A\N: This is a short chapter but it is the last chapter of Neal's hope! Chapter 5 has a time jump in it. It will also have comfort and fluff between Alex and Neal. I hope you enjoy, Angels.
The only word that his brain comes up with when he sees her walking towards him, wearing a white dress is wow, a three lettered word that doesn't even come close to the beauty she's radiating. She's walking herself down the aisle while he stands with Moz and Keller (who got special permission to attend). Only Peter, Elizabeth, Diana, Christie, Jones, Lauren, Sara, June, Hughes, Moz and Keller are here to celebrate but that's all they need.
It's been a year since she turned up on his doorstep, drenched from the rain, and revealed that she was there at the hangar the day Kate was killed. If it weren't for her, chances are he'd still be in prison. She rescued him again, she loved him when he was feeling unloved, she held him when he needed to be held, she gave him her space when he needed his space.
She made him love again.
She reaches him, and he holds out his hand for her to take and she slips her hand into his and they stare at each other as their wedding ceremony begins.
He's handed the gold wedding band and slips it on in front of her engagement ring and looks right into her eyes as he says his vows.
"Alex, a year ago I was in prison, grieving the loss of Kate. I wanted to stay inside because I thought I deserved it but then you came to visit against my explicit orders not to and you begged me to let you and the rest of the people on the outside to get me home, you said that even though Kate was gone, you weren't, you were here. I never thought we'd get a second chance to be together, then a rainstorm and thunderstorm hit the city and you turned up at my door, soaked to the pain, it was like fate was determined to make us be together that night. Once you showed up at my door, you never left.
I love you Alex Hunter and I will thank whatever gods there are up in the sky that you came to the prison and begged to get me home because you are my home. You've always been my home. My hope, my home." He says with tears in his eyes.
It's Alex's turn to say her vows.
"Neal Caffrey, you are the love of my life, you've always been the love of my life. You are the strongest man I have ever known and you can overcome anything. You've spent your whole life running and being on the run, so i'm asking you to let me run with you, let me spend the rest of my life running with you. I love you, Neal Caffery and I'm ready to run with you." Alex says, slipping the matching wedding band on his finger.
"By the power vested in me by the state of New York it is my honour to pronounce husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." The minster says, Neal cups his new wife's face and presses his lips to hers.
"May I present for the very first time, Mr and Mrs Caffery." The minister says as the newlyweds pull away. Neal tangles their fingers together and walks down the aisle with his new wife.
A\N: I did say that this chapter was small. I'm in the middle of a The Vampire Diaries rewatch so I'm in the midst of writing a Elena and Tyler oneshot and in the middle of finishing a Clalec Shadowhunters oneshot.
Enjoy, my Angels.
