"It's been awhile since we've heard from Mikey…" muttered Raph, he looked at his baby brothers room.
"He's probably just on his phone wearing headphones," shrugged Leo.
"No," Donnie simply said.
"What do you mean no," asked Raph as he now stood infront of the purple clad turtle.
"He is not in his room," he simply replied.
Leo raised his nonexistent eyebrow, "Don, what? Yeah he is," he scoffed at he opened Mikey's door, only to not see his brother, "Or not…"
Raph paled, he frantically picked up his phone and diled Mikey's number, "Come on…come on- Answer!"
Raph sighed happily when he saw Mikey answer, he was going to ask if he was okay but was interrupted.
"H Leo yawned as he walked up to the living room. He was really bored of just sitting on his bed, scrolling through social media platformsey, Raphie! I'm out with Miles, we're okay, so don't worry. Fyi, we're hanging out," Mikey immediately began but Raph's loud ass "WHAT?!" Interrupted him.
"Oohh, you're in trouble," teased Leo, Raph glared at him.
"R-Raphie," started Mikey, "Don't worry. I'm not even that far away form the lair, no humans will see me."
"Away from the lair?! HUMANS?! MICHELANGELO JONAS HAMATO YOU SNUCK OUT?!"
"Jonas," repeated Miles.
"Was that Miles," muttered Leo, Donnie shrugged knowingly.
"D-don't ask...Raphie, I'm safe. We're just doing art, and stuff."
"Raphiel, brother, trust me, they are fine," Donnie said, assuring the raging Raph, barely.
"Why not tell me, you know Raph worries," pouted Raph as Donnie sighed.
"Hi Donnie," greeted both Miles and Mikey said at the same time.
"Hello," Donnie responded.
"And to answer your question, Raph, I needed space," stated Mikey, Raph tilted his head.
"I…WE give you space," he stuttered.
"Don't drag us into this," yelled Leo from his position on the couch.
"Raph, I promise, Mikey's okay," assured Miles, "we'll protect each other if anything happens."
"YEP! Anyways… 'm good, everyone's good! Sooo...
BYE SEE YA," yelled Mikey.
"Wha-" started Raph, but Mikey had already hung up.
"That…" mumbled Donnie.
"Welp, you heard 'em! They're fine," shrugged Leo.
————————————————————————————-
Not long before:
Leo groaned as he walked into the living room. He was bored as hell, he was bored of scrolling through social media platforms, ex. Instagram, X, and a little bit of TikTok. He groaned as he plopped into the couch.
'What to do now,' he asked himself, 'Maybe I can watch a movie?'
Leo sprung up, 'We could have a family movie night…err morning! Or is it afternoon?'
"What are you doing standing like that," asked Donnie, Leo jumped at the sudden voice of his twin, "You are acting strange. What do you want?"
Leo fully faced Donnie, he scoffed, "I don't want anything but for our LOVING family that I adore so much, to watch a movie with poor ol' me," he stated dramatically, whining anyways a nonexistent tear.
"You are THAT bored," asked Donnie in a sassy tone, he rolled his eyes playfully, "Oh brother, do tell what movie you wish to watch with the family you 'adore' so much."
"Obviously Jupiter Jim," chirped Leo, who was jumping out of excitement.
Donnie raised his eyebrow, "Which one? There are an estimated 80 movies."
"80," yelped Leo, he shook his head, "I…you know, the newest one!"
"Jupiter Jim's Last Trip to the Moon," questioned Donnie as he tilted his head to the side, Leo shook his head again.
"No, the second latest one," pouted Leo.
"Th-" started Donnie but Leo shushed him.
"Ay dios mío…I meant: 'Jupiter Jim and the Lost Alien Kingdom'."
"The one with the alien princess," asked Donnie,
"Yeah…I've…Never…Seen…It…" whispered Leo, Donnie gasped.
"I saw it once, it was trash, but it was still a Jupiter Jim movie! How could you have never seen it," yelped Donnie as his robotic arms shaked Leo aggressively in the air.
He immediately stoned when he heard the loud footsteps of his eldest brother, "Put him down, Donnie," Raph grunted as he sat on the couch with a groan.
Donnie rolled his eyes as he set him down, "But Raphiel, this imbecile," he pointed to Leo, "has NEVER seen 'Jupiter Jim and the Lost Alien Kingdom'!"
Raph flinched slightly, these movies were very important to Leo, Raph was confused, "What? Say that again, big brother Raph is confused."
"Dude stop with the third person," muttered Leo.
The others ignored him, "You heard me. He has never seen it, he wants to watch it," stated Donnie.
"It's not a want anymore, it's basically mandatory now," said Raph, "I'll get Mikey," he said.
"Uh, not at all how I expected to get all of you to participate in a family movie afternoon," chuckled Leo as Donnie glared at him.
"How can you even call yourself a fan," Donnie mumbled as he shook his head, Leo sweatdropped.
An hour later:
"Calista?! What…what are you doing," asked a flustered Jupiter Jim, he backed away, "Shouldn't you be celebrating your kingdom's freedom with your father?"
The female identified as Calista, with bright pink hair and light yellow skin, chuckled, "Don't you understand Jim," she asked seductively, her bright red eyes staring into Jim's own.
His eyes widened with an unreadable look in them, "Understand what, your highness?"
"That I always loved you," whispered Calista.
Jim looked taken back, "W-What? Your highness…"
She shook her head in disbelief, "This whole time, since the moment we met! How could you NOT notice," she swooned, her expression showed how disheartened she was.
"Princess Calista…" muttered Jim as he lifted her chin closer to his face.
She raised her hands behind his neck and purred, "It's always been you, Jim."
Two out of the four brothers watching the movie cringed, audibly groaning in their own ways, while the other two let out enthusiastic awwws, Donnie reached and paused the movie.
Leo smacked his forehead and groaned into the sky, "Why'd I want to watch this again?"
Mikey giggled as he lifted his palm up to his face, hiding his grin, his eyes twinkling in awe, "It's adorable!"
Leo pouted, "Of course you would think that, lil bro," he groaned.
Raph's hands flapped at his sides as he chuckled, and Donnie fell backwards onto the ground from his perch on the living room sofa chair, immediately getting on his phone out of sudden boredom.
"Seriously, I told you it was trash. This movie is possibly the worst one in the franchise. Instant zero out of ten stars. Just for that whole scene," Donnie stated curtly, his phone raised over his head as he scrolled.
Raph gasped, he pouted,"What are you talking about, Donnie? That was beautiful!"
"For reals! That movie was epic," added Mikey.
Leo sat straight, "Hermanos, Jupiter Jim has never had one of these romantic moments before this movie, that's one of the reasons I enjoy Jupiter Jim movies."
"That's the point, Leo. They hit you right in the feels," countered Raph as he gestured to his heart.
The twins murmured their disapproval, shaking their heads emphatically.
"You were right," Leo muttered as Donnie smirked slightly.
Raph groaned, "It's a good movie, we should continue it. There's only 27 minutes left."
Donnie and Leo groaned, "No," they said in unison.
With the three arguing on what to do, Mikey remained quiet as he nodded along in agreement with Raph and frowning at his other brothers.
"How do you not realize that it is so unrealistic? Calista hated him when they were getting to know each other. She hated this intruder, who was randomly saying he would be her savior. You cannot just be in love with someone the moment you meet them, especially if you hated them," Donnie stated, getting back up onto the arm of the chair.
"It's also just straight up annoying," Leo started, "Why even add it? What does it bring to the story? They were barely even acquaintances but just because they're an alpha man and an omegan woman they have to be together?"
"Guys, it's not about realism," Mikey pouted, "It's about the heart! How can you be so cold and ruthless?"
"I don't get what's up with you guy's hatred of romance themes," Raph peered one eye at the purple turtle.
"They are simply boring," Donnie shrugged as Raph and Mikey gasped.
"Take that back," Mikey frowned tightly at them, lip quivering and voice rising, "No same person thinks that! I dare you to ask Miles, he'll tell you!"
Leo shook his head, "Think about it, Mikey. Who in their right mind wants to be with someone they've hated an entire week?"
"That's not the point," mumbled Mikey as he crossed his arms in frustration, "You're so boring."
Raph placed an arm on Mikey's shoulder, "Ok, Leo, you got a point," he begrudgingly agreed, "but you gotta remember, it isn't real. It's the possibilities it brings to the table."
"Lazy writing is what it is," Donnie said, "Making a character fall in love instead of actually developing them is just what writers do when they cannot think of anything satisfying to fill plot holes."
"Dee, how could you be so cruel! You Know that's not true," yelped Mikey, everyone started to argue until a loud cough was heard.
"What is going on," asked April as he put her weight onto her left leg.
Mikey's eyes lit up, "Apes," he chirped as he jumped up and hugged her.
She patted his back, "I heard yelling."
Mikey pulled away slightly, he pouted, "Dee and Lee think 'Jupiter Jim and the Lost Alien Kingdom,' is stupid because of its romance scenes," he cried dramatically.
"But it is," chimed Leo, "It makes zero sense!"
"You make zero sense," yelled Mikey as he pointed at Leo, "you big heartless meanie!"
Raph sighed, "You two, stop arguing."
"You can't be talkin Raph," yelled Mikey.
Both Leo and Raph shared a look, "Bro, ¿qué? Mikey...me estás confundiendo," muttered Leo as he held his head in his hands.
April raised her eyebrow, "Uh huh…yeah, I'm too tired for this. I just wanted Donnie to do my…I mean help me with my homework."
Donnie gleamed as he sat up, "Academic homework?"
April nodded, "You gonna help?"
Donnie's eyes sparked, "Of course," he grinned as he jumped up and ran him and April to his lab/room.
Mikey nearly fell backwards if it weren't for Raph catching him.
"Oof…so- Are we gonna continue the movie," he asked as he looked up.
Raph was about to say yes but Leo interrupted him by removing the film thingy (I honestly don't remember what it's called).
Mikey stood up, "Okay then…imma check on Donnie and April," he said as he left Raph and Leo alone in the living room.
Mikey smiles to himself when he hears his brothers apologize to each other, "Silly bros…" he muttered to himself as he skipped into the lab.
"Oh Dee~" he sang.
"Micheal," Donnie mumbled.
Mikey rolled his eyes, "Dude, let's just agree to disagree or do you need me to use Dr. Delicate Touch on you," he deadpanned.
Donnie visibly flinched as April chuckled, "N-No, we are fine. No need for THAT," he pouted.
As Mikey smirked, April leaned back, "Mikey, come sit! Let me tell you about my day! A LOT went down," she giggled.
Mikey brightened, he skipped over and sat on Donnie's desk for a good 30 minutes, until April fell asleep.
Another 14 minutes went by and he groaned because he got bored.
His gaze brightened when he saw Miles' text, asking if he wanted to meet up. He jumped off the desk causing Donnie to raise his eyebrow.
"Imma go visit Miles," Mikey showed his phone to Donnie as he whispered, April was sleeping after all.
Donnie nodded, his tone also hushed, "Do not do something stupid."
Mikey shook his head out of fondness, "I won't, don't worry about me," he said as he walked away.
"I do not worry," countered Donnie, a small smile on his face.
"Less talkin' more solvin'," muttered a sleepy April, Donnie rolled his eyes.
9 hours later:
"Dearest brother Raphael, what is occupying your mind? You are annoyingly pacing," hummed Donnie as Raph zoomed past him.
"I'm thinking," he simply answered.
"About," questioned Donnie as Raph dramatically turned to face him.
"What If he's dead?!"
"Who," Donnie asked.
"MIKEY! What if he got kidnapped or…" spiraled Raph, "I don't know…"
"¡Raph, hermano mío, cálmate! I'm sure Mike will come back soon," assured Leo as Raph passed faster around the living room.
"Yeah, so stop spamming him," groaned Donnie.
"I'm not…" he pouted as he walked faster, "I'm spamming your friend Tess," stated Raph slowly.
Donnie rolled his eyes, "Seriously? Did you or did you not already call Micheal? If I remember correctly, he said he was okay."
"He did," answered Leo for Raph, "Miles' is with him too, I'm fine."
Raph stopped, he glared at Leo, "That call was 4 hours ago," he hissed.
"Oh…" Leo chuckled nervously.
April stood up, "Raph, just let Mikey be! He just wanted to go out and have fun," assured April as she placed a hand on his shoulder.
Raph sighed, he looked down to see a text message from Tess, "Hm," he questioned as he read the message out loud.
sorry can't call rn! mikey fell asleep & the rest of us r training. he's staying the night here btw so don't worry. he'll be fine. don't question anything…bye!*
"That's so reassuring," muttered Raph sarcastically as April and Donnie leaned over him to see the message.
"See," chirped an oblivious Leo from his seat, "He's fine! He's just takin' a nap!"
"I don't know…my older brotherly senses are tingling. This message is suspicious," groaned Raph as he rubbed his head.
Donnie rolled his eyes, "I am not going to argue whether or not Micheal is okay. He is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. Me, well I am too tired for this, my mind and body are exhausted. See you tomorrow, I am going to sleep."
"And by sleep you mean doing random stuff on your phone 'till mornin'," teased Leo, Donnie gave him the finger as he walked away.
"Raph, Mikey isn't a baby. He's a ninja. He can handle himself. Plus, Morales is with him. He'll keep him safe," stated April.
"You're right…he's safe. He's safe and with safe people. The Heroes will keep him safe, " Raph assured himself.
