"Damn, my body hurts so fucking bad," groaned Tess.
"M-my bad," apologized an out of breath Mikey.
"It's alright booboo," grinned Tess as she playfully pushed Mikey forward to lean against his back, "Yo Miles, ya good?!"
"Huh," groaned Miles as he turned to look over, "What? Oh, I'm fine. It's Marie you should be worried about."
"Oh shut up," Marie yelled, kicking behind Miles' knee.
"Hey," Miles yelped as he held his knee to his chest, he glared at her.
Marie stuck out her tongue in a playful expression, causing everyone to laugh. Soon, it became extremely windy. This confused everyone but Marie.
"Why is she coming," Marie thought out-loud.
"Why is who coming? And why the fuck is it so windy," asked Tess.
"It's windy because a very powerful woman is coming."
"A villain," asked Miles as he ripped his shirt to reveal his super suit underneath.
"Were you wearing that the whole time?" Mikey deadpanned.
Miles blushed, "It's better to be safe than sorry."
Mikey shrugged, "Yeah, I guess that makes sense!"
"Mikey...you have to go somewhere," Marie said slowly as a portal opened.
"Huh? Me? Is…..is that a portal?!"
"Does it belong to Leo," questioned Miles.
Mikey shook his head, "No. No, this is different…"
Sailor Pluto's gloved hand reached out and dragged Mikey into the portal.
"M-Mikey," yelled Miles as he tried to run after him, Marie pulled back.
Miles struggled to get out of Marie's death grip. He hissed and the portal closed.
"Mariam," yelped Tess, from the sidelines, "what the heck?!"
"He's safe, trust me," assured Marie as she let Miles go.
He stumbled to the ground, "No he's not. He was just basically abducted!"
"Well…he is safe, no matter what she'll protect him," assured Marie.
Tess's eye twitched, "WHO'S 'SHE'?!"
Marie sighed, "You both are gonna wanna sit down for this explanation," she stated, "Get settled. I'll make some relaxation tea."
30 minutes later:
Marie walked back into the dojo to see Tess and Miles sitting criss-crossed on the floor. She smiled softly.
"Trust me. Pluto will keep Mikey safe," she said as she sat down on her knees in front of the two.
Miles groaned, "I do trust you but…you gotta admit, we have the right not to trust the situation."
"Miles' right. We just saw Mikey getting kidnapped and dragged into a gosh-damn portal and you're tellin' us not to worry," scoffed Tess, "I'm sure Miles is confused, so am I. We're confused. Mariam, you better explain or else."
"Tesla…you're as straightforward as your brother," smiled Marie as she took a sip of her tea.
Tess faltered for a second, "My brother? You've never met him."
"I have."
"Uh, no you haven't. He would've told me, I would've known. He tells me everything! You've never met him before."
"Not in this life, no. In the past, yes."
Tess repeatedly blinked, she turned to look at Mikes, "You understand what she's saying?"
Miles shook his head, "Nope. I'm as lost as you are, Tess."
Marie sighed, "This wasn't how things were supposed to be revealed."
"What exactly wasn't supposed to be revealed? Marie, please tell us what's going on," pleaded a curious Miles.
Marie sighed again, "You know of…mystical things, right?"
Tess and Miles shared a look, they nodded.
"Well," started Marie, "There was a time, a millennia ago, where mystical magic flourished. On Earth…and out in the solar system."
"Solar System," repeated Tess as she tilted her head to the side as Miles shook his head.
"Earth couldn't have been mystical that long ago. It doesn't make sense," stated Miles.
"Because the truth was hidden when a dangerous villain struck," stated Marie.
"Villain? Is that why Mikey had to leave," asked Tess.
Marie shook her head, "No. I…I shouldn't tell you."
"Marie please. We need to know," stated Miles.
"Yeah, we wanna understand why Mikey was…taken somewhere," added Tess.
"Please," begged Miles, "We're like a mini family, and family protects family. There should be no secrets."
Marie scoffed, "Or really? No secrets, Spider-Man? Why don't you go tell your parents about-cha?"
Miles blushed, "M-Marie please!"
"Mariam, girl, we need to know," groaned Tess, "Not just because of family and shit, because something supernatural is happening too. We're heroes, remember?"
Marie nodded her head slowly, "Fine. I guess you both do have the right to know. Long ago, there was a palace. A palace on the Moon."
Mikes raised his eyebrow, "The Moon? But that's-"
"Not possible? It was," sighed Marie, "And it was beautiful."
"I'm sure it was," groaned a sarcastic Tess.
Marie glared at her, "I'm telling the truth. Something called the 'Silver Millennium' which was portrayed as an ancient Golden Age, marked by peace, prosperity, and good relationships between the people of Earth with the rest of the population within the Solar System, including the Darklands."
"Darklands? As in hell," questioned Tess as Miles was more focused on the fact there was life in the Solar System.
"But how," asked Miles, "I'm certain that it's not scientifically possible, in class we even had a debate about it."
"If you would let me continue you would know how," hissed Marie, Miles instantly shut up, "Now, as I was saying, the kingdom, though it had a fairy-tale appearance, demonstrated advanced technology."
"Woah…Donnie will SO want to hear about this later," remarked Tess.
"Mhm, definitely," muttered Miles, "Marie, how could they breathe," he asked as he folded his hands.
"If I remember correctly, the Moon Kingdom existed within a dome that produced an artificial climate, allowing the residents to breathe properly and freely."
"Woah…is this where Mikey was taken," Tess asked.
Marie shook her head, "Oh Phoebus no!"
Tess scrunched up her face in confusion, "Phoebus?"
Marie ignored her, "The Moon Kingdom itself, was ruled by Queen Serenity, while the Sun Citadel was ruled by her husband and mate, King Apollo. He died many years prior, but that's not the point."
"Then what is? Where is Mikey? And why is he gone," asked a now annoyed Tess.
Marie scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Ahem, please let me continue without any interruptions. As I was saying, the Moon Kingdom was also home to Princess Serenity and her four guardians, later to be known as the Sailor Guardians.
Along with her younger brother, Prince Mitsuki and his own guardians, the three Solar Knights. These knights also protected Prince Zemon but he himself had one main protector, Lady Phoenix of the Darklands, she was his best friend.
Anyways, King Hades, the king of the Darklands, was close friends with King Apollo. Hence why the dark siblings, Zemon and his younger sister Princess Nova of the Darklands, were often on the Moon.
Princess Nova had one singular guardian, Sailor Solar Flare who-"
"Is this a fairy-tale ," quipped Tess.
"She said not to interrupt, Tess," scolded Miles.
Marie rolled her eyes, "I'll just…never mind Nova, she's a story for another time."
"There's more," asked Miles. He knew that this was interesting, even if it wasn't true. Which is what he believes. 'This couldn't be real, right,' he questioned himself.
Marie smiled softly, "During this era, Prince Endymion, flanked by his four Earthly Guardians, held the position of First Crown Prince of Earth."
"THERE WAS A PRINCE OF THE EARTH," yelped Tess, "LIKE THE ENTIRE EARTH?!"
Marie's eye twitched, "Yes, Tesla, there was. As I was saying, people of the Darklands and Sun were extremely close, because of the friendship of the past Kings.
But, for some reasons, despite a prohibition on relations between people of the Earth and the Moon, I honestly don't even know why there was a prohibition, anyways, somehow Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity fell in love.
Sadly Serenity and Endymion were defined to see each other, they often had to sneak out.
Meanwhile, because of the Darklands and Sun being close Kingdoms, it was very pleasant news that Mitsuki and Zemon fell in love, in fact, it was encouraged!
So encouraged, a disguised surprise party was thrown on the Moon. Everyone came, it was quite blissfully calm. All the royals of the Darklands, Sun, Moon, and Earth, were there to party. But the fun didn't last long.
Out of jealousy and under the influence of the evil Queen Metalia of the Dark Kingdom, a sorceress named Beryl raised up the citizens of Earth in a war against the Moon.
As a result, the Moon Kingdom was completely destroyed, with Prince Endymion, Princess Serenity, Prince Mitsuki, Princess Nova, Prince Zemon, and all of their guardians all died in the battle. This battle resulted in the end of the Silver Millennium."
"To quote Mikey, 'Ohmigosh…' that's…I have no words," stuttered Tess, "I-It sounds horrible!"
"Don't be distraught, after all, when it seemed all hope was lost, Queen Serenity used a powerful weapon, the Silver Crystal, to seal away the Dark Kingdom's powers, she took the natural magic away from Earth, and sent her daughter and son, Prince Endymion, the siblings of the Darklands, and guardians to be reborn on Earth."
"That's great news," said Miles but saw the look on Marie's face, "Isn't it?"
"Well, this all came at the cost of the Queen's own life," Marie stated, briefly whipping a tear from her eye, "Thanks to her sacrifice, I was one of those guardians who was reborn. So were you, Tesla, and your brother. And Miles…oh Miles- I hate to tell you this way but you're Prince Zemon."
To say Tess and Miles were shocked was an understatement. The two were having an internal crisis and were trying to fully understand what Marie said.
"W-What," choked out Miles.
"Sailor Solar Flare, Prince Zemon, are your past lives. Just like I'm Lady Phoenix. Which brings me to Mikey, aka Prince Mitsuki…"
"WHAT?! JUST, WHAT," yelped Mikes as Tess stared at the ground.
"The woman who took him was Sailor Pluto. One of the Outer Sailor Guardians.
Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune were guardians who had defended the Moon Kingdom from invaders from beyond the Solar System, while Sailor Pluto protected the Time Gate.
From what I can tell, that was Sailor Pluto from the future."
"The future," gasped Tess as she finally looked up.
Marie nodded, "I know this must all be a lot, but like I said before, Mikey's okay. Pluto would never hurt him."
"Okay, okay. So let me get this straight. There was a party on the Moon that was ruined by Earth soldiers, and everyone important was reincarnated to humans. And me, who's already Spider-Man, is the Prince or the Darklands. And Tess, is Sailor Solar Flare, AND Weather-Woman," yapped Miles, "How…I- Me and Mikey fell in love?"
"Woah dude, you're talking too fast," conformed a 'calm' Tess, "Relax. I'm sure your brain is making this situation worse than it is."
"Tesla is right. There is no need to freak out. In fact, isn't it exciting? To be from the Darklands," questioned Marie as she held her friend's hands.
Miles and Tess nodded slowly, "I guess," muttered Miles, "But I'm already…WE'RE superheroes."
"I know. But now…now you're more," stated Marie, she tightened her grip of their hands, "But, you shouldn't worry about this, you don't need to be your past selves yet."
Tess tilted her head, "What do you mean by yet-"
"Where's Mikey," interrupted Miles, Tess glared at him.
"Mikey was probably needed for his Golden Crystal."
"Golden Crystal? Didn't you say it was Silver," questioned Miles.
"I did, there's two," Marie simply said.
"What," yelped Tess, "Didn't you say it's a weapon? Now Mikey has a Solar weapon?"
Marie chuckled, "The Legendary Silver Crystal of the Moon, and the Legendary Golden Crystal of the Sun are both extremely powerful weapons that are typically not used for bad."
"Typically," repeated Tess as she raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, they are used to bring peace but in the wrong hands can bring disaster," Marie explained, "Something must've happened in the future. Mikey, I know for a fact, doesn't know about the past. Which is why I'm confused as to why the guardians needed him if he cannot remember…"
"You said he's safe right," asked Miles, Marie nodded, "Then we shouldn't worry. He can handle himself."
"Miles is right. We can ask him later," agreed Tess.
"If you two think that that's best. Wait, what should we tell his brothers? It's been a while already, I'm sure whatever battle is happening in the future will take some time to overcome," realized Marie.
"You're right…maybe they won't notice," shrugged Tess, as if on cue, her phone rang, "Or maybe they will," she whispered as she saw the caller id.
"Who is it," asked Marie.
Miles looked over Tess' shoulder, he groaned, "It's Raph…earlier Mikey blew him off, he's probably still worried."
"Should I answer," Tess asked.
"No…just text him really quickly," said Marie, "Write that Mikey fell asleep and now we're doing a sleepover."
At the lair:
"¡Raph, hermano mío, cálmate! I'm sure Mike will come back soon," assured Leo as Raph passed around the living room.
"Yeah, so stop spamming him," groaned Donnie.
"I'm not…" he pouted as he walked faster, "I'm spamming your friend Tess," stated Raph.
Donnie rolled his eyes, "Seriously? Didn't you already call Mikey? Didn't he say he was okay?"
"He did," answered Leo for Raph, "Miles' is with him, they're fine."
Raph stopped, he glared at Leo, "That call was 4 fours ago," he hissed.
"Raph, dear brother, let the boy be. He just wanted to go out and enjoy his youth. It may seem stupid but it's responsible," stated Donnie as he placed a robotic hand on his brother's shoulder.
Raph sighed, he looked down to see a text message from Tess, "Hm? 'Can't call rn, Mikey fell asleep. The rest of us r training. He's staying the night btw so don't worry, he'll be fine, don't question anything…bye.'…"
"See," said Leo from his seat, "He's fine! He's just takin' a nap!"
"I don't know…my older brother senses are tingling. This message is suspicious," stated Raph as he rubbed his head.
Donnie rolled his eyes, "I'm not going to argue whether or not Micheal is okay. I'm going to sleep."
"And by sleep you mean doing random stuff on your phone," teased Leo, Donnie gave him the finger as he walked away.
"Donnie's right…he's safe. He's safe and with safe people," Raph assured himself.
