Chapter 16:
Carlos was at the courthouse, waiting to see what would happen to Chris and Sasha. Ranger was seated with his Pop, Tim, and his mom, Anna. "Case number 5892, The state vs. Chris and Sasha Manoso, murder, and attempted murder in the second degree." The court officials said. The judge looked at the file and then the evidence. "There is not enough evidence to convict them on these charges. Get more evidence. Until you do, defendants are free to go." The judge said, and then Ranger and his parents left the courthouse.
"Unbelieve," Carlos said, shaking his head.
"Now what happens?" Anna asked Carlos.
"They are free to continue wreaking havoc on Stephanie and me; that is what happens, Momma. Untold, the detectives find more evidence, and both Stephanie and I will be in danger. I am going to the hospital to tell Stephanie the bad news. I will stop at the florist and buy her some red roses. About three dozen, I hope, should do the trick." Carlos kissed his Momma on the cheek and then left.
"Now he has the right Idea: When you get in trouble, you should make it up to your wife with flowers," Anna snapped at her husband.
"I haven't gotten you flowers in. I don't know how long it has been, and you did not complain once," Tim told his wife.
Anna shook her head in disbelief.
