WWF SummerSlam was live at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It had been a pretty eventful night. Jeff Jarrett defeated D'Lo Brown to win the WWF European and Intercontinental Championships.
The Acolytes won the Tag Team turmoil match to become #1 Contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championship.
Al Snow defeated Big Bossman to become the new WWF Hardcore Champion.
Ivory defeated Tori to retain the WWF Women's Championship.
Ken Shamrock defeated Steve Blackman in the Lion's Den Weapons match.
Test defeated Shane McMahon in the Street Fight, to which Shane would have to give his blessing for Test and Stephanie McMahon's relationship.
The Undertaker and Kane defeated X-Pac and Big Show to win the WWF Tag Team Championship.
The Rock defeated Billy Gun in the Kiss My Ass match.
And now, it was time for the Triple Threat match for the WWF Championship.
After the video package showing the feud between the Bladewolf, Stone Cold and Triple H, the cameras cut to the arena where Jesse Ventura's theme hits and out comes the special guest referee for the match.
"Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the special guest referee... JESSE "THE BODY" VENTURA!" Howard Finkel announced.
Ventura makes his way towards the ring, dressed in a referee shirt and black pants. He enters the ring and is given the microphone from Howard Finkel. "You know, there's a lot of media saying that I'm a disgrace for being here."
The crowd booed at hearing this.
"But I'll tell you this, I'm proud to be here tonight!" Ventura declared to a pop from the fans. "I'm proud I'm a wrestler! and I'm proud I was a wrestler!"
He gave the microphone back to Howard Finkel as the cameras cut to the backstage area, showing Triple H making his way to the gorilla position with an intense look on his face, Chyna accompanying him.
Soon, Triple H's theme hits and out he comes along with Chyna. "The following contest scheduled for one-fall is the Triple Threat match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship! Introducing first, accompanied by Chyna, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing 246 lbs... TRIPLE H!"
Triple H drinks some water from his water bottle then tosses it aside before making his way to the ring. Chyna enters the ring and Ventura has some words with her, which doesn't make Triple H happy as he has a few words with the special referee of the match while his theme dies down.
The cameras cut backstage for a second time to show Stone Cold Steve Austin making his way to gorilla before the glass shatters and his theme plays to a huge pop from the crowd as the former WWF Champion walks out. "From Victoria Texas, weighing 252 lbs... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!" Howard Finkel announced.
Austin hits the ring and goes to all four corners to raise his arms then gets down and gets right in Triple H's face, the two mouthing off to each other until Ventura gets in between them to make them back up from each other.
As Austin's theme dies down, cameras cut backstage to show the Bladewolf now making his way towards gorilla with the WWF Championship on his right shoulder.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the WWF Championship around his waist, making his way towards the ring with purpose.
"And from Death Valley, representing the Brothers of Destruction, the World Wrestling Federation Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced before leaving the ring.
As Bladewolf is halfway down the walkway... TRIPLE H ATTACKS AUSTIN FROM BEHIND AND THEY GO AT IT!
Ventura calls for the bell to begin the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf stops at the ring apron, watching Austin take the fight to Triple H as he nails the Cerebral Assassin with right hands. Bladewolf then walks around the ring and over to the announce table where he removes his coat and metallic Predator-style mask before handing the WWF Championship to someone in the timekeeper's area.
He looks back at the ring at Austin reverses an Irish whip and Triple H hits the ropes only to get pulled down by his foot courtesy of Bladewolf who drags Triple H out of the ring and starts attacking him with punches, making Triple H cover up. Bladewolf grabs the back of Helmsley's head and... RAMS IT OFF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Triple H stumbles from the impact, but Bladewolf grabs him and... DOES IT A SECOND TIME! Triple H is halfway on the table now and slides off it.
Austin rolls out the ring and Bladewolf sees him before he Irish whips Triple H towards Austin who clotheslines him. Bladewolf lets Austin pass him and slides into the ring, turning to watch as Austin pulls Triple H to his feet and then... |RAMS HIS HEAD OFF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Austin pulls Triple H off the table and over to the steel steps where he... BOUNCES TRIPLE H'S HEAD OFF THEM AS WELL!
Austin pulls Triple H off the steps and lands a right hand before throwing Triple H back into the ring where the Bladewolf is waiting. Triple H stumbles to his feet only to be met with a right hand by the Bladewolf, and Triple H stumbles into a right from Austin, and then Bladewolf lands another right, followed by Austin, to Bladewolf, to Austin, to Bladewolf, to Austin, to Bladewolf, and finally Austin hits a big right that floors Triple H.
Austin says something to Bladewolf, getting a nod from the Demon Wolf, and Austin Irish whips Triple H into the ropes before he gut checks him and backs up as Bladewolf runs and floors Triple H with a big boot.
The crowd are behind Bladewolf and Austin, mostly Austin, as Bladewolf offers Austin a handshake which Austin eyes for a moment, looks at Bladewolf... and punches him in the face. this has Bladewolf retaliate with his own right punch, and the two go back and forth until Austin gains the upper hand, kicks Bladewolf in the stomach... AND GOES FOR THE STUNNER-NO! BLADEWOLF SENDS AUSTIN INTO TRIPLE H! TRIPLE H IS SENT OUT OF THE RING THROUGH THE ROPES!
Austin turns into a clothesline from Bladewolf, who hits the ropes and goes for a big boot on Austin but the Rattlesnake ducks underneath it, causing Bladewolf to go over the top rope leg over!
Austin rolls out the ring, all three men outside the ring again. The Rattlesnake grabs Triple H and sends him into the security barricade before walking over to Bladewolf who had gotten to his feet. Austin grabs him and then Irish whips him... RIGHT INTO THE STEEL STEPS!
Austin sees Triple H coming and intercepts him with a right hand, knocking Triple H down to a knee as he leans on the barricade. Austin grabs him and brings his head off the barricade. Austin lands a couple of rights on Triple H as Bladewolf, having recovered from being sent into the steel steps, walks over. Austin goes to hit him with a right but Bladewolf blocks it and counters with a right hand, then brings a big forearm across the back of the former WWF Champion. Bladewolf grabs Austin and goes for an Irish whip but Austin reverses it... AND SENDS BLADEWOLF INTO THE RING APRON!
Austin runs at him and clotheslines him, knocking the WWF Champion down. Austin takes his eyes off Bladewolf as Triple H comes to fight, and the two start going at it again with Austin kicking Triple H in the stomach, then goes for a right but Triple H blocks and counters with a hammering shot of his own that sends Austin stagger back.
Chyna gets out the way and climbs over the steel steps, stalking the Bladewolf who is getting back to his feet. Bladewolf flips his hair back, then whirls around and... PUNCHES CHYNA DOWN!
Bladewolf walks past her and sees Triple H and Austin fighting at the barricade so he takes a running sprint around the ring, towards both men and... CLOTHESLINES THEM BOTH OVER THE BARRICADE!
"Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!" The crowd chanted at the sight.
Bladewolf climbs over the barricade and grabs Triple H, tossing him over the barricade and follows after him. Triple H crawls on his hands and knees but Bladewolf brings a double axe-handle down onto his back, then pulls him up to his feet as they make it to the commentary table. Grabbing the back of Helmsley's head, Bladewolf rams it off the table. Flipping his hair back, Bladewolf tilts Triple H's chin up, then lands a sharp right before he begins hammering away on Triple H's forehead with furious right hands.
Once he stops, Triple H falls to his knees, leaning against the announce table. Bladewolf spots a cable cord nearby and picks it up... THEN WRAPS IT AROUND TRIPLE H'S NECK! HE'S CHOKING THE LIFE OUT OF TRIPLE H! Bladewolf pulls and wrenches as Triple H is writhing, struggling to get out of this.
Seeing Austin coming over the barricade, Bladewolf releases Triple H and walks over, clobbering Austin with a right hand. Bladewolf then heads into the ring, flipping his hair back as he paces around. Austin makes his way over and starts climbing onto the ring apron... WHEN TRIPLE H SMACKS A STEEL CHAIR RIGHT OFF AUSTIN'S INJURED LEFT KNEE!
Triple H tosses the chair aside and slides into the ring. Ventura walks over, seeing Austin down on the ground and a chair nearby. He starts arguing with Triple H who argues back. Taking advantage of this, Bladewolf comes up behind Triple H and clobbers him from behind. Pulling Triple H back to his feet, Bladewolf throws some punches, getting Triple H onto the ropes then Irish whips him across the ring. Triple H comes back and hits the... KNEE-TO-THE-FACE! Bladewolf goes stumbling back into the corner, shaking his head, but Triple H walks over and lands a clubbing right across his masked face.
Triple H then unleashes an onslaught of hammering right punches, and then stomps on Bladewolf repeatedly once he's sitting down in the corner. Triple H pulls him to his feet and goes for an Irish whip, Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes, ducks a right from Triple H who turns only to get his right arm grabbed and wrenched, causing triple H to grit his teeth in pain.
Bladewolf wrenches the arm a couple of times then backs into the corner and starts going up top, looking for Old School... BUT CHYNA PULLED ON HIS LEG AND HE LANDS GROIN FIRST ON THE TURNBUCKLE!
Having seen it, Ventura ejects Chyna from ringside. "Get out! You're out of here!" Ventura points to the back.
Triple H comes up and starts arguing with Ventura. Halfway up the walkway, Austin comes charging and takes Triple H down with a clothesline. Back in the ring, the Bladewolf takes a moment to recover from what just happened and pulls himself down off the turnbuckle, sitting in the corner for a moment to rest.
Austin continues fighting with Triple H with ruthless intentions as he grabs the man and drives him into the security barricade. The two fight over to the entrance set and Austin sends Triple H into a part of the set-up, then sends him kidney-first into one of the metal guard railing.
Grabbing him, Austin pulls Triple H to his feet and brings him towards the ring, briefly stopping to drive his knee into Triple H's midsection. Eventually, they reach the ring and Austin throws Triple H back inside. triple H crawls and rolls over to the corner, grabbing Austin's leg and making him fall onto his back, with a little help from Austin's left knee buckling. Triple H grabs the left leg and rams it off the steel ring post!
As Austin sits there in pain, Triple H lands a right hand, then grabs the left leg and... DRIVES IT INTO THE METAL POST AGAIN! Austin pushes himself out of the corner, stumbling, his leg in pain from the abuse it's been given. Triple H slides into the ring and chop blocks Austin's left leg, bringing the Rattlesnake down onto his back. He crawls over to the corner, trying to get a chance to recover, but Triple H is not letting up as he walks over and stomps away on Austin.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks out the corner, walking over and pushes Triple H out of the way to start stomping on Austin a couple of times. Triple H shoves him out of the way and stomps on Austin, then Bladewolf shoves him back and the two get in each other's faces... before they both start stomping away on Austin.
The crowd boos this as Bladewolf presses his boot down on Austin's head then stops as Triple H walks over. They pull Austin to his feet and out of the corner, Irish whip off the ropes and floor the Texas Rattlesnake with a double clothesline. Bladewolf jumps up and lands a leg drop across the chest. Triple H attempts to lock in a Figure Four but Bladewolf shoves him off and covers Austin. ONE! TWO-! Triple H breaks the pain with a kick.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and attacks Triple H with a right, but Triple H blocks it and counters with a punch of his own but Bladewolf blocks that and lands a right hook, then a fury of punches that stagger Triple H backwards, getting him on the ropes. Bladewolf sizes him for a moment then clotheslines him over the top rope. Bladewolf adjusts his elbow pads briefly before he exits the ring, seeing Triple H leaning on the steel steps then rushes towards him... BUT TRIPLE H MOVES OUT THE WAY AND BLADEWOLF COLLIDED WITH THE STEEL STEPS HARD!
Bladewolf goes down, clutching his side front which took the brunt of the impact.
Now with Bladewolf temporarily out of the picture, Austin and Triple H focus on each other as the Rattlesnake grabs the Cerebral Assassin from inside the ring, pulling him up onto the apron by gripping the sides of his head. However, Triple H counters by bringing Austin down, snapping his head off the ropes which sends the former WWF Champion down onto his back.
Pacing outside the ring a little, Triple H grabs Austin's legs and pulls him over to the steel ring post, getting his legs on both sides but only focuses on the left leg which he then slams off the steel ring H then delivers a right hand to Austin's head, knocking the Rattlesnake onto his back before he grabs both of Austin's legs... BUT AUSTIN PULLS HIS LEGS IN AND TRIPLE H GOES FACE-FIRST INTO THE STEEL RING POST!
Dazed, Triple H stumbles back against the barricade while Austin gets out the ring, charges and... CLOTHESLINES TRIPLE H OVER THE BARRICADE! Austin climbs over the barricade and takes the fight ot Triple H, now in the crowd.
As Austin hammers away on Triple H with shots to the head, Bladewolf had recovered from hitting the steel steps and climbs over the barricade, running over to deliver a forearm to the back of Austin. Bladewolf brings down his forearm on his back repeatedly before he looks to set him up for a powerbomb but Austin lifts him up and over... AND BLADEWOLF SLAMS DOWN ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR HARD!
Focusing back on Triple H, Austin assaults him with an onslaught of right hooks, dazing the man temporarily before he grabs him and throws him over the barricade. Austin climbs over the barricade, albeit a bit slowly which gives Triple H time to get to his feet and quickly attack Austin, laying him against the barricade as he lands a right hook and then another... WHEN BLADEWOLF LEAPS OVER THE BARRICADE AND TAKES BOTH MEN DOWN!
"Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!" The crowd chanted, surprised at that.
Bladewolf gets to his feet, flipping his hair back and adjusting his right elbow pad. He grabs Austin and pulls him up and then runs with him... BEFORE THROWING HIM INTO THE STEEL STEPS!
Picking Austin up, Bladewolf tosses him back into the ring and slides in after him while Triple H slowly gets back into the ring, recovering from the tackle by Bladewolf. Austin is in the corner and Bladewolf walks over to him but Austin starts throwing some hands, landing punch after punch, gaining some momentum and he drops Bladewolf with a right hand then turns his attention to Triple H, landing a right hand then pulls Triple H to the corner but the Cerebral Assassin starts fighting back, struggling... AND AUSTIN SUBTLY HITS A LOW BLOW!
Triple H goes down but Austin pulls him back to his feet and lands a punch, making Triple H lean against the ropes. Austin lands a few punches, bringing Triple H down to his knees and Austin turns to do the same to Bladewolf who had gotten to his feet, getting him into the corner. Austin then drives his shoulder repeatedly into Bladewolf's midsection before nailing a big right hand.
Austin then turns into a boot to the gut from Triple H, who sets him up... AND GOES FOR THE PEDIGREE-! NO! AUSTIN GRABS TRIPLE H'S LEGS AND PULLS HIM DOWN ONTO HIS BACK! Straightening up. Austin holds Triple H's legs then... CATAPULTS HIM INTO BLADEWOLF WHO CLOTHESLINES HIM WITH A CLEAVER-LIKE HIT!
Triple H rolls out of the ring and starts grabbing a chair while Bladewolf turns into a kick to the gut from Austin... WHO NAILS THE STUNNER! STONE COLD STUNNER! AUSTIN COVERS BLADEWOLF! ONE! TWO! THRE-! TRIPLE H BRINGS THE STEEL CHAIR DOWN ONTO AUSTIN'S BACK!
"Hey!" Ventura walks over to Triple H, pointing at the chair. "What's this bullshit?!"
Triple H ignores Ventura and eyes Bladewolf who gets to his feet before rearing the chair back and... SMACKS IT RIGHT ON HIS HEAD! BUT BLADEWOLF DOES NOT GO DOWN! Triple H drops the chair, kicks him in the stomach, hooks the arms and... HITS THE PEDIGREE! TRIPLE H HOOKS THE LEGS! BUT VENTURA REFUSES TO COUNT!
Triple H gets to his feet and storms over to Ventura, shouting at him with Ventura arguing right back at him. Triple H goes for the cover again but Ventura refuses to not count. Triple H confronts Ventura, the two looking ready to fight until Shane McMahon runs down and slides into the ring.
"No! No! No!" He got between them and confronted Ventura. "Who do you think you are?! You count! That's your job!"
"He hit him with a chair!" Ventura countered.
Austin, who had gotten back to his feet, whips Shane around, gives him the double middle finger then kicks him in the gut and... HITS THE STUNNER ON SHANE MCMAHON! Austin gets in Shane's face, talking trash, then points to Ventura and then out of the ring before pointing at Shane.
Ventura nods and pulls Shane to his feet and then... THROWS HIM OUT OF THE RING! SHANE MCMAHON HAS BEEN EJECTED FROM RINGSIDE!
"That's for your old man, you little bastard!" Ventura shouted down to Shane.
Triple H attacks Austin while he's distracted, then Irish whips him but Austin reverses it. Triple H bounces off the ropes, ducks a right from Austin, rebounds off the ropes and... BOTH MEN TAKE EACH OTHER DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE!
Ventura starts to count both men, even though there's no count outs or DQs in a Triple Threat match. He had just gotten to four... WHEN BLADEWOLF SITS UP!
Bladewolf gets to his feet and sees both his challengers are down and raises his right hand, signalling a Chokeslam is looming while waiting for either men to get to their feet. Austin and Triple H stumble to their feet and Austin turns... INTO A GOOZLE! BLADEWOLF'S GOT AUSTIN! Triple H runs at Bladewolf... BIT GETS CAUGHT BY THE THROAT AS WELL! BLADEWOLF HAS BOTH MEN BY THEIR THROATS! Bladewolf looks to hit a double Chokeslam... BIT AUSTIN KICKS HIM BETWEEN THE LEGS! Bladewolf bends forward in pain and Austin grabs him... BEFORE HITTING THE STUNNER!
Bladewolf snaps upright, stumbling into a kick to the midsection from Triple H who sets him up, hooks the arms... AND HITS THE PEDIGREE! Triple H stumbles to his feet and Austin nails a clothesline. After a few seconds, all three men get back to their feet and Austin goes on the attack, striking both Bladewolf and Triple H back and forth, then grabs both men and... BASHES THEIR HEADS TOGETHER!
Bladewolf stumbles back while Austin kicks Triple H in the gut... AND HITS THE STUNNER! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF BREAKS UP THE PIN! SAVING HIS TITLE!
Bladewolf gets to his feet and pulls Austin to his. He goes to irish whip Austin into the corner but Austin reverses it, sending Bladewolf into the corner and runs, hitting a turnbuckle clothesline before he turns around into a boot to the stomach from Triple H who hooks his arms and... HITS THE PEDIGREE! Triple H gets to his feet... AND BLADEWOLF TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A SPEAR!
"This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome!" The fans chanted, clapping between chants.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and eyes Austin who pulls himself up using the ropes and turns around only to be lifted up into a fireman's carry and Bladewolf... HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf rolls onto his back. "Here is your winner and STILL World Wrestling Federation Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced as Ventura went to get the WWF Title.
Bladewolf sits up in the ring, his body in pain but he fights through it as he gets to his feet. He takes his title from Ventura and draps it over his right shoulder, looking around at the crowd then glances down at his title before leaving the ring, making his way to the back.
Not even looking back as Triple H attacks Austin's left leg with a steel chair.
