In this story, a few years have passed in the Bakugan Game; Champions of Vestroia. The main characters and their greatest rival are sent to the Avatar's world during one of their battles. Thanks to them, an ancient and secret side of the Avatar and the world has been unleashed.

3. Chapter 2

Brawl 1 Water: Chapter 2 The Avatar and The Bakugan Returns Part 2

As everyone returned to the village, the villagers other than the kids were not happy. Sokka took the lead and said. "I knew it. You all signaled the Fire Navy with that flare. You're leading them straight to us, aren't you?"

"They didn't do anything. It was an accident." Katara said and Aang then added. "Yeah, we were on the ship and there was this bobby trap and, well-"

"We walked right into it, but it was an accident. Nothing more and nothing less." Hoshi said and Gran Gran said to them. "Katara, you shouldn't have gone on that ship. Now we could all be in danger."

"Don't blame Katara. I brought her there. It's my fault." Aang said and Hoshi said. "Yeah, Katara was the only one who tried to stop him."

"I knew it. You all are traitors and that was a confession." Sokka said, pointing at them. Saida then said. "For the millionth time, we are not Fire Nation spies."

"Yeah, dud. You are letting your fear take hold of you." Miguel said and then Sokka said. "I am not letting my fear take over me. And for your punishment, the foreigners are banished from our village."

"Sokka, you're making a mistake." Katara said to her brother. "No, I'm keeping my promise to dad. I'm protecting you from threats like them."

"Aang, Hoshi, Saida and Miguel are not our enemy. Don't you see? They have brought us something we haven't had in a long time, fun."

"Fun? We can't fight Firebender with fun!"

"You should try it sometime." Aang said and Hoshi said to Sokka. "And if the Fire Nation is coming, then you need all the help you need. You can fight alone."

"We don't need your help. Get out of our village now!"

"Gran Gran, please don't let Sokka do this." Katara said to Gran Gran and she said to Katara. "Katara, you knew going on that ship was forbidden. Sokka is right. I think it best if the outsiders leave."

"Fine, then I'm banished, too. Come on, guys let's go" Katara said, taking Aang's hand and starting to move to Appa. Sokka then said to Katara. "Where do you think you're going?"

"To find a Waterbender. Aang is helping the others find their home and is taking me to the North Pole."

"Katara, would you really choose them over your tribe, your own family?"

"Sorry, Katara, but we can't make you choose between us and your family, even if your brother can't see past his fear." Hoshi said as he, Sadia and Migue got on Appa. Aang then said to Katara. "He's right Katara. I feel the same."

"So you're leaving the South Pole? This is good-bye?"

"Thank you for Penguin sledding with us."

"Where will you go?"

"Guess I'll go back home and look for the Airbender, then I'll help the others find their home. Wow. I haven't cleaned my room in 100 years. Not looking forward to that." Aang said getting on Appa. After they said goodbye, Appa was still tried and Sokka made fun of them for think Appa could fly. After they were gone, Gran Gran went up to Katara and said to her. "Katara, you'll feel better after you-"

"Are you happy now? There goes my one chance of becoming a Waterbender!" Katara said in anger. Gran Gran would have said something, but Katara was right. It has been her dream to be a real Waterbender and thanks to her, Katara just lost that chance. Sokka then got the defense ready, but there wasn't any real defense. A few miles away, Aang was letting Appa take a break. As Saida and Miguel looked over the sea. Hoshi was with Aang. Hoshi saw the frund on Aang's face and said. "You ok Aang?"

"Yeah."

"Let me guess, you miss Katara?"

"Yeah."

"Uh guys, we have a problem." Saida said as she and Miguel met up with them. Hoshi then said to them. "What's the matter?"

"We found a Fire Nation ship and it is heading for the village." Miguel said as Hoshi and Aang looked at the sea and saw Zuko's ship. Even if the village was rude to them, they still had to help. Aang then said to Appa. "Appa, wait here!"

"Let's go Aang." Hoshi said as they found a fast way to the village other than walking. In the village Sokka got ready for war and was wearing warrior gear and had war paint. On Zuko's ship, he was doing the same, minus the paint. At the village, Sokka stood his ground on the wall surrounding the town, but it was just him. Soon the villages heard an explosion and the ground started to rumble, which meant the Fire Nation was coming. The women and kids went to hide in their tents. Soon Sokka saw Zuko's ship and then was frozen in fear. After Katara helped the last kid inside, she said to him. "Sokka! Get out of the way!" He still didn't move, but as the wall flew the snow took him down to the ground. Everyone then went outside to see the ship.

The front of the ship then let out some steam and opened. It almost hit Sokka, but he finally moved and it just missed him. The front became a path, with Alex in front and Zuko in the middle of guards. Sokka screamed and charged at them, but Alex was able to kick him and his weapon away. Sokka then landed face first in the snow and while he was getting out, Zuko looked over the villager, who were scared. He then said to them. "Where are you hiding him?"

"I don't see anyone here with Hex Eyes, Zuko." Alex said, as he looked around. Zuko then grabbed Gran Gran and said. "He'd be about this age, with Hex Eyes and master of all elements." They didn't say anything. Zuko then pushed Gran Gran back into the crowd and Katara caught her. He then used Firebending in front of the crowd to let them know he was not playing around. Zuko then yelled. "I know you're hiding him." Sokka finally got out of the snow and attacked Alex again. It would have been a good sneak attack, but Sokka shouted, ruining the sneak attack. Alex dogged Sokka's attack and threw him away. Alex then picked up Sokka's weapon and threw it at Sokka. Sokka was the one to dodge it. Sokka then launched his boomerang at Alex, but it missed. A kid then handed Sokka his spear and Sokka ran right at Alex. But like all of his attacks, it didn't work. Alex took Sokka's spear then broke the end over Sokka's head. And then Sokka boomerang made its return trip and was going to hit Alex, but he used the tip of the spear to block it. It stopped the boomerang and destroyed the rest of the spear. Alex then said to Sokka. "Yelling before a sneak attack. Not using your weapon in an effective way. Are you a fighter or a kid playing dress up? You know what, never mind, let's get back to business?"

"Quite Hex." Zuko said as he and the other Firebenders made fire daggers. Things didn't look good, luckily Aang and the others on Penguins sled right into town. And that knocked them all down. After getting off the Penguins Aang said to Sokka and Katara. "Hey, Katara. Hey Sokka."

"Hi, guys." Sokka said and then Hoshi said. "Looks like you could use a hand?" Sokka nodded yes and the Zuko, Alex and Zuko man got up. Alex then saw Hoshi's face and his blood started to boil. Zuko then motioned the Fire Soldiers to surround them. Aang then used his Airbending to blow snow into their face, which made them back up. Aang then said to Zuko. "Looking for me?"

"You're the Airbender? You're the Avatar?" Zuko said, which surprised everyone. Hoshi said, as stepped forward and grabbed Centipod out of his pocket. "If you want the Avatar, then you have to go throw us first. Ready guy?"

"Yeah, let's do it." Saida said as she and Miguel agreed with him. Hoshi grabbed Centipod, Saida grabbed Pyravian and Miguel grabbed Eenoch from their pockets. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" They all said throwing their Bakugan. The Bakugan grew and roared at Zuko, Alex and Zuko's men. (Centipod 600 / Pyravian 600 / Eenoch 600) The village was surprised to see their Bakugan, but not Zuko's man. Alex then said, stepping forward and grabbing Ryerazu. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" (Ryerazu 600) Hoshi then said, looking at Alex. "Wait, that's Alex Bakugan? Where did you get that?!"

"Before you ruined my life."

"Wait, Alex is that you?"

"You thought I was gone, didn't you, Hoshi. But I survived, I will always survive unlike you and your Centipod. Now Ryerazu Tri-Cannon."

"Yes sir." Ryerazu said before firing a fire blast from his mouth at Centipod. Miguel then said to Eenoch. "Eenoch Darkus Blocker now!"

"On it." Eenoch said and made a purple wall to stopped Ryerazu attack. In the middle of the Bakugan Battle, Zuko and Aang were getting ready to battle. Zuko said to Aang. "I've spent years preparing for this encounter, training, and meditating. You're just a child."

"Well, you're just a teenager." Aang said before Zuko fired fire at Aang. He used his staff to block the fire. Both Zuko and Ryerazu fire may not have damaged Aang or the Bakugan, but the villagers were still in danger. Hoshi said to Aang. "Aang we can't fight here. The villagers are in danger."

"If we go with you, will you promise to leave everyone alone?" Aang said and Zuko agreed. Hoshi and the others returned their Bakugan. Alex took them and put them into a bag. He then took Aang's staff and Zuko's men grabbed them. As they were getting dragged to the ship, Katara said to them. "No, don't do this."

"We'll be fine." Hoshi said. "Yeah, don't worry." Miguel said. "We will be back soon." Saida said. "Take care of Appa for me until we get back." Aang said, before Zuko said to the crew. "Head a course to the Fire Nation. I'm going home." Soon they were all in the ship and it took off. A little later, the villagers were fixing their town, but Katara who was looking at the direction that the ship went. Sokka was right behind her and she said to him. "We have to go after that ship, Sokka. Aang and the others saved our Tribe. Now we have to save him."

"Katara, I-"

"Why can't you realize that they're on our side? If we don't help them, no one will. I know you don't like Aang or the others, but we own them and-"

"Katara, are you going to talk all day or are you coming with me?" Sokka said, pointing to a canoe full of supplies. Katara ran up to him and said. "Sokka!"

"Get in. We're going to save your boyfriend and his friend."

"He's not my-"

"Whatever."

"What do you two think you're doing?" Gran Gran said behind them. They both turned around and saw Gran Gran. Thinking she was mad, but instead she gave them sleeping bags and said. "You'll need these. You have a long journey ahead of you. It's been so long since I've had hope, but you brought it back to life, my little Waterbender." She gave Katara a hug. "And you, my brave warrior, be nice to your sister."

"Yeah, ok, Gran." Sokka said as she gave him a huge. "Aang is the Avatar. He's the world's only chance. And those people had a new power that could help him save the world. You all found him for a reason. Now your destinies are intertwined with there's."

"There's no way we're going to catch a warship with a canoe." Katara said as Appa walked up to the village, looking for Aang. Katara then said running up to Appa. "Appa!"

"You just love taking me out of my comfort zone, don't you?" Sokka said as he started to move the supplies from the canoe to Appa. On Zuko's ship, Zuko was looking over Aang's staff and Alex was keeping an eye on Aang and the others. Hoshi said to Alex. "Alex, do you know what The Fire Nation is doing to people with Hexagon Eyes, like yours?"

"I already know."

"Then why are you helping them?"

"Zuko is the royal prince of the Fire Nation. And we made a deal, I helped him capture the Avatar with the power of my Bakugan and he made sure I didn't get a ticket to the Hex Camp."

"I can't believe you are betraying people like us?"

"Stop talking to the prisoners." Zuko said, walking up to them. He then said to Aang. "This staff will make an excellent gift for my father. Along with these Bakugan." Zuko showed off the bag with all, but Alex's Bakugan. "I suppose you wouldn't know of fathers being raised by monks. Take the Avatar and those Hex's to the prison to the hold and take this to my quarters." Zuko said to the guard to take them away and gave Iroh Aang's staff and the Bakugan. Iron then gave them to Alex and said. "Hey, you mind taking this to his quarters for me?"

"Yes, Master Iroh." Alex said as he took them and went to Zuko's room. Everyone keeps an eye on Alex as they get pushed below deck. As they were going to the hold, Aang said to the guards. "So, I guess you've never fought an Airbender before. I bet I can take you both with my hands tied behind my back."

"Silence." One of the guards said, as he opened a door. Aang took a deep breath and Hoshi, Saida and Miguel got to the side. Aang then launched an Air Breath Attack, knocking one of the guards into the door and pushing the other into the stairs. Using the guards helmet, Hoshi and the others cut off the resistances. Hoshi then said to everyone. "Saida. Miguel finds a lifeboat, so we can get off this thing. Aang you and I will find your staff and our Bakugan. Now split up!" They agreed and started to split up. Aang and Hoshi ran where Alex went. One of the guards woke up and said to another one. "The Avatar and Hex's have escaped!" Miles away from the ship, Appa was swimming after Zuko's ship. While Sokka was saying words that relate to flying. Katara was getting anyone with him, but she tried to ignore it and said to Appa. "Please, Appa, we need your help. Aang and the others need your help. Sokka doesn't believe you can fly, but I do, Appa. Come on, don't you want to save Aang and the others?"

"What was it that kid said? Yee-Ha? Hup-Hup? Wa-Hoo? Uh, Yip Yip?" Sokka said and when he said "Yip Yip" Appa growled and then started to fly. Katara said to Sokka as they looked over the edge. "You did it, Sokka!"

"He's flying! He's flying! Katara, he's-" Sokka said before seeing his sister's face. "I mean, big deal. He's flying." They then flew after Zuko's Ship. On Zuko's Ship Aang and Hoshi were looking around for Zuko's room, but found three guards instead. Aang said to them. "You haven't seen my staff around, have you?"

"Or our Bakugan?" Hoshi said as the guards attacked them. Aang grabbed Hoshi and ran along the walls. Aang then said to the guards as they escaped. "Thanks, anyway."

"Aang never do that again." Hoshi said as they were in a new hallway and he was trying to hold his lunch in. They then started to look through the rooms, until they found Zuko's Room. Aang and Hoshi saw Aang's staff and the Bakugan. They entered the room and before they grabbed them, Zuko shut the door and Alex locked it. Alex said to Zuko. "I told you, we shouldn't underestimate them."

"I won't make that mistake again." Zuko said as they both fired fire attacks at them. Aang and Hoshi dodge it and as Zuko pushes Aang into a corner. Hoshi said before Alex attacked him again. "How can you Firebended?"

"I don't how and I don't care." Alex said as he launched fire at Hoshi. Soon Zuko and Alex tried to hit Aang and Hoshi. But thanks to Aang's speed and Alex's inexperience, Aang and Hoshi were able to dodge their attacks. Then a bang on the door got everyone's attention. Aang took this chance and grabbed his staff. He then used it and his Airbending to make Zuko bed to slam Zuko and Alex into the wall and the ceiling. Hoshi grabbed their Bakugan, opened the door and saw Saida and Miguel. Saida said to them. "Sorry, we couldn't find a lifeboat."

"So we came to help." Miguel said as they then heard Zuko and Alex getting up. "You did thanks, now lets find a way out of here." Hoshi said as they all ran trying to find an exit. Soon the all found the bridge and had room to roll out their Bakugan. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" (Pyravian 600 / Eenoch 600) Sadia and Miguel said, throwing their Bakugan outside and they all jumped onto them. Centipod couldn't fly, so Hoshi jumped onto Pyravian with Saida. Aang then jumped out and threw his staff, which turned into a glider. They were all going to fly away, but Zuko jumped on Aang glider and made them crash onto the deck. Hoshi then said, looking down. "Hold on Aang we're coming!"

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" Alex said as he rolled out Ryerazu and he bit Pyravain. (Ryerazu 600 / Pyravian 550) Zuko got up and Alex was squaring off against Hoshi and the others, when they heard Appa roar. Zuko then said, looking at it. "What is that?"

"I don't know, but that doesn't matter. blast that thing." Alex said as Ryerazu let go of Pyravian and was going to fire at Appa, but Saida and Miguel said. "We won't let you! Wing Cutter!" Pyravian and Eenoch wings then started to glow their colors and then slashed through Ryerazu. (Ryerazu 400) Aang was happy to see Appa, he forgot that he was in the middle of a battle. Lucky Aang remembered just before Zuko attacked him. Aang was getting pushed to the edge and lost his staff. Zuko didn't stop and Aang fell into the water. Katara, Hoshi, Saida, Miguel and their Bakugan said. "No! Aang!" In the water Aang heard Katara say. "Aang? Aang? Aang!? AANG!?" Her words reached him and his eyes glowed gold and tattoos glowed white. Aang then started to bend the water around him and returned to the surface on a water tornado. Everyone was surprised to see Aang and what he was doing, Zuko more than anyone. Aang got on deck and made a water ring around him. He used the ring to push Zuko, Alex and his men back and then turned it into a stream of ice and hit Ryerazu's body. (Ryerazu 0) Zuko and Alex, who grabbed Ryerazu, both started to fall into the water. While Hoshi and his friend were awestruck, Katara said to Sokka. "Did you just see that?"

"Now that was Waterbending." Sokka said as Aang almost fell down. Hoshi jumped off Pyravian and caught him. Appa landed on the deck and so did Pyravian and Eenoch. As the Bakugan returned to Ball Form, Katara ran up to everyone. Aang woke up and saw them and said. "Hey, Katara. Hey Sokka. Thanks for coming."

"Yeah, thanks." Hoshi said, before Sokka said. "While, I couldn't let you guys have all the fun."

"I dropped my staff." Aang said as Sokka went after it. Hoshi then saw Zuko get back on deck and was going to hit Sokka with his Firebending. Hoshi then shouted, raising his hand. "Sokka looked out." Sokka turned to see Zuko and just before he launched a fire attack. A block of ice attack hit him in the face and he fell over again. Sokka then said to Katara. "Thanks Katara."

"That wasn't me." Katara said as more Fire Nation soldiers appeared behind them. "Katara watch out!" Hoshi said as he moved his hand to push Katara out of the way, but then another ice attack knocked them off the ship. Saida then had an idea and said. "Hoshi, I think those attacks were you. You're a Waterbender!"

"Talk later. Sokka staff. Everyone onto Appa!" Miguel said, taking charge. As Aang got onto Appa with Saida, Katara, Hoshi and Miguel helped. Sokka grabbed Aang's staff, but he wasn't the only one. Alex also grabbed it as he tried to get back on the ship. Sokka yakked it away and then hit Alex's head with it. Alex fell down a little and Sokka said to him. "Ha! That was form the Water Tribe!"

"I'll remember this." Alex said as he started to climb again. Next to Appa, Katara just helped Saida into the saddle and most of the Fire Nation Soldiers got up and got in front of her. Katara then had an idea. She tried to use her Waterbending to freeze them. But it went backwards and hit Sokka. Sokka then said to his sister, "Katara!"

"Turn around." Sadia said and Katara figured out what she meant. Katara turned around and did it again, but this time it froze the Fire Nation Soldiers. "Nice one Katara. Now hop on. You too, Sokka!"

"I'm just a guy with a boomerang. I didn't ask for all this fly, giant beast and magic. Yip Yip! Yip Yip!" Sokka said as Appa started to fly away. Iroh finally came out and saw them leaving. Alex finally got up and Iroh helped Zuko up. Zuko then said. "Shoot them down!" Zuko, Iroh and Alex, who were following Iroh's movement, launched a giant fireball at them. Everyone was thinking of a way to stop it, and luckily Aang had a plan. By using his staff, he created an air curtain that pushed the fireball into an ice wall. Ice and snow crashed down onto Zuko's ship, stopping them and giving Aang and the others a way to escape. Iroh got up and said to Zuko. "Good news for the Fire Lord. The Fire Nation's greatest threat is just a little kid."

"That kid, uncle, just did this. I won't underestimate him again." Zuko said before Alex said. "We shouldn't underestimate the Brawlers with him."

"You know them?"

"Yes and they are strong."

"Then stop talking and dig this ship out and follow them."

"We can't. Ryerazu needs time to recover and the other Firebenders are still heping the once frozen." Alex said, pointing to the frozen Soldiers. Some of the Firebenders tried to de-froze them. Zuko turned away and said. "As soon as you're done with that." Back with Aang and the others. Hoshi and the others explain who they were and where they came from. Sokka then said to them. "So let me get this straight. You three are realy from another world and you have a thing called Bakugan that is made of six elements?"

"Yeah, that's right." Miguel said and Katara said. "Are there Benders in your world?"

"No and I have no idea how I can even Waterbend." Hoshi said look at his hand. Katara then said to them. "Now that we've heard your story. Aang, how did you do that with the water? It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen."

"I don't know. I just sort of did it."

"Why didn't you tell us you were the Avatar?"

"Because I never wanted to be." Aang said and everyone went quiet. Everyone was trying to find the right words to say to Aang. Katara was the first to speak. "But, Aang, the world's been waiting for the Avatar to return and finally put an end to this war."

"And how am I going to do that?"

"According to legend, you need to first master Water, then Earth, then Fire, right?"

"That's what the Monks told me."

"Well, if we go to the North Pole, you can master Waterbending."

"We could all learn it together."

"And Sokka, I'm sure you'll get to knock some Firebender heads on the way."

"I'd like that. I'd really like that."

"And we can find you guys a way home." Katara said and they agreed. "Then we're in this together."

"All right, but before I learn Waterbending, we have some serious business to attend to here, here, and here." Aang said, pulling out a map. Hoshi then said to Aang. "Why are we going there instead of going to the North Pole?"

"Here, we'll ride the Hopping Llamas. Then way over here we'll surf on the back of Giant Koi Fish. Then back over here we'll ride the Hog Monkeys. They don't like people riding them, but that's what makes it fun!" Aang said as they flew into the sunset.
