Chibi-Usa! Ch.17

"Guarding time and being keeper of the door were my duties, but I also took a great deal of pride in them."

'King Endymion, I can see your face so clearly.'

"Do not be sad, My King. This is as it should be."

'I've never seen your cloak this close up before. Such a beautiful lavender. Like the color of a sunrise.'

"My King…" whimpered Pluto as her eyes teared up, "I failed you. I wasn't able to protect Small Lady."

Endymion gasped.

"Please forgive me," cried Pluto.

Pluto choked as she held up a key, "Small Lady…" she grunted, when suddenly her hand fell to the ground, cold.

Chibi-Usa's eyes shook in disbelief and grief, "N…No…"

"P-Puu…" mumbled Mikey, his hand lifted above Pluto's nose, he gasped, "No breath!"

"No! Open your eyes, Pluto," exclaimed Usagi as her eyes bawled.

"U-Usagi," mumbled Ami as her princess cried.

Minako's hold on Mikey tightened as Mikey silently sobbed into her shoulder.

"She's gone," sighed Endymion as he ran a hand through his hair.

"B-But she saved us! Why did she need to die," he yelped, looking into Minako's eyes.

Minako sighed sadly, also becoming teary, "I don't know, Mikey. I don't know…"

"It was because of the rules…" muttered Endymion, "They needed to be followed. Even if they're cruel."

"Well, that's stupid," exclaimed Makoto, Rei placed a calming hand on her shoulder.

"I can't believe she's dead…" said Rei, in a hushed tone, "Everything happened so fast."

"I…it's all my fault," whimpered Usagi.

Rei turned her head towards Usagi, "No it's not. It's theirs," she stated as she sideyed the villains.

Chibi-Usa's breath hitched as she stared deeply into the ground.

'I am Black Lady,' she thought to herself.

'I have no friends, no family, and no one cares about me. I am all alone.'

Chibi gasped as she saw the key that fell from Pluto's hand.

'I remember…that's the key I stole from her to travel to the past.'

'These memories of us…me and her…why are they all flooding back to me, all of a sudden? What's going on? Why can't I stop crying?'

Chibi's eyes flooded with tears, 'Pluto!'

"PLUTO!" Chibi-Usa yelled in agony and despair.

Causing the others to gasp and turn to look at her.

Suddenly, Chibi-Usa's black crystal earrings shattered. When…she summoned a silver crystal. A powerful light, bright light, consoled everything around her, including herself.

"Huh," asked Demande as time was unfrozen.

"Oh? What light is this," asked Wiseman.

Usagi gasped, "Chibi-Usa," she yelled hopefully.

"Oh my…" started Endymion when he saw his daughter transform into a sailor uniform.

Chibi gasped as she looked at herself, her more childlike self.

"Guys…" muttered a breathless Mikey.

"She unlocked her power," said a relieved and proud Endymion.

"She can transform now," chirped Diana.

"Chibi-Usa harnessed the power of the Silver Crystal,"nodded Mamoru.

Mikey gasped, "Huh? Mamo? How come you don't look evil anymore?"

Mamoru flinched, "I…I was controlled. Not anymore."

Mikey hummed, "Because Chibi-Usa was controlling you and now…" he trailed off, "It would seem a new guardian is born," he said giggling.

"One to carry the legacy of Sailor Moon," added Mamoru.

"Chibi-Usa…" cried Usagi, happily.

"She looks so sweet," said Mikey, "As if she was never evil…"

"Uncle! Usagi?! AND Daddy," Chibi chirped.

She looked down, "Pluto…" she ran over, "Look Pluto! I did it! Look at me! I was finally able to transform!"

"Chibi…" mumbled Usagi.

"See, Pluto," ignored Chibi, "I'm just like you now!"

Chibi pouted as tears built up in her eyes, "Come on, Pluto. Why won't you open your eyes," she asked as she fell to her knees, "After all these years I can finally transform. But what's the point if you're not here to see it? Please, wake up!"

"I'm so sorry," whispered Usagi, as she too cried again, "I failed…"

"Usagi," muttered Mikey worriedly, when he looked up, "It's not over," he simply stated.

"Yeah…what are we gonna do about Nemesis," asked Makoto.

"I…" started Usagi when she was interrupted…
