Chapter 17:
Carlos left and went to the hospital to see his wife. He made his way up the elevator and got to the floor his wife was on. He walked to Stephanie's room, saw Chris there, and noticed he had put something into his wife's dinner tray.
He walked down a corridor against the wall and saw his brother leave his wife's room. After Chris was gone, Carlos saw his wife's food dish. Carlos saw his wife come out of the bathroom. "Hey, Babe, please tell me you have not eaten this food yet?" Carlos asked Stephanie.
"No, batman, I was just about to, but I did not have a bite yet," Stephanie told him and then noticed the roses.
"Carlos, they are beautiful, thank you," Steph said as she approached her husband.
"Good. I am glad you like them, but I need to get this food to Rangeman. I saw Chris leave your room a few minutes ago. He put something in your tray, babe." Carlos walked up to Stephanie, wrapped his arms around her waist, kissed her, and then gave her the flowers.
Just then, there was a knock on the hospital door. Yes," Carlos told the person,
"It is Doctor Thompson and Bobby."
"It is open," Ranger said, stepping away from Stephanie for a few minutes.
Bobby and Doctor Thompson came in then. "Hey Stephanie, how are you feeling," Bobby asked
"Good. I want to get the hell out of here, please, Bobby. I want to go home, " Stephanie asked him.
"Well, your blood work is normal, so you can go home with your husband if you want to?" Doctor Thompson asked her
"Yes, most definitely," Stephanie said, smiling at her husband.
Carlos could tell that she was happy to hear that, and he was, too. He knew how much she hated hospitals. "Bobby, I saw Chris put something in Stephanie's tray of food. I want you to bag it and send it to the lab at Rangeman," Ranger told Bobby.
"Right, you're lucky you had us put a camera in Steph's room, boss, so we should have no problem finding proof that he did that. I will call the command room now and have them pull the footage. You take your wife home to the house you bought and care for her. We will keep you updated," Bobby told his poss.
How about it, babe? Do you want to go home so I can care for you?" Carlos asked her.
"Yes, please, batman, take me home," Stephanie told him. She got dressed in some clean clothes and went into the bathroom. A few minutes later, she came out dressed, and Stephanie and Carlos left the hospital and went to their house to heal and spend time together.
