'thought'
"Speech"
"Tvs, Radios, and Text via book or newspaper... when those are around..."
A blonde banged man lets out a low hum as he struts through the long hallways of the Grigori Hq.
Those brats, how they managed to make something so futuristic is honestly staggering.
He shakes his head and lets out a sigh.
Incredible potential. Give them a couple hundred years and who knows what they'll be doing. Mittelt might even far surpass him, and Suzutsu... will be dead of old age.
Eh. Nah. He'll figure something out long before then.
They really opened up the market for a new type of game. There goes his idea for Azazel Quest. Damn.
But merely on the first day, they've discovered quite a bit.
Firstly, of the eight thousand five hundred and sixty seven people who have logged in since the Eden systems had been delivered yesterday, there have been one hundred and thirty one sacred gear pings, forty seven of which being quite potent locked- or weaker activated- sacred gears.
Suzutsu upgraded the sacred gear sensor to detect how much magical 'radiation' the gears put out.
He did this seemingly out of pettiness against Serafall.
Funny.
Anyways, with the official release of the game, it's likely there will be thousands if not tens of thousands of new sacred gear wielders discovered. most without any form of connection to the supernatural.
And that means new recruits! New sacred gears for him to take a look at!
Sure, it'll make the other factions a little uneasy, but he might throw them a bone here and there.
Leak a little information every now and then.
He gets a message, causing him to glance down at his wrist watch.
Those brats really do make some incredible stuff.
Mini Merlin: Btw. I scrubbed any and all information from my brother's Sacred Gear Data. I figured I'd tell you now instead of waiting for you to figure it out yourself.
Huh?
That is... strange. Why would he-
Mini Merlin: Longini.
Ah. Fuck. That puts him in a bit of a pickle, but at the very least he removed him from the system so nobody gets it in their heads to go 'deal' with him or try pressganging him.
He sends a message back.
Azazel: "Do you know which one?"
Mini Merlin: Nope. Domain of Magic will figure it out within time, though. Gave each Longinus a unique magic. With more play time, DoM's Ai's will continue observing at the radiation signature. At a later point It'll generate a quest for them.
it'd be a headache and a half where he'd have to explain why a cadre position is suddenly empty because they tested the restraint of one of their researchers.
Speaking of Cadres...
He pauses above the training field, where he spies a tall man with long dark hair, pale skin and pointed ears repeatedly thrusting and slashing a sword of light at a target dummy.
Perhaps? Hn. Probably not... but it wouldn't hurt to try.
Six pairs of wings spring from the man's back as he floats down into the training field.
"Kokabiel." The man mutters, causing the other fallen to whirl around and glare.
"Yes, Azazel?" He growls.
"Are you still going to try and cause another great war?" The blond banged man mutters.
"We could easily win! Crush our foes! Destroy our enemies! We have the advantage here!" The man snaps.
"Perhaps..." Azazel mutters, causing the black haired man to pause, that is one of the only times Azazel has conceded to Kokabiel's fallen superiority points. "But... we'd take heavy losses... the other factions would see us as a rabid dog, injured, and easy to take out. What you are asking for is the death of our race... of the entire Christan faction."
The man clenches his fists and glares at the floor. "Those cowards would take advantage of us. But I you know why I fell Azazel."
"I do." The Governor General of the Grigori mutters. "Lust... Lust for combat... for battle."
"I cannot go against my sin, Azazel." The pale man grits out.
Azazel smirks, as if he won, because he probably has. "Well, then... I think I might have a solution for you."
Kokabiel narrows his eyes. "I do not have time for your games, Azazel."
"What if I told you... that there is a way... for you to fight and kill foes on par with yourself, hell, considerably stronger than yourself, with no potential fallout or destructive retribution?" Azazel hums.
There is a mad glint in Kokabiel's eye for a moment. "I'm listening..."
Ah, there's great war Kokabiel. Battle hungry, but not unreasonable. Not eager to disrupt peace, yet still desiring life or death conflict.
"I know you don't really keep up with the Projects that the Grigori scientists are working on... yet, there's a certain one that might catch your attention."
"Get to the point, Watcher." The cadre scoffs.
Azazel smirks. "One of our researchers created an entirely new world... a game... a game where you can touch, see, hear, taste, and smell. He created this world and this game, filled it full of monsters, then released it as a simple game to the humans and the supernatural."
"Tch- you expect me to find fighting humans amusing?!"
"It's quite simple, in the game, you create a character, a weak character... everyone starts equal. And you can do whatever you want... kill, maim, destroy, create an entire civilization if you wanted. You might think human are pathetic wastes of space, yet in this game, they could gain power considerably fast. A thing called 'pro gamers' exist, and in this world, eventually they would be capable of shaping nations... you can fight beasts, dragons, demons, all to your heart's content."
Kokabiel is silent for a moment. "I would start from the bottom? Weakening myself and testing my skill upon those who are on par or stronger than myself?"
"Correct. And you can do anything in this world. If you wanted, you could gather followers, create a guild, and declare war on the entire world. A war of mages, martial artists, assassins, and knights of considerable skill."
"Of course, it might take a while for truly skilled humans to show up in the world, yet there are quite a few devil houses already invested... they see it as free training. In the game their physical abilities won't pass over, yet the muscle mem-"
"Stop." Kokabiel states as he ponders for a moment.
"I'm in." The man states before gaining a feral grin. "I will use this new world of yours to sate my bloodlust. I will bring it to its knees."
The blond tipped man smiles. "Well then, let's go find you a pod. I'll do you a favor, brother to brother and see about getting someone to remove the sixteen hour beta cap for you."
He hopes the kids will forgive him for unleashing this upon their carefully crafted world... better there than out here. If he can stave off war for even just another century, he believes he could create a truce between the three factions.
Getting out frustrations and grudges in the brat's world just might be a key piece of it.
"AAAAAHHHH"
I watch another person get torn to shred by wolves.
"Huh... This is probably going to be pretty traumatizing..." I note. "Oh well. Whatever. Sink or swim, bitch."
Let Eden's very own Yui sort them out.
My head snaps to the side.
I can see a very well defined man, chiseled jaw, indescribably muscular... he looks a bit like that gigachad meme from my last life.
There's also something extremely noticeable about him. The specially gifted cosmetic panties atop his head, his eyes peering through the leg holes.
Boobmaster69 {Lv 1}
He is about to have a wolf tear out his throat, he is cowering slightly.
"Damn it issei." I whisper.
I lunge forwards, reaching the wolf before its jaws can snap shut.
I hold it by the scruff and cancel my invisibility.
"I think you should focus on non-combat quests before you start trying to defeat wolves." I slowly state. "They are just a bit out of your level range."
Wolf {Lv 4}
"I could have taken it!" He protests.
"Dude... do you even know how to throw an actual punch?" I question.
"I do!"
"No you don't." I continue, hurling the wolf away and snapping my fingers, trapping it in a box.
"I do!" He states.
"Then throw one. Right here." I gesture to the side.
He raises his hands and punches forwards, causing me to facepalm. "Oh my gods dude..."
"You won't get any force like that. Plant your feet. If you want a punch to really hurt, you've got to be stable. Transfer more of that kinetic energy. Like this."
My knees bend slightly as I do a few lightning fast jabs into the air, followed by a powerful right hook.
Issei- I know it's him because I made sure to give him that panty hat cosmetic- tries to follow along with my instructions.
"Bend your knees a little bit more, turn your hand a little when you punch. Put your shoulder into it."
He tries again.
*Ping*
He looks to the side. "huh?"
Unarmed Combat (Basic) [Passive] {Level 1} {Exp: 0.1%}
The basics of unarmed combat, with each level your strength grows more and more.
You deal 1% more Unarmed damage.
"Alright, let's try this again."
"Wait what-" he begins.
I release the wolf from its cage of archive magic.
"WAIT WAIT-"
"Punch. Punch like your life depends on it boob master... because it does!" I cackle.
The wolf lunges for his throat-
"BURN!" He shouts as he manages to punch it in the side of the head, knocking it back with a small yipe. A small gout of fire flashes out alongside his punch, setting the wolf ablaze for a short moment as it is given a brief damage over time debuff.

"Kick! Kick it!" I order.
While the dog is reeling, the teen follows my order, landing a crushing kick on the side of the wolf.
"Pin it down and punch it some more!" I call out.
The teen tackles the wolf and proceeds to repeatedly punch it while its down.
He eventually kills it, his experience rising quite a bit.
{Level: 1} (4.8%)
"Not bad..." I hum, cupping my chin, and looking over the wolf as it explodes into light, leaving behind a few coins and an entire pelt. "Not bad at all. Only you would be capable of doing something like this with your current stat distribution... and you were smart enough to put quite a bit into agility as well. Had you gone all in with strength it surely would have outmaneuvered you and killed you. However, in the future, once the game releases, I'd suggest being a bit more well-rounded. As you are now, you're playing a game called domain of magic without magic."
"Well, we won't get magic till later, right?" He asks. "So... Magic doesn't really matter that much in the beta, then."
"..."
"Huh. That's strangely thought out for the man with a panty hat." I snort. "I would personally recommend if you want to continue this path... go back to Magnolia and pick up some sort of weapon. A greater reach would be useful in killing wolves."
"Hey! Just because I'm a pervert doesn't mean I'm not smart!" Issei shouts.
"Alright, Chillax Gigachad. I know." I roll my eyes with a small smirk. "So. How are you enjoying the game, then?"
"It's incredible!" He gasps, "I can't wait until I see dozens of hot babes in skimpy armor! Like that Erza chick!"
"Of course, that's your takeaway from this." I sigh dramatically. "Ah well. Whatever. Oh, and for the record, there is a boss in this forest called a Vulcan. Roughly level ten. Think giant twelve foot tall gorilla with a strength stat of about forty so it'll obliterate you, so maybe don't go running in... that direction."
I point to the side.
"I... Okay?" The teen mutters.
"Wait... you are the creator of this game, right?" Issei begins. "You seem, familiar."
"Strange." I state. "I don't really tend to get out much, though."
"You are really familiar." He corrects. "I just can't put my finger on it."
"Don't think too deep on it. You'll hurt your pervert brain." I scoff as with another flex of magic, I disappear under a cloak of invisibility.
I watch a black haired young man slash a wolf across the side with a longsword.
It's clear he is quite skilled with a blade. He has some sort of prior experience.
Judging by the way he is holding his sword, it's Kendo.
He brings the blade down, freeing its head from its body.
It's not a very expensive sword, the blade made of simple copper, but, it's good enough to kill a wolf, I suppose.
It seems that instead of going into the magic shop- where even the worst items cost about ten thousand jewel- he talked to the Npcs and found a blacksmith and got himself a sword and some copper forearm guards.
That sword is worth about five thousand jewel... or about fifty dollars. The gauntlets are about the same, so he really pinched some pennies.
Regardless, he is doing quite well for himself.
Well, that's obvious considering one little factor about him.
Kirito: {Lv 2}
The fact that he's level two and it has only been like three hours so far. The first two hours being time to explore magnolia, and walk hour here, and the last hour be fighting.
Not bad progress... not bad at all.
That's to be expected from a protagonist, I guess.
Of course, his rate of leveling will slow down as he grows stronger. It looks like he has killed quite a few already judging by the fact his experience now is about twenty five percent full.
"Not bad." I call out, canceling my invisibility.
The black haired swordsman pauses and looks over, a small frown on his face.
"Kendo, right?" I ask.
"Yeah..." He nods slowly.
"You seem a bit out of practice." I observe.
The teen flinches slightly, looking to his sword.
"How can you tell?" He questions.
"Oh, just a few little mistakes here and there, overall, though, you fight pretty well, thus I know you aren't a total newbie at it." I list. "My only critique is that you aren't really using that magic ring you have."
"The movements required for it just don't really fit in with my style." The teen sighs.
"That's true, I suppose." I admit. "It sort of a balancing act of continuing to do something you're good at or correcting your style to make it better for combat."
He looks to his sword.
"Kendo isn't really meant for real combat. In here, at least. The swords aren't really heavy enough to benefit from using two hands, and in Domain of Magic, a free hand is worth more than the slight stability increase you'd get from using two hands."
There is a dull glow as a magic circle appears above my left hand.
With a flash a sword made of achieve magic screens falls into my waiting hand.
I give it a swift slash through the air.
I lift my right hand, a green magic circle appearing. "Like, instead of wielding it in two hands, you can cast a spell."
A dart of wood shoots from my fingertips and pierces cleanly through a nearby tree trunk.
"Use a shield."
A floating barrier appears on my forearm as I use archive magic again.
"Heck, even use two weapons." I finish as the shield breaks down and a second sword falls into my waiting grasp.
I do several rapid slashes and stabs. "You need to remember that in Domain of Magic, it's likely that you won't be facing people in melee combat. Sure, it'll happen often, but in here, people are just as likely to use gun magic or some other spell... so it's useful to have a ranged option of your own. Maybe some sort of wind slash, or fireball spell."
"I'll probably mess around with some of the shop items... they're just so expensive."
"Hey, like I said, with that ring you can join a guild to get some more experience."
"Oh. I did. I joined fairy tail. I just didn't think it was worth it to run all the way back to Magnolia after completing my slay twenty wolves quest. The guild hall would probably be pretty crowded by now."
"Oh, so you haven't even claimed your quest rewards, huh." I mutter. "For kill quests like this, you'll get more money and experience for going above and beyond the quest requirement. The rewards are increased for every increment of the main quest, so if you plan to go back, try to get to a multiple of twenty first. But be aware that it'll have diminishing returns."
"I honestly lost count of how many I killed." Kirito mutters.
"Ah." I mutter. "I forgot, the downsides of not having archive magic. Regardless, how has your experience been so far?"
"This is unreal. The fact that I can see, hear, smell, and touch everything like it is real life?" He mutters.
The corners of his mouth turn upwards. "This is a good game."
"I'm glad you enjoy it. Will I be seeing you at the wyvern raid in about five- out of game- days?" I question.
"You may." He replies.
"I'll leave you to this, then." I announce as I turn and begin walking away. Before I make it ten steps I turn myself invisible again and open the archive map.
With infinite mana I'm easily able to map out the entire playable area with indescribable detail. Each and every person and their exact location.
'Ah. Looks like Issei went back to town. Kirito here is the only person out this far.'
In quiet moments like this... I wonder what sort of magic I want to use...
I'm definitely not using plant magic. Too basic. Archive is useful but it's also a little boring, but I'll be picking it up for its utility... alongside requip. But I'll probably only use one of them at a time until I unlock my third magic slot at level fifty.
For main magic?
Hm...
I'll talk to Mittelt. We're definitely going to party up.
I open the admin consol, looking over each player and their personal information. 'let's see here, who else is in this game.'
I let out a small choking sound.
Angel of The Stars {Level 1}
Name: Kokabiel
Remaining Beta time: 10000000 Hours
Locational Data: Underworld [Expand?]
"..."
I open my messenger app.
Suzutsu: "What. Did. You. Do?"
It takes a few minutes for me to get a reply.
Man whore: "Ah... you noticed."
Suzutsu: "Kokabiel... with UNLIMITED time... in my game."
It once more takes a little time for his reply, it appears he's not within an eden system so my reactions are about four times as fast as his.
Man whore: "To be fair, would you rather him snap and kill in there or out here?"
Suzutsu: "..."
Suzutsu: "Fair enough. It's just a little unsettling when you actually think things out and are reasonable. Should I go speak to him give him a list of 'fierce enemies' to face or something?"
Man whore: "No. let him wander for the first few days. Pad out that beta time."
I stare at the screen for a long moment.
Suzutsu: "I punched Serafall in the face today."
Man whore: "AHAHAH! Send a video please. I NEED to show that to Shemhazai."
Suzutsu has linked a video file.
Suzutsu: "I kept in some of the earlier fun bits as well."
Man whore: "Good work. Here, have 100k for making me laugh my ass off."
I get a small notification that there has been a deposit made into my bank account.
I shake my head with a small snort.
To be a supernatural race where you can be all 'here. Have one hundred thousand dollars for giving me a giggle'. Rich bastard.
I close the messenger app with a wave of my hand, then open the map again.
'let's see here...'
Rias, Milim and Serafall are together. Let's see what they're doing right now.
I teleport across the map with a snap of my fingers.
The second I reappear... I can hear conflict!
"I can't believe you said this game was basic and boring! How could you!" Rias exclaims. "You might be the satan of foreign affairs, but you should know how much that probably hurt him! To say that to someone about their life work! To his face! Especially when their life work is THIS cool! How could you, Serafall!"
Oh this is good.
A grin crosses my face as I float off the ground and land in a tree, watching over the fighting girls.
"I didn't think he would hold a grudge!" The woman pouts.
"Of COURSE he would hold a grudge! This is incredibly complex stuff!" Rias exclaims. "It's like... so much more complex than your shows, Serafall!"
"Hey. That's not very nice, Rias." The satan frowns, eyes narrowing slightly.
The red head audibly gulps. "I-I meant... on a technical... l-level. He built something. You act. Those are very d-different things. Y-you can finish a season of your show in like a week or two. He's been working on this intently for sixteen years!"
Its interesting watching her slowly grow more and more passionate despite the fact she was unsettled by the Satan of foreign affairs just a moment ago.
"So, you've seen his face?" Milim cuts in, an intrigued grin on her face. "What does he look like. How old is he? Is he cute?"
Serafall looks between the two Gremory devils. "Wait... you two want to reincarnate him?"
"Duh." Milim smirks, Rias slowly- and shakily nodding once.
"I've already asked him." Serafall sighs. "I don't think he'd be willing to become a devil. I doubt there's much you can offer him I couldn't."
"Ah. I mean, that's untrue, but regardless... Plan B it is, then." Milim hums.
"Plan... B?" Rias mutters.
Serafall rolls her eyes "Fine, I guess I can tell you a bit about him... since I'm still a little peeved at how he kept hurting my feelings. He looked pretty young. Probably about eighteen, brown hair, about ear length little spiky, brown eyes and pale skin."
'fucking- I might just accept their offer just to spite you!'
"Was he cute?!" The pink haired girl demands.
"Eh, fairly attractive as humans go. Fit, clear skin. Decent enough, I suppose." Serafall mutters.
"If I can't have him as a minion I'm going to have him as my hot wife!" The pink haired girl grins.
What the actual fuck?
"M-MILIM?!"
I slowly open her information sheet.
"..."
'Oh good. Female. No futa shenanigans- a shit fetish, that is. there are worse, sure, but I really don't like it much- Anyways, she's just a fucking weirdo.'
Weirder than Serafall even.
Said older woman is currently laughing.
"Ahahahaha! Milim-tan you are my favorite non-so-tan devil!" The woman smiles brightly as she hugs and pats the head of the smaller girl.
A borderline devious smirk appears on Serafall's face. "I do want to see you annoy him! That's be fun!"
"He said his name is-"
I raise a hand and explode her head.
"..."
Her body falls to the ground lingering for a brief moment before shattering into motes of light.
I know she is still listening in for the moment, so I might as well taunt her a bit more.
"Ah ah ah, Sera-tan... that isn't how you play the game." I chastise from my spot in the trees. "I could feel my ears burning from the other side of Fiore... and when I teleport in you are telling others the secret I told you in confidence? Shameful. Utterly shameful. It's like you're saying that you want me to continue to bully you."
"Hn. Whatever." I shrug as I turn and hop off the tree branch, landing on the ground. "She'll be back. I set the Beta's respawn time to be less than the official game's."
With that, I disappear yet again.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Suzutsu REALLY loves bullying sera-tan, huh. Heh. Deserved.
