Our heroes have finally arrived at Posidro City. Since they are, you can imagine that Davis is quite exited for his upcoming gym battle.

"Oh yeah! Posidro Gym, here I come!" Davis called out.

"Someone sure seems fired up for this." Terra said.

"Davis, I get you're excited about your gym battle, but do try to calm down." Cletus said. "How about we swing by the Pokemon Center or get something to eat first?"

"No way. We can do all of that after the gym battle. I'm pumped and ready to go!" Davis called as he was full of energy, but his stomach growling was telling him to do something else.

"That's not what your stomach is saying. You can't battle in a full stomach." Terra said. Davis was ready for his gym battle, but it might have to wait a little longer. What none of them knew was that something had their eyes set on them.

I want to be the very best

Like no one ever was

To catch them is my real test

To train them is my cause

(Pokemon!)

Every challenge along the way

With courage I will face

I will battle every day to claim my rightful place

(Yeah!)

Pokemon

Gotta catch'em all

Oh, so true

Our courage will pull us through

You teach me, I'll teach you

Pokémon

(Davis' voice): Blazing Thieves

Rather than going to a gym, they went to get something to eat. Wanting to get to the gym in a hurry, Davis went for something fast and quick.

"Can't we sit in a nice restaurant first?" Terra questioned as they were just at a local food stand.

"The sooner we eat, the sooner we can get to the gym." Davis said.

"Why do you want to get there in a hurry?" Terra questioned.

"Because we want to get that badge." Imperialdramon said. Terra didn't get it and wasn't sure she wanted to understand.

"Now, let's eat and get that badge!" Davis said as he got his hot dog and was about to take a bite, but something grabbed his dog and he bit his own hand instead. "Aww! What the heck?!" He wasn't the only one . The others got their food swiped by something as well.

"What was that?" Cletus questioned. They all looked and saw three Fleos.

"They're all Fleo!" Terra said. "They're the fire-type starter pokemon new trainers can choose from!"

"Fleo?" Davis questioned with him using his pokedex.

"Fleo, the Fire Cub Pokemon. A fire-type. Some think they can walk on two legs because their inner fire is real strong and creates an updraft."

"You can't just take food." Terra said.

"Fleo!" All three of them attacked as they used Ember, but Imperialdramon stood in the way and blocked the attacks. Once that was done, all three of the Fleo ran off with the food they swiped.

"Hey! Get back here! No one steals a man's food!" Davis called as he chased after them with Theo others following. "Slotter! Help me out! Get those Fleo with Water Gun!" Davis called as he released Slotter.

"Slotter!" Slotter started firing away with Water Gun. Slotter kept shooting water, but the Fleo were quick on their feet and kept avoiding them. They kept moving until they reached a manhole. They got it opened and dived into the sewers. Just before it closed, Slotter used Quick Attack and was able to catch it and tried to keep it from closing.

"Quick thinking, Slotter." Davis said as he helped Slotter and pushed it off. He looked own, but they were gone. "Darn. They slipped down there."

"That's odd. Why would fire-types dive down there?" Cletus said.

"What was the deal with those Fleo?" Terra questioned. Why would they just steal food like that?"

"Really hungry? I know you wouldn't want to get between me and chocolate." Imperialdramon said.

"Good to know." Terra said.

"I said it before, I say it again. No one gets between a man's food." Davis said. "Come on, Slotter. Let's get those troublemakers." Slotter agreed and jumped right on his shoulder with Davis climbing down.

"Davis, it's just a hot dog." Terra called, but Davis just kept going. "He can be so stubborn."

"That's Davis for you." Cletus said. "Anyway, we can't let him go alone. He could get lost down there."

"No way I'll be able to fit down there. It's too small." Imperialdramon said.

"Cletus, you go." Terra said. "I'll stay out with Imperialdramon in case those three make their way back." Cletus agreed to that with Cletus climbing down and going after Davis. Hopefully they can find those three Fleo without getting lost.

...

The Sewers

"Woo! It smells down here." Davis complained as he and Cletus had a look around the sewers for the Fleo.

"What did you expect? You dived down without really thinking once again." Cletus claimed.

"Slotter, keep an eye open for those Fleo or a way out if we get lost." Davis said. "Maybe dive into the water and swim on ahead for anything." Slotter was hesitant about that. It took a sniff and blew its tongue, clearly against that order.

"I don't blame you for that, Slotter." Cletus said. "Davis, we have to be careful. Fighting a fire-type down here, where there is possibly methane gas, could cause an explosion that would damage the city."

"So, why did they come down here? Are they aware of that?" Davis said as he brought up a good question.

...

Terra

Until they know more, Terra and Imperialdramon waited for the guys to come back. It was starting to get frustrating to wait for them.

"What's going on down there?" Terra questioned. "Shouldn't they be back by now?"

"You said it yourself that Davis can be pretty stubborn." Imperialdramon said. That was when Officer Jenny pulled up.

"Officer Jenny?" Terra asked.

"I'm here about a complaint. Some sort of fiasco on the streets?" Officer Jenny questioned.

"We didn't mean to cause trouble. It's just that three Fleo swiped our food earlier and my friend went after them." Terra claimed.

"Fleo? Not those three again." Officer Jenny said.

"You know of them?" Imperialdramon questioned.

"Yes. Those three have been doing that sort of thing a lot lately." Officer Jenny claimed. "They're a slippery bunch that we just can't seem to catch. They're a bit of a pain, but all they really steal is food."

"I hope they weren't abandoned." Imperialdramon said.

"I hope everything is okay." Terra said with her hoping they be back soon.

...

The Sewers

"Davis, there's no sign of them. They would have eaten the food by now." Cletus said as he was thinking this is a waste of time. "Shouldn't we try to find a way out?"

"I guess you're right." Davis said as he was beginning to think this is a waste himself. They were ready to get out of there until Slotter heard something. Slotter jumped off his shoulder and took off. "Slotter? Where are you going?" The two of them followed after Slotter to see where it was going. They all looked around the corner and spotted the Fleo from before. Rather than eating the food, they were trying to feed another pokemon.

"Looks like we finally found them." Cletus said.

"Who is the other pokemon?" Davis questioned.

"I think it's called a Thievul." Cletus said. Davis took out his pokedex and tried to learn more about it.

"Thievul, the Fox Pokemon. A dark-type, and the evolve form of Nickit. Thievul's body and claws aid in stealing. Boltund are their natural enemies."

"Hold on. Take a closer look at that Thievul." Cletus said. They took a closer look and saw it appeared to be in bad shape. The Fleo are trying to feed it, but Thievul wasn't eating anything. It was like little kids trying to help their sick parent, they didn't really know what to do.

"That Thievul does look sick." Davis said.

"I get it now. The Fleo must have stole food to help Thievul." Cletus said. "If it really is sick, we need to get it out of here. This is no place for it." Davis couldn't just watch this. He went right in over to see what he can do. As he made his way over, the Fleo readied themselves to attack.

"Easy, Fleo. We're not here because we're mad. It looks like your buddy could use some help." Davis said. "Let my friend take a look at Thievul. We might be able to help." Cletus walked over to try and help, but the Fleo were still on guard.

"Its okay. We just want to help." Cletus said. He took a look, but the Fleo still looked ready to attack. "How are you feeling, Thievul?"

"Thievul..." It didn't sound good at all. Cletus did a quick check to try and find the problem.

"What do you think, Cletus?" Davis questioned.

"It doesn't look good. We need to get Thievul proper medical attention." Cletus said. He reached to lift it...

"Fleo!" All three of the Fleo jumped in the way and kept Cletus from doing anything.

"Please calm down. We're only trying to help." Cletus said, but the Fleo don't seem to trust them.

"It's obvious to care deeply for Thievul, so we're trying to help. You have to rust is or else Thievul's condition is only going to get worse." Davis said. The Fleo certainly don't want that. It would seem that they really don't have much of a choice on this for Thievul's sake. That's why they moved out of the way so they could do their thing. "That's more like it. Cletus, get Thievul on my back."

...

Terra

Terra and Imperialdramon continued to wait and hear something from the others. Thinking they've been gone for so long, they were getting really worried now. Just then, the manhole opened up and saw them climbing out.

"You're back!" Terra said as she was glad to see them, but then saw Davis came out with Thievul with the three Fleo coming out.

"Where did the fox come from?" Imperialdramon questioned.

"No time to explain. We need to get it to the Pokemon Center." Davis said as he started running with all of the others following.

...

The Pokemon Center

they managed to make it all the way to the Pokemon Center. Once they got there, they gave Thievul to Nurse Joy and she and Sylphly got straight to work. As they were working, Davis and the others all waited to hear what is going to happen to Thievul. The ones most worried were the Fleo.

"Poor things." Terra said as she felt so bad for the three. "They were stealing food to help Thievul. Thievul must have been the one that taught them how to steal and be sneaky."

"Those three are like little children. Thievul must be the closest thing to a parent to them." Imperialdramon said.

"It makes a lot of sense, but being so young makes it hard for them to know what to do to help Thievul feel better." Cletus claimed.

"No worries. Nurse Joy will have everything under control." Davis said as he was sure of it.

...

The Next Day

It might have taken some time, and it was already the next day, but it was all done now.

"I have good news. Thievul is all better now." Nurse Joy said with her showing Thievul.

"Thievul!" All of them were glad to see Thievul was all better now, especially the Fleo as they gathered around it like a bunch of happy little kids.

"That's great that Thievul is doing all better." Terra said. "But now what? The Fleo have been causing problems around here for a while."

"Terra has a point. Despite their reasons, the he Fleo were still stealing." Cletus said. "Now that Thievul is doing better, they shouldn't really steal anymore."

"You don't have to worry about that." Nurse Joy assured. "I've been wanting to get these three in here to teach them good manners. Thievul is more than welcomed to stay as well. Technically, it's not at one-hundred percent. Having Thievul stay here would be in its best interest, and that means the Fleo can stay."

"That's great, isn't it?" Davis said. All the Fleo certainly did. Thievul is back to normal and they have a new home for them. "Great for you. Now, I can get ready for my gym battle."

After helping out a bunch of thieving Fleo, managed to make four troubling pokemon very happy. Now, Davis' battle for his second badge is soon underway, so don't miss it.
