Highschool DxD: Throne Of Champions
Chapter 1: A New Chapter
Kyo Kirishima, a young man from Kuoh was sitting on the edge of his bed his eyes clued to the television set as family was found butchered on the outside town. The fifth incident this month. Kyo becomes angry as he thinks about the five incidents and those who have lost their lives. The Sentinels still haven't got the thing responsible yet.
Kyos door flies open as his little sister Maya runs into the room almost breathless and she trips and falls with Kyo quickly leaving his chair to helping her up.
"Easy Maya what you in such a hurry for?"
"I have homework and I want you to help me please."
Maya smiles and Kyo returns it his heart melting. Leading his little sister to his desk he lifts her up and sits her down on the chair. Opening Mayas work book Kyo talks his little sister through her work helping her figure out her answers. Something catches his eye and he grabs his little sister and throws himself to floor as bedroom smashes a something unhuman floats through turning its blazing case towards them
"Run Maya get mum and dad out!"
Kyo grabs the chair and smashes it into the creatures face before making a break for it as floats backwards caught by surprise. Sprinting from his room Kyo finds his sister crying at the top of the stairs, as she gesturing as his mother and father are half way responding to the noise.
Picking up his little sister, Kyo screams at his family as the floating humanoid monster follows casually. His father grabs his mother and the four of them run for the front door as something flies over and smashes into the door. Kyo's father rips open the door and they all dash towards the car only for a second one to show up.
Kyo begins to panic not knowing what to do it was then one of the things spoke aloud it just happened to be the one he struck with the chair.
"Come with us boy if you do then your family lives."
Kyo turns to his little sister who shakes her head as his mother and father wrap their arms around him knowing he would do as they asked, However it was then they were saved by the most famous Sentinel of them all.
"I say he is going no where with you two."
Both of them turn as one of them is struck in the face with a might punch that sends him spinning and face down into the dirt. Kyo turns and gasps as a winged red armoured hero stood in front of him and his family. The second one charges making no noise and moving at speed despite floating and strikes out at their savour with its spear only for it to be grabbed and broken.
"Tell your master he's not welcome here fiend, now leave!"
Two cannons unfold from their saviours armoured shoulders before firing vaporising the creature before they power down and retract. As the canons retract their saviours helmet follows suit. Underneath the helmet was a young man who Kyo instantly recognised. He was the one who sits on the throne of champions the ace of the Sentinels. It was the Red Dragon Emperor Issei Hyoudou.
"Are you guys ok? I just happened to be near by."
"Thank god you were Sentinel and the world renowned Issei Hyoudou. My son Idolises you and everyone else in the Sentinels. Posters, autographs everything."
Kyo goes red a bit embarrassed that his dad could drop him like that. Issei laughs and turns to Kyo holding out his hand, which Kyo shakes as a huge smile spreads across Kyos face.
"I see glad to have you support Kyo but all that aside I have a three questions for you."
"Oh really and what are those sir?"
"Question one. Out of all the Sentinels you are a fan of which one have you got the biggest crush on?"
"Um that would be Grayfia Sir!"
""Very good answer now question two. Now how many incidents involving those creatures have you tried to help out in."
"At least ten in the last few months sir. I was thinking that was why they came here. I usually distract them enough for their target to get away. Then I run."
"I was right then see I know of you my young friend. So my third question is do you want to join us and fight by my side and meet the woman you have a crush on?"
Kyo drops to his knees and begins to sob loudly. It was something he always wanted not for the fame or glory that being a Sentinel could bring. He just wanted to be help for people to need him.
"Sorry but he can't join you, he is our son and he has got no special abilities he would die."
Issei smiles at Kyo's parents and then Maya his little sister.
"Well what do you think of your brother. Do you think he has special powers?"
Maya nods violently and then speaks up
"Yes he does! He is my brother and the bestest I know he has them I have seen them!"
Issei nods as Kyo turns to his sister looking baffled and she continues.
"It came out when I was crossing the road and didn't see the car. Big brother rushed out and grabbed me but the car never hit us it hit something though but we couldn't see what it was!"
Giving Maya a pat on the head Issei turns back to his parents.
"All those incidents in were your son helped out something helped out along side him. The reason those things came today was to take him out because he had thwarted so many of their plans. Today he was to worried that he couldn't call upon his powers to help. Your son will fit right in with us and he will learn what his powers are. He will help us save hundreds of people if not thousands I believe it is what he is meant to do."
Kyo parents turn to him conflicted emotions easy to read upon their faces. As Kyo looks at them he knows they will accept his decision despite their concerns. He then turns back to Issei feeling a sense of purpose and conviction when he looks upon one of his hero.
"I am in Sir."
"Good man well first of I will arrange your school transfer, you will attend Kuoh academy, It is the school Sentinels are trained and educated it. You are going to have to tell your friends you wont be able to see them for a while."
"That is ok I don't really have any friends except Maya here and she is my little sister so what does that say."
Issei could easily see it this non assuming young man who tries to help everyone in times of need and yet he does not have a single friend in the world though change his hair colour and he would remind him of someone great. He places his hand on Kyo's shoulder.
"You do have friends you just haven't met them all yet, well except me you have met me now so you have at least one."
Issei watches as Kyo begins to sniffle and rubs his eyes. As his little sister gives him a pat and mutters words of comfort to him. Issei remains silent for a few more minutes and watches the two of them and secretly vows to help this kid become the best person he can be.
"I will call you in a week Kyo to let you know of when you can transfer schools. Until then stay strong and if you can try to to actively use your gifts."
"I will try thank you Issei sir, I can call you Issei right?"
"I told you that you are my friend so of course you can call me Issei. I will call you soon ok?"
Kyo nods wiping the tears away trying to put on a strong front. Issei then turns to Kyo parents and nods before giving little Maya a smile. Issei smiles and takes to the skies once again. Well it is time to head home and let everyone know he has found a new student.
On the other side of town Rias Gremory sits in her study along side the remainder of her peerage. Being a very high ranking member of the Sentinels part of her job was helping in recruitment of new Sentinels. At least when not on front line duty that is.
Akeno brings Rias a cup of tea and sets it down in front of her before moving behind the desk give the files laid out on the desk a quick glance.
"Thank you Akeno this becoming daunting however."
Rias rubs her eyes feeling tired that her husband keeps loading work on her the way he does. He is likely going to appear at any moment with one for her to assign to Kuoh.
"Issei has been doing a great job,not only is he the number one ranked Sentinel he is a master at getting people to sign up."
"He has being doing a great job, a little to great Akeno."
"Well isn't there a saying that states: Behind every good man is a good wife."
Kiba chuckles and Rias glares at him to be silent as Koneko and Gasper remain silent. Asia enters the room with Rossweisse behind her several seconds later carrying more paperwork that is when Asia speaks up
"Issei has returned Rias and he is grinning from ear to ear."
"Thank you Asia, my dear husband has brought me more work I think."
Asia and Rossweisse nod in agreement as the door opens and Issei literally skips into the room and all the way to to Rias desk. Leaning over he kisses her on the cheek then starts massaging her shoulders causing her to groan.
"Hey guys sorry I am late, had to intervene two of the voidless attack a home near by. With a boy in it who is joining the Sentinel ranks."
Ignoring Rias sigh even as she squirms in joy under his fingers Issei continues.
"His name is Kyo, he is seventeen years old doesn't have any friends except his little sister Maya. He is very powerful so much so that he cant have friends as people naturally scared of him. Even without using his abilities he has helped save ten people in the last month alone. He will be a great asset for us."
Everyone shrugs in response except Rias who rises from her chair and glares at her husband with hands on her hips.
"You know more about this young man than you are claiming dear husband, but since you are so eager here you go!"
Rias hands Issei a bunch of the paper work and he sighs, before being the good husband and sitting down and continuing his wives work. Rias gives him a kiss and he smiles as the rest leave the room, but first he will work on the new students paper work first. The sooner Kyo joins Kuoh Academy the better.
