Chapter 16
"Daddy's home!" Silas and Wilde exclaimed happily. As they ran towards him in the entryway.
Lucas hugged them tightly and kissed their foreheads.
"The two of you start on homework. I'll double check it after dinner." Lucas instructed.
"Yes dad." They replied. As they headed upstairs.
"They had milk and cookies. I told them about the baby." Brooke announced.
Lucas made his way into the living room.
He sat beside Brooke. His dark grey couch and dark blue pillows very comforting given how his day has been.
"How did they take the news?" Lucas questioned.
"They were positive. Excited had questions."
"Like how's the baby's daddy. And i didn't know what to say."
"I made it clear Julian isnt around."
"I know you want to be there for us. And i want you to be."
"But my decision making romance wise is clearly a mess."
"Because i fell right into his trap. His words. Him moving to Tree Hill for me. That proposal."
"I'm scared to open my heart like that again. He hurt you. He lied and used me. I helped his career. He has gained fans and popularity because of our relationship."
"I love you Luke." Brooke proclaimed.
"You've become the father to our sons i knew you were capable of."
"I don't need you to save me." Brooke added in.
Lucas reached over taking her face in his hands.
"I'm in love now then. I couldn't stop if i wanted too."
"I don't want to get involved with random women while still searching for any connection to you i could find."
"I just want you. My Brooke. My Pretty girl." Lucas proclaimed.
Brooke swallowed hard. Sighing deeply.
"I'm in love with you with you too." Brooke replied.
"Kiss me." Brooke said softly.
Lucas kissed her softly then kissed her hard.
The expression on Brooke's face softened.
Staring into his eyes. Her heart leaping to her throat.
