Three and a half Months until the Chunin Exams

Sealing was hard, the most difficult part of being a ninja no matter how smart Mika thought he was. Hinata was banned from learning it, due to Clan laws, but he was not and so he vowed to learn it for her. It was easy to convince Yugao he was learning it for himself. "The power of Seals made the Second and Fourth super heroes among Ninja. Why would I ignore that?"

She laughed and said. "Just be careful, and start with the basics."

From that moment on, whenever he rested or recovered, he would work on sealing on some level. Studying the craft, working on his caligraphy. Soon, within about a week he could create explosive tags. Very weak ones mind you, but explosive tags none the less. It was actually a lot of fun, he relished in the challenge they presented.

Every day he worked out with Hinata in the morning, then either sparred with Hinata or had a meal with her, which led to her explosive dedication and development in skill. Using a wood blade against her, he worked on her evasion and stamina. She had incredible finesse naturally, so this was actually rather easy for her. She just needed confidence, and the means to focus herself.

She started to wear weights to bolster her speed and strength, which showed in her right hooks. She could hit very, very hard he learned. Her kicks were scary, and she knew it. With the added muscle, she was even worse. Mixing his style into hers, Hinata proved to be something far greater. With new purpose she was growing at a frightening rate. Even Yugao admitted she was something special.

Hinata started to pick up swordplay as well, using her kunais to block and fence with his wood blade for several minutes. She soon got her own tanto, but never took it home in case it was removed from her care by her father.

She learned to use the Body Flicker from Mika, and he worked on her Genjutsu through his own skill during many spars.

Hinata taught Mika a great deal as well. Less varied but still potent.

Her skill with chakra control allowed her to advise him in how to moderate his powers better, allowing him to master the first stage of the Mystic Palm by his first month. His taijutsu explosively evolved, especially his evasion, as he learned to read and fight against a targeted fighter like a Hyuuga.

All felt well and then Mika was summoned to the Mission's office, with Hinata's team.

They both smiled at each other, turning to the Hokage as he told them. "We have a mission for your teams. A C rank to Tobirama's Grotto. A simple delivery of Herbs, that is all."

Kiba, who had never liked Mika, sneered at him. "What is he doing here?"

Hinata was in his face, glowering back. "Mika is our commrade, you will respect him Kiba." She stood tall, her body radiating power. "Mika is my friend, he has been helping me more than anyone. He is a skill medic and beyond useful."

The Hokage nodded. "Mika is a skilled Ninja, an apprentice to Yugao who herself is a skilled Kunoichi. One of our best. The boy will not impede your mission, Kiba."

"Tch, fine."

Kurenai sighed. "Kiba, do not act like that again, or there will be consequences... now, onto the mission, it is a reguar mission the village has each month. Twice in the growing seasons. It is a vital mission, despite it's regularity. Now, go and prepare yourselves, I expect you at the Gates in twenty minutes."

Mika and Hinata vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving Kiba to say. " When could she do that?"

"Mika taught her." Kurenai said. "Now, go, ready get ready."
