Chapter 1 The Gathering

Vyolet pouted as she was considered suspended from X-Men activity. She lays in bed doing nothing.

Ugh so unfair.

She is twenty dang it.

The professor is still treating her like a kid again. He knows that she can take care of herself. Sadly, just because of one mishap of her powers doesn't mean she cannot be in control.

Although…

She got up and held her Iron Man teddy bear as she recalled that dream. It looks like something out of sci-fi movies and TV shows.

She tries to recall something.

"He…lp…m…Hel…p…m…e…Please Help me!"

Purring loudly in her room. She saw her pet, Stripe come forward. She smiled softly and petted his head which closed his eyes in comfort.

She can always count on Stripe.

She decided to turn on her TV in her room.

"Good evening. This is Snapper Carr reporting." A reporter dressed in a grey jacket coat and black shirt reporting live.

"It's been 6 months since Senator J. Allen Carter's Dramatic disarmament plan was ratified."

Superman helping and watching scientists remove all nuclear weapons and dismantle them.

"While Superman has been working around the clock To disarm hundreds of deadly warheads, Public support for the plan has swelled."

People in the crowd were cheering and loved the decisions. They even pull up sighs for 'World Peace' and 'Superman is the man.'

"Superman rocks!" One beanie hat guy gave a thumbs up at the camera.

Carr added another video after he added his comment.

"Yet some remain skeptical."

Senator Robert Kelly is a politician who takes a decidedly anti-mutant stance, viewing them as a threat to humanity. Spoken in serious deduction, "I am shocked that there is not only a problem of dealing with our human neighbors of the nation, but you've forgotten that this idea is nothing more than weakening us humans to defend ourselves. Removing nuclear weapons is what kept our country safe. From inside and outside of our homeland. Not just aliens but we considered our threat here on earth. Mutants could use this to rise against humanity. I say what they are doing is ludicrously itself! That is why, we are demanding more sentinels to protect us from our public enemies in America!"

Human protesters cheered and waved up their signs saying, 'Go human aliens.' Or mutants are God's mistakes.'

Carr who watched Kelly's speech ended. He had nothing against mutants and aliens shaking his head in disappointment but added a video of the opinion of another superhero.

Carr is holding a microphone to speak with the Flash. "Hey, the big guy's heart's In the right place, but give me a break."

"I'm the fastest man alive And even I can't be in 5 places at once."

Carr: "Still, with more missiles being dismantled every day, Most of us will sleep better Knowing that Superman is watching over us."

Vyolet gapped in shock.

They are dismantling the nuclear missiles. On one hand that is a good thing, but bad for mutants. This would motivate Kelly to be president in no time by building more sentinels against mutants everywhere. It was bad enough that they passed a law to register mutants so that they could find them and capture them in the dead of night.

Vyolet has a bad feeling, but she prays that this won't create a new open war. A war where no one wins it.

Vyolet sighed and decided she should get some sleep. Might as well take advantage of this 'grounded' while she can. Once this is over, she will go back to patrolling at night and less sleep coming up soon.

As the night grew quiet everyone was sleeping.

Stripe opened his glowing eyes and lifted up his head. He jumped off her bed, went to her window, and stared at the stars. One of the brightest stars seems to be coming down. Something is falling from the skies.

Stripe growled as he eyed the window view. Something is coming.

And this will not be just human problems anymore.

In the city of Bayville, people were walking and enjoying their night out of town. That is until that 'fallen' star crashed and landed in the street.

KA-BOOM!

The residents of Bayville began to surrounding the asteroid in curiosity. Thinking it was nothing more than a harmless sort of space rock.

Everyone was startled when a long, pointed, white-skinned claw suddenly exploded out of the meteor, revealing an ugly, three-legged, thirty-foot-tall extraterrestrial.

Without any warning, the alien began to shoot everything in its path.

People started screaming as the aliens were attacking their city.

They even called MRD to deal with it, but nothing seemed to be working against it. They are making a warzone as they start firing their guns and blasting them with everything they have.

Wearing the same uniform as the other soldiers, he was a tall, robust man. The three slash marks that ran down the left side of his face and across the bridge of his nose were his most distinctive features, but he also had a bald head and a short beard.

"Colonel Moss!" A lieutenant came forward and saluted his commander.

"Prepare for the airline!" He ordered as they needed to take down the aliens. "Send our fighters to full attack."

Colonel sneered at the aliens. "Damn you Superman." He blames him for weakening their planet. Now it is up to him to save humanity.

Whatever it takes.

Xavier School for gifted

Vyolet was sleeping the night away.

Yet it would appear a message came again. This time more mutual understanding.

His ship was going way too fast as he entered the atmosphere, but that was of little concern.

He had to hurry.

He had to warn the people of the third planet that the Invaders were coming. That they would destroy everything, just like they destroyed his people and home world.

He landed his ship, ungracefully, in a desert near an army base, he transformed his appearance to seem less threatening to the species that overran this planet.

"What the hell is that?" a human soldier said pointing a weapon at him.

"Please, I mean no harm," he tried to explain. "I'm here to warn," he stopped speaking once he read the soldier's mind, "No."

He was already too late.

The human soldier morphed into one of the Invaders and shot the weapon at him.

He collapsed to the ground in pain from the bullet wound. Slowly he lifted his head to look at Vyolet who was watching the scene with horror.

"Please…help," the green man said looking into her eyes. Vyolet wanted to reach out to him and lend him a helping hand, but a white flash blinded the scene.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

A red alert was activated in the school.

Vyolet was startled awake.

She heard footsteps running.

She opened the door and she saw her teammates already suited up and rushing to save their city.

"X-MEN, WE HAVE SPOTTED ALIEN INVASION ATTACKING BAYVILLE. AS WE MUST PROTECT BOTH HUMANS AND MUTANTS. GOD SPEED X-MEN."

Professor X announces his X-men to fight.

Vyolet quickly got her uniform and was about to join her teammates, but it was a change of plan.

"Help us," the alien's voice whispered in her mind, "Please, help us."

As soon as the alien finished speaking, Vyolet's head began to fill with pictures. At the same army facility that she was scheduled to enter, the pictures depicted a group of Invaders engaged in combat with Superman and Batman, the vigilante figure she knew.

"Sorry X-Men," Vyolet decided someone else needed her help. "But I need to help out that person."

Stripe growled as he wanted to come with her, but Vyolet apologetically said, "I can't take you with me. I need you to protect the students here. Can you do that for me?"

Stripe looked at her and then licked her cheeks.

Yeah, he can.

Vyolet opened her window flew out of the mansion and went to help them.

After all, that is what she was trained to do.

….

Batman is not having a good night.

First, it was the weird aliens who disguised themselves as scientists and were planning to invade their planet. Superman helped the senator to dismantle their missiles and now aliens are coming to Earth to invade. And this J'onn J'onnz was held captive because they did not want them to be warned by him.

'Something doesn't add up,' Batman thought as he narrowed his eyes. The blast made him grunt as he was being attacked by their jets.

About thirty jets that resembled aliens were flying in their direction. The heroes swerved as the planes began to fire at them. Batman flew down a restricted corridor in an attempt to shake off the pursuers. Superman flew in the direction of the jets and used his heat ray to blast them.

One aircraft was able to blast Superman in the direction of the slope just as he was ready to shoot again. Just as Batman was being fired upon by the jets, Superman stumbled to his feet.

Most of them exploded when Batman outmaneuvered the alien through a narrow path. But when one did hit the Batwing, his success was short-lived. The Batwing began to plummet downward.

Batman made an unsuccessful attempt to reclaim control. As they were to crash, the plane was stopped.

Batman saw his batwing covered in green light. "What happened?" He questioned mostly to himself.

"Help has arrived," J'onn said, raising his head. Batman followed his eyes and noticed that Green Lantern was using his power ring to hover over them.

Abruptly, a blaster approached him, narrowly missing him. Green Lantern observed two aircraft flying in his direction when he looked up. Then he caught a glimpse of a hawk's shadow. Her mace crackled with lightning as he turned to see Hawkgirl flying toward the planes. She gave a warrior cry as she charged against the jets.

Hawkgirl destroyed the jets with a single blow. Hawkgirl flew toward the other planes, and the jets exploded.

"Hawkgirl?" Surprised as Batman said. "What's she doing here?"

Green Lantern had positioned the Batwing close to the cliff, but J'onn abruptly phased through it and soared in Hawkgirl's direction. They were later followed by Green Lantern and Superman.

"Sorry, I was late," remarked Green Lantern. "There was an uprising near Rigel Nine."

The jets were then charged by the four heroes. Superman snatched one of the jets and tossed it in the direction of the other aircraft while Green Lantern blasted them with his ring. As J'onn became intangible, Hawkgirl used her mace to crush the jets, causing the blasts to pass past him and toward the other jet.

Batman merely observed from the edge of the precipice. A plane was descending toward him when he looked up abruptly. The jet exploded on the ground, and he leaped away. He shielded himself from the aftershock with his cape.

As Hawkgirl approached one of the planes, one of them abruptly fired behind her. The blaster struck the slope, but Hawkgirl was able to avoid it. When Hawkgirl was trapped in the blast, she let out a yelp.

She landed on the mountainside's narrow ledge. With a feeble shove, she noticed a jet approaching. Out of nowhere, a woman appeared wearing blue underwear with white stars on them, a huge golden belt, and a scarlet, strapless bustier with two gold W's. She had on a gold tiara, silver bracelets, and crimson boots. A gold lasso materialized in front of Hawkgirl on her belt.

She responded, "Allow me," as she turned to face the jet.

She used her bracelets to block the jet's shots as they came at her. One of the blasters returned to strike the jet. Before it could get to them, the jet exploded.

Green Lantern shouted, "Four more headed our way!"

Four more jets are heading their way as they start firing more aggressively. But the sound of magnetic movement as they started to lose control of the jets. The black-haired woman looked as she saw a purple-haired woman dressed in a dark royal purple jumpsuit, high boots, gold X-shaped platelet going around her chest area. With a black jacket vest reaching down her bottom, fingerless golden gloves, and a black belt with the X-men buckled. She gave a half-smirk as she brought up four jets to form around her in a circle then tore their metals apart as they exploded all around.

The jets began descending in their direction. The three were immediately hit by Green Lantern's fire, which surrounded them in a green dome. The jets burst when they struck the dome. The three were uninjured when the smoke cleared.

"Who're the rookies?" As the dome disappeared, Green Lantern questioned Superman.

"I'm not sure," Superman said, tossing aside the jet he was carrying.

Hawkgirl murmured, "Thanks," as the two visitors assisted her in standing up. Then, with surprise, she turned to face Solenoid. "You're one of the X-Men, aren't you?"

Hawkgirl heard all about them. They are a team of mutant superheroes, who fought for the good of mutants everywhere and even saved humans despite bad publicity by propaganda who hated mutants as they're the next stage of human evolution for survival.

"I'm Solenoid, nice to meet you." Solenoid gave a hand to greet Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl has been on sightings through every TV and news, but the professor wasn't sure if she is a mutant since he couldn't get a read on Hawkgirl who showed up a year ago.

Hawkgirl smiled and shook her hand. "Hawkgirl."

Before more greetings could continue, Green Lantern interrupted as he said, "We have no time for this. The world is at stake."

After that, the three flew after J'onn, Green Lantern, and Superman. A huge piece of metal was being carried by a red blur beneath them.

The Flash showed up with a piece of the Batwing's wing on the cliff where Batman is.

"Hey Bats, I think you dropped this," Flash said, smirking at Batman.

Flash gawked at the newcomer as Superman and the tiara-wearing woman touched down next to them.

"Woah!" As he gave Batman the piece, Flash stated. "Where have you been all my life?"

"Themyscira," was her straightforward response. Flash only gazed at her, perplexed. Solenoid looked confused at her answer. Themyscira? What place is that? She got her answer right off the bat.

Hawkgirl responded, "The home of the Amazons," as she and the others touched down. "I always thought it was merely a legend."

The woman answered, "I assure you; it is real as the ground on which we stand. I am Diana, Princess of the Amazons."

Princess of the Amazons?

Woah, wonder if her parents know about this?

But then again, Solenoid was meant to have her X-Men activities suspended. So, it is better not to judge her for wanting to save the world.

"Pinch me, I must be dreaming," commented Flash. Superman abruptly reminded Flash to keep quiet.

"Themyscira is protected by the gods," Diana added further. "But I could not idly stand by while the rest of the world was in danger."

Superman remarked, "It was lucky that you showed up when you did."

When J'onn answered, "No, not luck," everyone turned to stare at him. "I telepathically summoned them."

Solenoid started, "Then tell us, why have you brought us together?" She needs to know. They need to know why he gathered them here to help him.

All eyes were on J'onn as they awaited his explanation.

It is time they knew who they were going against. And why does J'onn want them here?
