect him to be fooled forever."

"Hey, Superman, can I use the teleporter so I could get to Gotham City?" Damian asked in a sad tone, "I... I want to see Grayson and the others..."

"Of course you can, Damian," Superman spoke as he and the other regime members present watch Damian enter the teleporter.

"Hmmmm... That's... Odd..." Blackfire comments before looking around, "Where's Lady Arkham?"

Before Superman could say anything to Blackfire or even question of what she meant, another cape flocking in the wind caught their attention as Supergirl flew into the Fortress after she delivered Harley to the medic wing as promised.

"Kal, we need to talk" Supergirl spoke in an urgent tone.

"Give me a minute, both of you" Superman told Blackfire and Black Adam.

Hearing his request, Black Adam and Blackfire obliged and walked away while Superman levitated back down the ground. Kara was happy to finally make her concerns known and to get her cousin alone.

"Blackfire told me what happened. Is Diana all right? Are you ok?" Superman asked out of genuine concern.

"Yeah. Diana's fine. We ran into a lot of trouble but..." She has to collect her breath before dropping her bombshell, "We barely made it…..and—and then, she was going to kill Harley. She didn't have any look or sense of remorse come over her. I-I never saw her so...cold blooded."

"Yes... it's unfortunate..." Superman spoke before getting cut off.

"I know! What was she thinking?!"

She found herself relieved to see that Superman seemed to be in agreement with her; a faint glimmer of hope that perhaps not all was as it was made out to be since he was locked in that cell... But the response she got back wasn't what she was expecting to hear at all.

"It's unfortunate that Diana chose NOW to deal with Harley... More unfortunate that YOU got in the way."

"What?!" Kara was both confused and horrified to see her cousin agree with Diana's view. So Kal decided that he need to enlighten the younger Kryptonian on Harley's story.

"Harley Quinn gleefully helped Joker ruin me when they turned me into a weapon of mass destruction. He spent decades sickening Harley's mind beyond healing and repair."

Kara then suggested, "Then for Rao's sake, get her a doctor."

Superman disagreed, "What she has can't be cured. By the time she relapses, innocent people will die."

"Innocent people are dying now! She was...she was helping us!"

"Don't be naive, Kara. Harley's a criminal. It doesn't matter whether she was in the right mindset or not; she still cost me everything and her teaming up with Batman only makes it worse. My only mistake was not dealing with her sooner."

He briefly turns himself away, facing the opposite direction. He felt confident enough that he got his point across. But if only he knew how resistant and persistent Kara was. She was not backing down. A brief pause later and Kara starts to piece the puzzle together. What she saw didn't make her feel any better but she needed confirmation.

"Kal, I have to know," Supergirl starts, "Diana... Damian... Lady Arkham... Black Adam... They told me that... The Joker was executed... Is it true?"

She really was out of the loop with a lot more than it was perceived she thought. He was surprised to see that nobody didn't tell her who killed the Clown Prince of Crime. So again, he felt he had to explain himself.

"Were you the one who-?"

"You can't POSSIBLY understand what The Joker and Harley took from me!" Superman spoke in anger, "They stole the life me and Lois would've had together. Our child was going to be someone like me in the world: another Kryptonian! Someone who would've made me feel less alone! The Joker wouldn't stop with my family! I took ONE life to save MILLIONS!"

Kara wanted to believe him... but she couldn't, "But it WASN'T just one, Kal, was it? How many? HOW MANY?!"

No response was given since Clark didn't answer right away, and Supergirl was left frustrated, and angrily grabbed his shoulder and turned him to her eyes.

"TELL ME!"

Still no response.

Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, the Green Lanterns, Ganthet, Hercules, Renee Montoya, Hawkman, Batwoman, Lex Luthor, Shazam, and everyone else Superman killed during the time of the Regime came flooding back to his memory. Superman lamented to himself how many fellow heroes he killed in that five year time-span... but he didn't regret any of it. He felt remorse in a few cases, but not all of it. He wanted to bring peace, and they got in the way, so they had to dealt with. And if he had to kill any other heroes in the near future, so be it.

Kara, ashamed and dumbfounded, placed her hand on Superman's 'S' insignia, "Our symbol is supposed to mean "Hope"... Everywhere I go, people are AFRAID of this...and now I know why"

Dumbfounded and in shock, Kara found it hard to look back up at her younger cousin in a familiar light now; all the time spent over those past two years training her body, toughening her resolve, learning all these languages and laws and rules and principles of this world….

It couldn't have been all for nothing... Right? She just wanted her cousin back and this was who was left in his place? A tyrant? She couldn't have felt anymore disappointed.

And Kal caught notice. Sighing softly to himself, a faint glimmer of doubt peeks in as he shakes his head. If he could go back to the way things were in the past, when he resembled the status quo and when the League was family, he might've had his way... He might've stayed back to the hero he once was... But he knew he was too far gone. There was no coming back from the war, from the Regime... From any of this...

"Kara...I never wanted this. This is not how I wanted things, honest... It's just...when I held back then...and even NOW... They... Humans... They've been slaughtering each other for millennia. And I couldn't let it go on no more; I had to step in... I STOP that violence! Humans need strong leadership. The people I've grown to love and care for, we have to save them from themselves... whatever it takes."

"I can't believe what I'm hearing..." Supergirl spoke in shock, "Batman was right about you... You have changed!"

Superman then gotten angry upon hearing that name, "I don't want to hear any more about Batman. He turned against me when I needed him the most. Him, the lawmakers and those LAWBREAKERS with their endless debates have led our world to ruin! The Regime created peace and it will do so again!"

Nothing but pure bewilderment came over Kara as she could only stand there in silence and let all of this sink in. She could not believe the cousin she was supposed to protect was saying this; almost mirroring the exact quotes General Zod gave before Krypton's destruction and his imprisonment in the Phantom Zone.

At this rate, there was no convincing her otherwise. Only ONE question popped out of her mouth and boy, was it ever accurate.

"Who's...who's son are you: Jor-El's? Or...GENERAL ZOD'S?!" Supergirl then flew away in anger.

"KARA!" Superman called out her name, but she ignored him – she didn't want anything to do with him. Not now.

Kara had no idea what she was going to do. But as of right now, the only viable choice was to go to Batman – she wanted to know if he would tell her the truth. How things really went down. But there was opposition she would have to face first.

"Don't let Kara leave the fortress!"

Kara's path was suddenly blocked by Lady Arkham, who was released from the closet thanks to Blackfire, but she was not in the mood for anything of stopping her after the terrible truth she found out about her cousin.

"Hold on, Kara"

"A part of me understood why you killed your foster-parents, especially the torment they put you through... I understand that you lost your foster-brother who you genuinely loved ... I understand that you lost your biological family because of Thomas Wayne... But I'm starting to realize that maybe you're taking your vengeance too far!"

"Too far? TOO FAR?! You don't know how long I suffered, but you will! I'll show you what Thomas Wayne did to me, to my family!" Lady Arkham declares before spinning her sword and assuming her fighting stance, "Besides... Superman and Wonder Woman were more of a family to me than both sets of my families will ever be!"

SUPERGIRL VS LADY ARKHAM

With a battle cry, Lady Arkham charged at Supergirl. The two clashed in a fierce duel, their powers colliding with deafening force.

Supergirl fought with unwavering determination, her fists pounding against Lady Arkham's sword. But Lady Arkham's hatred fueled her every move, and she fought with the ferocity of a trapped animal.

Kara could easily crush her, but unlike Clark, she melted her sword with her heat vision and lunged at her, knocking her out.

SUPERGIRL WINS!

'Kal and Diana should have set a better example,' Supergirl remarked with a heavy heart, her voice laced with disappointment as she prepared to take flight.

But before she could soar away, a blast of energy slammed her back down to the ground. Blackfire, the Tamaranean princess, stood defiantly before her.

'Now, now, Kara...' Blackfire purred, her voice dripping with malice. 'Don't betray the people who found and raised you. And don't betray the girl who loves you.'

Supergirl's eyes widened in disgust. 'Love me?!' she exclaimed. 'You were never acting like a girlfriend to me! Even when you pretended to be one, it was all possessive and creepy!'

'Hey, be happy that a queen like me is even interested in a peasant like you!' Blackfire snarled. 'I was always the better fighter... I was more talented and experienced. But my parents loved my sister more because she was the kinder one. I've always hated her for it... Getting all the attention, getting the boy, getting everything! But now that the Regime will rise again after we deal with Brainiac, not only will I take my sister's boyfriend, I'll have myself a new girl-toy to use for my own pleasure.'

Kara's stomach turned at Blackfire's twisted words. She knew that the Tamaranean had always been jealous of her sister, Starfire, but she had never imagined that her jealousy would extend to her.

'You're sick,' Kara spat. 'You're a monster.'

'And you're weak,' Blackfire retorted. 'You're nothing but a pawn in the hands of the Kryptonian tyrant and the Amazonian warrior. But I'll show you what real strength is.'

SUPERGIRL VS BLACKFIRE

With a roar, Blackfire charged at Supergirl, her fists ablaze with starbolts. Kara met her attack with her own super strength, and the two combatants clashed in a blinding display of energy and fury.

The battle raged on, each woman determined to defeat the other. But as the fight intensified, Kara realized that Blackfire was unlike any opponent she had ever faced before. The Tamaranean's rage was unchecked, and her fighting style was both ruthless and unpredictable.

Kara knew that she had to find a way to end this fight quickly, but every time she tried to gain the upper hand, Blackfire would unleash a barrage of attacks that kept her on the defensive.

Finally, in a desperate move, Kara used her heat vision to blast Blackfire into a nearby building. The Tamaranean crashed through the wall with a deafening thud, and Kara flew over to check on her.

To her surprise, Blackfire was still alive, but she was badly injured. Kara hesitated for a moment, torn between her desire to defeat her enemy and her compassion for the fallen warrior.

'You can still turn back,' Kara said. 'You don't have to do this.'

Blackfire laughed bitterly. 'Turn back? To what? A life of obscurity and jealousy? I'd rather die than live like that.'

With a final, defiant glare, Blackfire unleashed a torrent of starbolts towards Supergirl. Kara raised her arms, her eyes ablaze with determination, and absorbed the attack with her impenetrable aura.

Seizing the opportunity, Kara unleashed her cold breath, freezing Blackfire in an instant. As the Tamaranean's body became encased in ice, Kara delivered a crushing uppercut, sending her sprawling to the ground.

SUPERGIRL WINS!

'Real strength is love... And love conquers hate and jealousy,' Kara whispered, her voice filled with both sadness and triumph.

With Blackfire defeated, Kara turned to leave, her heart heavy with the knowledge that her victory had come at a cost. As she was just about to fly away again...

"SHAZAM!"

She was zapped by a beam...by Black Adam

"You will submit, Kara Zor-El!" Adam declares as he blasts her again.

"S-SUBMIT... Y-YOURSELF!" Kara screams angrily at him before struggling to get up, "Ever since you found me...everything you and Diana told me...half truths! LIES! ONLY TO COVER UP YOUR OWN EVIL!"

Black Adam then walks up to the young blonde girl, "You see the world as Billy Batson does! Good and evil are not constants. Their meanings only defined by those with power!"

SUPERGIRL VS BLACK ADAM

Adam's eyes blazed with fury as he unleashed a torrent of energy bolts, but Kara effortlessly dodged each one. With lightning-fast reflexes, she lunged forward, aiming a palm strike at his face. However, Adam's grip was as unyielding as iron, and he seized her wrist, hurling her behind him like a ragdoll.

Kara landed hard on the crumbling floor, but her resolve remained unshaken. She unleashed a blinding heat ray, but Adam conjured a spell that deflected it effortlessly. Yet, the rage and fury within Kara burned brighter than ever. Summoning her indomitable will, she surged forward, her fists clenched.

As Adam was distracted, Supergirl darted behind him with blinding speed, delivering a devastating kick that sent him crashing into an icy wall. The wall cracked and shattered, but Adam rose to his feet, unyielding. He fixed Kara with a piercing glare, his voice booming with authority.

'Submit,' he commanded.

'NEVER!' Kara roared, her voice echoing through the desolate ruins.

She launched herself at Adam with renewed vigor, crashing through the floor beneath them. In a frenzied assault, she pummeled him relentlessly, her fists raining down upon his head with blinding speed. Tears of rage and determination streamed down her face as she fought with an unyielding fury.

Finally, Adam's resistance crumbled, and he collapsed unconscious. Supergirl stood over him, her body trembling with exhaustion.

SUPERGIRL WINS!

'Lucky for you,' she whispered, her voice barely audible, 'I find power in restraint.'

Kara's heart pounded in her chest as she hovered in the air, tears streaming down her face. Superman floated down towards her, his eyes filled with concern.

'Kara, please,' he pleaded. 'I know this is hard for you. Believe me, no one feels worse about it than I do... but Listen to me... With our powers, we can't hold back, or the ones we love... pay the price'

Kara's gaze met his, and she spat out the words, 'You betrayed your own family!'

Superman flinched at the accusation.

'Your parents put their last hopes in you! They sacrificed everything to save your life! And you repaid them by repeating Zod's crimes!'

Kal faced down, unable to meet her eyes. 'I'm not saying it would make them proud,' he said softly. 'But all I wanted was to insure no else would loose their families like I lost mine. The Joker and Harley would never stop killing! They just kept taking! and taking! AND TAKING! NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES BRUCE LOCKED THEM UP IN THAT ASYLUM HE ALWAYS ESCAPED! I was gonna name my son after my earth father. There was so much I wanted to do with him. On his birthdays and Graduation...and that NEVER got to happen...because of those FUCKING CLOWNS!'

Kara's anger subsided as she listened to his pain. She understood it too well. 'Kal, I'm sorry I wasn't here when I was suppose to,' she said. 'I'm sorry I wasn't here to help you save Lois and Jon. But they and Metropolis weren't your fault.'

Superman shook his head. 'YES IT WAS! I killed them Kara! The Joker and Harley drugged me! He made me see Lois as Doomsday himself! And it forced me to carry him to space... I didn't see it coming... I didn't see her...until it was too late. I watched her die floating in space and it killed our son and all of Metropolis! I promised myself...never again."

Kara's heart sank. She knew that pain all too well. The pain of losing loved ones. The pain of feeling responsible for their deaths.

'I understand,' she said quietly. 'I can't excuse what you did, but I understand why you did it.'

Superman looked up at her, a flicker of hope in his eyes. 'You do?'

Kara nodded. 'Yes. But you need to turn yourself in, Kal. You need to face justice for what you've done.'

That was when the hope in his eyes disappeared, "Y-You know full well that I can't do that" Superman tells her, "Not with Brainiac running amok"

'This isn't who we are, Kal,' she cried, her voice echoing through the desolate void. 'This isn't who YOU are. Our ancestors built the House of El on Hope... The House of El isn't ruled by fear!'

Superman's eyes flashed with a cold determination. 'HOPE isn't enough to save the world!' he retorted. 'Without me, they'd be dead!'

'They'd be free!' Supergirl exclaimed. 'But we can free them together! We can't just kill them; YOUR PARENTS WOULDN'T WANT THIS FOR YOU!'

Superman's expression twisted with a mix of anguish and defiance. 'WELL, WHAT IF ZOD WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG?!'

SUPERGIRL VS SUPERMAN

Kara's heart sank as she heard her cousin utter those damning words. Years of doubt and despair had transformed the once-noble Superman into a bitter and cynical tyrant.

'To hear you doubt those teachings,' she said, her voice trembling with pain. 'To claim Zod was right... it burns like fire.'

But beneath Superman's hardened exterior, a flicker of remorse remained. Kara knew her cousin was not beyond redemption, but he needed to be brought down a peg.

With a surge of determination, Supergirl unleashed a blinding blast of heat vision at Superman. He redirected the beam with his superhuman strength, but she followed up with a thunderous punch that sent him crashing into the shattered statue of Jor-El.

Kara's eyes fell upon the fallen head of Superman's father, a symbol of the ideals he had once held dear. A surge of pity washed over her, but she knew she had to fight for what was right.

As Superman rose to his feet, a snarl of frustration etched upon his face, Supergirl charged with renewed vigor. She dodged his freezing breath and delivered a crushing kick to his chest.

Superman staggered backward, his eyes blazing with anger. But Supergirl refused to give up. She fought with all her might, determined to break through the darkness that had consumed her cousin and restore the hope that had once defined the House of El.

'You dare doubt the teachings of our family?' Kara hissed, her voice a mix of fury and anguish. 'You claim Zod's crusade had merit? Have you forgotten the lives lost, the suffering inflicted?'

Kal's eyes flickered with a flicker of remorse, but it was quickly extinguished by a surge of anger. 'Zod was right,' he growled. 'Earth is a corrupt world, undeserving of our protection. We should have let it fall.'

As Superman unleashed a torrent of heat vision, Supergirl deftly deflected it with a blast of freezing breath. With equal force, she retaliated with a heat vision of her own, searing through his leg. Enraged, she surged towards her cousin, only to be frozen in place by his icy breath, granting him a moment's respite.

Breaking free, Supergirl found herself at a disadvantage. Superman seized her arm and hurled her face-first into the unforgiving earth. With newfound control, he unleashed a relentless barrage of punches and heat vision, exploiting Supergirl's inexperience and anger.

Despite her formidable powerset, Supergirl struggled to find her footing. Memories of her victories over Wonder Woman, Lady Arkham, Blackfire and Black Adam flickered in her mind, fueling her determination. Summoning her strength, she blocked one of Superman's punches and retaliated with a devastating blow to his face.

A swift kick to the gut and a roundhouse sent Superman tumbling through the air. Supergirl pounced on him, pummeling him with relentless fury. Finally, she seized his arm and crashed him into the ground with bone-jarring force.

SUPERGIRL WINS!

Superman lay motionless for a moment, allowing both cousins to catch their breath. Supergirl approached him slowly, her expression a mixture of triumph and concern. The battle had taken its toll on them both, but the bond between them remained unbreakable. After defeating him, she could've flew away... But she doesn't...

'I can still help you…,' she said, her voice barely a whisper. It was effectively pleading, somewhat in the bargaining phase, not willing to give up hope on Superman.

Kal slowly got up as Black Adam, Blackfire, and Lady Arkham surround the two Kryptonians. 'Think about all you've lost, Kara,' Superman said, his voice devoid of its usual warmth, replaced with an icy determination that sent shivers down her spine. 'What if you could've saved Krypton?'

Supergirl paused for a moment, remembering the memory of seeing her mother and father killed before her eyes before her rocket departed off the planet. She remembered how helpless she was – and how much she wished she had the powers she wielded now.

'I—I still think about it every day!' she cried, unable to hold back the tears any longer.

'Then stand with me,' Superman said, his voice softening slightly.

Suddenly, rumbling sounds and explosions could be heard in the distance with each undeniable boom, crash, scream, and warp ringing through Kal and Kara's ears. Supergirl was horrified as to what that meant. This shouldn't have been happening right now, but it was, and she didn't know what to make of it.

But she did know exactly what it was. And WHO it was.

'It's Brainiac,' she said, her voice trembling. 'He's extracting the cities early!'

'Then we fight back!' Black Adam declared. 'I must go to protect Kahndaq.'

'Go,' Superman said. 'We're heading to Metropolis.'

'What about her?' Lady Arkham asked, gesturing towards Supergirl.

'Yeah, goody-two-shoes is gonna betray her only cousin after everything is done and over with,' Blackfire sneered.

Superman turned towards his cousin, his eyes filled with both sorrow and determination. 'All that matters now is stopping Brainiac,' he said. 'But when this is over….'

'…..you need to make a choice,' he finished. 'You're either with me or against me.'

Kara couldn't help but feel heartbroken – the last thing she ever wanted was to be at odds with her cousin like this. But Superman was right – Brainiac was the top priority at the moment. Still, she couldn't resist the urge to cry.

Tears still ran from Kara's eyes as her cousin expected the same thing from as Diana did earlier. She could not go against what her parents and uncle taught her; part of her was even glad Jor and Laura weren't here to see their son like this. But another part made her wish they were here to talk to him out of this.
