Senator Feinstein called me.

The president was going to sign the funding bill that included twenty-nine billion dollars to fund sliding research.

I turned on the TV for the signing ceremony, held in the White House Rose Garden. I saw Feinstein and another Senator named Chuck Hagel, standing near President Bill Clinton.

"Among the things funded in this bill," said the President, "is research into interdimensional travel. We will soon be able to explore and study brand new worlds, right here on Earth."
