Author's Note: It would have been impossible for me to go through this Christmas without a Brainy and Nia Christmas fic! So here we are YAY I love them I love them I love them :)))

Also, Merry Christmas! I figured it was fitting to post Nia and Brainy's chapter on Christmas, considering how big of a part they've been in my 2019 :))))

"Hey, you two!" Lena greeted as she met Brainy and Nia with hugs at the door of her venue. She was throwing a gigantic Christmas party for all of her donors, employees, and friends, which of course included both Brainy and Nia.

"Merry Christmas, Lena," Nia responded brightly. "You look amazing."

"Thank you," Lena said, accepting the compliment with a practiced poised. "You as well. And you look very handsome, Brainy."

Brainy straightened slightly and tugged at the bottom of his dark grey suit jacket. "I was aware. Nia informed me of that, also," he told Lena, and Nia snorted at her friends amused expression.

"Guilty as charged," Nia admitted, before she nudged Brainy in the ribs. "But you're supposed to say thank you no matter how many times someone gives you the same compliment."

Brainy frowned. "I will... keep that in mind," he declared, before Lena finally got around to letting them inside her party.

They found Kelly, Alex and Kara without too much trouble. All of them were dressed festively, but Kara had gone especially all out, wearing a red Santa-inspired jacket with white fur edging. Nia gushed over it for a second before the conversation turned to other matters, like the turnout at the party, the Luthorcorp donors, and work.

After awhile, Brainy extended his hand to Nia. "I was told that dancing is common at festive gatherings such as this... Nia, would you like to dance with me?"

Nia took his hand, but frowned. "Um... yes, but there's no music...?"

Brainy squinted slightly. "Valid," he said.

"That is no problem at all," Kara spoke up, beaming at the two of them. "Just- one second. Hang on." She turned and raced off through the crowd and in mere minutes there was slow Christmas music playing through the speakers on the wall.

Alex nodded her approval, and she and Kelly moved out to the dance floor. Nia pulled Brainy after them, stepping easily into his personal space and putting her arms around his neck. "I'm glad you're not tall," she murmured. "Slow dancing with tall guys is majorly awkward... not that I have much experience with that."

Brainy smiled, actually forced to look up at her considering the heels she was wearing. "I'm glad that my height is pleasing to you," he said. "I realize that some women prefer men of a different stature."

Nia shrugged a little and rested her forehead against his, the two of them swaying together.

Kara, who was single and shipping but also kind of bored, popped into Nia's peripheral vision. Nia glanced up and raised her eyebrow. "Hey."

"Hey," Kara replied, smirking. "Mistletoe."

Brainy scoffed. "There wasn't any mistletoe when we walked over."

Kara's smirk widened and Nia eyed her suspiciously. The fact that mistletoe hadn't been there originally was a mere trifle for someone who had super speed and could fly.

"Welll...?" Kara urged, looking at Nia significantly.

Nia rolled her eyes a little and turned back to Brainy. She put her arms comfortably around his neck, and raised her eyebrows at him. "What do you say, babe?"

"Well," Brainy said, smirking a little. "It would be terrible of us to go against tradition, now wouldn't it?"

Nia grinned and leaned forward, barely having any distance to cover before her lips connected with Brainy's.

Beside them, Kara beamed happily, satisfied with her work.

Author's Note: Ok, I know I always make Kara super happy-go-lucky, but like... when you see Melissa talk about Brainia she's always such a fangirl which makes me so happy XD So Kara is kind of channeling Melissa in setting up her babies :)
