The two of you return to the empty bunker, where Shadow still stands by the Master Emerald. He turns, noticing your arrival. "Feeling better?"
"Just needed a drink," Knuckles dryly answers.
"Hmph," Shadow turns back, "Sounds like something I should do later…"
"So, any luck, Mr. Chaos Expert?" Knuckles asks as he approaches the Master Emerald.
Shadow nods. "I focused on the energy inside the emerald, and I managed to corral it into a single entity."
Knuckles whips his head angrily to Shadow. "You were messing with the emerald?!"
"Relax," Shadow groans, "I didn't break anything. It's still in one piece. I figured a massive source could help you harness the power, and you can use it to restore the Chaos Emeralds."
Knuckles thinks about it, then slowly nods. "I guess it's worth a shot… Thanks…"
"You're welcome," Shadow glares at Knuckles, "Now get your head out of the clouds and do this thing."
Knuckles glares back, as you laugh a bit. "Guess you two just needed to work together," you grin and take your leave. "I'll let you do your thing."
