Once in front of the emergency room doors, Lucas jumps out of the car and runs towards the reception, completely forgetting that Brooke is still inside.

Brooke : Lucas! Are you going to let me give birth here or what?

Lucas : Oh my God, sorry! Come on, I'll carry you.

Brooke : No way you're carrying me, I'm going to walk.

Lucas : But...

Brooke : Damn, Lucas...

He carefully supports her as she goes down, but he's so clumsy that he almost trips over his own feet. Brooke bites the inside of her cheek to keep from bursting out laughing, but when a contraction takes her, she has no choice: she lets out a little moan.

Lucas : Are you okay? Does it hurt? Tell me what I should do?!

Brooke : Relax cowboy, it's just a baby coming.

In the delivery room, it's chaos. Lucas paces around, going from the beeping machine to the doctor to Brooke, like a panicked puppy.

Brooke : Lucas, sit down, you're making me dizzy.

Lucas : But if I sit down, you're going to need something, and...

Brooke : LUCAS. Sit down.

He reluctantly complies, but as soon as Brooke cries out during a contraction, he jumps out of his chair.

Lucas : Brooke! Do you want water? Ice? A song?

Brooke : Yeah, sing me a lullaby, here. It'll probably relax the baby.

Lucas : Are you kidding me?

Brooke : Of course I'm kidding, cowboy! Come on, relax, you're going to make us faint before this baby comes.

Despite his obvious stress, Lucas takes Brooke's hand and whispers words of encouragement. And honestly? It helps.

After several hours of labor and a few jokes escaped between two contractions, it is finally the moment. The piercing cry of their daughter echoes in the room, and everything stops. The world, the pain, the chaos. Everything fades away. When the nurse places this fragile and warm little being on Brooke's chest, tears well up in her eyes. She can't believe it. She is there. Her daughter. Lucas approaches, his eyes shining, and caresses their baby's little head.

Lucas : She is perfect, Brooke. She is absolutely perfect.

Brooke : Welcome among us little star.

Later, after a few hours of enjoying this little miracle, Karen arrives at the hospital, her hands shaking with excitement.

Karen : Where is my granddaughter?

Lucas delicately hands her the baby, and Karen takes it with gentle, almost sacred gestures.

Karen : She is beautiful. Have you chosen a name?

Brooke : Yes, we chose Alexandra. In homage to my grandmother and also because it sounds powerful, like her.

Karen bursts into tears, hugging Alexandra.

Karen : Thank you, Brooke. Thank you for giving me this chance. You're going to be wonderful parents.

Lucas, sitting next to Brooke, stares at Alexandra with a look of determination. Brooke senses that he's about to say something important, and her heart races slightly. Karen, still sitting next to them, smiles tenderly as she watches her son, but he eventually looks up to meet Brooke's gaze. He takes a deep breath and straightens up slightly, as if he wants to face something immense.

Lucas : Mom...?

Karen : Yes, my son?

Lucas : There's something I have to tell you...well, something I have to do. You know how important Julian was to me. He was my brother, but he was much more than that. He taught me so much...about respect, about loyalty, about love. And today, as I hold Alexandra in my arms, I feel a duty to him.

Brooke looks at him, moved. Alexandra fidgets softly, as if she feels the intensity of the moment.

Lucas : Mom, I want to recognize Alexandra as my daughter. She is a gift. She is proof that love can transcend everything, even loss. And I want to pass on to her all the values that Julian would have wanted to give her.

Karen is speechless for a moment, her eyes filling with tears.

Karen : Lucas. Are you sure about what you want to do? It's a big responsibility.

Lucas : Sureer than ever. Alexandra deserves a father who is there, a father who loves her and raises her with the principles that we have always shared as a family. I want to be that man for her.

Karen : Julian would have been so proud of you, Lucas. He would have supported you one hundred percent. And you, Brooke, are already doing an incredible job as a mother. But knowing that you are united, that you are going to raise her together... it fills me with happiness.

Lucas : Alexandra will grow up surrounded by love, and she will always know the story of her father, Julian. But she will also know that she has another man ready to do anything for her.

Lucas tilts his head, and gently, he places a kiss on Brooke's forehead. Alexandra lets out a small moan in her sleep, as if she's blessing this decision.

Karen : You know, this family has been through so much. But today, looking at you two, I know that everything will be okay. Alexandra will grow up with everything she needs: love, strength, and lots of laughter.

Lucas : She's our future, Mom. And she'll have the best.

As the Texas sun begins to set, bathing the room in a golden light, Brooke feels a deep peace settle in her heart. Her daughter is loved. Their family is united. And with Lucas by her side, she knows they can face anything.
