Meanwhile, back at the Snyder residence…

Robin has finished straightening out her new green pajamas, she had put on and gives her cat, "Ginger" her bedtime snack… half of a salmon flavored fish biscuit. Robin then pulls the covers down her bedsheets. Before she gets in her bed, something unexpected happens.

"HEY, ROBIN…" The sound Buttercup's voice yelling, startles Robin shriek a little. Robin then loses her footing as she's pushed back and she falls back to the carpet floor, on her back. Her tumbling over causes Robin to makes some noise.

"What the? Buttercup?! What are y-" Before can finish, she hears someone else responding to her from downstairs.

"Robin sweetie, you okay up there? What's going on up there, dearie?" Robin hears her mother's voice coming from downstairs from the distance, responding to her daughter's bedroom. Robin tries to think of an excuse to throw her parents off of suspicious activities.

"It's umm… It's nothing, mom! I just' ummm…" Robin yells softly, as she's darting her eyes around, looking for something to say. Her eyes stop at her cat, crouching down next to her nearly finished fish biscuit, looking at her owner, confused and worried. "I just wasn't looking & I 'Accidentally' stepped on Ginger's tail. She got startled and 1 of my toys fell over, as she ran. That's all it was, mom" Robin says, hoping her parents will buy it. Robin's face starts to sweat a little bit getting nervous.

"Well, okay sweetie… be careful with her up there. Make sure you wash your face and brush your teeth before you go to bed, ok sweetie?" Robin's mother say from the distance. Robin then sighs heavily in relief saying quickly, "Oh Thank God!" to herself, after hearing that. Her parents did not suspect anything. "Ok, I already did! Goodnight, Mom! Goodnight, Dad!" Robin says, as her parents response back. Looking under the bottom of the door, she sees the hallway lights turn off, hears her parents heavy footsteps upstairs walking past her room to their bedroom, and finally the master bedroom door closed.

Robin finds Ginger dark, still were she was finishing her fish biscuit, wondering about her owner. Robin can see perfectly in the dark just fine, without knocking anything over or tripping over herself, for 4 reasons:

1. She has three Outlets plugged in the walls around her room, that work as both scented air fresheners and Night Lights.

2. The window in her room, whether the thick curtains are open or not, the light can still reflect in her bedroom.

3. Ginger use to help Robin (when she was younger) having to navigate her in the dark, by holding the tip of her tail. Whether sneaking in the kitchen at night or just playing.

And 4. Robin has night vision goggles, which Buttercup SOMEHOW earned, in perfect mint condition, for her birthday one time. With some help from her father, Professor Utonium enhancing & modifying it… and as a reward from the pawn shop Store Manager. For single-handedly stopping The Gangreen Gang members, Lil Arturo, Grubber, Snake, and Big Billy (Ace being out of town for the time being). Who attempt to steal in the first place, poorly.

Robin grabs her Night vision goggles on and resumes her earlier "unexpected" conversation.

"Buttercup… was that you just now?" Robin says to herself quietly. It's replied back with a telepathic "yes" from said person.

"WHAT D- (Clearing Throat) I mean…" "What do you want, Buttercup? I'm about to go to bed"

"Yeah, I know. And I'm reeeally sorry to do 'this' to you at a bad time. But before The Professor and my sister start to suspect my new telepathic abilities, I kept hidden from them. As I'm 'pretending' to remember… Quick question:" Buttercup think to her neighbor quickly. "What is it, Buttercup?"

"Bubbles brought one of those 'BIG' leeches, that you saw and removed from Boomer's back earlier, with her on her way home just now"

"Annnnd…?" Robin response to Buttercup, as she shrugs with one hand up, waiting for her girlfriend's so-called emergency "quick question" for her.

"Since you were the only one who got a look at those blood suckers…The Professor is asking the 3 of us: 'How many of those leeches did you find, or rather how many did you 'see' near Boomer… that were just 'AS BIG', as the one we have now, back in his 'Secret' hiding place, today?' And make it fast" Buttercup asked Robin, hoping for a good answer for her and her sister's excuse.

Back in The Powerpuff girl's house…

The Professor, Blossom, and Bubbles are still waiting for Buttercup's answer or excuse. Everyone else has their arms crossed, waiting for the Green Puff to talk, as they slowly start to question what's her holdup.

"Buttercup…?" The Professor asks his daughter, ending with a pause and low tone. "Buttercup… Are you trying to 'remember' or are TRYING to 'fall asleep' right now?" Blossom questions, only for Bubbles to interrupt the 2 questioning Buttercup. Bubbles making assumptions that Buttercup is daydreaming about something else with her eyes closed, tightly.

"I REMEMBER NOW! I THINK WAS BETWEEN 15 or 20!" Buttercup yells startlingly everyone else in front of her. "Ex… cuse you?" Blossom asks confused from her sister's sudden reaction.

Buttercup explains that "She thinks" that, there were actually about between 15 or 20 leeches. But in actuality Robin tells her that's how many she thinks she saw. Instead of going to question how Buttercup would know that, Professor Utonium brushes it off saying he'll continue examining the substance inside the leeches later, when he has more time. Blossom and Bubbles are so tired after today they let it go and just head upstairs talking about getting ready for bed. Blossom mentions about having her plans at the mall. While Bubbles, on the other hand, talks cute to Blossom about going shopping at the mall having plans tomorrow as well. Both are so busy talking themselves about the Mall, they neglect to noticed their green raven-haired tomboy sister is not flying behind them.

Back downstairs in the Laboratory…

As Professor Utonium puts the test fluid samples from the leech in the refrigerator and turns off the lights, he notices that Buttercup is not only still down here with him, but he also sees his Raven-Haired Green-Eyed daughter is squinting her eyes, tightly and hard. And making slightly odd noticeable facial gestures, almost like she's either purposely making funny faces, thinking about something really hard, or rather. The same facial expressions you normally make… when you're talking to someone.

"Uhh, Buttercup?" Professor Utonium asks, as he puts his hand on his Green daughter's shoulder getting her immediately attention. "Huh… Oh, OH Professor!" Buttercup says acting startled and jumpy. She then realizes her sisters are already gone, her lose track of time, and is STILL in the Professor's Laboratory. She then tries to rush her way out there, by talking fast, but slow enough for him to understand the words. "Uh, sorry I was daydreaming about beating up Butch, again. Oh, wow! Would you look at the time! gotta get to bed! Goodni-"

"STOP… RIGHT… THERE,… YOUNG LADY" Professor Utonium says in a heavy tone. Buttercup stops in her tracks in the air, before having a chance to reach the open door with her arm out. "Come here, Now" Buttercup turns around slowly levitating to her father request. She is then sitting next to him on a wheelie stool, slowly looking up indirect eye contact with the Professor, who is rising an eyebrow. "Uhh Yes, sir?" Buttercup says, thinking she in trouble.

(Slow Inhale) "So, Buttercup… let me ask you something and 'do' be honest with me here:" The Professor asks Buttercup, with a straightforward look in his face, without looking like his upset.

"How long have you really been able to use this telepathic communication… with Robin?"

Buttercup's eyes widen in shock, as her Green iris shrink down to the size of pupils. He knows about her new secret ability she's been hiding from her sisters. And from the look on his face, he's been aware about this for some time. Buttercup looks a shame and then she looks at the professor and starts to talk, after a facepalm.

(Heavily Sighing) "Pleeease promise, you won't tell Blossom and Bubbles about this?" Buttercup pleads with her father, as he shows Buttercup him crosses his fingers, and waiting for an answer.

"So, the truth is…"

Okay, so… that's this Chapter. Sorry I take so long on this. I'll be honest, I may have gotten a little bit distracted or lazy trying to continue and resume on this, with everything else going on, lately. I MIGHT be getting a "little bit" rusty on, but plan to continue this. I also have a been working on new holiday Crossover with Boomer meeting some characters, from the Touhou Project franchise.
