I managed a weak smile at Bellamy's words, grateful for his presence even as guilt nagged at me. I knew how much he wanted to go with Clarke and the others to find Luna. But I couldn't deny the selfish part of me that was relieved to have him by my side. I felt another wave of dizziness wash over me as I tried to focus on Bellamy's face. The room began to spin violently and I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting against the nausea rising in my throat. A pained whimper escaped me as the throbbing in my head intensified.

"Shh, it's okay," Bellamy soothed, his hand gently stroking my hair. "I'm right here. Just focus on my voice." I tried to concentrate on the sound of his words, using them as an anchor against the swirling darkness threatening to pull me under. But the pain was overwhelming, making it hard to focus on anything else.

"Bellamy..." I managed to gasp out, my voice barely audible.

"I'm here, Songbird," he murmured. "What do you need?" I struggled to form the words.

"So… tired." Bellamy's grip on my hand tightened at my words. I could hear the fear in his voice as he spoke.

"I know you're tired, Songbird, but you need to stay awake. Remember what Clarke said - it's dangerous for you to fall asleep right now." I whimpered softly, fighting against the exhaustion weighing me down. Every part of me longed to give in to the darkness, to escape the pain for a little while. But I knew Bellamy was right.

"Talk... to me," I slurred, desperate for something to focus on. "Keep... awake."

"Okay," Bellamy said softly. "How about I tell you about our first kiss? Do you remember that night?" I managed a tiny nod, wincing at the movement. Of course I remembered. I was shocked that he had kissed me. It was right after Charlotte had died and I went to his tent to check on him. What started out to be a concern visit turned into something more. I thought he had wanted me just as a distraction from Murphy and Charlotte. I couldn't have believe that someone like Bellamy, who was incredibly handsome and fierce and cocky, would kiss some one like me.

Bellamy's voice was soft and warm as he recounted the memory. "You came to my tent that night, after everything that happened with Charlotte. I was a mess, angry and guilt-ridden. But you... you didn't judge me or try to fix things. You just sat with me, offering silent support." I managed a weak smile, remembering how nervous I'd been to approach him that night. Bellamy continued, his thumb tracing gentle circles on the back of my hand as he spoke. "I remember looking at you in the dim light of the tent, seeing the concern in your eyes. And suddenly, all the anger and pain just... faded away.

"All I could think about was how beautiful you were, how much I wanted to kiss you." He paused, a soft chuckle escaping him. "I think I surprised both of us when I actually did it." I listened intently as Bellamy recounted our first kiss, clinging to his words as a lifeline against the pain and dizziness threatening to pull me under. His voice was soft and warm as he continued the story. "When I kissed you, it was like everything else faded away," Bellamy murmured. "All the chaos, all the fear and anger - none of it mattered in that moment. It was just you and me." I managed a weak smile, remembering the shock and elation I'd felt when Bellamy's lips first met mine. How I'd been certain it was just a momentary lapse in judgment on his part, that he'd regret it as soon as it was over.

"I thought..." I struggled to form the words, my voice barely above a whisper. "Thought... you regret… wanted… distraction." Bellamy's hand tightened around mine.

"Oh, Songbird," Bellamy murmured, his voice filled with tenderness. "I could never regret that kiss. It wasn't just a distraction. It was the moment everything changed for me." He paused, his thumb gently caressing my cheek. "I know I didn't always show it well in the beginning. I was scared of how strongly I felt for you, scared of letting anyone get too close. But that kiss... it opened something in me I didn't even know was there." I felt tears prick at my eyes, moved by Bellamy's words despite the pain throbbing in my skull. I wanted to tell him how much his words meant to me, how I had felt the same way, but forming coherent sentences was still beyond my capabilities.

Instead, I squeezed his hand weakly, hoping he understood. Bellamy seemed to sense what I couldn't say. Bellamy leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. "I love you, Songbird," he murmured. "More than I ever thought possible. And I need you to keep fighting, okay? Stay with me." I nodded minutely, wincing at the movement.

"Love... you... too," I managed to whisper. Bellamy continued talking softly, recounting memories of our time together. His soothing voice washed over me, giving me something to focus on besides the pain. But as the hours wore on, staying awake became more and more difficult. My eyelids felt impossibly heavy, and I found myself drifting in and out of consciousness despite my best efforts.

"Songbird, you need to stay awake," Bellamy urged, gently squeezing my hand. "Tell me about your favorite song. Can you do that for me?" I struggled to focus on Bellamy's question, fighting against the fog in my mind. I couldn't recall the song as everything felt hazy and distant. As I tried to remember, exhaustion was finally winning me over and my eyes grew incredibly heavy, my hand becoming limp in his own hand. "Juliett? Juliett, stay with me!" Bellamy's voice grew more urgent as he felt my hand go limp in his. "Open your eyes, Songbird.

"Please." I wanted to respond, to reassure him that I was still here, but my body felt impossibly heavy. The pain in my head had faded to a dull throb, replaced by an overwhelming sense of exhaustion. Despite Bellamy's pleas, I couldn't fight the darkness pulling me under any longer. I heard the static on the radio as Bellamy tried to contact her. "Clarke!" Bellamy called out frantically. "Something's wrong! She's not responding!" I could hear the panic in his voice, but it sounded far away, as if coming from underwater.

The last thing I was aware of was Bellamy's hand tightening around mine before everything faded to black. I drifted in a hazy void, untethered from pain or consciousness. Time had no meaning in this place between worlds. Occasionally, I would catch snippets of sound - Bellamy's voice pleading with me to wake up, Clarke's clinical tones through the radio, Raven's worried questions. But they felt distant, unreal. Memories floated through my mind like fragments of a dream. Singing in the corridors of the Ark, feeling truly free for the first time. The exhilaration of stepping onto Earth, breathing real air. Bellamy's arms around me, his lips on mine. Octavia's fierce hugs and teasing smiles.

The pain and fear as Prym tortured me, and the relief of being rescued. Through it all, one constant remained - Bellamy's presence. Even in this limbo state, I could sense him nearby.

"Has the swelling gone down at all?" I had heard Clarke ask through the radio.

"No." Bellamy answered, his voice filled with panic.

"You need to find a way to reduce the swelling or…"

"Or what?" Bellamy's voice was sharp with fear.

"Or we risk permanent brain damage." I wanted to reassure them, to them I was still here, still fighting. As I drifted in and out of consciousness, I became vaguely aware of raised voices nearby. Raven's voice cut through the fog, urgent and determined.

"I have an idea," she said. "It's risky, but it might be our only chance to save her."

"What is it?" Bellamy's voice was strained with worry.

"We need to lower her body temperature," Raven explained. "Rapid cooling can help reduce brain swelling and protect against further damage. It's like putting the brain into a state of hibernation."

"How do we do that?" Clarke's voice came through the radio, crackling with static.

"We need to submerge her in ice water," Raven said. "It's called therapeutic hypothermia. I read about it in some old medical journals in the Ark's database." I heard Bellamy's sharp intake of breath.

"Are you sure about this?" Bellamy asked, his voice tight with concern. "It sounds dangerous."

"It is dangerous," Raven admitted. "But at this point, it might be our only option. The swelling in her brain isn't going down on its own. If we don't do something soon..." She trailed off, but the implication was clear. Without intervention, I might not wake up at all.

"Okay," Bellamy said after a long pause. "Let's do it. What do we need?" I felt myself being lifted, Bellamy's strong arms cradling me gently. The movement sent waves of nausea through me, but I couldn't even muster the strength to groan.

"We need to fill the decontamination shower with ice water," Raven instructed. "It's the biggest container we have that can fully submerge her. We're going to have to take her clothes off. If we pull her out with freezing clothes on her, we'll never be able to warm her back up." Even in my semi-conscious state, I could sense Bellamy's fear and determination. I felt gentle hands removing my clothes, leaving me in just my underwear. "Careful," Raven's voice cautioned. "We need to lower her in slowly to avoid shock." I felt the icy cold water envelop my body as Bellamy gently lowered me into the makeshift ice bath. The shock of it sent a jolt through my system, momentarily cutting through the fog in my brain.

I gasped involuntarily, my body instinctively trying to escape the frigid temperature.

"It's okay, Songbird." Bellamy murmured, his voice tight with worry. "I've got you. Just hold on." The cold was excruciating. The icy water enveloped me, shocking my system. Every nerve ending screamed in protest as the cold penetrated deep into my bones. I wanted to thrash, to escape the frigid torture, but my body remained frustratingly unresponsive. Bellamy's arms held me steady as he slowly lowered me further into the makeshift ice bath.

"How long does she need to stay in?" Bellamy asked, his voice tight with worry.

"At least thirty minutes," Raven replied. "Maybe longer. We need to get her core temperature down to between eighty-nine and ninety-three degrees Fahrenheit." I could feel my body starting to shiver violently as it fought against the cold. My teeth chattered uncontrollably and my muscles spasmed painfully.

"Shh, I've got you," Bellamy murmured, his hand gently stroking my cheek. The cold was excruciating, seeping into my very bones. Every instinct screamed at me to get out, to escape the icy torture. But I remained trapped in my unresponsive body, unable to even shiver properly. Bellamy's arms held me steady, his warmth the only anchor in the frigid void. "Her lips are turning blue," Bellamy said, his voice tight with fear.

"That's normal," Raven assured him. "We need to keep her core temperature down. Just a little longer." Time lost all meaning as I floated in that icy limbo. I drifted in and out of awareness, catching snippets of worried conversation around me. Bellamy's voice was a constant, murmuring reassurances and pleas for me to hold on.

"It's been forty minutes," Raven finally said. "Let's pull her out." I felt strong arms lifting me out of the icy water, my body limp and unresponsive. The air felt shockingly warm against my frigid skin as Bellamy cradled me against his chest. "We need to warm her up slowly," Raven instructed. "Wrap her in blankets and use body heat. Clothes off, now." I felt Bellamy hesitate for a second. "Skin to skin is the best way to warm her up. I'm going to get some blankets." I felt Bellamy gently lay me down on what felt like a bed. There was a rustling of fabric as he quickly stripped off his own clothes. Then his warm body was pressed against mine, enveloping me in his heat. He wrapped us both tightly in blankets, cocooning us together.

"Come on, Songbird," Bellamy murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "Come back to me." His hands moved over my frigid skin, trying to generate warmth through friction. I wanted desperately to respond, to reassure him that I was still here, still fighting. But my body remained frustratingly unresponsive. Slowly, achingly slowly, I began to feel warmth seeping back into my bones. The violent shivering gradually subsided as Bellamy's body heat seeped into me. I drifted in and out of awareness, vaguely aware of Bellamy's warmth surrounding me. His voice was a constant, murmuring reassurances and pleas for me to wake up. Gradually, sensation began to return to my body.

I could feel the softness of the blankets cocooning us, the gentle rise and fall of Bellamy's chest against mine. The pain in my head had dulled to a manageable ache. With tremendous effort, I managed to twitch my fingers against Bellamy's skin. I heard his sharp intake of breath. "Juliett?" he said urgently. "Can you hear me?" I struggled to open my eyes, my eyelids feeling impossibly heavy. After what felt like an eternity, I finally managed to crack them open. Bellamy was laying down on his back with me sprawled out on top of him, the blankets pulled tightly around us.

I blinked slowly, my vision blurry as I tried to focus on Bellamy's face. His dark eyes were filled with worry and hope as he gazed down at me.

"Songbird?" he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "Are you with me?" I tried to speak, but my throat felt raw and my tongue uncooperative. Instead, I managed a tiny nod, wincing at the movement. Relief flooded Bellamy's features. "Thank god," he breathed, pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead. "I thought I'd lost you." I swallowed hard, trying to find my voice.

"Can't... get rid of me... that easily," I rasped, the words barely audible. A choked laugh escaped Bellamy, tears shining in his eyes.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again," he murmured.

"Sorry," I whispered, my voice hoarse. "Didn't… mean…scare…" It was still an effort to try and form a complete sentence. Bellamy's arms tightened around me, his warmth enveloping me.

"Just don't do it again, okay? I can't lose you." I managed a weak smile, nuzzling closer to his chest. The steady thump of his heartbeat was comforting.

"Not… go… anywhere," I murmured. We lay there in silence for a while, Bellamy's hands gently rubbing warmth back into my skin. Gradually, I became more aware of our state of undress, my cheeks flushing slightly. "One… way… get… naked…" Bellamy let out a surprised laugh, the tension finally leaving his body.

"Only you would make jokes at a time like this, Songbird." I managed a weak smile at Bellamy's words, grateful for the momentary lightness. But exhaustion was quickly overtaking me again. My eyelids felt impossibly heavy as I struggled to keep them open.

"Tired," I mumbled, my words slurring slightly.

"I know, Songbird," Bellamy murmured, his hand gently stroking my hair. "But I need you to stay awake a little longer, okay? Raven needs to check you over first. She's been keeping an eye on you while Clarke's gone." I forced my eyes open again, fighting against the pull of sleep. As if on cue, there was a soft knock at the door.

"Bellamy? Is she awake?" Raven's voice came through.

"Yeah, she's awake," Bellamy called back. "Come in." The door opened and Raven entered, her face etched with concern and relief. She quickly made her way over to us.

"Hey Jules," Raven said softly as she approached the bed. "Good to see those eyes open again. How are you feeling?" I tried to focus on Raven's face, blinking slowly.

"Cold... tired," I managed to rasp out. Raven nodded.

"Clarke said that's to be expected. I need to check your vitals and pupils, okay?" I gave a tiny nod, wincing at the movement. Raven gently pressed her fingers to my neck, checking my pulse. Then she shone a small light in my eyes, watching my pupils react. "Pupils are equal and reactive now," she reported. "That's a good sign. The swelling seems to have gone down." She turned to Bellamy. "Clarke said to keep her awake for another hour or so, just to be safe. Then she can sleep, but wake her every couple of hours to check on her cognitive function."

"Okay," Bellamy nodded. "We can do that. Right, Songbird?" I managed a weak nod, fighting to keep my eyes open.

"Stay...awake," I mumbled. Raven gave me a gentle smile.

"You're doing great, Jules. Just hang in there a little longer." She turned back to Bellamy. "Keep her warm and try to get some fluids in her if you can. I'll be back to check on her in a bit." As Raven left, Bellamy shifted slightly, pulling the blankets more securely around us.

"How about we try to sit up a little?" Bellamy asked. "Might help you stay awake." With agonizing slowness, Bellamy helped me into a semi-reclined position against his chest. The movement sent waves of dizziness through me, but the nausea wasn't as severe as before. Bellamy helped me sit up slightly, propping my body against his chest. The movement sent a wave of dizziness through me, but it wasn't as bad as before. I leaned heavily against Bellamy, grateful for his solid warmth. "How's that?" he asked softly, his arms encircling me.

"Okay," I mumbled. "Room's... spinning less." Bellamy pressed a gentle kiss to my temple.

"That's good. Think you can try some water?" I nodded minutely. Bellamy reached for a water bottle nearby, bringing it to my lips. I took a few small sips, the cool liquid soothing my parched throat. "Easy," Bellamy murmured as I tried to drink more. "Not too fast." We sat in silence for a while, Bellamy occasionally offering me small sips of water. As we sat there, my mind slowly began to clear. The fog of confusion and pain lifted bit by bit, allowing me to process what had happened. I remembered the fight with Emerson, the searing pain as he slammed my head against the floor. The terrifying sensation of losing consciousness despite Bellamy's pleas. And then... nothing. Just darkness and disjointed fragments.

"How long..." I started to ask, my voice still raspy.

"How long were you out?" Bellamy finished for me. I nodded slightly. "Almost two days," he said softly, his arms tightening around me. "You scared the hell out of me, Songbird." I swallowed hard, guilt washing over me.

"Sorry," I whispered.

"Hey, no," Bellamy said firmly. "You have nothing to be sorry for. This wasn't your fault." I nodded weakly against Bellamy's chest, still feeling guilty for putting him through such worry. We sat in silence for a while longer as I tried to gather my scattered thoughts.

"Clarke..." I mumbled. "Others... Luna?"

"They're still searching," Bellamy explained softly. "Last radio contact, they were following a lead to a coastal village. No sign of Luna yet, but they're hopeful." I nodded slightly, processing this information.

"Should be... with them," I murmured. Bellamy's arms tightened around me.

"I'm exactly where I need to be," he said firmly. "The others can handle the search. You're my priority right now." Warmth bloomed in my chest at his words. I nuzzled closer to him, comforted by his steady heartbeat.

"Love you," I whispered.

"I love you too, Songbird," Bellamy murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of my head. "More than anything." We sat in comfortable silence for a while, Bellamy's warmth seeping into my still-chilled body. Despite my best efforts to stay awake, I could feel exhaustion tugging at me again. My eyelids grew heavy as I fought against the pull of sleep. "Stay with me, Juliett," Bellamy said softly, noticing my struggle. "Just a little longer, okay?" I nodded weakly, forcing my eyes open.

"Music… of… the… night…"

"Come again?"

"Fav… song… you… asked…"

"Music of the Night," Bellamy repeated softly. "From Phantom of the Opera, right?" I managed a small nod, impressed that he recognized it. "I remember you singing it once, back on the Ark," Bellamy continued, his voice warm with the memory. "I was doing a guard rotation and I heard this beautiful voice echoing through the corridors. I followed it and found you singing to yourself while you were working. You were so lost in the music, you didn't even notice me standing there." I felt a faint blush warm my cheeks.

"Em…barr…assing," I mumbled. Bellamy chuckled softly.

"Not at all. It was mesmerizing. I stood there listening until you finished the song. I wanted to say something, to tell you how amazing you sounded, but I was too nervous. So I just slipped away before you saw me." I smiled faintly at Bellamy's words, touched by the memory.

"Wish... you... said… something," Bellamy pressed a gentle kiss to my temple.

"Me too. But I was too intimidated by the beautiful girl with the voice of an angel. I didn't think someone like you would give me the time of day." I managed a soft snort at that.

"You… intimidate… me… thought… you… out… my… league." Bellamy let out a soft chuckle at my words.

"Me? Out of your league? Songbird, you've got it all backwards." His hand gently stroked my hair as he spoke. "You were this incredible, talented, beautiful girl. I was just some cadet trying to keep his head down and take care of his sister. I never thought I had a chance with you." I smiled faintly, nuzzling closer to Bellamy's warmth.

"Guess... we... idiots," I mumbled.

"Yeah, I guess we were," Bellamy agreed softly. "But we figured it out eventually." We lapsed into comfortable silence for a while, Bellamy's steady heartbeat lulling me into a state of calm. But as the minutes ticked by, I could feel exhaustion tugging at me more insistently. My eyelids grew impossibly heavy.

"Bell..." I murmured, my voice heavy with fatigue. "Can't... awake..." Bellamy shifted slightly, peering down at my face.

"Okay, Songbird. I think it's been long enough. You can sleep now." Relief washed over me at his words. I let my eyes drift closed as Bellamy gently lowered us back down onto the bed. He pulled the blankets snugly around us, cocooning me in warmth. "I'll wake you in a couple hours to check on you," Bellamy said softly. "Just rest now." I managed a tiny nod against his chest. As sleep began to pull me under, I felt Bellamy press a tender kiss to my forehead.

"I love you, Juliett," he whispered. "Sleep well, my beautiful songbird." I drifted in and out of sleep, vaguely aware of Bellamy gently waking me every few hours to check on me. Each time, he would ask me simple questions - my name, where we were, what day it was. Though groggy, I managed to answer correctly each time before slipping back into slumber. When I finally woke fully, sunlight was streaming through the small window. I blinked slowly, taking stock of my surroundings. The pounding in my head had subsided to a dull ache, and the room stayed blessedly still when I moved. Bellamy was still wrapped around me, his steady breathing indicating he was asleep. I shifted slightly, wincing at the soreness in my muscles.

The movement caused Bellamy to stir. His arms tightened around me as his eyes fluttered open.

"Songbird?" he murmured.

"Hey," I whispered, my voice still a bit hoarse. Bellamy's eyes widened as he fully woke up, quickly assessing me.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, his hand coming up to gently cup my cheek.

"Better," I replied. "Head doesn't hurt as much. Room's not spinning anymore." Relief flooded Bellamy's features at me using complete sentences.

"Thank god," he breathed, pressing his forehead to mine. "You had me so worried, Juliett."

"I'm sorry," I murmured, nuzzling closer to him. "Didn't mean to scare you."

"It's not your fault," Bellamy said firmly. "I'm just glad you're okay." He pulled back slightly to look at me. "Think you can sit up? We should try to get some food and water in you." I nodded. With Bellamy's help, I slowly sat up, the room tilting only slightly as I moved. He propped some pillows behind me before wrapping a blanket around my shoulders. I realized I was still naked and blushed slightly.

"Um, clothes?" I asked sheepishly. Bellamy chuckled softly. "Right, sorry." He passed his shirt and I pulled it over my head. It fell way past my hips. The simple act of pulling on the shirt left me winded and shaky. After Bellamy had slipped his pants back on, he helped me settle back against the pillows.

"I'll go get you some food and water," he said, pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead. As Bellamy moved to leave, I caught his hand.

"Wait," I said softly. He paused, looking at me questioningly. "Thank you," I whispered. "For taking care of me. For not giving up on me." Bellamy's expression softened. He sat back down on the edge of the bed, taking my hand in both of his.

"I'll never give up on you, Songbird," he said earnestly. "You're everything to me." I felt tears prick at my eyes, overwhelmed by the love and devotion in his gaze. Bellamy leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to my lips. It was soft and sweet, conveying all the words left unsaid between us. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against mine. "I love you, Juliett," he murmured. "More than anything in this chaotic world." Smiling at me once more, he got up and left the private medical room that we were in, closing the door behind him. Sighing heavily, I slowly swung my legs over the edge of the bed and tried to stand up, needing to stretch my tight muscles.

As I attempted to stand, my legs trembled beneath me, weak from days of disuse. I gripped the edge of the bed tightly, willing my body to cooperate. Slowly, I managed to push myself to my feet. The room swayed slightly, but I remained upright. Taking a deep breath, I took a tentative step forward. My muscles protested the movement, but I forced myself to keep going. I made my way to the small window, leaning against the wall for support. I closed my eyes and basked in the warm sunlight streaming in. I was so focused on the warmth that I didn't hear the door opening and closing again. "Juliett!"

Bellamy's voice was sharp with concern. "What are you doing?" I turned to look at him, pressing my back against the wall for support.

"I just needed to stretch. I was getting too stiff." I couldn't miss the heat in Bellamy's gaze as he set the tray of food down on the side table, slowly running his eyes down my body and stopping just at the hem of the shirt. Bellamy's shirt was massive on me, falling just past my pelvis. I hadn't thrown on pants yet. Bellamy's eyes darkened as they roamed over my exposed legs. He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"You shouldn't be up yet," he said, his voice low and husky. "You're still recovering." I bit my lip, suddenly very aware of my state of undress. The air between us crackled with tension.

"I feel better," I murmured. "I'm not dizzy. The pounding and pressure is almost gone. Just a little stiff." Bellamy moved towards me slowly, like a predator stalking its prey. When he reached me, he placed his hands on either side of me against the wall, caging me in.

"Is that so?" he breathed, his face inches from mine. I nodded, my breath catching in my throat. Bellamy leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear.

"I can think of a few ways to help with that stiffness." I shivered as Bellamy's breath ghosted over my skin. My heart raced as he pressed his body against mine, pinning me to the wall.

"Bellamy..." I breathed, torn between desire and hesitation. "Are you sure we should...?" He pulled back slightly to meet my gaze, his eyes dark with want.

"Only if you're feeling up to it, Songbird. We don't have to do anything you're not ready for." I bit my lip, considering. The lingering ache in my head had faded to a dull throb, and the room remained steady. More than anything, I craved Bellamy's touch after weeks and weeks without his touch.

"I want you," I whispered, reaching up to tangle my fingers in his hair. "Please." A low growl rumbled in Bellamy's chest as he captured my lips in bruising kiss.
