"I have no idea who you are."

Galinda, she called herself, frowned.

"Oh... Everyone else seems to. Tell me. What's yours?"

The blondes soft chirpy voice seemed to grate on Elphaba's ears.

"It's Elphaba..."

"Elphaba." Galinda grinned. "Mind if I call you Elfie? It fits way better."

Elphaba quirked her mouth to the side in annoyance.

"I don't think-"

"Great, you can call me Galinda."

Elfie didn't even get a chance to say 'But that is your name' before she was whisked away by the woman's hand. Hmmm. This was different... it felt nice...

Faster than ever they approached the entrance to said university, currently unloading hopefuls from ships and boats. How had that been done?

Galinda bit her lip.

"Unfortunately this is where I leave you. People are expecting... Well... me."

On accident Elphaba said:

"Why?"

Swiveling Galinda replied.

"Because it's important to be popular."
