Chp. 18 'Mikey Learns How To Shoot Fire From His Hands'

Chibi-Usa's light pink hair framed her pouty face as tears built up in her shaken red eyes, "Come on, Pluto. Why won't you open your eyes," her voice quivering as she fell to her knees.

Endymion shook his head in disbelief and overall sadness. The ghostly king placed a see though hand on his daughter's back, "She would've been so proud," he whispered.

"I don't care! After all these years I can finally transform. But what's the point if she's here to see it?!"

Endymion gasped as he pulled his hand away while Chibi-Usa loomed over the unmoving Sailor Pluto.

"Okite kudasai!" Chibi begged as she embraced her friend.

"I'm so sorry," whispered Usagi. Her blue eyes clouded with tears. "I failed…" she added while she placed her hands onto her skirt.

"Usagi," muttered Mikey worriedly. Mikey stopped himself from continuing. He wanted to comfort her but the group had bigger problems. He looked up, "It's not over," Mikey simply stated, staring into the dark sky, "not yet."

"Yep. That's definitely a problem," whispered Minako as she also looked up at the sky.

"A very large problem," sighed Mikey as he pouted. Mikey messaged his green forehead, 'Huh? When did I transform back into a turtle?' Mikey pouted, "Puu…man, I'm too young for this, I can basically feel the wrinkles forming already."

Minako giggled, her blonde hair resting messed up on top of her head. Her giggles died out as she huffed while trying to fix her hair, groaning. She muttered: "But for real, this is a problem."

"Yeah…what are we gonna do about Nemesis," asked Makoto, everyone turned to look at Usagi.

Mikey raised the muscle where his eyebrows would be, "Well? Boss?"

"I…" started Usagi when she was suddenly interrupted by the petrifying voice of the plant; Nemesis.

"You were given the greatest power in the universe and you threw it away," he spoke, "I had such high hopes for you, Black Lady. What a waste!"

Chibi-Usa whimpered in response, "No…"

Mikey gritted his teeth before he shouted: "You…how can you just…manipulate the heart of this young lady?! She's a child!"

"Yes, be she did have a choice to join me. That decision was on her, not me," Nemesis countered.

Mikey's eye twitched, "You peace of-" Mikey stoped talking when he felt Usagi turn abundantly. "Usagi?"

She raised her fist, the one containing her crystal, "Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!"

Mikey's eyes widened, the sudden flash of light nearly blinded him.

Usagi stood up in her sailor form, "You are going to pay for what you've done to Chibi-Usa!"

"Don't forget Puu," Mikey shouted.

Usagi nodded seriously, "Pluto's death, as well! For I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and for justice!" Usagi touched her brooch gently, "I am Sailor Moon!" Usagi twirled around and did her signature pose, "And now, in the name of the Moon, I shall punish you!"

Chibi-Usa gasped her eyes shined in awe, "Mama…" for the young princess saw her mother in Usagi.

Usagi pointed her broken rod at Nemesis, "Moon Princess Halation!" A bright yellow light shot out of the rod and hit the planet.

Nemesis chuckled evily, "You managed to repel my darkness? What marvelous power!"

Usagi stood her ground, "So? What of it?"

"Do you really like that YOU alone could stand a chance against me?"

"She isn't alone!" Mikey stated as he took his place next to Usagi, "And no one else is going to die on our watch!" Mikey summed his power and his flames collided with Usagi's beam of light, causing Nemesis to groan. "Earth, in every timeline, is my home!"

"Mikey…"

"Sun Crystal Power, Make Up!" As Mikey transformed his games grew stronger.

Usagi grinned sheepishly, "It's our planet," she added, her voice slightly strained because of the immense power she was inflecting, "And none of us Senshi will let you keep doing what you want with it!"

"This planet isn't yours, wise guy! Not if I, a member of the mad dogs, has anything to say about it," Mikey exclaimed, his eyes changed form reddish-brown to lavender.

Chibi-Usa stood behind the two, 'Daddy was right…' she thought to herself. 'Those two…Sailor Moon really does have a strong heart.'

Nemesis laughed, "You puny humans!" He yelled as he shot out some black vines filled with dark energy.

Mikey gasped, his eyes filled with fire, "Oh no you don't," Mikey yelled as he let go of his own power beam so that he could disintegrate the vines with his flames; leaving Usagi alone to hold onto her light.

"Sorry 'Sagi! Gotta protect as much of the Earth as I can," Mikey said, while dodging a farther large black vine, "Oh dear…that's large-"

Usagi turned and gasped when she felt Mamoru creep behind her and hold the rod together. She didn't notice that her boyfriend was no longer under control. "Mamo-chan! You're back!"

Mamoru grunted when one of Mikey's flames burned his foot.

"Sorry dude! Still tryin' to learn how to control these flames!"

Mamoru ignored him and sighed, "I'm so sorry, Usagi."

Usagi looked into his eyes, "Mhm. It's okay!"

"I want to make it up to you," Mamoru muttered, a green arua surrounded his body.

"Mamo?"

"Holy…woah! Your rod…Usagi, Mamo, your combined powers are repairing it," Mikey said in awe as he blasted another vine.

"Eh," Usagi looked, and true to his word, the rod was indeed repaired itself, "We did that?"

Mamoru nodded fondly, "Love can accomplish many things…"

The mention of love shook Minako out of her trance, "Princess! Prince!"

At the sound of Minako's sudden yelp, the rest of the senshi started to regain their composure.

"V! A little help please," Mikey yelled. He was tied up with dark energy vines around his waist. Binding his arms to his sides.

"Lets go," Minako stated.

"Right," responded the other sailors.

Mikey had to avert his eyes, a flash of blue, green, red, and yellow light overrode their surroundings. The girls had transformed.

"Shine Aqua Illusion!"

"Burning…Mandala!"

"Sparkling Wide Pressure!"

"Venus Love Me Chain!"

Their combination of power not only freed Mikey, but helped strengthen Usagi's rod power. Nemesis growled in response to the attack.

"Wanna join back in the game," Minako asked loudly.

"Put me in coach," Mikey replied as he added his own powers to the beam.

"Gah," shouted Nemesis, the planet roared.

'So this is what it means to be a Sailor Guardian?' Chibi-Usa asked herself. 'They fight for their friends, they fight for this planet. They're willing to give their lives to protect what's most important to them! Could I really do that one day? Will I be able to stand strong, too?'

Mikey, as if reading her thoughts, smiled encouragingly and then winked at her, then he turned his focus back to the main subject, "Ready to die, wise guy?!"

Chibi-Usa yelped when Mikey radiated gold aura, his fire backed gold and stronger. Nemesis howled loudly.

"Stop joking around," scolded Usagi as she too straightened her power hold.

Nemesis screamed and a white light that radiated the whole planet was shot out. Nemesis was gone…or was he?

Mamoru, Usagi, Mikey, Minako, Makoto, Ami, and Rei all panted.

Usagi surveyed the area with her eyes when suddenly a bright purple ball of light formed infront of them. 'Demande?!' Usagi yelped in her head. Said Prince was standing infront of her. His third eye destroying the small power of Nemeiss that tried to escape and destroy .

"Prince Demande," Mikey shrieked, his hand resting on his weapon.

"Your tricks might fool them, but they won't fool me! I know you," shouted Demande and Nemeis died, did he really, out.

The air lingered with darkness, Demande feel to his knees, "I couldn't let him take what belonged to me," he looked up at Sailor Moon, "My Queen is mine. She's MINE to kill…"

"Now wait just a minute-" Mikey started when suddenly black and purple fog surrounded the senshi, along with the cats and Endymion. "H-How?! We killed him," Mikey yelled.

"Malefic Balck Crystal entry levels are spiking off the charts," Ami stated.

Usagi shivered, "We're trapped in distorted space! The Malefic Balck Crystal is surrounding us on all sides!"

"All it would take is the slightest shirt of my mass," Nemeiss started, "and I could smash you all to pieces!"

"Wise guy…you've really outdone yourself," Mikey murmured.

Usagi gasped, "The distortion! It's getting worse and worse!"

Mikey tilted his head and nodded in understanding. He didn't really understand but he DID know this was bad..- "Ah!"

Usagi lunged and held onto Mikey protectively as everyone fell.

"Now what," yelped Rei.

"What's happening," asked Makoto while Chibi-Usa screamed.

"The darkness," Usagi's voice was muffled by Mikey's hair, "It's sucking us in!"
