Brawl 1 Water: Chapter 10 Jet and Cimoga

A few days after the whole pirate incident. The gang was packing up their camp in a forest cover in fall leaves. The only one missing was Momo. Momo was looking for food and found a big pile of nuts on some leaves. So when he touched the nuts, a metal trap dragged him up to be with two other animals, also in cages. Back at camp, they were just about to leave, when Aang said. "Where's Momo?"

"He was just here." Phaedrus said before they heard Momo screeching. They all went to where the screeching came from and saw Momo in the trap. Hoshi then said to everyone. "Phaedrus, Pyravian, Eenoch, you three cut them down, but not at the same time. Aang gets ready to catch them. Then we'll free them after that."

"Got it." All of them said as they got ready. One by one the Bakugan cut the cage down and Aang caught them. Once all of the animals were free, Sokka looked at the traps and said. "These are Fire Nation Traps."

"How can you tell?" Miguel said before Sokka said. "I can tell from the metalwork."

"Then let's finish packing and get out of this forest before they find us." Hoshi said what Sokka was going to say. As they were going back to Appa, Sokka was starting to get really annoyed with Hoshi taking over the leadership role in the group and Sokka was more of a joke than anything else. At the camp, they had everything on Appa, and Hoshi said to everyone. "Ok, let's get out of here."

"Wait! No flying this time." Sokka said and they all looked at him. Aang then said to him. "What? Why wouldn't we fly?"

"Think about it. Somehow Prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because they spot Appa, he's just too noticeable." Sokka said before Katara said. "What? Appa's not too noticeable"

"He's a gigantic fluffy monster with an arrow on his head! It's kind of hard to miss him." Sokka said and Appa growled a little. Saida then slapped Sokka's head and said. "Don't call Appa a monster."

"Sokka, why don't you want to fly?" Centipod said what his partner was thinking. Sokka then said to them. "I know you all want to fly, but my instinct tells me we should play it safe this time and walk."

"Who made you the boss?" Katara said before Sokka said. "I'm not the boss, I'm the leader."

"You're the leader? But your voice still cracks." Katara said before Sokka said with a deep voice. "I'm the oldest, and I'm a warrior! So I'm the leader."

"If anyone's the leader, it's Aang. I mean, he is the Avatar." Katara said and then Sokka said. "Are you kidding? He's just a goofy kid."

"He's right." Aang said as he was hanging upside down on one of Appa's horns. Miguel then said to them. "Then Hoshi should be the leader."

"Why him?" Sokka said before Saida said. "Sokka, you might be older than us, but Hoshi has more experience leading people and his judgment is better than yours."

"Hey my judgment is top notice." Sokka said before Saida said. "Sokka, you thought we were spies and kicked us out of the village, before Zuko or Alex appeared and then you were defeated without them even breaking a sweat. And then you thought Aang was in trouble during his talk with Hei Bai, attacked Hei Bai and then got kidnapped by Hei Bai."

"Yeah Sokka, your judgment is terrible." Katara said and before Sokka could say anything. Hoshi said to everyone. "Sokka, while it is good to listen to one's instincts, you must also be aware of one's surroundings."

"I am aware of my surroundings." Sokka said before Hoshi said. "I mean knowing what is around you. For example, this area gives us cover in the sky from any Fire Nation forces camping in this area, but on the ground. The open areas are good for an ambush, if we don't walk into traps. And the bushes are so thick, we won't see anything, until we walk through them or something jumps out of them."

"Still, let's walk." Aang said as he got Appa with his things. Aang then said to them. "Who knows? Walking might be fun."

"I wonder how long it will take for him to change his mind?" Centipod said as they started walking. A few hours later, Aang got bored and said. "Walking stinks! How did people go anywhere without a Flying Bison?"

"I don't know, Aang. Why don't you ask Sokka's instincts? They seem to know everything." Katara said before Sokka pretended to laugh. Aang then said, a little annoyed. "I'm tired of carrying this pack."

"Then you should have left it on Appa like the rest of us." Hoshi said and he took the pack. As Hoshi put it on Appa's saddle. Miguel then said to Hoshi. "Wait, don't give it to Appa, let Sokka instincts carry it." Katara laughed and Sokka said to them. "Ok, ok, I get it! Look, guys, I'm tired, too. But the important thing is that we're safe from the Fire Nation." Just then they all walked right into a Fire Nation camp with all of their members out eating dinner. Saida then said to Sokka. "What was that about being safe from the Fire Nation?"

"Run now! Talk later!" Hoshi yelled and they all ran. The gang left the area and the Fire Nation soldiers followed them. The one that looked like a commander shot fire at them and blocked their way to Appa. Sokka then said to everyone. "We're cut off!"

"Sokka, your shirt!" Aang said as Sokka realized that his shirt was on fire. Katara put on the fire with her Waterbending skills. Hoshi looked around and noticed people hiding in the trees. He didn't know who, but he knew that they had weapons and weren't Fire Nation. So Hoshi got in front of his friends and said. "Fire Nation! I'm going to count down from 3, and if you don't surrender when I hit 0, you will all regret it. 3…!" The Fire Nation laughed. "2…!" The gang was wondering what Hoshi was doing. "1…!" Hoshi then pointed his fingers like a gun at the commander. "0." Hoshi said and flicked his finger like he just fired a gun. That is when the commander was hit in the back of the head by a rock. They all looked at the commander and Aang said to Hoshi. "Wow, Hoshi! How did you do that?"

"I didn't. They did." Hoshi said as the people in the trees attacked. The first one down was the leader, a man wearing all kinds of gear and had two swords with hooks at the end. But what stood out was his Hexagon eyes. The next was a little kid that was wearing a helmet bigger than his head. A guy wearing furs and very skilled without a weapon. A girl who looked like a wild child. A very tall and big dude with a log for a weapon. The only one in the trees was an archer with great marksmanship. The gang joined the battle, and the leader saw Aang, Katara and Hoshi use their bending skills on the soldiers, and was impressed. Saida and Miguel were even able to get a few soldiers too. The only one that didn't get a win was Sokka, because he just stood still or was too slow to get a hit in. A few seconds later, all of the Fire Nation soldiers that were still conscious grabbed the ones that were unconscious and all of them then ran away. The leader walked up to them and said to Hoshi, while giving him his hand. "Thanks for the help, we've been waiting all morning to ambush those Firebenders. We just need the right distraction. And then you guys appeared and helped us."

"No problem." Hoshi said as he took Jet's hand. Centipod appeared and said. "Partner, I feel another Bakugna close by."

"Your Bakugan has some fine tune scenes." A male Bakugan said as he jumped out of the leader's pocket. He landed on the leader's right shoulder and they all saw a gray lizard Bakugan with green armor and six green swords for arms. The Bakugan then said to his partner. "I think it's time for introductions."

"Ok, I'm Jet, this is Cimoga." Jet pointed to his Bakugan. "And these are my Freedom Fighters. Sneers," Jet pointed to the guy in fur. "Longshot," Jet pointed to the archer. "Smellerbee," Jet pointed to the girl. "The Duke, and Pipsqueak." Jet said, pointing to the small and big guys. Aang walked over to them and said to the small one. "Pipsqueak, that's a funny name."

"You think my name is funny?" The big dude said and that's when they realized that the big dude was Pipsqueak and the little dude was The Duke. Aang then said to Pipsqueak. "It's hilarious!" Pipsqueak then laughed and gave Aang a slap to the back, but that caused him to fall over. Hoshi then said to Jet. "Our turn for introductions. I'm Hoshi, this is Centipod, Aang and Phaedrus, Katara, Sadia and Pyravian, Miguel and Eenoch, and that's Sokka."

"Nice to meet you." Jet said before turning to his men and saying. "Alright, check the camp for supplies and make it quick. I don't want those Firebenders to come back with reinforcements." His men nodded and started to loot the camp for supplies. A few minutes later, Jet was leaning on a tree and Katara walked up to him and said. "Um, thanks for saving us, Jet. We're lucky you were there."

"You're welcome, by the way? Your leader seems like he's got his head on right, how did he lead you all into this camp?" Jet said as they watched Hoshi and others help Jet's men with looking for supplies. "He didn't lead us here, we were following my brother's instincts." Katara said pointing to Sokka, who was just leaning on a tree and mad at Hoshi and Jet. Jet then said to Katara. "Instincts, huh? You'll get yourself killed doing that."

"Hey, Jet, Cimoga, these barrels are filled with Blasting Jelly." The Duke said to Jet and Cimoga as he was looking inside a barrel. Jet then said to The Duke. "That's a great score."

"And these boxes are filled with Jellied Candy." Pipsqueak said holding boxes. Jet then said to him. "Also good. Let's not get those mixed up."

"We'll take the stuff back to the hideout." The Duke said as they put everything onto a cart that the Fire Nation Soldiers left behind. As Pipsqueak put the last of the supplies on the cart and got ready to pull it, Aang turned to Jet and said. "You guys have a hideout?"

"You want to see it?" Jet said to them and Katara said to him. "Yes, we want to see it!" They all then walked a good distance away from the Fire Nation camp and Jet stop and then said to everyone. "We're here."

"Where? There's nothing here." Sokka said before Jet gave Sokka a rope and rope dragged Sokka above the trees. Aang used his Airbending to follow Sokka, and Phaedrus followed Aang. Hoshi, Saida and Miguel took a rope and went up. Katara shared a rope with Jet and with the light from the sun setting, the beautiful leafs falling around them and the spinning from the rope, Katara felt a touch of romance and blushed at the sight of Jet. Above was Jet hideout, which was a lot of tree houses connected to one another with bridges and had platforms and zip lines that were a shortcut to the lower tree houses and the only way out of the hideout. As the others were looking around, Aang said as he was using a zip line. "Nice place you got!"

"It's beautiful up here." Katara said before Jet said. "It's beautiful, and more importantly, The Fire Nation can't find us."

"They would love to find you, wouldn't they, Jet." Smellerbee said as she and the others joined them. Jet then said to Smellerbee. "It's not going to happen, Smellerbee."

"Why does the Fire Nation want to find you?" Katara said before Jet said. "I guess you could say I've been causing them a little trouble."

"Is there a Fire Nation village around here?" Hoshi said as Jet started to show them around. Jet looked at Hoshi and said. "They took over a nearby Earth Kingdom town a few years back."

"We've been ambushing their troops, cutting off their supply lines, and doing anything we can to mess with them." Pipsqueak said before Cimoga said. "But those were just little things until I appeared."

"How have you helped? You weren't in the last battle?" Sokka said before Hoshi said. "Sokka, if Jet rolled Cimoga out, then Cimoga would have smashed them and the supplies, too big of a loss for a small win."

"Your leader's right, Sokka. And I might have been a small victory, but one day, we'll drive the Fire Nation out of here for good, and free that town." Jet said before Katara said. "That's so brave."

"Yeah, nothing's braver than a guy in a tree house." Sokka said before Katara said. "Don't pay any attention to my brother."

"No problem. He probably had a rough day." Jet said before Katara said to him. "So, you all live here?"

"That's right. Longshot over there, his town got burned down by the Fire Nation. And we found The Duke trying to steal our food. I don't think he ever really had a home." Jet said before Saida said. "Jet, why are there only kids with circle shaped eyes here?"

"With the Fire Nation so close, the Hexes ran away to Ba Sing Se, the only safe place in all of the Earth Kingdom for Hexes."

"Then why didn't you run away with the others?" Katara said and Jet stopped. The other kept walking and Jet said to Katara, who stopped with him. "After what they took from me, I will never run away from the Fire Nation again."

"What did they take from you?"

"The Fire Nation killed my parents. I just turned 8 and we found out that I'm a Hex. My parents and I were getting ready to leave for Be Sing Se when the Fire Nation attacked my village. My parents distracted them so I could run away. The last thing I saw was my parents getting killed by a Firebender. That day changed me forever."

"Sokka and I lost our mother to the Fire Nation."

"I'm so sorry, Katara." Jet said and they both stood there and remembered the loved ones they had lost. That night, Jet and his Freedom Fighter were having a feast, and the gang was also invited. Before anyone could eat, Jet said to everyone. "Today, we struck another blow against the Fire Nation swine." Jet men then cheered. "I got a special joy from the look on one soldier's face, when The Duke dropped down on his helmet and rode him like a wild Hog-Monkey!" Jet said and everyone cheered for The Duke. "Now, the Fire Nation thinks they don't have to worry about a couple of kids hiding in the trees. Maybe they're right." Jet said and everyone booed. "Or maybe, they're dead wrong." Jet said and everyone cheered. Jet took his seat and Katara said to him. "Hey, Jet, nice speech."

"Thanks. By the way, I was really impressed with you, Hoshi, and Aang. That was some great Bending I saw out there today."

"Well, Aang is great. He's the Avatar. Hoshi and I could use more training."

"No arguments here." Hoshi said as he grabbed some meat from the table. Jet then to Aang. "Avatar, huh? Very nice."

"Thanks, Jet." Aang said as Phaedrus some nuts. Jet then said to Katara. "So I might know a way that you and Aang can help in our struggle."

"Unfortunately, we have to leave tonight." Sokka said as he left the table. Jet then said to Sokka before he was too far gone. "Sokka, you're kidding me. I need you on an important mission tomorrow."

"What mission?" Sokka said and the next day, Sokka was with Jet, Cimoga, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee, hiding in the trees waiting for Fire Nation soldiers to arrive. In the tree with Sokka, Jet and Cimoga, Jet was giving orders to Pipsqueak and Smellerbee with bird calls. Smellerbee answered the bird call and Sokka stabbed the tree with his knife. Cimoga made Jet know what Sokka was doing and Jet said to Sokka. "What are you doing?"

"Shh. It amplifies vibrations." Sokka said as he put his ear to the knife. "Good trick." Cimoga said and after a few minutes, Jet said to Sokka. "Anything?"

"Nothing yet. Wait, yes! Someone's approaching."

"How many?"

"I think there's just one." Sokka said before Jet let Pipsqueak and Smellerbee know with a bird call. Jet then said to Sokka. "Good work, Sokka. Ready your weapon." Sokka pulled out his knife and drew a club. That's when they all realized that what Sokka sensed wasn't a soldier or anyone dangerous, but an old man wearing a red rope. "Wait! False alarm. He's just an old man." Sokka said, but Jet didn't care. Jet grabbed Cimoga and said as he jumped down. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" Cimoga then grew to his normal size in front of the old man. The old man fell down in fear and Sokka walked as Jet walked up to him as Pipsqueak and Smellerbee landed behind the old man. (Cimoga 500) Jet then said to the man as Sokka got out of the tree. "What are you doing in our woods, you leech?"

"Please, sir, call off your monster, I'm just a traveler."

"Do you like destroying towns? Do you like destroying families? Do you?"

"Oh, please, let me go. Have mercy."

"Does the Fire Nation let people go? Does the Fire Nation have mercy?" Jet said and was going to kick the old man, but Sokka stopped his kick with his club and said. "Jet, he's just an old man!"

"He's Fire Nation! Search him!" Jet said and Pipsqueak and Smellerbee started to search the old man's stuff. Sokka looked at them and then said to Jet. "But he's not hurting anyone."

"Have you forgotten that the Fire Nation killed your mother? Remember why you fight!" Jet said before Smellerbee let them know that she had the old man stuff. Sokka then said to Jet. "This doesn't feel right."

"It's what has to be done. Now let's get out of here." Jet said as he returned Cimoga to his ball form and left with Pipsqueak and Smellerbee. Sokka was the last to leave, but not before remembering the look of terror on the old man's face. Back at the hideout, Sokka was hiding from the others, trying to cool down. That's when Aang found him and Phaedrus said as they came down the zip line. "Sokka, look what the Duke gave Aang."

"They are called Firecrackers." Aang said as he pulled out a Firecracker from his pocket and threw it at Momo. Momo wasn't happy and quickly grabbed all of Aang Firecrackers and threw them at Aang's feet. That's when Katara appears, and as Katara was talking to Sokka, Hoshi appeared too. "Hey, Sokka. Is Jet back?"

"Yeah, he's back. But we're leaving." Sokka said and while Aang and Katara wondered why, Hoshi said to him. "Sokka, what happened on the mission?"

"Jet's show me that he's a thug."

"Wait!? No, he's not." Katara said before Sokka said. "He's messed up, Katara."

"He's not messed up. He's just got a different way of life. A really fun way of life." Aang said before Centipod said. "Sokka, why is Jet a thug?"

"He used his Bakugan to scare a harmless old man, used his men to take his stuff and would have beat him up if I wasn't there." Sokka said before Katara said. "I want to hear Jet's side of the story." Katara said as they all walked to the tree house that Jet was in. There, Katara told Jet what Sokka told them and Jet said to them. "Sokka, you told them what happened, but you didn't mention that the guy was Fire Nation?"

"No, he conveniently left that part out." Katara said, looking at Sokka. Sokka then said to everyone. "Fine, but even if he was Fire Nation, he was a harmless civilian."

"He was an assassin, Sokka." Jet said as he pulled out a knife and stabbed it in a stump. Jet opened a small compartment in the hilt of the blade and said to them. "See? There's a compartment for poison in the knife. He was sent to eliminate me. You help save my life, Sokka."

"I knew there was an explanation." Katara said before Sokka said. "I didn't see any knife."

"That's because he was concealing it." Jet said before Katara said. "See, Sokka? I'm sure you just didn't notice the knife."

"There was no knife! I'm going back to the hut and packing my things." Sokka said as he left. And before they could go after Sokka, Jet said to them. "Tell me you guys aren't leaving yet. I really need your help."

"What can we do?" Aang said before Jet said. "The Fire Nation is playing on burning down our forest. If you three use Waterbending to fill the reservoir, we could fight the fires. But if you leave now, they'll destroy the whole valley."

"Then let me talk to Sokka, alone." Hoshi said, looking at Katara before he went after Sokka. Hoshi found Sokka already in the tree house they were staying in and had already had most of his things packed. Sokka heard Hoshi come in and said to him. "I don't care what you have to say, we are leaving now."

"Not until after we see what is really going on here." Hoshi said and that stopped Sokka from packing. "What do you mean?" Sokka said and before Hoshi could say anything. Saida and Miguel appeared with their eyes circle shaped. Miguel then said to Hoshi. "Hoshi, we checked out the town like you asked."

"You had them check on the town?" Sokka said and Hoshi said. "Yes, so what did you find out?"

"Well, the town was once an Earth Kingdom town, but it was abandoned when the front lines of the war reached this area." Miguel said before Saida said. "And the town is no more than a rest stop for people coming from ship and going to a Fire Nation town to sell their items and vice versa. Also it didn't have a lot of Fire Nation soldiers until about 3 months ago."

"What do you mean by that?" Sokka said as Saida pulled out a map that showed the forest. "Apparently, going to the town in the middle of the forest was the safest, and the quickest way to other Fire Nation towns, but because of Jet and his men, everyone trying to reach the town has been robbed of all their supplies. And without the people coming and supplies getting stolen, the town is close to ruin. The people would leave, but they don't want to run into Jet and Cimoga and lose everything."

"So, Jet is more of a danger to this area than the Fire Nation." Sokka said before Hoshi said. "Looks like my instincts were right."

"You listen to your instincts, Hoshi?" Sokka said before Hoshi said. "Of course Sokka, my grandpa always said that a leader should listen to one's mind, one's instincts, and have faith in the people around them. Now back on topic, after hearing all of these, I can't figure out if what Jet told us was the truth or not."

"What did Jet tell you?" Saida said before Hoshi said. "Jet said that he needs Katara, Aang, and my Waterbending skills to fill up the reservoir so the Fire Nation doesn't burn down the forest."

"You think it's a lie?" Miguel said before Hoshi said. "Yes, but after hearing how bad the town is thanks to Jet, the Fire Nation might risk the safety of the town to finally destroy the problem."

"So what's the plan?" Sokka said and Hoshi told them his plan. That night, as Jet thought the gang was sleeping, Jet along with a lot of the best men left the hideout. But Sokka, Saida, and Miguel saw them and followed them. Jet to his men to a dam that was very close to the town with all of the Blasting Jelly they stole from the camp. Sokka, Saida, and Miguel were watching them as Jet said. "Now listen. You're not to blow the dam until I give the signal. If the reservoir isn't full, the Fire Nation troops could survive."

"But what about the people in the town? Won't they get wiped out, too?" The Duke said and Cimoga said to him. "Look, Duke, that's the price of ridding this area of the Fire Nation."

"He's right. Now don't blow the dam until I give the signal. Got it?" Jet said to Longshot. Longshot nodded yes and that caused Sokka, Saida, and Miguel to leave, but were stopped by Pipsqueak and Smellerbee. "Where do you think you're going?" Smellerbee said as Pipsqueak grabbed Sokka by his hair. And before Saida and Miguel could roll out Pyravian and Eenoch, Smellerbee pulled out a knife and put it next to Sokka's neck. She then said to them. "If you roll out your Bakugan, then Katara will lose her brother, just like how she lost her mom."

"Grab their Bakugan and bring them here." Jet said see everything that just happened. Sneers grabbed Pyravian and Eenoch and put them in a bag. Pipsqueak and Smellerbee pushed them to the clearing and Jet said to them. "Sokka, Saida, Miguel, I'm so glad you three decided to join us."

"We heard your plan to destroy the Earth Kingdom town." Sokka said as they got up. "Our plan is to rid the valley of the Fire Nation."

"By killing families?" Saida said and Jet said. "We can't win without making some sacrifices."

"You lied to the others about the forest fire." Sokka said and Jet said. "Because they don't understand the demands or war. Not like you and I do, Sokka."

"I do understand. I understand that there's nothin you won't do to get what you want." Sokka said and Saida and Miguel agreed with him. Jet then said to them. "I was hoping you'd have an open mind. But I can see you all have made your choice." Then Jet men tied them up and Jet then said to them. "I can't let you warn the others. Take them for a walk. A long walk."

"You can't do this!" Sokka said as Sneer, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee took them away. "Cheer up, guys. We're going to win a great victory against the Fire Nation today." Jet said as the sun started to rise. The morning, Jet was taking Hoshi, Katara, and Aang to the reservoir. On the way, Katara said to Jet. "Jet, I'm sorry about how Sokka's been acting."

"No worries." Jet said before Hoshi said. "So, are we there yet?" Then a steam vent fired under Aang. "Yes we are." Jet said as Aang came down safe. Jet then said to them as they noticed the other steam vents. "Underground water's trying to escape from these vents. I need you guys to help it along."

"I've never used Bending on water I can't see. I don't know…" Katara said before Jet said to her. "Katara, you can do this."

"What about us?" Aang said and Jet said. "I know you guys got this." They then started Waterbending on the vent and after a minute or so, the vent started to shoot out water. "Yes! Good job. This river empties into the reservoir. A few more geysers and it will be full." Jet said as Aang went to another steam vent. Jet then said to them, before he and Cimoga left. "Ok, you two keep it up, We'll go check on things at the reservoir."

"When we're done, we'll meet you over there." Katara said, causing Jet to panic a little. But he quickly regained his composure and said. "Actually, probably better if you meet me back at the hideout when you're done." Jet then left and they started to fill up the reservoir. After they turned six vents into geysers, the river had a lot of water flowing into it. Aang then said to the others. "I bet that's enough. And I'm not just saying that to be lazy."

"Let's catch up with Jet at the reservoir." Hoshi said as he started to make his way to the reservoir. Aang looked at Hoshi and said. "I thought we agreed to meet Jet back at the hideout."

"It is not a bad idea. I'm sure he'll be happy to see us." Katara said as she followed Hoshi and Aang followed Katara. In the forest, Sokka and the others were still prisoners. "How can you stand by and do nothing while Jet wipes out a whole town?" Sokka said to Sneer, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee. Pipsqueak then said to Sokka. "Hey, listen, Sokka, Jet's a great leader. We follow what he says, and things always turn out ok."

"Even if he turns you all into the same monsters you all are fighting." Saida said and that caused Sneer, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee to stop and think for a moment. In that moment, Miguel grabbed that bag holding Pyravian and Eenoch and they all ran to a clearing that had hidden Fire Nation traps. Sneer, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee ran after them, but unlike Sokka, Saida, and Miguel, they didn't see the traps until they had already activated them and were in the air. "While you two are up there, you might want to practice your knot work." Sokka said as he, Saida, and Miguel were able to untie themselves and left them.

At the dam, Hoshi, Katara, and Aang saw Jet's men put the Blasting Jelly very close to the dam. "What are they doing?" Katara said before Hoshi said. "Isn't it obvious, they are using the Blasting Jelly to blow up the dam." Hoshi pointed to the town and Katara said in disbelief. "What? No, that would destroy the town. Jet wouldn't do that."

"I've got to stop him." Aang said as he was getting ready to fly to the dam. But before Aang could leave, Jet appeared and not only took Aang's glider, but stole Phaedrus too. "Yes, I would." Jet said as he turned to them. Katara then said to Jet as Centipod jumped into Hoshi's hand. "Jet, why?"

"Katara, you would, too, if you just stop to think. Think about what the Fire Nation did to your mother. We can't let them do that to anyone else ever again."

"This isn't the answer." Katara said before Hoshi said stepping in front of Aang and Katara. "Jet, I had feelings about you, but now I know. You have become the monster that the Fire Nation has become, so for the safety of the people in that town, I will defeat you."

"I hoped you and Sokka would understand, but it wasn't meant to be." Jet said as he grabbed Cimoga and put Phaedrus in a bag. Katara then realized that Jet had done something to her brother, and her heart was broken. "Bakugan Brawl!" Hoshi and Jet yelled as they threw Centipod and Cimoga to their respected Baku-Cores. "Bakugan Stand!" Hoshi and Jet yelled as Centipod and Cimoga classed, but Centipod beat him. (Centipod 600 / Cimoga 450) Cimoga got up and then he and Jet ran into the forest. Centipod and Hoshi chased after them. Centipod and Hoshi lost track of them in the forest until they were jumped by Cimoga, who attacked Centipod, and Jet, who attacked Hoshi with their blades. Centipod and Hoshi parley dodged them and got a nice cut on Hoshi's right leg and the lower part of Centipod. (Centipod 525) Centipod then said to Cimoga as Hoshi pulled out his water from a stream of water he was close to. "Cimoga, why are you helping him? This is evil."

"There is no evil in war." Cimoga said as Jet picked up a Bak-Core and said. "Cimoga, Sword Dance!"

"On it." Cimoga said as the Core entered him. (Cimoga 550) Cimoga started to spin and his blades started to glow. As Cimoga charged at Centipod with great speed and cut down a few of the trees that were in the way. Hoshi quickly picked up a Baku-Core, but before he could give it to Centipod, Jet attacked Hoshi, causing him to drop the Core and then Jet kicked Hoshi away. Centipod was so distracted by Jet attacking Hoshi, that he forgot about Cimoga until it was too late. The attack hit and caused Centipod great damage before sending Centipod flying. (Centipod 375) As Hoshi and Centipod got up, Centipod said. "You know, Hoshi? We need to up are game if the Brawler fights too."

"Yeah." Hoshi said as he grabbed at Baku-Core. "But watch out for the dam." Hoshi said as he tossed it to Centipod. Centipod caught it and Hoshi said. (Centipod 400) "Mist Field!" Centipod then created a cloud of mist that was cold and covered the whole area. Jet and Cimoga couldn't see Hoshi and Centipod, so they jumped into the trees, hoping to see them. But it backfired. "Bubble Blaster!" Centipod said as a stream of very fast bubbles fired at Cimoga. Cimoga noticed Centipods' attack too late and fell out of the tree. (Cimoga 350) As Jet looked at Cimoga, Hoshi used a long water whip to hit Jet's left leg and Jet fell out of the tree. As they were getting up, the mist was starting to clear up and Hoshi and Centipod attacked Jet and Cimoga. Both parties attacked one another, and caused damage to one another and the environment. (Centipod 200 / Cimoga 175) Jet then said to Cimoga as he kicked Hoshi away and the mist was gone. "Cimoga, Saber Slash!"

"Got it." Cimoga said he joined all of his blades together and when he broke it, he fired a green slash at Centipod. "Centipod, stop it with Water Shield." Hoshi said giving Centipod a Baku-Core. (Centipod 300) Centipod then made his Water Shield, but Cimoga Saber Slash cut threw it and hit Centipod. (Centipod 100) After Centipod landed, Jet said as he and Cimoga got ready to attack. "You should join us, Hoshi. Then you would be on the winning side."

"That's where you're wrong, Jet, I am on the winning side." Hoshi said with a smile. Jet wondered why Hoshi was smiling, but figured it out when Katara hit him in the back with a stream of water. That caused Jet to drop Aang's glider and the bag holding Phaedrus. As Jet was getting pushed back, Cimoga took his eye off the battle and Centipod said as he fired an attack from his mouth. "Tsunami Cannon!"

"NO!" Cimoga yelled as he noticed it too late and was hit hard and returned to ball form. (Cimoga 0) Jet caught Cimoga and in that moment, Katara slammed Jet into a tree before she froze it. As Centipod returned to Hoshi, Aang grabbed his glider and the bag holding Phadrus, and Katara said to Jet. "Why, Jet? I can't believe I trusted you. You lied to me! You're sick, and I trusted you!" Jet then did a bird call. They all looked at the reservoir and saw that it was full. Katara then said to Jet. "What are you doing?"

"You're too late." Jet said and they all knew that Jet had given the signal to his men. Aang tried to fly to the dam, but his glider had been ruined by the fight, so Aang couldn't fly. They all watch in horror as Longshot fired a arrow with a fire tip at the Blasting Jelly. "No." Katara said as the Blasting Jelly exploded and the dam was destroyed. The water rushed out of the dam and in a few seconds the town was completely destroyed. As Hoshi helped Aang up and freed Phaedrus from the bag, Katara said. "All those people." She then turned to Jet and yelled. "Jet, you monster!"

"This was a victory, Katara. Remember that. The Fire Nation is gone, and this valley will be safe."

"It will be safe, without you." Sokka said as he appeared over the edge with Saida, Miguel, their Bakugan, Momo and Appa. Katara and Aang were happy to see them, Saida said to Jet. "After Miguel and I hid our eyes, we all wanted the villagers of your plan."

"Just in time, too." Miguel said and Jet yelled. "What?!"

"At first, they didn't believe us. The Fire Nation soldiers assumed I was a spy. But one man vouched for us, the old man you attacked. He urged them to trust us, and we got everyone out in time." Sokka said and at the high ground near the town, the villagers were getting over the shock of what just happened. "Your plan worked Hoshi." Sokka said as he gave Hoshi a hand. Jet looked at Hoshi and said. "You told them to save them?"

"Yes, because I knew they would save them." Hoshi said as he took Sokka's hand and got onto Appa. Jet then yelled at them. "You fools! We could have freed this valley!"

"Who would be free? Everyone would be dead." Sokka said as Aang got onto Appa. "You traitors!" Jet said with great anger. Sokka then said to Jet. "No, Jet. You became the traitor when you stopped protecting innocent people."

"And became the monster you were fighting." Hoshi said before Jet said to Katara. "Katara, please, help me."

"Goodbye, Jet." Katara said as she got on Appa and they left Jet all alone to think about what he had done. In the air, as Saida was treating Hoshi wounds, Aang said to Hoshi. "So, why didn't you have Sokka and the others go to the dam, instead of the town?"

"I thought about it, but the danger would still be there, even if they stop the dam destruction. With this, the people are safe, and they can leave the valley and find a better place to live."

"And that's why you're the leader." Sokka said before Katara said. "I can't believe my ears. Sokka just said that Hoshi is the leader."

"Uh, shut it." Sokka said as the others laughed, but Hoshi. Because now he knows that there are other Brawlers in this world now, and not all of them are going to do good with that power.
