Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 59
Root base: With Naruto and Gaara
Naruto and Gaara were both running through the halls of the root base as pandemonium ensued around them; as they ran down a hall a group of 3 root chunin was charging towards them to cut them off. Naruto took out one of his small fans and opened it charging with with wind chakra before firing it to the root ninja ahead of him; Naruto launched a single wind blade horizontally towards the oncoming ninja.
One of the ninja ducked down just in time as the wind blade went over his head, although his two comrades were not so lucky as they were bisected by the wind jutsu. The ninja got back to his feet and began to go through hand signs when Gaara attacked.
Gaara launched a tendril of sand towards the ninja hitting him dead on because the narrow hallway made dodging impossible; Gaara's sand encased the ninja and Gaara quickly made a fist.
"Sand coffin" Gaara shouted as he crushed the chunin with his sand giving him a quick painless death; Gaara recalled his sand and spoke "this is terrible, isn't it Naruto?"
"Yeah it is" Naruto said as they ran by the dead bodies "all this death… for what; a village that treats their ninja like garbage"; Naruto scoffed as he continued to run. "If Danzo doesn't die here we should put him on trial" Naruto said with a scowl "let that old bastard rot in a jail cell; that's what Ji-ji would want".
"Focus on the task at hand Naruto" Gaara said as they turned another corner "we must eliminate their leadership, it is now or never; we may never get another chance at this".
"Trust me Gaara, I'm focused" Naruto said "Danzo and Shikamaru won't leave this place alive". Naruto then had thoughts about his friends and hoped they were doing alright and were still alive 'Please be safe guys' Naruto thought as he continued his search.
With Sakura, Karin and Katsu
Sakura ducked under a slash from Asuka's twin hooks before throwing a punch aimed towards her midsection; Asuka dodged the punch by jumping to the side and countered by sending a kick towards Sakura's head.
Sakura raised her arm as the kick connected and proceeded to grab her leg before rising to her feet and spinning around "Have a nice trip" Sakura shouted as she flung Asuka through the air and toward the ice wall.
Asuka slammed into the wall hitting her back and her head knocking the wind out of her before landing on her feet; a few seconds later she regained herself and looked up only to see Sakura's fist coming towards her.
Moving her head at the last minute Sakura's punch slammed into the ice wall sending a spiderweb of cracks spreading across; Asuka seeing that Sakura was closer now spun her twin hooks around and sent a thrust with the sharp point at the base of the hilt.
As the blade neared Sakura's heart Sakura reached out her gloved hand and caught it with a small stream of blood coming out from between her fingers.
"Nice try; but it'll take more than that to finish me off" Sakura said before using her super strength to snap the blade off before sending another punch towards Asuka.
Asuka raised both of her sword to defend herself and Sakura's fist collided with her blades; the first blade snapped in half while the second blade was knocked away as the fist continued towards her. Sakura's fist slammed into Asuka's chest cracking ribs and sending her rolling back before stopping several yards away.
"S-shit" Asuka choked out as she spat up some blood and got to her feet; her anbu chest plate was cracked beyond repair and with the pull of a cable her chest plate fell off 'I think she cracked my sternum'.
"Still want some more?" Sakura said looking at her before getting back into her taijutsu stance "well lets go then".
……
Meanwhile Katsu was having her own battle further down the hall with Asuka and Kama's anbu; twelve on one was not Katsu's idea of a fight but she did not complain. Katsu heard the sounds of feet hitting the icy floor and spun around and raising her arms.
Katsu used her ice claws to block a sword slash from one of the root anbu that was able to close the distance; the steel blade of the sword clanged against her ice claw and Katsu retaliated with a kick to the chest knocking him away giving herself some room.
As soon as this happened three of the root anbu took out kunai and shuriken and threw them towards Katsu; Katsu seeing dozens of flying weapons coming towards her slammed her hands onto the ground and shouted.
"Ice Style: Ice wall" A wall of ice rose from the ground in front of her and the projectiles stuck into the thick ice wall; Katsu rose back to her feet and clenched both of her fists and got ready yo punch the wall "Ice Style: Hail Storm" she shouted. Katsu drove both of her fists forward and punched the wall shattering it and causing pieces of ice to fly towards the root anbu at high speeds.
The three anbu were to slow to avoid the oncoming ice and were shredded as if they were hit by a large volley of shuriken; as the bodies dropped to the ground another anbu flanked around Katsu and went through hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu" the anbu shouted before launching a moderately powered fireball towards her; Katsu seeing the fire ball coming towards her jumped back as the fireball impacted where she was just standing. Katsu landed in a crouch and 2 more root anbu rushed in from both her right and left side in a simultaneous assault; both anbu sent identical piercing strikes with their swords and Katsu got ready to counter.
Katsu reached out with both of her ice claws and grabbed their swords, spinning around and redirecting their attacks; Katsu pulled both swords as well as their wielders and proceeded to make them stab and kill each other.
Katsu kicked both of their bodies away and got into a defensive stance as the remaining anbu surrounded her "five down; seven to go" she said.
……
Karin meanwhile was fighting Kama using her chakra chains and was having a hard time trying to hit her; Kama was dodging and ducking under Karin's chains like they were moving in slow motion. Karin was getting pissed at how fast she was moving.
'How the hell is she moving so fast?' Karin thought 'I mean she's not as fast as Naruto, Lee or Hinata but this is ridicules'. Karin sent her chains towards Kama once more and Kama got ready to duck under the chain; at the last minute Karin changed the angle and it went straight towards her face. Kama in a panic raised up her sword to protect her; the chain hit her sword and proceeded to wrap around it.
Karin smiled and with a hard yank pulled the sword out of Kama's grasp tasking away her weapon; Kama cursing in her mind reached down and took out several shuriken and threw them at Karin before rushing towards her. Karin seeing this used her chains to knock the shuriken out of the air before re-engaging with Kama.
Kama ran as fast as she could towards Karin who launched her chakra chains at her; Kama was only a few feet away when this happened and was able to duck under and counter. Kama sent a punch towards Karin's face and Karin raised her arms to protect herself; Kama's punch hit Karin's arms and she followed up with a second punch hitting Karin in the gut knocking the wind out of her.
Using this opportunity Kama performed a sweep kick and knocked Karin off her feet, sending her to the icy floor; Kama took out a kunai and plunged it down towards Karin who reached out and caught the arm. Kama came down with all her weight and was trying to plunge the kunai into Karin's chest.
Karin struggled against Kama as the 2 women wrestled for domination; the kunai was only and inch away from Karin's heart and she strained against Kama's strength. Karin in a moment of desperation launched her head forward and head butted Kama in the nose making it gush out blood and knocking her back a little bit.
Karin raised her foot and with all her strength kicked Kama off of her sending her slamming into the ice covered wall a few feet away; Karin launched a new chakra chain towards her and Kama just barely recovered enough to dodge it.
'Damn, that was close' Karin thought as she got back to her feet 'there's no way I'm letting that happen again'; Karin watched as Kama stood several yards away in a defensive position. 'Stay calm Karin; focus on taking her out' Karin thought before attacking Kama once more.
With Kurumi, Obito, Kakashi and Sasuke
Kurumi and the rest of her group rushed towards Itachi with their weapons drawn as Itachi rushed towards them in a full on sprint; Kurumi brought back her sword and swung it towards Itachi who raised his sword.
Itachi blocked Kurumi's sword strike and with a twist of his wrist parried her sword to the side; Itachi sent a thrust towards Kurumi's head aiming for her eye socket to pierce her brain. Kurumi using her sharingan to track the blade ducked and sent another slash towards Itachi's feet in order to cripple him; Itachi seeing this jumped over the blade and sent a kick towards Kurumi who raised her left arm to protect herself.
The kick landed and Kurumi was sent skidding back across the ground but had no significant damage done to her; Itachi landed on the ground and as soon as he did, Kakashi closed the distance.
Kakashi took out a kunai and slashed at Itachi and Itachi raised his sword and blocked the attack; Kakashi and Itachi began to slash and attack each other at a fast rate that both were barely able to keep up even with the use of their sharingan.
Itachi slashed at Kakashi who leaned back just enough where the tip of the blade cut his jonin vest but did not draw blood; Kakashi sent a slash towards Itachi who moved his sword in front of the kunai stopping the attack.
Kakashi in a quick and fluid moment reached out with his free hand grabbing Itachi's wrist; Kakashi launched a kick aimed towards Itachi's elbow in an attempt to break his arm. Itachi however sent a kick of his own launching it towards Kakashi's leg; both kicks canceled each other out but Itachi reacted quicker and launched a second kick.
The kick nailed Kakashi in the face launching his head up and breaking his hold on Itachi's wrist; Itachi sent a stab towards the stunned Kakashi but before the sword could make contact Itachi heard chirping from behind him.
"CHIDORI" Sasuke roared as he thrusted his chidori covered hunting knife towards Itachi's back; Itachi spun around and attempted to use his sword to block the attack. Sasuke's blade made contact with Itachi's sword the the result was the sword breaking and half and Sasuke's attack continuing towards Itachi.
Itachi dodged the attack as the blade passed by missing his chest by mere inches; Sasuke canceled his jutsu and spun around sending a kick using his prosthetic leg, aiming towards Itachi's head.
Itachi jumped back into the air and went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu'; Itachi launched a massive fire ball towards Sasuke. Sasuke went through his own set of hand signs and took a deep breath.
'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu' Sasuke thought before launching his own massive fireball; both of the fire balls collided and canceled each other out. Itachi landed and closed one of his eyes and looked at Sasuke; his sharingan morphed into his Mangekyo Sharingan and he spoke one work.
"Amaterasu " Itachi said and black flames began to rush towards Sasuke; Sasuke was about to summon his Susanoo to protect him but Obito jumped in front of him and focused his Mangekyo sharingan on the oncoming fire.
"Kamui" Obito said as a vortex appeared in front of him and began to such the black flames into his pocket dimension; after the black fire was gone Obito canceled it and looked at Itachi.
Itachi's eye was bleeding and he felt his vision began to deteriorate slightly from the use of the Amaterasu; Sasuke dashed from behind Obtio and aimed his crossbow at Itachi before firing a bolt at him.
Itachi swung his sword and cut the bolt in half but this was only a distraction as Kurumi came up from behind Itachi and sent a stab towards him; Itachi spun around and swung his sword at Kurumi hitting her in the neck. Itachi thought he killed her as his blade passed through; only for Kurumi to 'poof' into smoke and another Kurumi appeared behind the other one, her blade inches from Itachi's face.
'A shadow clone' Itachi thought in panic as Kurumi's blade neared; Itachi in a desperate move attempted to move his head to the right but this wasn't enough as the tip of Kurumi's blade cut his left eye.
Itachi grit his teeth in pain before sending a kick straight under Kurumi's jaw causing a large amount of blood and saliva to spill out before she was sent flying back; Kakashi dashed over and caught Kurumi before putting her on her feet.
"Kurumi, are you ok?" Kakashi asked and Kurumi nodded.
Kurumi spat a stream of blood onto the floor along with two teeth and she looked to Kakashi showing her two of her left incisors were gone "I phink I goth him gooth" Kurumi said with a lisp and Kakashi grimaced.
Itachi stood across from them holding his destroyed left eye as blood rushed from between his fingers; Kurumi spat another glob of blood and spoke "leth kill 'dis pwick" Kurumi said.
With Sakura, Karin and Katsu
Sakura ducked under a slash from Asuka's sword and performed a sweep kick aiming to take her off her feet; Asuka jumped over the kick and sent one of her own with her foot connecting to the side of Sakura's jaw.
Sakura spat up blood that splattered on the icy floor and Asuka came down with her hook sword aiming to take off Sakura's head; however before she could Sakura charged her right hand with lightning chakra as lightning began to crackle from her finger tips.
"Raitanken" Sakura shouted as she swung her right hand towards the sword coming towards her face; Asuka had no way to stop her attack as Sakura's Raitanken sliced through her sword like a hot knife through butter.
The attack went past Asuka's hand and was aimed at her head; Asuka attempted to move her head to the side but Sakura's ring and pinky finger grazed her cheek and the damage was immediate.
The right side of Asuka's cheek was both ripped and burned as Sakura's fingers went past her head; Sakura seeing her attack failed raised her foot and kicked Asuka in the stomach sending her flying back into the icy wall. The wall behind her cracked and Asuka slid to the floor.
Asuka's face was a mess as her right cheek was gone showing her exposed teeth and jaw 'k-kill; I'm gonna kill you' Asuka thought as she attempted to get back up.
"Sit your ass down" Sakura shouted as she kicked Asuka in the chest cracking her sternum and making her cough up blood "this is for Shizune" Sakura shouted as she cocked back her fist.
Sakura sent a chakra powered punch to the left side of Asuka's face and with a resounding boom knocked her head to the side and knocked out some teeth and making her split up blood.
"This is for my parents" Sakura shouted as she threw two more punches, one hitting Asuka in the right side of her face with the other hitting her in the middle of the stomach.
Asuka was fully awake for this as due to her training and enhancements from Danzo and Orochimaru her pain tolerance and resilience was higher than a normal persons; however this also meant that Sakura could continue her beating.
Sakura straddled Asuka and began to send dozens full powered punches to Asuka's face and body with loud booms echoing down the halls from the force of impact; Sakura wasn't throwing well aimed and techniques blows, she was beating Asuka in the most barbaric and primal way possible.
"CHAAA" Sakura shouted as she threw one more punch hitting Asuka in the jaw before stopping; Sakura was breathing heavily as she got off of Asuka.
Asuka's face was a broken and swollen mess; her left eye was collapsed in while her right eye was swollen shut, her jaw hung loosely as it was dislocated and broken in multiple places. Her ribs were shattered and her nose was crushed to near non existence.
Sakura looked at her blood hands and reached down and put a hand on Asuka's neck and chest; Sakura did not feel a pulse nor a heartbeat or breathing. Sakura let out a sigh and stood back up; Sakura in one last act of defiance spat on the mangled body of Asuka and spoke "was it worth it?" Sakura asked before walking away.
……
Karin clutching a kunai ducked under a slash from Kama's kunai before sending a stab from her own; Kama stepped out of the way of the stab but Karin was expecting this and quickly let go of the kunai and opened her palm towards Kama.
Kama saw this but was too slow to move as Karin created a chakra chain from her palm and shot it towards Kama; the chain hit Kama in her lower right side just below the liver and piercing through and through.
"Gah" Kama grunted as the chain went through her; Karin quickly pulled the chain back towards herself and stuck out her let. Karin kicked Kama in the stomach knocking the wind out of her and sending her to the ground; the chakra chain ripped out of Kama's body and Karin was about to attack again but Kama beat her to it.
Kama threw the kunai she held at Karin at close range and Karin had no way to dodge it; Karin in an act of desperation raised up her left hand and the kunai hit it piercing through the back of her hand before stopping.
"AHHH, You bitch" Karin shouted as she sent a kick towards Kama's face; Karin's foot hit her in the nose making her pervious nose wound even worse. Karin in an instant ripped the kunai out of her hand and created another chakra chain and grabbed each end with both hands; Karin lunged at Kama and flipped her over while she was still stunned.
Karin proceeded to wrap the chain around Kama's throat and began to pull back with all her might while sitting on Kama's back; Kama went wide eyed as she felt the chain around her neck and began to try and pull the chain away.
Both women struggled on the ground with Kama punching up and hitting Karin with her back so now Karin was on the bottom and Kama was on top; Karin still pulled back on the chain around Kama's throat gritting her teeth as she did so.
Kama began to choke and gasp as she clawed at Karin's hands with her nails ripping off skin and causing her to bleed; Karin despite the pain continued to pull as tight as she could as Kama struggled.
After another minute Kama began to slow and a low groan began to escape her mouth "K-k-k…" Kama made a noise but soon stopped as she went still and both of her hands fell beside her. Karin held this position for another minute until she canceled the chain and rolled Kama off of her.
Karin looked down and saw purple bruising around Kama's neck and her wind pipe pushed in; her lips were blue and her eyes were blood shot, showing lack of oxygen and popped blood vessels.
"Bitch" Karin said as she began to walk away to go and find Sakura or Katsu.
……
"Bitch" a root anbu shouted as he threw a shuriken at Katsu who made a hand sign and made an ice wall between herself and the oncoming shuriken; the shuriken hit the ice wall and Katsu made a hand sign.
"Ice Style: Hail Storm" Katsu shouted before punching the wall and shattering into ice and sending it towards the root anbu; the root anbu seeing this before jumped out of the way and went through hand signs.
"That shit doesn't work twice" the anbu shouted before he realized Katsu wasn't there; he heard noises above him and saw Katsu running on all fours across the ice covered ceiling.
"Don't need it too" Katsu shouted as she pounced down and brought back her claw; Katsu with one single hit knocked the anbu's head off sending it flying into the wall before it splattered like a watermelon.
Katsu got to her feet before spinning on her heels and looked at the remaining six anbu; the anbu were split into two groups of three and Katsu was about to attack when she got out of her stance and canceled her ice claws.
The Anbu got confused and one of them spoke "what's wrong; giving up already?" He asked and Katsu shook her head.
"Nah" Katsu said "just going to let this play out"; the anbu got confused but soon found out what she was talking about when a chakra chain shot out from one of the hallways and pierced him and two of his comrades through the neck.
"Holy shit" one of the anbu from the other group shouted; unseen by them from their side of the hallway Sakura came running out with her fist cocked back.
"CHAAAA" Sakura roared as she threw a punch as one of the anbu turned around; the punch pierced through his head and out the back and Sakura picked his body up and swung it around like a mace. Sakura slammed the body into the other two anbu with such force that the impact shattered bones and cracked their skills before they were sent flying into the wall.
Sakura pulled her hand out of the anbu's had and flicked off the blood "nasty" Sakura said.
Karin from the other side of the hallway called back her chain and spoke "is that all of them?" Karin asked and Katsu nodded.
"Yep, that's all of them; how about Asuka and Kama?" Katsu asked.
"Beat her to death" Sakura said "no heart beat and no pulse".
"Strangled her with my chain" Karin said before looking at the back of her hands "man that bitch had sharp nails".
"Get them healed in a minute" Katsu said as she made a hand sign and the ice around them began to melt into water "lets go and help out the others".
"Right" Both Sakura and Karin said as Katsu began to lead them out of their area as their mission was complete.
With Kurumi, Obito, Kakashi and Sasuke
Kurumi and Kakashi both rushed towards Itachi flanking him on either side; Kurumi was on Itachi's blind left with her sword while Kakashi was on his right with a kunai in his hand. Itachi slashed at Kakashi with his sword and Kakashi raised up his kunai to defend himself; both blades bit into each other and sparks began to fly.
Kurumi on Itachi's left slashed at him aiming at his neck to get a decapitation; Itachi despite being blind in one eye, used his hearing and ducked under the blade and kicked Kurumi in the stomach before using the same leg to kick Kakashi under the jaw.
Itachi focused chakra into his legs and jumped backwards into an open area away from them; Sasuke saw this and whispered a single word "Susanoo" Sasuke said as the purple ribcage of his Susanoo appeared.
The Susanoo formed two arms and Sasuke charged towards Itachi cocking back one of his Susanoo's fists; Itachi seeing this also whispered a single word 'Susanoo' Itachi said as his reddish orange complete Susanoo appeared with both the Yata Mirror and the Sword Of Totsuka in either hand.
Itachi put his Yata Mirror in front of himself as Sasuke's Susanoo's punch neared and connected; Sasuke's Susanoo's arm shatter into pieces before Itachi raised his Susanoo's sword and brought it down towards Sasuke.
Sasuke went wide eyed and canceled his Susanoo before jumping up with all his might towards the ceiling just as the sword passed him and hit the ground cutting into it.
Sasuke focuses on to Itachi's Susanoo and spoke "Amaterasu" Sasuke said as black flames shot down towards Itachi's Susanoo; Itachi raised his Yata mirror above his head and the black flames hit his mirror.
Obito seeing an opportunity ran over to Kurumi and spoke "Kurumi, now's your chance" he said "us it"; Kurumi realized what he meant and nodded.
Kurumi grabbed onto her father and both vanished in a vortex.
Sasuke still standing on the ceiling was bleeding heavily from his eye as he was overusing his Amaterasu 'damn it… someone do something while I got him pinned' he thought as he grit his teeth and his eyes began to burn.
Itachi was doing no different as his one remaining eye was straining as well 'how long is he going to keep doing this?' Itachi thought as his mirror strained under the black flames 'it's been nearly fifteen seconds since-'.
Itachi then realized what was happening but it was too late; Kurumi appeared from a black vortex from behind Itachi and whispered "Susanoo". Kurumi's complete Susanoo appeared with it's sword in hand; Kurumi without wasting a second sent a stab towards Itachi's Susanoo's back with the sword.
The sword pierced the Susanoo's back and went through until it hit Itachi from behind; the blade of the Susanoo burst through his chest appearing from his upper chest down to his groin nearly cutting him in half.
Sasuke seeing this canceled his Amaterasu and jumped down from the ceiling holding his bleeding eye "Sasuke" Kakashi shouted as he ran over "are you ok?"
Sasuke was panting and groaning before looking at Kakashi; Sasuke's right eye was a milky white and bleeding heavily "I-I'm fine" Sasuke said before getting to his feet "I-I guess I'm out an eye". Sasuke turned around and saw as Itachi's Susanoo began to fade away to nothing and Kurumi pulled her sword out of his body "good riddance" he said.
Kurumi saw Itachi's body hit the ground and a pool of blood begin to leak out of the large wound in the middle of his body; when the body went still Kurumi deactivated her Susanoo and her sharingan and turned around to look at Obito who had a smile on his face.
Kurumi smiled back at him showing him her missing teeth "wellth pa, I gueth-" Kurumi began until Obito dashed forward and activated his Kamui. Kurumi was about to ask what's wrong but Obito reached out and grabbed Kurumi with his hand and pulled her through himself and once she was on the other side there was a loud squelching noise.
Kurumi hit the ground hard and turned around and felt her world shatter.
Itachi was alive and had stabbed Obito through his sharingan with his sword; Obito was holding onto the blade out of reflex. Itachi's one remaining eye was a milky white just like Sasuke's and was gritting his teeth; Itachi raised his foot and kicked Obito backwards pulling his sword out at the same time.
"DADDY!" Kurumi shouted.
Kakashi seeing this dashed forward creating a raikiri in his hand "NO" Kakashi shouted as before Itachi could react Kakashi plunged his Raikiri into his stomach. Kakashi had so much momentum that his hand dragged Itachi into the nearest wall before pulling his hand out; Itachi began to vomit out blood as he held the hole in his stomach.
"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE?" Kakashi roared "I SAW YOU-".
"Izanagi; a forbidden jutsu" Itachi said as his mouth filled with blood "m-my last move"; Itachi coughed up blood onto his chest and continued. "I-I couldn't die… without taking one of you with me" Itachi said weakly "I was aiming for the girl… but-".
Itachi was cut off when a crossbow bolt shot through his brain and killed him instantly; Sasuke was standing a few feet away with his crossbow in hand and a snarl on his face "cowardly bastard" he snarled.
This was drowned out by the sound of Kurumi's screaming; both Sasuke and Kakashi looked over and saw Kurumi cradling her father head in her lap and wailing uncontrollably.
Kakashi got up and ran over and grabbed her by the waist "Kurumi, Kurumi let go; we have to move and-" he began but the girl began to thrash around.
"DON'T TOUCH ME, DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME" Kurumi shouted as she began to fight Kakashi's hold "I DIDN'T SAY GOODBYE, I DIDN'T SAY GOODBYE".
Kakashi seeing how Kurumi was, took out a kunai and using the ring portion hit Kurumi into the back of the head and knocked her out; Kurumi's slumped forward and Kakashi put her on the ground gently. Kakashi looked over to Obito's body and began to have flashback in his mind.
He saw his father lying on the floor of his family's home with his stomach cut open, Rin looking at him with wide eyes and blood rushing out of her mouth, Minato and Kushina laying side by side next to a sleeping baby Naruto and the third Hokage laying dead on the chunin exam arena roof.
"SHIT" Kakashi shouted as he punched the ground and buried his face in his hands and began to sob "…shit". Sasuke seeing this grit his teeth and looked back to Itachi's corpse; making a simple hand sign Sasuke launched a weak fire jutsu to set his body on fire before walking over.
"We need to move" Sasuke said his voice hollow and solemn "I'll take care of Obito and Kurumi… go and find the others"; Kakashi cried for only a few seconds before wiping his tears and standing up.
"Ok… be careful with him" Kakashi said before he began to walk away; Sasuke didn't answer or call out, he simply took out a scroll and sealed Obito's body into it before putting it in his pocket.
Sasuke then went over and picked up Kurumi bridal style and began to walk out leaving nothing but Itachi's charred corpse behind in the room.
With Guy, Anko Kurenai, Lee and Hinata
Anko was leading her five man squad through the hell on earth that was the second level in their search for Orochimaru's lab.
"Where the hell is it?" Anko asked as she and the others turned a corner "that slimy bastard must have a lab somewhere around here".
"Keep your head Anko" Guy said as he ran beside her "we'll find him eventually"; Anko nodded and Guy looked towards Hinata. "Hinata, do you see anything?" Guy asked and Hinata scouted around using her Byakugan.
Hinata was looking through the chaotic halls as she tried to find anyone with a extremely high chakra level; Hinata suddenly went wide eyed and spoke up "I see something" Hinata said. "I see a door but I cannot see past it" Hinata said and Kurenai looked at her.
"What do you mean Hinata?" Kurenai asked and Hinata looked to her.
"I mean I cannot see past the door or into the room; it looks all fuzzy" Hinata said and Lee looked at her.
"How is that possible?" Lee asked and Hinata spoke.
"It must be made of a special composite material or something the Byakugan can't see through" Hinata admitted and Anko looked to her.
"Sounds like Orochimaru's idea; he's not the type to allow people to spy on his experiments" Anko said "take us to the room"; Hinata nodded and took the lead as they ran down the halls as sounds of fighting and dying echoed all around them.
Upon reaching the door Hinata talked about they all saw it was a metal door painted white; Anko went up and used a kunai to cut a piece of paint off and looked at it closely. Anko then sniffed it and spoke "lead based paint" Anko said before looking to Hinata who went wide eyed.
"The Byakugan can't see through lead; it's one of our secrets" Hinata said surprised "how did Orochimaru know that?"
"Shit, he probably cut open some poor Hyuga to find out" Anko said making Hinata gulp "Guy, would you kindly?"
"With pleasure" Guy said as he raised his foot and proceeded to kick the door off it's henges and sent it flying into the room; the squad ran into the room and saw it large and mostly empty except for about 50 tubes of liquid and what looked like people inside in the middle of the room.
"What the hell?" Kurenai said as she and the other walked in on full alert "what is this; this is-".
"My experiments" came Orochimaru's voice; Guy, Lee and Hinata got into taijutsu stances while Anko and Kurenai pulled out some Kunai and they got into a circle formation. Orochimaru came out from behind one of the tubes and spoke "hello dear Anko, how nice to see you" he said with a sickeningly wide smile.
"Bastard; what is this?" Anko demanded and Orochimaru chuckled.
"Just a little last minute wonder weapon to try and win the war" Orochimaru said with a smile "but looks like I'll have to use them sooner than I imagined".
"We can take anything you throw at us" Guy said no longer having his 'good guy' smile "you're evil ends here Orochimaru"; Orochimaru merely chuckled before pulling out a single scroll.
"Oh… but I'm not alone" Orochimaru said as he opened the scroll "I still have an several aces up my sleeve thanks to the Edo Tensei"; a poof of smoke appeared and Guy, Anko and Kurenai went wide eyed. Hinata and Lee were both confused as they did not recognize the man.
"Guy Sensei; who is that man?" Lee asked "and why is he dress like us?"
Guy swallowed as he looked on; green jump suit, orange leg warmers, black hair, mustache and a orange ascot around his neck.
"Dad?" Guy asked and both Hinata and Lee went slack jawed.
"Hello my boy; it is I Might Duy" Duy said giving Guy a thumbs up and a shining smile "Orochimaru here thought an act of cowardice summoned me back to the land of the living; so now you must defeat me."
"Oh my god there's three now" Anko said in disgust "how can this get any worse?"
"I'll show you" Orochimaru said as he made a hand sign and all the tubes full of liquid burst open revealing both men and women completely bald and naked; all of the test subjects then began to grow sharp bones from their backs and forearms and started to snarl like feral beasts. "I'm so glad I kept some of Kimimaro's DNA" Orochimaru said with a smile "turns out he was more useful to me after all".
Guy cursed before speaking up "Anko, Kurenai, please handle Orochimaru" he said and both women nodded; Guy seeing this then turned to Lee and Hinata. "Lee, Hinata, handle those… what ever they are" Guy said and the both of them nodded "there are fifty in total; so divide and conquer".
"Yes Guy Sensei" Lee said with a salute.
"I'll do my best" Hinata said.
"Good" Guy said "I'll handle my father" Guy said as he walked forward and crossed his arms. "No holding back now" Guy said as he closed his eyes 'First Gate… gate of opening… open"; Guy opened the first gate and Lee realized how serious it was.
Guy's team saw him repeatedly open gates up until he reached the fourth gate; his skin was now red, his eyes were white, his muscles were bulging and he had a green aura around him.
Duy saw this and in a much faster rate than Guy opened his first four gates as well "YOSH SUCH POWER ROLLING OFF YOU SON; I HOPE IT'S ENOUGH TO BEAT ME" he shouted in excitement and Guy looked at him.
"It will father" Guy said before getting into his taijutsu stance "lets begin this youthful father/son battle shall we?"; in a burst of speed both Guy and Duy cleared the distance in a fraction of a second and threw simultaneous punches causing a shockwave to shake the large room and beginning the battle.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yeah, Obito died saving Kurumi; I can't have everyone survive this battle and I had to decide who to do. Kurumi was out of the question and same with Kakashi ; I thought about Sasuke, but thought against it since I just brought him back and it would be seem cheap to do so.
