Chapter 16:
It had been a few days since Haruka and gone to the hospital, and revealed to her family that she was contemplating suicide.
Setsuna had called Dr. Furuya, to see what he would recommend in regards to what Haruka had revealed. While he was concerned by the thoughts Haruka was having, he didn't feel a need to admit her to the hospital. He did however recommend that she start therapy as soon as possible, and Haruka had her first consultation scheduled for Monday.
Today though was Friday, and therapy was the last thing on Haruka's mind. Instead she was focusing on her and Michiru's upcoming date. Despite being together for a few years and having many dates, Haruka still got nervous when going out with the aqua-haired beauty. Even though Michiru would vehemently disagree, Haruka saw herself as out of Michiru's league and always wondered why Michiru chose her, when she could literally have anyone she wanted.
"What does she even see in me?"
Haruka wondered as she sifted through the clothes in her closet, trying to find an outfit to wear for the evening.
After about fifteen minutes of searching through her shirts and pants, she let out a groan of frustration.
"Everything okay, Haruka-papa?"
Hotaru asked, having come in to check on how Haruka was doing. Ever since Haruka revealed that she was thinking about ending her life, Hotaru could often be seen going to check on the blonde racer whenever possible.
"Everything's okay, Hime-chan. I'm just having trouble finding something to wear for my date with your Michiru-mama tonight."
"Let me help, I'll find something nice for you to wear."
Hotaru then made her way over to Haruka's closet and began rummaging through it.
After minutes of rummaging, Hotaru let out a triumphant yell.
"Here, Haruka-papa, you should wear this tonight."
Hotaru smiled as she handed Haruka a strapless maroon colored dress, with a slit going up the side.
"Um, this is a dress."
"I know and it'll look great on you."
"I don't know, Hotaru."
"Oh come on, Haruka-papa, you've worn dresses before. Besides you and Michiru-mama haven't been on a date in awhile, and I think you should wear something special."
"Alright, I'll wear the dress."
Hotaru jumped for joy.
"Yay! You're gonna look amazing."
Hotaru beamed, giving her father figure a hug.
"Thanks, Hime-chan. Although I don't think I could top your Michiru-mama as far as looking amazing goes. She pretty much has me beat when it comes to that."
"Well you're still gonna look amazing."
Hotaru then left the room, so that Haruka could get ready for her date.
Haruka then took the dress into the bathroom and began to get ready for her date.
Meanwhile, Michiru was in her art studio, working on a painting. Something she hasn't done in awhile.
"What are you working on, Michiru-mama?"
Hotaru asked as she entered the room.
"I'm not exactly sure. I sort of just started painting."
Michiru said as she gestured towards the canvas.
She set her paintbrush down and turned her attention to Hotaru.
"How's your Haruka-papa doing?"
"She's good. I had to help her find something to wear for your date tonight."
"Oh, and what did you pick out for her?"
A grin spread across Hotaru's face.
"I can't tell you. You'll just have to wait until you see it on her."
"Is that so? Well then, I suppose I should go get ready."
Michiru then cleaned up her paints, and headed off to get ready for her date with Haruka.
Hotaru went to see if Setsuna needed any help with dinner, since it was just going to be the two of them.
Back upstairs, Haruka had finished her shower and was currently staring at the dress that hung on a hook in the bathroom.
"I can't wear that. I'm not skinny enough yet."
Haruka thought as she eyed the dress.
"Still though, Hotaru looked like she really wanted me to wear it. I'd hate to disappoint her."
Haruka thought, grabbing the dress off the hook and bringing it closer to herself.
She then looked back and forth between the dress and her reflection in the mirror.
"I really should wear something else. I don't have the right body to pull this off."
Haruka thought as she continued to look back and forth between her reflection and the dress.
After about a good twenty minutes of debating whether she was going to wear the dress or not, Haruka finally decided to say to hell with it, and quickly slipped the dress on before she had a chance to change her mind.
Once the dress was on, she quickly finished getting ready. Being careful not to look at herself too much, as she knew doing so would likely cause her to forgo wearing the dress.
After she had finally finished getting ready, Haruka stepped out of the bathroom and made her way downstairs.
Each step felt like it was taking an eternity to make, and she half considered faking sick to get out of going out. However, before she could even think of an illness to suddenly come down with, she suddenly found herself standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"Guess there's no turning back now."
Haruka whispered to herself, fidgeting a bit.
As she stood there fidgeting nervously, she was unaware that Michiru was watching her; completely transfixed by the sight before her.
"Wow, she looks absolutely breathtaking."
Michiru thought as her eyes continued to scan Haruka. Her gaze lingering a bit on Haruka's curves that were normally hidden by more masculine attire.
"Now do you see why I couldn't tell you what I picked for her to wear?"
Hotaru asked, appearing next to Michiru.
"I do. You picked out a great outfit, Hime-chan. Your Haruka-papa looks beautiful."
"You gonna tell her that, or are you gonna just stand there and undress her with your eyes?"
Hotaru's question caused Michiru to blush.
"I, uh, I wasn't undressing her with my eyes."
Michiru muttered, her blush deepening.
"Sure you weren't. And based on the way you're looking at Haruka-papa, I'm pretty sure I know what you'll be doing after you get home from your date. So, can I sleep over at Chibiusa's tonight?"
Michiru let out a slight chuckle and ruffled Hotaru's hair.
"It's alright with me."
"Yay, thank you Michiru-mama. I'm gonna go call her and let her know I get to sleep over."
"She already invited you to sleep over, didn't she?"
"Yep."
Hotaru smiled, racing off to tell her best friend the great news.
Michiru then walked over to Haruka and tapped her on the shoulder.
When Haruka turned to face her, Michiru felt her breath catch in her throat. She had thought Haruka had looked stunning when she was looking at her from a distance, but seeing her up close, Michiru felt that she was looking at a goddess.
"Wow, you look beautiful."
Michiru smiled, her eyes scanning Haruka up and down.
"I do?"
"Of course you do. Then again I might be a bit biased, since I always think you're beautiful."
"You do?"
Michiru was a bit taken aback by Haruka's confusion.
"Of course I do. Why do you seem so confused at the fact that I find you beautiful."
"Sorry, it's just, well you never really call me beautiful. It's either that I'm handsome or I look nice, but you never tell me that I'm beautiful. So I sorta just thought that…"
Haruka trailed off, but Michiru finished her thought for her.
"That I didn't think you were beautiful."
Haruka gave a small nod.
"Ruka, I thought you were beautiful since the day we met."
Michiru then stepped forward and cupped Haruka's cheek.
"You're the most beautiful girl in the world to me."
Michiru said, sealing her words with a soft kiss to Haruka's lips, which the latter happily returned.
Once the kiss had ended, Michiru took Haruka's hand into hers.
"Come on, let's go on that date."
The pair then headed out the door, hand in hand.
As they walk towards Haruka's car, Michiru couldn't help but notice that Haruka had a smirk on her face.
"What are you smirking about?"
"Oh, nothing much. I was just wondering something."
"Which is?"
"If you were still undressing me with your eyes or not."
Haruka then threw Michiru a wink, causing the smaller girl to blush.
"I'm not answering that."
Michiru muttered, trying to look anywhere but at Haruka.
Haruka let out a low chuckle, then leaned over and whispered into Michiru's ear.
"We could always just skip dinner and go straight to dessert."
Haruka said as she nibbled on Michiru's neck and gave her butt a firm squeeze.
Michiru bit her bottom lip, to keep the sound she desperately wanted to make inaudible.
"Behave yourself."
Michiru chided, pulling away from Haruka's touch. She had tried her best to make her tone sound serious, but it came out as more of a plea.
"Dinner's gonna be fun."
Haruka thought as she began to think of all the ways she could tease Michiru during dinner.
