Chapter 17
Weeks would pass.
Before long, Rook got use to his arms. The extra ones. He had been training with Ryoto and Suiryu of all people. Suiryu was the better sparring partner since he was aware of his strength and knew how to fight. Ryoto was joining them in order to learn how to better fight his battles. "So, now that we are working on a regiment, how do you feel now? Got control?"
Rook was rather stunned to see Suiryu had the same arms as Sukuna, and yet he hardly uses them anymore. In fact, Yuuji has the same thing, but they only come out if there is an emergency or he has to cook a lot of food! "It's weird, at the same time, they are starting to feel more natural." Rook explained.
"It took time for me to master mine too…" Ryoto said offhandedly. "You think I would have struggled."
"Show off…" muttered Rook. But he snickered. "Anyways, I appreciate you guys helping me with this, when I fight Oji, I want to be sure I catch him off guard!" he decreed.
"You got good fundamentals, at the same time, you forget the fact that HE trained you. So he already knows everything you got" Suiryu said rather bluntly.
Rook froze to this and sighed. "Son of a bitch!" he protested.
"So, here's what you do, find other teachers" said Ryoto. "If anything, talk to our moms' side of the family. They may not be of your caliber, but there is always something to learn, right?"
He had a point, at the same time, Rook doesn't want to leave the domain just yet to train. "What's with that look?" Suiryu asked of him. "You're hesitating despite the fact it's your goal to fight Sukuna."
He sighed. "The thing is, as much as I want to go off and train… I can't right now, not when he needs help." Rook showed them his phone, every so often he gets a text message. Suiryu paused as he saw all the ones from Sukuna, they have been adding up each and every day now.
"He texts you one word and that's making you stay?" Suiryu asked.
Ryoto peered but paused, in fact, he stared at Rook with amazement. "Is this the reason?" he asked.
Rook nodded to him.
"So what? All Sukuna texts is horse!" Suiryu protested.
"Exactly. Father told me that if mom was so hungry she could eat a horse, he would personally prepare that horse for her to eat… what he is telling Rook is that my mom is really hungry and needs a lot of food, and figures he didn't have enough for her to eat… you've been going out to get it, aren't you?"
He nodded to this. "He prefers the stuff we hunt, compared to a supermarket, even your mom is stating she can't eat any meat from the human standards anymore… guess we dug that grave for us on that… but I don't mind the least bit. In fact, Lady Tiamat is thrilled I keep up the hunt since more pests from the divine are slipping in. She doesn't know how it's happening, but somehow it's out of her control. So, I help keep the numbers down and we get full fridges and freezers."
"It is strange that it is happening, isn't it?" Suiryu asked. "D'angelo mentioned that the heavenly realm is rather chaotic right now since this damn great uncle of mine is having the creatures fight one another, but he comes in to be 'peacekeeper' and look like a hero" he muttered bitterly. "Either way, a full fridge is great."
"The thing is, aunt Chusi is eating more and more, the old goat said she is officially three months now, but she has yet to really show. At the same time, with all that she eats, she is not having a single" Rook explained. "I know Oji is worried that if push comes to shove, what happened between him and his brother may happen to those auntie carries, so he wants to be certain there is more than enough food. I don't mind helping him with this the least bit. Hell, I got Hoshi in on this with Mochi. We go hunting in the afternoons just to keep the stock up."
Suiryu was impressed by this. "Not bad, keep your skills up too… anything good?"
Rook shook his head. "The best ones are still Orc for pork and the ophiotaurus since we get beef and sea food out of it." He paused for a moment. "Say, I overheard something at the nursery too, in fact I think Oji was talking aloud about the blind eye potion…"
"What about it?" asked Suiryu and Ryoto.
"Well, if you think about it, the potion is to react to those with great power in sorcery or those who are proficient at it. Well… if that's the case, it shouldn't work on me should it? I'm still human… technically" he explained.
Suiryu appeared interest. "Should we test this out?"
Rook wanted to agree until his phone went off. He peered and saw the message. "After a hunt, I just got a text from Oji… he capitalized horse this time, this is getting serious."

He would hunt every day, and each day the demand grows more and more for his aunt. Rook didn't mind and yet, he was starting to have trouble keeping pace. Hoshi and Mochi have joined him, but before long, he had to bring in more to help. The Fushiguros have stepped up, hell he was even shocked to see Megumi standing before him after Rook made the call!
"Okay, thanks for coming, just so you know we got a LOT to hunt down. Auntie is getting hungrier by the day and Oji is concerned." He explained.
"Where are we hunting?" Megumi asked.
"Lady Tiamat told me of a new spawning ground recently, she isn't sure as to what it is, but it needs to be taken out. So I think we all need to go and see what's what."
The Fushiguros nodded. With that said they went on their way and into one of the most rural places of Japan. Instantly, Rook smelt it. "You got that? It's a mash up of all shorts of critters!" he decreed.
Megumi was peering beyond him and yet, looked confused. "This isn't right, if from what I understand with creatures like them… they should be tearing each other apart." He said in a dry tone.
Rook peered and nodded. There were orcs, cockatrice, wyverns, demonic gooses… just to name a few. "It's like someone or something gathered them there… and is about to unleash them." Said Hoshi.
"But who has the power to make certain these things don't kill each other?" Rook asked. "Only a dragon can do that, but if that dragon isn't on earth to keep the peace, they should be shredding one another to bits… which means…"
Megumi nodded. "The dragon who controls them is on earth." He said. "But we cannot look for them right now, I sense no other dragons here. All we can do is ensure these things don't escape."
"My thoughts exactly" Rook decreed. He smiled as he extended his extra arms out, he has a sword in his right hands and smiled. "We're going to have a great feast with these bastards… and full fridges!"
"Let me make a parameter around us…" Megumi said, his body then began to smoke, shadows began to come out of the smoke and take form. Before long, they were surrounded by at least 300 wolves!
"Whoa…" Rook whispered with admiration. "You can make that many?!"
Megumi flushed red a little. "I can make more, depending on how many rabbits I have, I can make just as many with my shikigami… but there are limits at the moment. The wolves I have are for security measures to ensure nothing escapes…"
"Dude, I don't need the story nor explanation. The fact is that you can make at least this many is amazing. Okay, let's make a plan, I'll go in first, since they know I'm a threat. I will force them here…"
Not many knew that despite how the hunt sounds, Rook plans everything before making a move on many targets, if it were a single one though. He goes in right away. Yet with this many, he knows each move has to be precise as well as deadly. His Oji installed that into him.
'I could care less as to how strong you become, if one escapes, consider it a failure knowing the damage they can do, you take them all out, not excuses. Therefore you plan and not rush in head first!'
"That's remarkable…" Hoshi muttered after Rook explained the details. "With this, we should end the battle within an hour…"
"Let's make it sooner, we need to get this meat back home a.s.a.p." Rook said. "So with that… let's move out!"
