Later that day between classes, Raven was at her locker with Meylene and Apple.
"Briar has been acting weird today," said Apple.
"She's not the only one," said Raven as she noticed Faybelle running toward them while taking a glance over her shoulder at the hallway behind her.
"Hide me for just a minute," said Faybelle before jumping into Raven's locker and shutting the door behind her. Before anyone could react, Briar came running up to them, breathing heavily as if she had been running around the whole school.
"Did you… see Faybelle come… this way?" asked Briar.
"She ran that way and took a left," said Meylene while pointing down the hall.
"Thanks," said Briar as she took off.
"Alright, she's gone," said Raven while opening the locker once Briar was out of sight so that Faybelle could step out.
"But what happened to make you run from Briar?" asked Apple.
"I told her," said Faybelle while looking at Raven with a worried expression.
"You told her you like her?!" asked Raven in a low voice while staring at the dark fairy with a shocked expression.
"What did she say?" asked Meylene who was also surprised.
"She was too shocked at the moment and I've been avoiding her since, I'm just way too worried about how she will answer me," said Faybelle as she nervously played with the hem of her shirt.
"Hang on, your crush is Briar?" asked Apple.
"Yes," said Faybelle.
"There you are!" said Briar who had come back.
"Don't even think of running this time, Faybelle Thorn!" she said while heading toward the fairy who was unable to escape thanks to the crowd that had formed thanks to the commotion.
"If you're here to yell at me then please don't," said Faybelle without looking at her.
"I just want to give you an answer to how I feel," said Briar who was blushing.
