"You know, this is a bit mad really" Babs was shut in the office. Once Heck's office, now Taddy's office. Well… Berty's office too I guess. Sheila seemed OK with the deal but who can tell with a lizard girlie. She didn't have much to say at all. Shy, not like Berty and his energetic waving and stuff.
Babs decided she is shy, maybe once the relationship settled they will become more animated and the storm raging outside didn't help much either. What a shame, the fireworks are runed. Still it means they can be saved for something more exciting. Maybe easter or something, she made a mental note to talk to Papa about that. He would know best there, Papa is great at blowing things up ya know. Him and Skidmark.
The show was a hit and things were still so scary there, Babs could not believe how far things had gone there, her face on billboards for the love of lizards.
"You know my babies, one day when I am all grown up and have my wifie and everything sorted we will live in a big house where you will not live in a tank like this. One day you will have your own bedroom all to yourself. I hope you have babies … I would like babies. I know I probably won't be as good as Taddy but I know I am a good being a mama and I have learnt stuff and think I would like a baby with Bethy. You would be great as protectors and stuff."
"Hey there darling" John said as he entered and closed the door behind him, knowing that Babs did not share the lizards much. Not while they are 'bonding' as she put it.
"Papa, do you think the rain will wash us all away?" she asked as she leaned against him.
"No, we have strong roots, we are connected to this place and it would take more than a tornado or tidal wave to wash us off this patch of land" John said hoping he sounded strong and knowledgeable.
Apparently he made the right choice as she cuddled into him and sighed softly.
Safe.
A little rain can't hurt.
