Story Start!

The Morino Hotel.

'So, all the guests and employees of the hotel just vanished without a trace, and any devil hunter that enters this place vanishes too.' Naruto looked underneath one of the beds in the hotel rooms. He was only on the second floor, but he was going floor by floor to find any trace of anyone, but he had yet to find even a whiff of a human or devil scent.

He was sent alone.

Well, apparently backup would be coming later, but he went ahead of time because he was just kind of sick of working with people at the moment. He worked with a really annoying guy that was obsessed with Himeno, since she trained him for 6 months. He had a job with Kobeni, and she was extremely clingy the entire day. He worked with Himeno again, but any day he worked with Himeno ended with a trip to the bar, or his clothes smelling like cigarettes, and the day he worked with Aki had been awkward and silent the entire time.

"So Kurama, any clues on your end?"

"The're definitely a devil here, that nasty aura of negativity is all over this place."

"You sure, I'm not sensing it the same way you are." Naruto didn't doubt Kurama, but he wasn't sensing it either. He was sure that if he went into Six Paths Sage Mode, he could track down the devil instantly... but that massive amount of chakra being released could have side effects. Sage Mode could sense devils, but there were some devils with bodies that weren't on this plane of existence properly, so sensing them was awkward for him.

"It's somewhere vaguely in the hotel."

"Somewhere vaguely in the hotel, so is it here, or isn't it here?" Naruto asked as he stood up and walked towards the next hotel room, and started to comb over that as well. "... We can rule out the Ghost Devil, since Himeno is contracted with it. So no ghostly nonsense... hmmmmm." Naruto finished the next room.

He soon finished all of the rooms on the 2nd floor, followed by the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th floors easily enough. He didn't find anything relating to clues on any of those floors, and with how he went through the floors, it had taken him a full 2 hours with how detailed he was with each check. Naruto walked up to the 8th floor, and then he opened the door to one of the rooms, before he walked in and started to check it out.

"Hmmmm... it's 8:09, guess backup should be here soon. Might as well finish off this floor before they arrive." Naruto stated as he started to investigate the room, and he looked at the clock, before getting to world.

He continued to do his job, but found nothing.

Naruto passed the clock in the room again, and saw that it was 8:18 PM, so he had wasted another 9 minutes checking a room that had no devil in it.

"Eep! EEAH... AH... AHHH!"

"That was Kobeni." Naruto heard the familiar sound of Kobeni freaking out. He walked out of the room, just in time to see the backup arrive on the other side of the hallway. While he was on the 8th floor, it would seem his backup had arrived and come to check out the hotel. He recognized Aki, Himeno, Kobeni, and even Hirokazu... but he didn't recognize the other 2 right off the bat.

A blond guy with brown eyes, and a blond Fiend with blood red horns sticking from the top of her head, and consider she just used blood in the shape of a knife she pulled from her wrist to kill a devil floating in front of Kobeni, he would guess that she was the Blood Fiend that had been captured by Public Safety not too long ago.

"Ah, Naruto, I was told you went on ahead." Aki was the first to notice Naruto as he walked to them, and he picked up the split in half devil. A severed head with hands sticking out of it. Naruto shook it around. Aki held a piece of Gun Devil over it, and got no reaction at all.

"The kill was mine, not yours."

"This the Blood Fiend?" Naruto asked as he stood back up.

"Her name is Power, and this is Denji." Aki stated.

"The kill was mine!" Power repeated as she stood between Naruto and the devil that she killed. Naruto didn't pay any attention to her. He looked at her for only a brief moment as he passed her, and she froze and looked away from him.

Fiends.

Devils on the brink of death would sometimes kill a human and possess their corpse, becoming a Devil in Human Form, using the human body as a devil and fusing with it. It was a perverted, sick, twisted, and evil thing devils did. It was wrong on all levels, and when he learned about it, he couldn't help but be sick with the concept of it. Using a human corpse as some kind of sacrifice to house a devil was wrong in so many ways, and ticked him the wrong way.

Yet, Fiends weren't quite the devils who had possessed the body either, so there was a weird gray area where he couldn't even quite justify hating the fiend for the crimes of the devil, because many times it was a new person who was born.

Kobeni held onto Naruto's sleeve when he passed her.

"Naruto." Hirokazu was polite when Naruto passed by him.

A tall man without any combat talent, but he had the drive to succeed... somewhat. In all honesty, he was too sane of a person to face down devils, and Naruto would be happier if the guy retired to live out a more peaceful life in some other line of work. He didn't have the tools needed to survive, and Naruto didn't want to become really close friends with him, only to hear about his death because he bit off more than he could chew later.

"Sup, so... these are the two you've been looking after. There is still a devil somewhere here, I've got this vague feel of it... hard to explain. Actually, since you guys showed up, that feeling got stronger." Naruto stated as he looked around. He now had a much stronger feeling that the devil was nearby, but instead of nearby, it was like it was all around. "You guys head to the next floor, I'll stay on this floor and investigate." Naruto stated as he started to walk back across the hallway.

Kobeni started to follow him.

"I'll come with you."

"Safety in numbers." Himeno smiled and waved to Naruto, and he nodded to her with a grin. He looked at Denji, who was looking at him right back with a confused look for a moment.

"So who is this asshole?"

"Pfffft." Naruto hid his laughter when Denji asked an extremely rude question. Naruto passed by Denji.

Flick*

"Ah!" Denji collapsed to his knees holding his balls when Naruto flicked him right on the dick as he passed him by. Naruto grinned down at Denji, didn't say a word, and walked off with Kobeni still holding onto his sleeve.

"That, Denji, is the strongest person you will ever have the displeasure of meeting. It would be in your best interest if you didn't get on his bad side."

"That... scumbag... went right for the nuts."

"Doesn't feel so good, does it?" Aki asked Denji, having quite enjoyed what just happened to Denji. He pat Naruto on the shoulder. "Good going, we'll take the next floor, you can Kobeni let us know if you find the real devil." Aki stated as he started to walk towards the stairs.

"Not before I get my revenge!"

Flick*

"AH! The nuts again?!"

"You're not fast enough to surprise attack me, so every time you try, your nuts are getting a flicking. Lets check out this room next." Naruto entered a different room as Denji was dragged towards the stairs by Power. Naruto didn't pay anymore attention to them as the groups split up.

8:18

Naruto raised an eyebrow when he saw the clock in the hotel room was still reading 8:18, which was weird because the clock he had passed by earlier had the same time on it. He raised an eyebrow as he went to investigate the room, with Kobeni following behind him, holding onto his sleeve like it was a security blanket.

"I'm happy to work with you again." Kobeni broke the silence.

Naruto smiled at her.

"Me too, better than working alone by a long..." Naruto raised an eyebrow, stopped what he was saying, as he looked towards the window of the room. Naruto looked back at the clock that read as 8:18, and opened the room window.

"Oh, that's neat, this room connects to another room. I've never seen a hotel do that." Kobeni felt safe with Naruto, as he opened a room window, and when he did he saw a perfectly identical room on the other side of the window. Naruto looked back towards the door, and he was confused as he looked back at the 8:18 on the clock, and he looked back out the window. "Naruto?"

"What time does your watch say?" Naruto looked down at his own watch.

8:18

"It says 8:18." Kobeni gazed right at her wrist, and told him the time.

"Huh... that's... weird." Naruto stated, and he stepped through the window. "Stay here for just a second, I'm going to test something out real fast." Naruto walked across the other room, the room on the other side of the window. He looked towards the room door in the mirrored room, and when he opened it he found himself in the hallway.

Denji, Himeno, Power, Hirokazu, and Aki were all walking up from the 7th floor and onto the 8th floor in the hallway as Naruto looked down the halls. He covered his mouth in thought, since they hadn't noticed him, and he went into the room across the hall.

"Woah! Naruto, how did you... do that?" Kobeni asked as Naruto entered the room she was in from the room door, instead of the window. Naruto closed the door, walked across the hallway and entered the opposite room, before he went to the window and went through it. Kobeni was still facing the closed door, and Naruto sat on the window when he entered the room from the other room's window again.

Naruto looked at his watch.

8:18

Aki's group just went up the stairs to the 9th floor, but they had just come up from the 7th floor stairs as if they were traveling to the 8th floor. It had been 8:18 for about 10 minutes now, and he could loop from room to hallway, to room, to room, to hallway. Naruto covered his mouth with his hand as he tried to think of it. The feeling of the devil in the air was all around, but super vague about it's exact location as well.

"What kind of devil are we dealing..." Naruto started to ask himself.

Time was stopped.
The rooms and floor was looped.

8th floor, 8:18 as well, strange that everything was normal on the other floors, but this floor was the one that the small devil appeared on, and it appeared at that time, and now it stayed that time. All the people who were on the 8th floor when that small devil was killed were now trapped on the 8th floor.

"Naruto?"

"Okay, Kobeni, I'm going to need you to sit down on the bed and relax. Aki and the others are going to join us soon." Naruto sighed as he took a shuriken out, and he flung it through the open doors in the hallway. There was a thunk, and Naruto felt himself get hit in the shoulder by the shuriken he had just thrown. He felt pain and blood as he pulled the shuriken out.

"Naruto!"

"Stay calm and sit down." Naruto spoke to her in a soothing tone, reminding her to stay seated. Naruto brought his hand to his bleeding shoulder, and he felt a twinge of pain, before he looked at the blood on his hand.

"This isn't an illusion." Kurama noted.

Kurama had just felt that pain, seeing as Jinchuriki and Tailed Beasts shared a sense of pain, the pain that Naruto just felt was very much real pain if even Kurama was feeling it. Kurama would also be able to snap Naruto out of any illusion he was under if he was actually trapped in an illusion, and he had already tried to break Naruto out of it.

"Space/Time manipulation... we're in some kind of box, where everything loops infinitely. There is electricity in the room... so it isn't cut off from the outside world either, but it also IS cut off from regular space and time." Kurama explained as he went through what Naruto knew.

"What does that mean?"

"It means, you're trapped in an infinite box outside of the regular flow of space and time. That vague feeling around, this space is a devil ability." Kurama explained to Naruto. Naruto frowned to himself slightly.

"Naruto?"

"Not Infinite... Eternity... if it was just infinite... would time be involved?" Naruto asked Kurama as he spread his blood across the clock in the room. If the space was just looping infinitely, then that was different than it looking for eternity. Infinity wouldn't have time get involved, but the fact all their watches and clocks stopped meant that time was involved.

"Naruto..."

"Kobeni... oh... so you guys noticed it too." Naruto noticed that Aki was looking into the room as the others joined. Aki seemed slightly alarmed when he saw a mirrored room on the other side of the open window. "... We've been caught in a trap set by the Eternity Devil." Naruto stated with an annoyed tone.

"What makes you say that?"

"I've seen something like this before. We're inside of the Eternity Devil right now, we're in a space cut off from space and time. I've seen spaces that were cut off from time and space before. If you look at your watch, time stopped. Time stopped at 8:18... and..." Naruto flung another shuriken through the window, and it traveled through the rooms and hallway, passing by the group as it struck Naruto himself in the shoulder again. "... the rooms are truly looped. I can break illusions, and this isn't an illusion."

"So... we're going to be stuck here... forever... we'll starve to death?"

"Stay calm, we won't starve! I'm immortal, and I can regenerate, so if it gets bad, we can just eat some nice Naruto steak. We won't starve, and we won't go thirsty either. I'll find a way to summon more water, but until then we have the water in the toilets." Naruto stated.

"You... want us to eat you?" Denji asked with a grossed out look.

"I don't want you people to eat me, but if worse comes to worse, I'll let you all cut parts of me off. I can regenerate flesh, so it will hurt, but I'll survive. I don't allow my comrades to die in front of me if I can help it." Naruto didn't want to get eaten, and he was not going to allow them to die of starvation either.

"So... what now?" Himeno asked Aki.

"We try and find a way off the 8th floor, or find a way to kill the Eternity Devil. We don't panic, fear will make the devil stronger. Everyone keep a cool head." Aki left the room and walked down the hallway.

"So... we're really... trapped?" Hirokazu asked as he looked out the window, into the other room in the hallway.

"The Eternity Devil will show up eventually. If it doesn't show up in a few days, I might be able to force it to show up... or us a last resort." Naruto stated as he narrowed his eyes.

"Do it now!"

"Shut up Power, if I do it now then I risk killing all of you in the explosion. I can destroy this entire space, this entire floor and everything on it and in it, including the devil keeping us trapped on the floor... but if I use that much power, some of you might die... it's a last resort." Naruto could transform, use a Tailed Beast Ball and just completely warp space, destroy the entire space/time that the devil created, killing the devil itself, and freeing them.

Yet, it was risky.

It wasn't a risk he wanted to take.

"I still haven't forgiven you for flicking my nuts, so you better not accidentally kill me too. Makima promised me an awesome reward if I could kill the Gun Devil, and I plan to claim it."

Naruto blinked.

So this guy was the Chainsaw that Makima wanted.

Things just got more complicated.
