"Wendy, we should probably try to use evidence to find whoever did this, not assumptions. Even if this Lily Palomi girl did do it, assuming it's her instead of using evidence will just confirm her thoughts about you being a bad person, and cause her to continue trying to sabotage you", Heidi explained.
Wendy sighed with clear disappointment in her voice. "You're right. Now we have to go investigating students who we know are involved with the newspaper press".
"We should probably all split up to interrogate different kids", Nichole stated.
"Alright!"
"It's a deal!"
"Let's do this!"

All of the girls went to their respective kid that they chose to interrogate, besides Lola and Annie, who were too busy fighting each other to do their fucking jobs.
"Hey, Tolkien, you work on the newspaper right?"
"Hey, Heidi. Yeah, I do. Why do you ask?"
"There's a comic in today's newspaper that's using AI images to try to convince people that Wendy's racist and hates gay people. Is there anybody who works on the newspaper who seems like they would want to slander Wendy, for whatever reason?"
"Um, no, not that I can think of."
"Well, was that Lily Palomi girl working on today's newspaper?"
"Yeah, she just started yesterday."
"Okay, that's good to know. Thank you so much for telling me this, Tolkien! As a reward, I'll give you my Rubik's cube for a day!"
"Uhh, I think I'm good."
"Well, okay, if you REALLY don't want it", Heidi exclaimed, before realizing that she was already playing with the Rubik's cube without even fully realizing it. "Again, th-thank you."
In another hallway, Nichole was asking Clyde some questions.
"Hey, Clyde, I need to ask you some questions."
"Okay, okay, fine, I'll take you on a date. I REALLY didn't want to do this, but if you ABSOLUTELY INSIST."
"….What? I was gonna ask some questions about the newspaper, if you don't mind…."
"…………What about the newspaper?"
"There's a comic that's trying to slander Wendy in it. Is there anybody who worked on today's edition who really hates Wendy?"
"….Uh, no, u-unless you count maniacally laughing before saying that you're gonna 'ruin Wendy's reputation forever' as really hating Wendy."
"Who did that!?"
"That Lily Palomi girl."
"Okay. Thanks for telling me."
The other girls all asked various members of the newspaper editorial board about this comic, and they all came to the conclusion that it was Lily Palomi's doing.
Wendy, for one, was thrilled with this. She was going to interrogate Lily's ass so hard.
