RAW is WAR: 14/6/1999
RAW is WAR was live at the Worcester Centrum in Worcester, Stone Cold Steve Austin's first day as the CEO at WWF Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, the Corporate Ministry's theme hit and the group walks to the ring. They enter one by one until all members stand inside the squared circle.
"Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!" The crowd chanted at Vince, making it clear their opinion had not changed a bit.
"I must say, you're down right rude!" Vince said to them, but the crowd didn't care. "You know, the only thing worse than Stone Cold or the Bladewolf being the World Wrestling Federation Champion and quite frankly, I don't think there could be anything worse than that. But the thing worse than that is Stone Cold being the CEO, the Chief Execute Officer of this company!"
The crowd popped at that, rubbing it in Vince's face.
"Last Monday night was to be a celebration. Last Monday night was supposed to be a culmination of three months of blood, sweat and tears. Three months of planning, scheming and indeed executing the greatest plan in the history of the World Wrestling Federation." Vince said.
"Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!" The crowd chanted.
"But sometimes plans go awry and when they do, they test the medal of a man. It tests the medal of the organization. And there are those among you who'd think there are cracks in the foundation of the Corporate Ministry now. There are some of you who think the Corporate Ministry is about to dissolve. There may even be some of you who wish that the Corporate Ministry in fact disintegrate. Well, that's only wishful thinking because that's not going to happen. That's not gonna tonight, that's not gonna happen any night!" Vince declared. "You see, the Corporate Ministry is focused. It sets its sights on the future. And as such, first and foremost, at the King of the Ring, Bladewolf, you will defend your WWF Championship against your brother, the Undertaker!"
The crowd gave a big reaction, remembering the brutal match they had last week as the Undertaker smirked darkly, his forehead bandaged from where he was busted open last week.
"Now, Shane McMahon and I have given great deliberation to the future. Great deliberation to the King of the Ring. Stone Cold Steve Austin has challenged Vince and Shane McMahon to a Handicap Match, which we, the McMahons, have eagerly anticipated. The only question, Shane is what kind of stipulation are we going to add to this match. Now there has been some debate about what the stipulation should be. But I got an idea, try this one for size."
"Go ahead." Shane nodded.
What if we engaged Austin in a Dog Pound Match?" Vince suggested. "Well, we need to see one first. So let's take a look at a Dog Pound Match here tonight. Why don't we take the Road Dogg 'Jesse James', yeah. Let's put a dog collar around his neck and let's put a dog collar around the neck of Mr. Ass. Let's connect those collars with a good old dog chain. How about that?"
Shane nodded with a smile. "I'm liking that! You know what? This Handicap Match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and us is kinda like David vs. Goliath. Of course, Austin being David and us being Goliath. How about that, dad? How about that for tonight? David vs. Goliath Match where in one corner, playing the part of Goliath will be none other than the Big Show and in the other corner will be the new WWF Champion, the Demon Wolf himself, the Bladewolf! What's gonna happen? Can Bladewolf lift a 500 giant or will he go for a ride up to the ceiling before come crashing down in a chokeslam from hell? Speaking of hell, what about this one? The Acolytes play Vince and Shane in a special Handicap Match in this ring and playing the part of Stone Cold Steve Austin will be none other than Kane."
The two continue trading stipulations for the matches tonight.
Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson interrupt them from the entrance ramp.
Patterson said, "Hold it, hold it, hold it! Vince, you look at me! I'm talking to you! I have known you for twenty long years and Vince, you know well that your daughter Stephanie is my godchild. I understand, Vince that business is business. But how in the hell can you put your lovely daughter, my godchild, through such an ordeal? How can you do something like?!" Vince looks at him in confusion over what Pat Patterson just said until it dawns on him.
Vince asked, "Patterson, are you questioning my judgment?"
Patterson fired back, "You damn right I'm questioning you and I want some answers!"
The Chairman warned, "Listen, pal. You better get right with yourself and me because you don't wanna hear my answers!"
The slightly older man said with no fear, "Wow, is that a threat? Well Vince, let me tell you something. If this is a threat, then you and Shane can go straight to hell!" Gerald Brisco grabs the microphone to give the male McMahons a piece of his mind.
Brisco said, "And while you and Shane earn that trip to hell, you better stop and get your own damn coffin!"
That got a reaction out of Vince, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Before you leave, since I own your two asses, I tell you what. You know what you're gonna do? You're gonna be in this ring tonight competing in a Tag-Team Match against Mideon and Viscera. This will be a night for all to remember!"
The segment ends and switches over to Steve Austin during his first day as the CEO.
The time for the Bladewolf vs Big Show finally arrived after the Test vs Big Boss Man match.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out, the WWF Championship around his waist and his WWF Tag Team title on his right shoulder, making his way towards the ring with purpose.
"The following contest is scheduled for one-fall! Making his way to the ring, from Death valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is one half of the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions and the World Wrestling Federation Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
Making his way down the ramp, Bladewolf grabs the top rope and pulls himself up onto the ring apron before stepping foot over the top rope. He reaches up and pushes his hood down before taking off his metallic mask, revealing the wolf mask underneath with the eyeholes shrouded in total darkness.
Bladewolf's theme dies down and the lights return to normal as he takes off his coat and dumps it outside the ring for a stagehand to grab. He hands his titles to someone at ringside and faces the stage, waiting for his opponent.
The Big Show's theme hits and he comes out. Tony Chimel resumed, "And his opponent. Weighing 500 pounds, the Big Show!" As he approaches Big Show shakes his head, clearly not wanting to fight the Bladewolf not out of any friendliness towards him, but the fact he's being forced to by the male McMahons.
Stepping over the top rope, he raises his hand while bellowing loudly.
Big Show's theme dies down and the referee, Tim White, called for the bell to begin the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf walks forward and goes eye to eye with the giant, the size difference very apparent as Big Show had to look down slightly. Big Show stood at 7'2, while Bladewolf stood at 7'0.
The crowd were cheering this confrontation on as the two men stared each other down.
They started with a lock-up, having a test of strength, but Big Show pushed Bladewolf back to a small pop from the crowd as the Demon Wolf looked around before looking back at Big Show who gestured for him to bring it. Bladewolf nods slightly then goes for a big boot but Big Show sidesteps it then sends him into the ropes. Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes and tries to take Big Show down with a clothesline but Big Show stays on his feet.
Big Show nails him in the gut with that huge fist a couple of times before pinning Bladewolf in the corner and slams an open palm against his chest, Bladewolf grunts from the impact. It felt like someone took a frying pan and swung it full force on him.
Big Show prepares to do another open hand chop when Bladewolf blocks it and throws right hands, battling his way out of the corner. The giant reverses an Irish whip, Bladewolf dodges the right hand and performs a drop kick that has Big Show staggering on his feet and he succeeds in taking the 500 pound man down following a leaping clothesline.
Bladewolf raises his hand for the chokeslam and wraps it around Big Show's neck, making the fans wonder if he can lift the big man off the mat. Big Show wraps his own hand around Bladewolf's neck thinking the same thing, he swats Bladewolf's hand off and hoists him up but Bladewolf... COUNTERS WITH A DDT! BLADEWOLF HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THR-! Big Show kicks out, throwing Bladewolf off and sending him rolling out of the ring!
As Bladewolf gets to his feet, the Corporate Ministry runs down and starts attacking both men, causing Tim White to call for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf delivers punches to Mideon and Viscera, then slides into the ring and starts to help Big Show with both men fighting off the Corporate Ministry. Bladewolf grabs Shane McMahon by the throat and Big Show walks over to grab the younger McMahon as well. Sharing a look, they nod before lifting Shane up... AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
The Corporate Ministry are laid out everywhere by the Bladewolf and the Big Show!
Big Show looks at Bladewolf and extends his hand, which Bladewolf looks down at for a moment before he grasps it and shakes it. Big Show nods at him before taking his leave as Bladewolf grabs his titles and soon leaves the ring, heading to the back.
The main event finally comes with The Rock facing the Undertaker. However, before either men could make their entrance the lights then went out, followed by Kane's theme playing.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
Fire explodes on the stage as Kane's theme is replaced by The Devil's Wolf, the lights dimming to the sinister blood red and dark blue as the Bladewolf and Kane walk out together and start making their way towards the ring. Kane had his Tag Team title over his shoulder, while Bladewolf had his over his right shoulder, the WWF Championship around his waist.
Everyone was confused on why they were out here, but the Bladewolf and Kane simply walked around the ring and stood in the corner of the barricade. They were here to watch the match.
The Rock's theme hits and he comes out to a standing ovation missing an elbow pad on his left arm.
Howard Finkel said, "The following non-title match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first. From Miami, Florida, weighing 275 pounds, The Rock!"
The young man stands on the second rope with a raised eyebrow, then looks towards the Bladewolf and points at him and the title he had around his waist. The Bladewolf simply stared back with a blank gaze seen in his eyes behind the mask.
The Undertaker's slow Ministry theme plays and the lights dim to blue.
Finkel resumed, "And his opponent. Accompanied to the ring by Paul Bearer, from the Corporate Ministry, weighing 328 pounds, the Undertaker!" The Phenom advances to the bottom of the ramp and stops. He rolls his eyes back.
Suddenly Triple H's theme hits and the Cerebral Assassin steps out with Chyna and a microphone.
He said, "Rock, before Shane was rudely interrupted he was going to mention that little stipulation. The stipulation, Rock is me! It's a Triple Threat. You have to get through him and me." He puts the microphone down before removing his sleeveless shirt.
Undertaker slides into the ring and The Rock attacks him.
He spins around to attack Triple H and turns his back to the WWF Champion, who nails an uppercut. Both Triple H and Undertaker double-team Rock. Undertaker holds the leg for Triple H to stomp on Rock's arm and Undertaker then stomps until the Brahma Bull gets off the apron. His opponents exit the ring and Triple H bounces Rock's head off the announce table. The broadcast team get out of their chairs as Rock tries to get off but Undertaker punches him back on the table.
He glares at Bladewolf, remembering how he lost the Hardcore Match to him last week, and lost the WWF Championship. Bladewolf simply stares back as he and Kane continue to watch without so much as moving a muscle.
Triple H jumps off the announce table to land a forearm across the back of The Rock.
Undertaker rolls him into the ring and Rock tries fighting his way out of the corner but Undertaker pulls him back for Hunter to land a kick to the gut.
Triple H punches Rock while going up the ramp and to the stage area, Triple H holds Rock for the Undertaker to land a punch to the ribs. Rock blocks a right hand and counters with one of his own sending Undertaker reeling towards the edge of the entrance ramp and is about to send him off when Triple H grabs hold of his arms, Undertaker nails an uppercut.
Picking the Brahma Bull up, Triple H eyes the steel girder supporting the Titantron but Rock reverses the Irish whip and Hunter's face bounces off the steel. Undertaker lands a shot from behind the People's Champion.
Pulling the man to his feet, Undertaker slams Rock's face into the steel girder. Both Triple H and the Undertaker throw kicks to the mid-section then Undertaker presses his leg against Rock's throat. Triple H sets him up for a piledriver but Rock pulls Hunter's out from under him, spreads them and punches him in the manhood.
The Rock's assault pushes Undertaker back to ringside and seeks to bash the Deadman's skull off the steel steps but Undertaker blocks it with his boot and slams Rock's face off them instead.
Triple H joins the fray after recovering from getting hit in the jewels. He punches Rock then viciously attacks him, allowing Undertaker to catch his breath.
Rock stands on wobbly feet only to be knocked down by a thunderous right from the Phenom. Pinning the challenger in the corner, Undertaker drives his elbow to the side of Rock's face. Triple H Irish whips him into the opposing turnbuckle and follows him in but Rock kicks his boot up to stop the man, exploding out of the corner with a clothesline that sends Triple H to his back and Undertaker jabs The Rock before twisting the arm.
He ascends to the nearest turnbuckle, walking the top rope for Old School. Rock spots Triple H approaching out of the corner of his eye and scores a right hand, causing him to bounce off and in turn makes Undertaker lose his balance and lands on the top rope right on the groin. The Brahma Bull punches him off the rope.
Finally setting it to one on one, at least for now, The Rock hammers away at Triple H in the corner and Hunter reverses the Irish whip, kicking him in the mid-section after Rock bounces off it and prepares to hit the Pedigree but Rock breaks free, nailing the slingshot counter. Unfortunately, referee Earl Hebner was caught in the middle and falls down afterwards. The Rock looks for the Rock Bottom when Undertaker grabs hold of the man's throat and chokeslams him.
He next rolls his eyes back while running his thumb across the throat, signaling for the Tombstone. Rock escapes and shoves Undertaker into Triple H who in turn is sent out of the ring. The People's Champion at last hits the Rock Bottom and sets him up for the People's Elbow. Removing his right elbow pad, The Rock jumps over the Lord of Darkness twice before driving his elbow right in the black heart of the Deadman and hooks the leg for the 3 count but Earl Hebner's still down.
Mike Chioda charges to the ring, sliding in to do the 3 count and is about to strike the mat the third time when Chyna pulls him out and sucker punches him.
Earl Hebner comes to and starts the count when Triple H breaks it at 2. The Rock reverses an Irish whip and Chyna grabs the foot of the Deadman without looking. Undertaker glares at her and Rock sends him out to ringside where the former WWF Champion grabs her neck.
After sending Rock down with a clothesline, he sees Undertaker holding Chyna by the throat and comes to her aid, pulling Undertaker to the apron by the hair and Undertaker snaps the blonde-haired man's neck off the rope. The Rock seizes the opportunity to nail the Rock Bottom and hooks the leg. Earl Hebner's hand strikes the mat 3 times and calls for the bell. Rock rolls out of the ring before Undertaker could get his hands on him.
Howard Finkel said, "Here is your winner, The Rock!"
Back in the ring, Undertaker stares at the retreating victor then turns around to spot Chyna entering the ring. They enter a heated argument. Triple H nails a forearm to the head and Undertaker retaliates, starting a brawl between them.
However, to everyone's surprise, Bladewolf and Kane slide into the ring and start fighting Triple H! They get Triple H onto the ropes... AND DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR!
Did the Bladewolf and Kane just help their older brother?
Bladewolf eyes Undertaker from where he was down and walks towards him with Kane. The Undertaker stumbles to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE FROM BLADEWOLF! Bladewolf lifts him up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
It appears there is no reconciliation with all three brothers. Not by a long shot.
Bladewolf picks up his titles and raises the WWF Championship while standing over the Undertaker as Kane raises his arms and throws them down, causing fire to spew from the turnbuckles as his theme plays.
RAW is WAR goes off the air.
And that's it for this chapter, folks. Let me know what you think in the reviews.
