10 Weeks Laters:

It had been exactly 10 weeks since the events the unfolded with Chilli's health. She had made a physical recovery and had finally got her stitches removed. However, She was still mentally unwell and still had to take medication including the feral drug.

The Heeler Household:

It was morning and Bandit wakes up as he stretches his arms and yawns. He turns to Chilli and gets her to wake up. "Good Mornin' honey." Bandit said waking up Chilli. Chilli moans as she wakes up. She was starting to a lot lose weight. She was pale and very weak and most of her fur was falling from her tail. The tip of her tail was practically bald. Bandit gets up from bed and help Chilli get up as she did not have enough energy to get up on her own.

Bandit helps give Chilli a bath in the bath tub. He scrubs her with a bath sponge. Chilli eyes were dilated as she gets flashbacks of her anesthesia awareness experience. She could still remember the excruciating pain she had to go through during her operation. Bandit rinses her with some water. He scrubs her chest which had the visible scar from her heart surgery.

Later That Morning:

Bandit was watching some television while the girls were creating some drawings on the floor. Meanwhile, Chilli laying on the floor with the muzzle on her face as the feral drug was in her system. She was laying like what a normal dog would lay. She then looks at Bluey and Bingo who were drawing on the floor. She growls but tries to fight back the urge to cause harm. She sits up and scratches behind her ear with her own foot.

"Ding, Dong"

The door bell rings as Chilli gets up on all fours and barks aggressively. "Now settle down honey." Bandit said as he gets up from the couch to answer the door. He opens the door and It was Brandy who came over to help Bandit care for Chilli.

"Hey Brandy!" Bandit said greeting Brandy."

"Hey Bandit." Brandy responded walking inside.

"Aunt Brandy!" The girls said getting up to hug their Aunt.

"Hi Girls." Brandy responded.

Chilli runs on all fours greeting Brandy. "Hi Chilli!" Brandy said petting Chilli. "I noticed she already took her medicine."

"Yeah," Bandit responded.

"So, How you've doing today?"

Bandit takes a deep breath. "Well, I been doing everything that I can to help Chilli. I think she might be still getting worse mentally." Bandit explained

Well, As long as she takes her medication and gets the help that she needs that all it matters." Brandy said sitting next to Bandit.

"It's been so hard." Bandit said as he and Brandy watch Bluey and Bingo play with their mother on the floor. "Don't worry, I promise you that Chilli will be okay. And if you ever need help just let me know. I always here for you." Brandy said putting her hand on Bandit's shoulder. Bandit looks at Brandy as she smiles. "Thanks Brandy, Your a big help." Bandit said hugging Brandy.

On The Way To Mort's House

Brandy was driving Chilli to visit they're father. Chilli still had her muzzle on in case if anything happens. "So Chilli, You mind if I turn in some tunes to help you feel better?" Brandy asked Chilli.

Chilli quietly shakes her head.

"Okay Then." Brandy looks through her phone which was attached to a phone mount connected to the car vent. "Let's see. Brandy's going through her playlist. "Oh! This is a good song to play." Brandy presses the song "Closed Mouths" by Dying in Designer.

"Brandy sings to lyrics of the song. Chilli quietly listens Brandy sing. She tabs her foot to the catchy song. "Here comes my favorite part." Brandy said as her favorite part of the song was coming. Brandy sings along as she taps the steering wheel like a drum. Chilli starts smiling a bit at Brandy singing skills. Brandy was always good at singing.

Arrival to Mort's House:

Brandy parks her car to her father's house. "Ah! Well, If it isn't my two little angels." Mort said getting up from his chair walking towards his daughter. "Hey Dad." Brandy said helping Chilli out of the car.

Mort hugs Brandy and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "Oh Chilli, My dear." Mort said hugging Chilli as he tears up. Having to see his daughter like this broke his heart. "your fathershould've been one to die instead of your mother." The voices said in Chilli's head."

"Why don't you girls come in and make yourself at home." Mort said as he invites his daughters inside his house. Brandy looks at Chilli who was frozen still as her I twitched. She looked as if she was mentally disturbed. "Chilli?" Brandy said holding her sister's hand and walks her inside the house.

Mort lights up a candle with a match. He then blows the match. "So, Brandy I know you've been helping take good care of your sister." Mort said walking sit next to Brandy on the couch as Chilli was laying down her head on Brandy's lap. "Yeah, I just think that Bandit might need some extra help." Brandy said petting Chilli's head. "He said that she's been getting worse which concerns me. But I that long she gets the proper help she needs then she'll be able to get better mentally. Chilli moans as her eyes dilate and starts feeling paranoid. "Yeah, I think that could because of what she went through after your mum died."

"Then, to have my very first grandchild gone."

"I just can't imagine." Mort said still devastated of the loss of his wife and to add the miscarriage to it was very hard for him to accept. "Your was the most amazing woman I've ever met. She was always sing a lullaby to you and your sister every night."

Flashback:

Young Chilli wakes up in a hyperbaric chamber to help increase the amount of oxygen in her blood by raising the air pressure. "She is inside this hyperbaric chamber right now. Dr. Shih tzu said leading the family inside the room where Chilli was kept. "Right now the chamber is helping her treat her infection." Dr. Shih tzu explained to the family as young Chilli quietly looks at them through through the chamber. "Chilli?" Young Brandy said looking at her little sister from outside the chamber. She puts her hand on the glass as Chilli lifts up her shaken hand and puts it on glass where Brandy's hand was. Chilli sheds a tear. she was very scared of what was happened to her. Chilli's mother hugs mort. "How long will she have to stay in there?" Chilli's mother said asking the Doctor. "Just for a couple of minutes, But she may have to stay in the hospital for further testing." Dr. Shih tzu explained.

"Chilli's mother walks towards the chamber. "Oh Chilli." Chilli heavily breathes as her mother sings to her through the glass.

End of Flashback:

Mort wipes his tears. Then Brandy puts her arm around her father's shoulder. "Ya Know, You always had the same singing skill like your mother."

"You think so?" Brandy asked

"Yes, You would always sing with your mother everytime she would cooking dinner."

Brandy had no idea she was as talented as her mother was. She remembered singing along with her when she was little but didn't think she would gain the skills from her. Chilli groans in pain. The hit and run has caused her so much physical pain that will stick with her for the rest of her life.
