Chapter 19:

Carlos left Stephanie to sleep and changed into gym clothes. He then left for the gym in the basement. He was in the gym when he heard Stephanie coming up to him. "Hey Batman, guess what? I just started my period. I should be good to go in a couple of weeks," Stephanie smiled at Carlos.

"But we still need the all-clear from Bobby or the doctor, babe. I almost lost you once. I am not going risk losing you again." Carlos told her softly as he walked up to her.

"Carlos, what if we tried to adopt a baby for now? We can always keep trying for our own baby. But we have enough room to adopt and give a home to a child who needs a home," Stephanie told him.

"I love that idea, babe. Let's go make some phone calls and check some websites," Carlos told his wife and then gave her a hug. He took her into his strong arms and kissed her deeply. The two of them walked back up the stairs, and Carlos got cleaned up. Then, the two of them walked into his office and started to look for adoption agencies.

Carlos looked at his laptop and then came up with an idea: "Babe, there is one agency that we can try. Rangeman has a cookout for the all-for-one family adoption agency. It is an agency that helps kids find homes and has an account with Rangeman. I know someone there. Let me give him a call." Carlos picked up the office phone and dialed a number, then put it on speaker.

"Ranger, it has been a while," Zack told him.

"Yeah, sorry, work has been crazy, but my wife and I are interested in adopting a child. Can you send us an application, please? We have a very big house and want to share it," Ranger told his friend.

"Yes, I will be happy to send you an application; I will send it to your email," Zack said. A few minutes later, Ranger was looking at his email address and so the application.

"Thanks, Zack. Once my wife and I complete it, we will return it to you and Zack. Thank you," Ranger told him and then hung up the phone. Carlos and Stephanie looked at the application after it was printed out.

"Wow, Carlos, they want to know everything, but I don't blame them. They have to protect the kids," Stephanie said, looking at the application. Carlos picked up a pen, and the two started filling out the big application package.
