2015 - The Police Station

It is winter. Not unusual for the world just depends whether there is show or not. But you know the windows don't work when there is show coming in to the building.

"Okay, you six gather round," I hear a voice from behind. "As you guys know, we are in need of more recruits. That is why we hired you guys. We also need a group to be in charge of the mines, which sadly us officers who been for a while have tried, but were injured in the process "

" But why us." A boy to my left spoke up. " Couldn't you guys just go again instead of hiring someone else to do It."

"Look kid, we tried multiple times to go back in there but something kept us out." The officer said, "We came up with a plan to see if we could get a group of people to do It. And if not, we block of the mines for good."

"But what do we use the mines for anyways?" A girl's voice spoke up. "And why do we need to take care of it.?"

" I don't know but the mayor said we need to keep it open, but he didn't say otherwise." The officer told us. "Now another officer will give you your uniforms and tell anything else. Go on now."

Why would mayor want the mine open? Then it could be related to the merchant that comes by every once in a while. What was his name, The Duke? It could for trading with the village nearby.

" Hey! You're Eliza, right?" It was one of the guys from the very quick introduction of the job. Along with the other 3 guys.

" Yeah, and you are?" I asked out of curiosity.

"I'm Oliver, that's Liam. To his left is Ace and the last one is Ezra " he responds. I must say very interesting names. I do think I seen them in school before.

"I think the other girl that was there, her name is Sophie." I mentioned. One of the officers talked to her and I heard that name. It is just a guess.

"Cool. We were just wondering if you and Sophie would meet us at the entrance of the mines tonight." He told me.

" Sure" I responded without a second thought. "Though you should find Sophie and ask her."

"Will do. See you tonight." He said before he and the others ran off. I never thought I'd be ever stepping into the mine.
