After Jughead and the Coopers got back from the hospital, just to check Betty over, Jughead and Sweet Pea got to work on what their plan of revenge would be. Archie Andrews had crossed a fucking line and Jughead would be thrilled to annihilate him. He didn't want him anywhere near his girlfriend after the murder attempt – and that's exactly what it was, a murder attempt. He had pushed Betty into the pool when he knew full well, she couldn't swim.

Jughead had never been so livid. And scared. He had acted on autopilot after he saw his girlfriend flailing around in the pool. He hadn't wanted to ever feel that helpless and scared again. Then there was Sweet Pea. He had sat outside of Betty's hospital room, guarding the doorway as if his life depended on it. And Jughead understood. Betty was his kid sister. The little girl he always swore to protect.

Then there was Cheryl Blossom. An entity in and of herself. She was raging mad, ever the fiery redhead she knew how to be. And she was Betty's best friend. The girls were as close as sisters and Jughead didn't blame her when she threatened to demolish Archie Andrews.

What Jughead didn't understand, however, was what triggered Archie's obsession with his girl. He knew the redhead had been better in his childhood, but three years ago, he changed. And not for the better. So, Jughead was curious as to what caused that astronomical shift in his foundation. Had he always had stalking tendencies, and it just showed through in his teenage years? Jughead didn't know. But he would find out.

Just then, Betty and Cheryl walked up to him, Sweet Pea, and Joaquin in the Whyte Wyrm. Joaquin was also a huge protector of Betty and was mad as hell that Archie had hurt her. Perhaps some people would wonder why the Serpents didn't step back and let the police handle this, but that was never their M.O. They didn't care to get the authorities involved. They took care of things in the house. It was the type of motorcycle club they were in. And Jughead, Sweet Pea, Joaquin, and the rest of the men who were in the club would grow to be men in this club. It's what their father's had prepared them for.

Betty plopped down into his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck as she pressed a tender kiss to his lips. He rubbed her back, before soothing his hand through her hair. "How do you feel?"

"I'm pretty good, Juggie," she smiled at him. He knew that when he performed CPR, he had bruised her ribs. He felt bad about that but at the same time, he wouldn't apologize for saving her life. If asked, he was always going to save her life. It's just who he was as a person.

"Good," he murmured. "And the bruises don't hurt much, do they?" He still had to check.

She smiled at him softly, eyes softening on him as she looked at him. "No, baby, they don't."

That was a relief in and of itself and then Sweets was talking. "I told mom and dad to drain the pool outside."

"But...why?" Betty asked in confusion, staring at her brother in bewilderment.

Sweet Pea sighed. "I'm not letting what happened happen again."

"But you love that pool," Betty protested.

"I love you more," Sweet Pea assured his little sister. Betty smiled at him tenderly and Sweet Pea was speaking up once more. "We're going to get Archie where it hurts."

"Which means what, exactly?" Betty asked nervously, and Jughead pressed a kiss to the underside of her jaw.

"He's going to begging for us to kill him when we're through with him," he replied point-blank. He would never lie to his girlfriend; had always sworn not to do that, and he didn't plan on starting now.

Betty expelled a soft sigh. "Can't we just go to Kevin's dad?"

It was Cheryl who answered in a gentle voice. "Betty, you know we can't. Keller would do it by the book and that's the one thing Archie doesn't deserve. He tried to kill you. We can't just ignore that."

"And we're not going to, Cher," Sweet Pea replied firmly before turning to his sister. "Cheryl's right. We can't get Keller involved. The law doesn't side with us and most people still see Archie Andrews as Riverdale's very own golden boy."

Betty sighed, nodding her head a little the next moment. "I know you guys are right. I just don't want anyone hurt on my behalf."

Jughead snorted. "Andrews wishes he could hurt me." And Jughead knew the truth behind that statement. Archie Andrews deplored Jughead simply for the fact that he was who Betty chose. He wanted nothing more than to see him fall and not get back up.

Sweet Pea laughed darkly as Joaquin smirked. "Yeah, Andrews has another thing coming if he thinks he can get away with what he did, doll."

Joaquin was always their voice of reason in the group. He kept a cool and collected head whenever anyone in the club was thinking hotheadedly. And Jughead appreciated that so fucking much. Nodding his appreciation at his friend, Jughead turned to look at his girlfriend, soothing a hand down her face. "Babe. We're going to make Andrews pay. But no, none of us will get hurt in the process."

Betty bit her lip, looking between the men and her boyfriend anxiously for a minute before expelling a soft sigh and nodding her head. "Do your worst."

Author's note: Just a shorter chapter to start getting the ball rolling in the direction I need it to. Archie is going to be the villain of this story if you haven't noticed yet because I don't think Archie has character arc or redemption. He's an idiotic character who makes bad choices and doesn't do anything for the development of the show. So, there's that. Thanks for reading and thoughts lovely per usual! Xx
