" The punishment for you bunch is a two thousand dollar fine and rebuilding the old farm house 45 minutes out of town." The boss tells us.

"Why be this harsh?" Ezra asks, seems to be a very innocent question.

"You guys went into the mine without telling us and it wasn't during work hours. If something bad happens, we wouldn't know you guys were in there almost hours later. Thank goodness we taught you guys what safety gear to use and thankfully we have gas masks for this job." The boss tells at us, mostly concerned.

"Understandable." I spoke up. I mean he is right, we absolute should not have gone in the mine that night. For the past few days, a sense of guilt and shame has washed over my body. I do wish I had said no and stayed home. But this works out for me.

"Okay. You guys will be doing paperwork after you come back from the farmhouse. The fine should be paid by the end of the month. You will be supervised when you go to the farmhouse and twice a week you with be heading to the mines supervised as well and that will continue even when the month ends. Yes, you will be heading to the mines twice a week instead of 4 times a week." The boss informs us of the last bit of details. "Now you will be heading to the farmhouse and the manager will be your supervisor."

The path to the farmhouse has been overrun with plants, though some of it is visible. I noticed a couple of old farm tools on the way here. 40 minutes has leaped since we left the station and we are close to the farmhouse. I mean it is in our line of sight. There seem to be a pile of wood and some other work supplies for us. It is our job for the month to rebuild build it. This will truly be an experience for the team. Actually, rebuilding a build is something that won't come often for a bunch of newbies. I don't think some the older police have done this either, but who knows.

"Hey Eliza." Sophie says as she walks up to me.

"Hey Sophie." I reply. "Done your area?"

"Yeah, finished up ten minutes ago." She tells me. I noticed she was about five minutes ago though it wasn't my business. "You seem to be close to finishing yours."

"Yeah, just need to finish up the last window frame." I respond.

"Liam and Ace are almost done finishing the base of it." She says as she looks toward them. "I still can believe we had to tear that old thing down."

"Me too." I tell her. "Luckily we had been given the blueprints for the house so we can try to build the farmhouse as it was before."

"Same though I don't get why we had to do it. We could just try to restore it." She suggested.

"The wood it decaying and it would not be good to try and restore it since it already collapses. Plus, most of it was burnt, so it would have been impossible to rebuild with the stuff we could use, since could also break in the next few years." I say, giving a possible outcome if we did that.

"True, but we will never know if we didn't try." She tells me." She tells me. "Well, I am too g to talk with Oliver and Ezra since it seems that they have finished just recently. See ya."

"Goodbye" I reply as she walks away and soon after I finished the last window frame. I lay back down in the grass from exhaustion. In the past 7 hours with the two of our hour break, I have made almost 30 window frames. Thank goodness I used my breaks to rest or I would feel even worse now.

A month has flown by and we just finished up the interior of the farmhouse.

"Thank goodness we finished this." Oliver yelled with joy in the tone of his voice.

"Yeah, and we payed our fine before the end of the month too." Ezra yelled back at Oliver.

" You know what this calls for." I spoke out. " A celebration. We should do a movie marathon and have cake and some other snacks."

"Absolutely!" The others replied in unison. Our supervisor seemed to chuckle at our glee. Don't know why but they seem to be jealous of our joy of completing something. We had worked hard this so we deserve a break.

We all make a run for it back for the station, flying past the supervisor, who after a couple of seconds of shock, began running after us, telling us to slow down. We just can't wait to relax. We did learn a few things about each other.

We ended running towards the sunset. Which made the last day of rebuilding the farmhouse even more special.
