St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House: 14/2/1999
Match card
1. Goldust vs Bluedust in a Singles match.
2. Bob Holly vs Al Snow w/Head in a Hardcore match for the vacant WWF Hardcore Championship.
3. Big Boss Man vs Mideon in a Singles match.
4. Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart (c) w/Debra vs The Brothers of Destruction in a Tag team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship.
5. Ken Shamrock (c) vs Val Venis w/Ryan Shamrock in a Singles match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship with Billy Gunn as special guest referee.
6. The Corporation vs D-Generation X in a Tag team match.
7. Mankind (c) vs. The Rock in a Last Man Standing match for the WWF Championship.
8. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Mr. McMahon in a Steel Cage match to determine the #1 contender for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XV.
WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House was live at the Memphis Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee. The opening match began with Goldust delivering a spinebuster to Bluedust. Bluedust's attempt to back body drop his opponent to reverse affairs was met with a punch in the face, causing him to flee until Goldust brought him back into the ring and tried to deliver Shattered Dreams but Bluedust escaped the position and kicked a running Goldust to the ground. His attempt at a Meaniesault miscued and when he rose to his feet, Goldust used the Curtain Call to pin him then successfully delivering Shattered Dreams after the pinfall.
The hardcore match between the two J.O.B. Squad members began with Al Snow throwing Bob Holly out of the ring and hitting him with a chair before throwing him into the crowd. By the first tier of fans Holly managed to reverse things, finding a chair to strike Snow with before blinding him with a fire extinguisher and breaking a glass jar over Snow's head. Snow returned with a blast from the fire extinguisher going through to the backstage area where he was thrown into technical boxes. Holly then found floor tiles to break over Snow's head as well as a beer cooler. Snow managed to escape into the car park, using mop handles to break over Holly's back. The two found their way past the car park onto the banks of the Mississippi River. Snow kicked Holly to the floor and choked him before throwing him into the river, Snow being dragged into the river soon after. Snow escaped the river but Holly chased him, tripping him over to wrap Snow in a chain fence, making it virtually impossible to kick out of the pin fall.
The third match began with Big Boss Man gaining an advantage by delivering a low blow to Mideon. He then chased him out the ring with a chair but hit it against the ring post after which Mideon countered by biting Boss Man's fingers. Inside the ring Boss Man dominated Mideon, throwing him round and jumping on him, using the ropes to choke him and jump on him. Although Mideon offered some attempts at fighting back, he ran into a Big Boss Slam and was pinned. As the match ended, the ring was surrounded by the Ministry of Darkness and the lights then went off as The Undertaker made his way to the ring. When the lights came back on Boss Man was being held down in the ring while Viscera delivered three big splashes to him before being carried away by the Ministry.
Up next was the WWF Tag Team Championship match.
In the arena, the lights went out to a pop from the fans as Kane's theme starts up.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
Fire explodes on the stage as Kane's theme is replaced byThe Devil's Wolf,the lights dimming to the sinister blood red and dark blue as the Bladewolf and Kane walk out together and start making their way towards the ring.
"The following Tag Team contest is scheduled for one-fall and is for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship! Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 636 lbs, the Brothers of Destruction... KANE & THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced.
Kane and the Bladewolf reach the end of the ramp and climb onto the ring apron together. They step over the top rope and Bladewolf removes his coat and metallic mask, revealing the wolf one underneath, while Kane walks to the center of the ring and begins raising his arms. He throws them down, causing fire to spew from the turnbuckles as the lights return to normal.
Bladewolf and Kane stand together and face the stage.
Jeff Jarrett's music hit to boos as the WWF Tag Team Champions walk out with Debra and start making their way towards the ring.
"And their opponents. Accompanied by Debra, at a combined weight of 461 pounds, they are the World Wrestling Federation Tag-Team Champions, Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett!" Howard Finkel announced before leaving the ring.
The Champs make their way into the ring while Debra stays outside. Bladewolf and Kane continue to stare, hardly moving except a slight shift of their heads. The referee soon holds up the titles, showing they are on the line, before handing them to someone at ringside.
Kane and Jeff Jarrett remain in the ring as Bladewolf and Owen Hart get out onto the apron. The referee soon calls for the bell to start the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Kane and Jeff Jarrett start things off with a lock up and Kane Irish whips Jarrett into the ropes and nails him with a big boot when he comes running back. Kane stomps away on the TagTeam Champion then misses a running elbow drop that he quickly shakes off.
Jeff Jarrett attacks the masked man's leg, trying to get Kane off his feet but the big man won't go down. Switching strategies Jarrett runs into the ropes for a series of clotheslines but each of them felt like running into a brick wall. Kane turns a last running clothesline into a tilt-a-whirl back breaker and goes for a cover.
"One!"
"Two-!"
Jarrett kicks out at two.
Not deterred, Kane places Jarrett in a headlock and the referee asks him if he gives up. Jeff fights his way to his feet and elbows Kane in the gut to free himself from the hold. The Big Red Machine catches Jarrett coming off the ropes, clutching him by the throat, and prepares to chokeslam him when he counters and... CONNECTS WITH A DDT!
Kane sits up right away and readjusts his glove. He suspends Jarrett over his head then slams him to the ground. Kane pulls Jarrett to his feet and manhandles him into the corner, where he inflicts uppercuts that launch the Tag Team Champion off his feet. Next he chokes the man to the count of 4, whirling on the referee who quickly backs off fearfully.
Jarrett surprises Kane all of a sudden with punches and brings him over to tag Owen Hart in. They try a double suplex but Kane counters it with his own using that raw power he possesses. Kane walks over and tags in his brother, who comes in and faces down Owen Hart.
Owen tries to go for a lock up but Bladewolf lands a kick to the midsection, sending Owen to a knee. Bladewolf brings his forearms down onto Owen's back, sending the man onto his front on the mat. As Owen slowly starts getting back to his feet, Bladewolf drives his foot into Owen's ribss, causing the man to cough and groan in pain.
Bladewolf pulls Owen to his feet and shoves him into the corner then drives his knee into Owen's midsection, followed by pulling him by his arm and into a close clothesline that floors the former European Champion. Bladewolf then starts delivering some hard stomps to Owen's midsection.
Bladewolf keeps up the assault, but Owen finally rolls out of the ring to avoid it.
Bladewolf flips his hair back before exiting the ring, going straight after Owen. Bladewolf snapped his glare towards Debra, scaring her away, before focusing back on Owen.
Bladewolf walks up to Owen, when the Tag Team Champion whirled around and lands a right hand that makes Bladewolf back off a few steps. Owen then walks up and lands another right hand.
Owen keeps up the assault before he knees Bladewolf in the stomach, brings his forearm down onto the back of the former Intercontinental Champion before he wraps his arms around him and then drives Bladewolf's back into the ring apron, earning a grunt from the man. Owen then unloads with a series of lefts and rights to the Bladewolf's midsection, causing him to cover him, so Owen resorts to kicking at Bladewolf's legs.
Owen rams Bladewolf's head off the apron before tossing him back into the ring. Owen slides in and crawls over to hook the legs.
"One!"
"Tw-!"
Bladewolf kicks out with force and sits right up to a cheer from the crowd as Owen's eyes widened. Bladewolf snapped his gaze to Owen... AND GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT!
Owen struggles as Bladewolf gets to his feet, ready to Chokeslam him, but Owen breaks the hold and rams into Bladewolf, sending both men to the floor but Owen quickly gets to his feet and grabs Bladewolf's legs, trying to turn him over and go for the Sharpshooter.
Bladewolf pulls his legs in and kicks Owen back. Bladewolf gets to his feet and Owen charges at him only to be met with a huge clothesline that floors him.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and grabs Owen, dragging him over to his corner where he tags Kane back in. Kane comes in and lands a leg drop across owen's chest while Bladewolf held him down. Bladewolf gets out onto the ring apron as Kane goes to work on Owen.
The crowd goes wild as Debra gets on the apron and uses her charms to try in woe Kane. This distraction allows Owen to nail Kane from behind and makes him eat the canvas. Owen hits a running knee drop though Kane's mask softened the blow.
He goes for a cover.
"One-!"
Kane kicks out with authority.
Owen places a headlock on the 7 footer, who gets to his feet and lifts Owen halfway in the air then makes Hart crash to the canvas. Kane then walks over to the corner and starts climbing the top turnbuckle before he leaps off... AND NAILS THE FLYING CLOTHESLINE!
Grabbing a handful of the blonde's hair, Kane knees him in the chest then brings him over to his corner before tagging Bladewolf back in. Kane holds Owen down, allowing Bladewolf tom stomp away on the exposed midsection, Kane soon lets go of Owen and gives him a single kick before getting out onto the ring apron as Bladewolf continues to assault the Tag Team Champion.
Bladewolf pulls Owen to his feet when Owen thumbs the eyeholes of the Demon Wolf's mask, blinding him temporarily, and quickly takes advantage by kicking the back of the right leg which drops the big man onto his back. Owen repeatedly attacks the legs until Bladewolf kicks at him, causing Owen to back off. Bladewolf starts getting to his feet when Owen charges at him... BUT IS CAUGHT BY THE THROAT!
With the crowd cheering, Bladewolf lifts Owen up but Owen jumps out of his hold and Bladewolf turns into a boot to the stomach followed by a... DDT!
Owen takes the moment to breathe... WHEN THE BLADEWOLF SITS UP!
Bladewolf snaps his dark gaze to Owen and gets to his feet as Owen quickly goes on the offensive with repeated punches to the masked face of his oppoenent but Bladewolf shoves him into the ropes, to which Jarrett tags himself in as Bladewolf clotheslines Owen down. Jarrett runs in and dropkicks Bladewolf, making him stumble back before Jarrett charges again and hits a clothesline that knocks Bladewolf onto his back before he sits up again.
Jarrett sends the Bladewolf into the ropes and catches him in a kick to the midsection... FOLLOWED BY A DDT AGAIN!
Jarrett hooks the leg! "One!"
"Two!"
"Thr-!"
Bladewolf throws him off.
Jarrett buries his shoulder in the Demon Wolf's gut but fails to see Kane tag himself in. The masked man pulls Jarrett away from his brother and plans on chokeslamming him to hell when Jarrett... NAILS A LOW BLOW!
The referee didn't see it thanks to Debra distracting him.
Jarrett takes Kane down using a running bulldog and upon standing up he watches the 7 footer sit up yet again.
Jeff stands over Kane when the 326 pounder grabs his throat and stands up. He goes for the Chokeslam when Jarrett counters using the sleeper hold, Kane starts feeling the flow of blood being cut from his brain. But the Big Red Machine separates the blonde's arms and slams him to the canvas. Kane shakes his head to restore circulation.
Owen gets the tag and comes at Kane, assaulting the big man with lefts and rights then knocks him down with a spinning heel kick. Wasting no time he grabs Kane's legs for the Sharpshooter when the middle brother of the Undertaker shoves him away. Kane had to give Owen credit for being tenacious but that won't save his precious Tag-Team Championship in the end.
Owen fights Kane into the corner and manages to lift him up onto the top turnbuckle before he climbs up, sets Kane up and... HITS A SUPERPLEX! Both men collided with the mat hard as the crowd cheered at the sight. Owen crawls over and covers the Big Red Machine!
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thre-!"
Kane kicks out again.
Owen runs into the ropes for an attack then Kane catches him by the throat, lifts him up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Kane flips his hair back and signals for the Tombstone Piledriver before he turns around to see Jarrett standing there, guitar in hand... AND JARRETT SMACKS THE GUITAR RIGHT OFF KANE'S HEAD!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Kane, unaffected, delivers a big boot to Jarrett who goes down and rolls out of the ring quickly, regrouping with Owen and Debra as Kane and Bladewolf stand together in the ring.
"The winners of this bout as a result of a disqualification... KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced to cheers. "However, a championship cannot change hands by disqualification, therefore STILL World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett!"
The crowd booed as Kane and the Bladewolf looked enraged while the Tag Team Champiosn bragged, raising their titles and taunting the brothers.
This was far from over between the two teams.
