Chapter 8.
Shizune and Kimimaro went to the nearest town and phoned the Third Hokage directly through his office number.
"You say you found two bloodline users in Wave?."
"Yes Sarutobi-San. Their names are Haku Yuki and Kimimaro Kaguya. I'll let the latter explain when he returns with Tsunade and Naruto, but the latter can talk to you now."
The Raven-haired medic handed the pay phone to the bone user and he answered, "Hello Hokage-sama."
"Hello Mr. Kaguya. Tell me about yourself," The Hokage said back. Kimimaro repeated the same spiel he'd given to Tsunade and her leaf companions. He also talked about a couple of missions he and his clan went on.
"Sorry to here about your clan treating you so badly son. I assure you that Tsunade, Shizune, and Naruto will be much better family members," Sarutobi assured Kaguya.
"I'm sure they will my lord," Kimimaro said with a rare smile. Then Shizune said, "When we return to Konoha, you should place my new little bro with the ANBU. Danzo undoubtedly has his dogs following us, and they've seen what him and Haku can do. It's best that there not in the same spot either, so Haku will stay with us."
"Very prudent suggestion Shizune-san. Alright, I'll have Yugao Uzuki take him to ANBU HQ. Also, I want him to tell ANBU about everything he and his clan did."
Shizune relayed the message to her diminutive but powerful companion, and he replied, "Whatever the Hokage desires I will do."
She nodded and then said to Hiruzen, "He'll also need to be placed into the academy sir. Same for Haku."
"Indeed. I'll take care of that. Get back here as soon as possible you two," the Sandaime Hokage instructed. He then hung up, and Shizune took the Kaguya boy to a ninja store. She purchased soldier pills that would keep both of them full for three days without eating or sleeping. The two of them spent the rest of the day and the rest of the following night jumoing through the trees towards Konoha. By sunrise they could see its gates clearly. Once they were within the Leaf's walls, a female ninja with purple hair dropped down in front of them.
"Kimimaro Kaguya?" the kunoichi inquired.
"Yes that's me," he responded bowing his head.
"Come with me please," she continued grabbing his shoulder an shunshining away. Shizune walked to the Hokage tower.

Ibiki listened to Kimimaro's story with a furious expression. Anko, Yugao, and several other interrogators were also present in the room.
"For a clan to lock up one of their own members, just because they had a powerful, rare ability, and to raise them as an instrument of bloodshed, is unforgivable and sinful. Even for the warmongering Kaguya clan."
The scarred Jonin's voice was tranquilly furious. Now he understood why the boy had spoken to him in such a formal manner, and bowed to him respectfully as well.
"Would you mind showing me your bone-bending ability Kaguya-kun?"
"No i wouldn't, Ibiki-san."
Kimimaro brought his wrists up and made two nine-inch thick spears protrude from them.
"That's cool!" Anko remarked.
"Can you harden your bones as well Kimimaro, to stop from being crushed?" Yugao asked Kimimaro. He nodded and said, "Indeed I can Ms. Yugao. Would like a demonstration, like me jumping off the Hokage Tower?"
"That won't be necessary," Ibiki quickly interjected, more than a little disturbed at the child's nonchalant tone when discussing something of that nature.
"What will be necessary is for you to stay here in ANBU interrogation HQ. Until Tsunade gets back at least."
"Because of Danzo Shimura? Shizune-neechan told me about him Ibiki-san. Said he was willing to do whatever it took to make Konoha not only strong and safe but supreme, and that it wouldn't be beyond him to try to steal my bloodline abilities."
"No it wouldn't," a male interrogator stated.
"Danzo's a rat bastard! There's a reason he's called the Shinobi no Yami (ninja of darkness)."
"I'd like to join ANBU someday," Kimimaro said suddenly, getting everyone's attention.
"It's the right environment for me. I'm used to structure and order and hierarchy. And I have no problem carrying out dangerous missions or killing people."
"I'm sure you don't son, but understand, we won't use you as a tool. You'll be our teammate, and teammates look out for each other. If you do join us, we'll expect you to view and treat us the same way, okay?" Ibiki asked, grabbing the silver haired boy's hand with a look of sympathy. Kimimaro nodded and bowed his head saying, "As you wish, I shall do, Morino-san."
Ibiki frowned in frustration, knowing it would take a while to convince this boy stop thinking in terms of receiving and following orders.

"So Haku Fuyu can manipulate water in any manner, vaporizing, condensing, and freezing? That's very impressive and a useful ability," Hiruzen said after Shizune explained to him about the other orphaned child they found whiled standing in front of his desk.
"Too bad everyone didn't view it that way," Tsunade's assistant said sadly.
"Even though he's not here, I think I can guess what happened. I've heard of the bloodline purges In the land of water. His parents were probably killed by a bigoted mob," Sarutobi replied.
"It's a lot worse than that sir, as Haku will tell you," the raven haired medic said gravely.

"Welcome Lady Tsunade to Kiri," Yagura, the fourth Mizukage said poltiely. Naruto and Haku were shocked at his youthful appearance and size that matched a twelve year old. Reading their expressions, Yagura explained, "While I may look and sound like a child, I'm actually a fully grown adult. It's genetic."
"If you were still a child and Mizukage already, that'd be very impressive my lord," Haku said before bowing and giving his name.
"Yeah, you'd be total badass!" Naruto added before bowing as well and also identifying himself. Yagura smiled knowingly and said, "I've heard of you Naruto. You and I are unique in the same way."
Naruto and Haku audibly gasped, realizing exactly he was saying.
"Yagura is the jinchurikki of the Three-Tails, a turtle crab chimera called Isobu," Tsunade explained. Yagura said that all Jinchurikki were welcome in his village. He ruffled the boy's hair making him blush.
"I'm very glad your here too lady Tsunade. 12 dozen people, each, were injured or killed by those Kaguya barbarians. That clan was nothing to laugh it. We were fortunate that they were vastly outnumbered by our own shinobi forces, or many more would have died or been injured. Your medical expertise will be invaluable."
"I'm glad to be of service my lord," the blonde-haired Sanin said while bowing reverently.
Yagura then picked up a radio and spoke into it, "Mei Terumi come to my office. I want you to be Lady Tsunade's guide through our village."
About ten minutes later, a woman with auburn hair, green eyes, a small pony tail, and wearing a blue dress walked into the room. Haku and Naruto stared at her in awe and said together, "She's gorgeous!"
Mei laughed, walked forward, ruffled their both of their hair, and said, "Both of you are really cute too," making them duck their heads and blush, then she kissed their foreheads. Their faces only became redder.
"It's a very great pleasure to meet you lady Tsunade, your beauty rivals mine," Mei complimented the blonde medic, shaking her hand. Tsunade gave the woman her thanks, and then they all left the mizukage office. At the bottom of the mizukage Tower's stairs were two make shinobi, one short, one tall, one with silver hair and matching shirt and camoflague pants, the other with light blue hair, an eye patch, and a green robe. One was an 11 year old boy, the other on his thirties.
"These two are Ao and Chojuro, my best friends. All of us are Jonin," Terumi said, introducing them. Both of them bowed reverently, and Tsunade complimented Chojuro for becoming Jonin at such a young age. He blushed and thanked her.
"I won't ask who these boys are, milady. I know some secrets are important. But i hope we can develop trust, and I can get to know more about these young men," Terumi said while looking at the two little boys with one the three Sanin.
"I appreciate that very much Terumi-san ," Tsunade said. For the rest of the day, the ninja party walked around the village, with Tsuande healing people. Haku made sure not to reveal his bloodline as instructed. Naruto and his surrogate brother watched their blonde foster mother work, so as to have crucial medical knowledge. Once the sun had set, Tsunade and her boys checked into hotel, while Ao, Chojuro, and Mei took shifts guarding them. Haku and Naruto started to have bad dreams about their pasts snd whimper in their sleep. This alerted Tsunade and Mei who was sleeping currently. Terumi woke up Uzumaki and Fuyu.
"Nightmares about your past boys?!" Mei asked gently. Both boys sadly nodded.
"When you both are ready to talk, you can write to me, or call me, or come to see me anytime sweetie pies."
"Thank you very Mei-sensei," Naruto said thankfully.
"I appreciate that Terumi san," Haku added.
"Same goes with us, right Choujuro?"
"Yes Ao."
Both of Mei's comrades spoke through the closed door.

After two more days, Tsunade and her boys left Mizu. Yagura insisted on personally escorting them back, leaving Ao, Mei, and Chojuro to run the village in his stead. Yagura also sent a messenger pigeon to Konoha. Mizu ANBU shadowed them. When he reached the Leaf with his guests, The Third was waiting for him. Both men shook hands and called each other by name.
"It was a pleasure to have Lady Tsunade, and young Naruto in my village sir. The three of them can visit anytime, Hokage-sama."
"I appreciate your hospitality Mizukage-sama. Have a safe trip back."
Yagura nodded and walked away. Sarutobi bent down to Haku's level and said, "You must be young Haku Fuyu. Glad to finally see you in the flesh. Walk and talk with me my boy."
Haku bowed respectfully and said, "As you wish Sarutobi-sama. It's a pleasure to finally meet you too."
"Naruto, why don't you get Sakura, Hinata, and Sasuke and tell them to meet your two new brothers," Shizune suggested.
"Is Kimimaro still in ANBU HQ sensei?" Tsunade interjected. Sarutobi answered in the affirmative, and Naruto said, "Ill tell them to come their. Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
14 clones materialized, and Naruto sent them off to find his comrades.

"Naruto, it's good to see you again, my brother," Kimimaro said with a bow.
"You don't have to bow to me Kimimaro, we're family," Naruto said with a warm smile. Looking at Ibiki, Anko, and Yugao, the whiskered blond asked, "They been treating you well here?"
"They're cautious, which is wise due to my background. But they treat me like a human and not a weapon, unlike my clan," Kimimaro responded.
"Tsunade and Shizune are back at the Kage residence. I'm going to introduce you to my four friends Hinata, Sakura, Sasuke, and Ino. The three of them are coming here now. They helped me find out my secret, and stuck by me afterwards."
"They sound loyal and friendly. I'd love to meet them!"
About an hour later, four familiar faces showed up at and were let into the ANBU interrogation and torture building. A weasel-faced ninja led them to the bedroom where Naruto and Kimimaro were waiting. As soon as they beheld the silver-haired, pony-tailed boy with two red dots on his forehead, Sakura and Ino squealed, folded their hands together, and said, "He's so cute/such a hottie!" at the same time. Both girls had hearts in their eyes. Hinata simply smiled at Kimimaro and said, "Hello Kimimaro, I'm Hinata." In the same emotionless tone and keeping his neutral facial expression, Kimimaro said, " Hello Hinata, I'm Kimimaro. And thank you for the compliment, Ms. Haruno and Ms. Yamanaka. The two of you are quite radiant as well. It's a pleasure to to make your acquaintance."
The two girls only squealed harder.
"He's so polite!" Sakura noted.
"And a smooth talker!" Ino added.
"Do you two think he's cuter than me?" Sasuke asked with a slick tone of voice and grin to match. Ino and Sakura expressions fell, the two of them shocked at being put on the spot. They hesitated, not wanting to offend either the raven-haired boy or Naruto's new brother.
"Relax you two, I'm just kidding," Sasuke reassured them. Changing the subject, Sakura apologized to Kimimaro for being enslaved by his own flesh and blood, with Ino saying fiercely that "those bastards" deserved to be wiped out. Sasuke remarked that any friend of Naruto's was a friend of his, and that he had the bone using orphan's back.
"Thank you Uchiha-san."
"Call me Sasuke, Kaguya."
Naruto then said he and Kimimaro had to return to the Kage residence to meet their big sisters. Sakura and Ino dreamily said, "Bye Kimimaro!" while Sasuke said he'd see the two tomorrow in class.

Once in the bedroom Naruto shared with Tsunade, Kimimaro was hugged by her, and he reciprocated her embrace. Tsunade had hugged her apprentice Shizune upon returning as well.
"It's nice to see you again, Tsunade-sensei ."
"Same here grandson."
Naruto rushed up to his black-haired purple-robed sister and said, "I missed you Shizune-neechan."
"Me too Naruto-kun" Shizune said, nuzzling his face.
"I want to join ANBU," the Kaguya boy suddenly said, making all eyes turn on him.
"I like and am used to the rigid command structure and military environment. Even though I know my biological family using me as a tool was wrong. Ibiki and Anko educated me on how stressful and violent such a career is. From what I see, its no worse than my old life."
His family members just looked at him, unsure of how to respond.

"Class, we have two new students today, they were both brought back by Naruto, Tsunade, and Shizune, and like him they're both orphans," Iruka -sensei said while standing with Haku and Kimimaro. He'd met the two early that morning and walked them to school, asking them about their pasts and abilities. They said they would tell him and the whole class together.
"Introduce yourselves you two."
"Hello, everybody my name is Kimimaro Kaguya, last member of the Kaguya clan. I look forward to studying with you."
"And I'm Haku Fuyu, a member of the Yuki clan. I may look like a girl, but I assure you I'm a boy. I hope I can enjoy my time here with all of you."
Haku smiled at his new classmates, while Kimimaro bowed with sophistication. Before either of them or Iruka spoke, every female in the classroom blushed and/or had hearts in the eyes and clasped their hands together as they showed up, upon beholding the Kaguya and Fuyu boys. The two foreign orphans were the pinnacle of beauty. 'So cute!' all of them thought, some of them out loud. The boys blushed at Haku's beauty as well. A boy with a black pony-tail remarked, "You don't just look like a girl, you sound like one too. Not that I'm complaining. Like the girls said, you look really cute."
Haku thanked the boy with a bright smile, making him blush even more. The girls began waving frantically at the two newcomers, shouting, "Sit by me!/No Me!/Me!"
"Do you have any paper Iruka-sensei?" Haku asked.
"I want to draw lots. Me and Kimimaro-kun will sit next to the girl with the biggest piece."
Iruka said that he did, then reached into his desk and pulled out two pages of blank white paper. The water-user and bone-user quickly tore up their paper and Kimimaro said, "Take your pick, young ladies."
In seconds, their hand were empty, the paper pilfered by enthusiastic girls. Soon two of them squealed in delight, while the rest of them groaned in disappointment. The two lucky females escorted Haku and Kimimaro to their seats, by hand and arm respectively. 'Finally, theyre leaving me alone,' Sasuke thought.

When lunchtime came, the Kaguya and Fuyu boys were mobbed by the girls, who asked them multiple questions, notably about their abilities and pasts. Haku went first, pulling several water spheres out of thin air and then freezing them. The girls gasped in amazement. Kimimaro followed suit, removing his brown silk shirt and making the girls turn tomato red, before making curved bone spikes protrude from his chest back and shoulders. The girls had a combination of fascination and repulsion on their faces. "Doesn't that hurt?" one asked. Kimimaro said bluntly, "No."
Haku sighed as he began to retell his tragic story, a profound look of sadness on his face. Kimimaro told his afterwards with no emtion whatsoever. The girls were nearly in tears, and the one's they'd been sitting next to hugged them. "How could someone lock up an innocent child and use them as a weapon?!" Kimimaro's chosen female said.
"You poor thing!," Haku's girl said.
Both boys reciprocated their hugs and thanked the young women for their sympathy.
