RAW is WAR: 31/5/1999
RAW is WAR was live at the Mark of Quad (later renamed the I Wireless Center) in Moline, Illinois. The upcoming match was the Bladewolf and Kane defending their WWF Tag Team Championship against the Acolytes.
In the arena, the lights then went out, followed by Kane's theme playing.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
Fire explodes on the stage as Kane's theme is replaced by The Devil's Wolf, the lights dimming to the sinister blood red and dark blue as the Bladewolf and Kane walk out together and start making their way towards the ring. Kane had his Tag Team title over his shoulder, while Bladewolf had his around his waist.
"The following Tag-team contest is scheduled for one-fall and is for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship! Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 636 lbs, they are the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, the Brothers of Destruction... KANE & THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
Kane and the Bladewolf reach the end of the ramp and climb onto the ring apron together. They step over the top rope and Bladewolf removes his coat and metallic mask, revealing the wolf one underneath, while Kane walks to the center of the ring and begins raising his arms. He throws them down, causing fire to spew from the turnbuckles as the lights return to normal.
They hand their Tag Team Championship belts to the referee as the Acolytes' theme hits and they make their way towards the ring. "And their opponents. From the Corporate Ministry, at a combined weight of 613 pounds, Bradshaw and Faarooq, the Acolytes!" Tony Chimel announced before leaving the ring.
The challengers march to the ring and enter, Kane glares at Bradshaw. The brothers hand their championship belts to referee Tim White, who raises them in the air to let everyone that's what this match is about.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Faarooq start the match and Faarooq relentlessly attacks his opponent. He Irish whips Bladewolf into the ropes and nails the big boot hard, making Bladewolf's head bounce of the mat.
Surprise momentarily flashes through the Demon Wolf's mind, he was taken back by the man's aggression but he was going to show Faarooq he can every bit as aggressive. He grabs Faarooq's face and punches his mid-section before tripping him and kneels down, hyper extending the man's hand in a painful submission hold. While holding, Bladewolf balls her free hand up and punches Faarooq in the ribs, doubling the pain coursing through his nerves.
Bladewolf applies more pressure when he senses the Acolyte struggling to break free of the hold. Faarooq gets to his feet and slams the back of his head against Bladewolf's masked face to make him let go. He body slams the Demon Wolf, rolls out of the ring and drags Bladewolf toward the ring post and... SLAMS HIS LEG OFF THE STEEL RING POST!
Rolling the Demon Wolf onto his belly, Faarooq punches his head before... SLAMMING HIS ARM AGAINST THE STEEL RING POST!
Bladewolf loses count on how many times his arm was smashed against the ring post but he gets the idea that Faarooq intends on breaking it.
Gripping Faarooq's arm, he pulls him in and... HIS HEAD COLLIDES WITH THE RING POST! Bladewolf nurses the hurt limb it was bruised and throbbing from intense pain. Bladewolf tries reaching for Kane's extended hand when Faarooq grabbed his leg. Bladewolf turns around and... STAGGERS HIM WITH AN ENZUGURI! BLADEWOLF HAD NEVER DONE A MOVE LIKE THAT BEFORE! However, it gave Bladewolf the chance to reach and tag in Kane!
Kane steps over the top rope and attacks Faarooq with nasty uppercuts that nearly take his opponent's head off. He Irish whips Faarooq into the ropes and hits the big boot, next he climbs the turnbuckle and waits for his target to stand. When the Acolyte rises to his feet Kane jumps off, scoring a direct hit in a flying clothesline. Quickly returning upright Kane raises his gloved hand in preparation for the Chokeslam from Hell, fingers wiggling in anticipation.
He wraps his hand around Faarooq's throat when he spots Shane McMahon coming down to ringside and stands on the apron to distract the Big Red Machine, Kane senses Bradshaw coming in to save his partner when he's intercepted by Bladewolf... WHO SENDS HIM COLLIDING INTO SHANE MCMAHON! The younger McMahon is knocked off the apron and collides with the barricade.
Bladewolf grabs Bradshaw by the throat as Kane grips Faarooq by his. The brothers share a nod, then lift their respective opponents up... AND PLANT THEM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM! KANE COVERS FAAROOQ! ONE! TWO! THREE! KANE AND BLADEWOLF RETAIN THE TITLES!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Burned plays as Kane gets to his feet. "Here are your winners and STILL World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions... KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
Snatching his title from the referee, Bladewolf glares towards Shane who wisely retreats before the brothers could entertain the thought of coming after him.
Bladewolf gets to a knee and does the Undertaker salute, raising his title. Kane stands behind him, raises his arms before throwing them down which makes fire explode from the turnbuckles. Bladewolf gets to his feet and drapes his title over his shoulder before leaving the ring with Kane, the two making their way to the back.
And that's it for this chapter. Sorry that the match was so damn short.
