I watched you change

Into a fly

I looked away

You were on fire

And I watched a change in you

It's like you never had wings

Trunks and Ichigo completed their full year of preparation in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and sent word back to the Soul Society about the plan they had crafted with Gohan. Afterward, they honed their skills for ten days themselves on an empty Earth, surviving off of canned food and bottled water from abandoned supermarkets. Once they finished, the duo returned to Karakura Town, with their first order of business being to get haircuts from Ichigo's sister, Karin. They dedicated the next two days to resting and planning their strategies out with Urahara, Goten, Hitsugaya, and the other Saiyans, via the walkie-talkie.

The Research and Development Institute tracked Aizen and the Espada to their Hueco Mundo headquarters, known as Las Noches. With this information, Urahara and the group decided that the invasion would begin on February 25 at 9:00 a.m, one day before they predicted the Oken to be ready for activation. Trunks and Goten would fly from the Soul Society to Hueco Mundo via the Garganta to meet up with the other Saiyans who planned to travel with Whis.

Once there, they would travel to Las Noches, where each of the Saiyans would face off with their designated Espada. Through request and deliberation, they chose their opponents. Trunks would face Espada Nine and Five. Goten would take on Espada Eight and Two, while Gohan fought Espada Seven and Three. Vegeta would face off against numbers Six and One; Goku would battle number Four while being the first and hopefully the last to face off with Aizen.

Trunks, Ichigo, Goten, and Hitsugaya selected the group of Soul Reapers to travel as reinforcements. The list read:

Ichigo Kurosaki

Orihime Inoue

Kisuke Urahara

Yoruichi Shihoin

From Squad Two: Captain Soi Fon

From Squad Four: Captain Unohana, Lieutenant Kotetsu, and Hanataro Yamada

From Squad Five: Captain Hirako and Lieutenant Hinamori

From Squad Six: Lieutenant Abari

From Squad Seven: Captain Komamura

From Squad Nine: Lieutenant Hisagi

From Squad Ten: Captain Hitsugaya and Lieutenant Matsumoto

From Squad Thirteen: Lieutenant Kuchiki

All other captains and lieutenants were to be assigned to either the Earth or the Soul Society by the Head Captain. Though there were some glaring omissions from the Hueco Mundo list, like Captain Kuchiki and Captain Zaraki, they deemed it necessary that those persons stay behind in case of an emergency.

With all the final preparations made, February 25 arrived, and the fate of Universes Six and Seven was at hand. Trunks woke up early that day, and even though he couldn't shake some of his nerves, he felt assured that his training would prove enough to best his enemies. He dressed in his future counterpart's garments, hoping they would provide him with some luck for his upcoming battle. Ichigo and Orihime arrived at 8:00 a.m., and the group from Urahara's shop gathered on the front lawn while the other residents of the shop gave their goodbyes.

"Good luck to you all," Tessai told them. "We're counting on you."

"Please don't get too hurt," said Ururu.

Jinta hopped off the porch and ran over to Trunks. He stared up at him for a moment, then raised his fist. "Give 'em hell for me."

Trunks smirked and bumped it with his own. "I'll send 'em there and tell 'em to mail you a postcard."

"Even better," Jinta grinned.

With that, the group said their last goodbyes, and the group departed for the Soul Society. Once they arrived, Trunks and Ichigo flew the group towards the Soul Reapers selected to travel to Hueco Mundo. Upon arrival, Trunks noticed something strange. In front of the Squad Twelve Barracks, the Soul Reapers stood in front of a semicircle of flat-screen TVs sitting on stands.

"What's with the TVs?" Trunks asked Kisuke.

"We'll be watching you from here," Urahara said. "Captain Kurotsuchi and I developed tiny cameras that track and transmit a live video feed from all of you. Whenever any of you gives the signal for us, we'll see and/or hear it."

"It's just like a pay-per-view fight," Ichigo said. "Except our lives depend on it."

Trunks scanned for Goten and Toshiro, but spotted Soi Fon beside Captain Komamura. She stared back at him with her arms folded. He hadn't seen her since he came back, so he jumped at the opportunity to speak with her.

"Hey," he greeted. "Haven't seen you around these last couple of days."

"I had some preparation to do for today," Soi Fon said. "I also needed some rest from the intense gravity."

"Did you reach the maximum?"

Soi Fon nodded. "I didn't have time to get comfortable with it, but it'll have to do given the time constraints."

A smile spread across his face. "I knew you could do it."

"Hmph, and what about your training? Where did you disappear to?"

"Well, I'll tell you about that some other time, but let's just say that it should be enough to get the job done."

Soi Fon smirked. "Aren't you confident today? And here I thought that I'd have to save you."

"Maybe I'll get to bring back Aizen's head as a trophy."

Soi Fon dropped her grin and unfolded her arms. "Don't be over-ambitious and get yourself killed."

The corners of Trunks' mouth sank. "I know… I just plan on making them all pay." Before he carried on, Goten and Toshiro dropped from the sky. "Guess I should go meet up with him," He gestured a small wave. "Wish me luck."

After he took two steps away from her, Soi Fon called him back. "Hold on!"

Trunks turned around with raised eyebrows. "What's up?"

"I um…" Soi Fon cleared her throat. "It's nothing. Just… don't be stupid. Completing the objective doesn't have to come at the expense of your life."

"I'll be fine. I've worked too hard to lose everything now. Plus, we still have to celebrate when this is over."

"You're thinking about celebrating at a time like this? You're ridiculous!"

"I'll take that as a compliment. Some of the most successful people are a bit ridiculous." He smiled and waved once more. "See ya later."

Soi Fon lifted her hand, and Trunks walked towards Goten, who spoke with Ichigo and Urahara.

"Fashionably late, as always," Trunks said.

Goten faced him with his usual upbeat expression. "Hey, sorry I didn't get here earlier. We were doing some last-minute image training."

"No big deal. As long as you're ready, we can head out now."

"Alright, then." Goten turned to Urahara. "Hey, Kisuke. We're ready to head in now."

Kisuke nodded behind a control panel. With a push of a lever and a turn of a few knobs, a large portal opened up to reveal a black abyss.

"So, this is the Garganta." Goten stuck his head in. "Kinda spooky."

Urahara walked over to Trunks and held his hand out. "Here." He dropped five tiny objects into his hand. "These are the cameras we'll be watching you from. Once all five of you arrive, they'll activate on their own."

"Thanks." Trunks stepped closer towards the portal and took a deep breath. "Well, here goes nothing."

"Wait!" Ichigo blurted. "I know I've asked this a hundred times, but… are you sure that you wanna go through with this?"

Trunks grinned at him. "We'll be fine, and if worse comes to worst, we still have you as the secret weapon."

Ichigo smirked and lifted his fist. "Go get 'em, tiger. Also, if you end up seeing a little girl over there, her name is Nel. Tell her I said hi."

The two touched fists before Trunks powered up his aura and disappeared into the Garganta.

Goten bumped fists with Ichigo."Well, guess it's my turn now." He then faced the other Soul Reapers. "See you guys on the other side!"

"Good luck out there!" Momo cheered.

Rangiku chimed in. "Do your best, Goten!"

Toshiro, who stood next to his lieutenant, approached Goten. "Remember, this isn't a suicide mission. You don't have to throw your life away."

The smile on Goten's face dimmed. "I gotta do what I gotta do. A hundred billion people are banking on me not to fail, so I'll do everything I can to make sure I don't let them down."

Toshiro relented. "I understand. Best of luck to you, Goten."

Goten gave his friend a thumbs up. "Thank you, Toshiro, for everything. I couldn't have made it this far without you." Goten powered up and flew into the void.

Toshiro smiled as his friend soared away. Hmph, I should be the one thanking you.

While he strolled back to his lieutenant, the Garganta behind him slammed shut. Toshiro spun around, and all the other Soul Reapers gazed in shock.

"Was that supposed to happen, Kisuke?" Ichigo asked.

"No, not normally. It looks like Aizen's sealed our path to Hueco Mundo."

"Um, was it supposed to shut that hard?" Trunks asked.

Goten floated beside him. "It didn't the last time I saw it. It must've gotten shut by Aizen."

"Great. Guess we'll figure that out later. Come on, the sooner we get there, the better."

The duo flew in the opposite direction towards Hueco Mundo. While they both soared through the abyss, Goten turned toward his friend and smiled. "So, did guys plan an after-battle date yet?"

"Quit it," Trunks said. "Who knows if these things are already transmitting audio?"

"Good point. So, how are you feeling?"

"Nervous, but I'm also glad that we get to put all of our hard work to the test."

"Do you think it'll be enough?"

"It has to be enough. Even if we can't beat Aizen separately, we still have fusion."

Goten smirked. "Guess we won't have to rely on our dads this time."

Trunks returned a grin. "Nah, this is our time to shine."

The two flew through the void until a portal opened up ahead of them, revealing a barren landscape. After they sped out of the Garganta, they landed on a dune that overlooked the wasteland. The portal behind them closed, leaving them alone in the quiet world of Hollows.

Goten observed the giant castle off in the distance. "I guess that would be Las Noches over there. There's not much else here, though. No chance for a Spirit Bomb, that's for sure."

"No kidding. Is it too dry to use Hyorinmaru out here?"

"It's less than ideal, but that's what the Head Captain prepared us for."

They scanned the bleak horizon until the distant screams of a child pierced Trunks' ears. A little girl ran from the clutches of three Hollows, including a large one shaped like a worm.

Trunks directed Goten's attention. "Look! I think that's the girl Ichigo was talking about."

Goten glanced over and sprung into action. "Let's go. We gotta help her!"

The two raced over to her and skid to a stop in front of the Hollows. Trunks spun his head to the green-haired girl. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you at all?"

Nel plummeted to her knees with her head tucked. "Please don't hurt us, mister. Nel was only playing eternal tag with her brothers and pet. We promise we won't cause any trouble."

Trunks and Goten both shared a perplexed gaze. "Eternal tag?" Trunks asked.

Goten turned and looked to the Arrancar behind him on their knees, groveling as well. "So, these are your brothers, and I'm guessing that worm is your pet?"

Nel sat up and nodded. "Mhm!" She pointed to the Arrancar on her right. "That's Pesche."

"Hiya!" The insect-shaped Arrancar jumped to his feet.

Nel then pointed to her left. "That's Dondochakka."

The short, spotted Arrancar leaped to his toes. "Heya! What's going on?"

The little girl then pointed past Trunks and Goten. "And that's our pet, Bawabawa." The worm-like Hollow growled to greet them.

The duo stood as confused as ever until something caught Trunks' eye. Wait, that's a mask on her head. Is she an Arrancar? More details that Ichigo leaves out…

Pesche rushed in front of him and invaded his personal space. "Yeah, so who are you, huh? Huh?!"

"Um, I'm Trunks," he said.

"Trunks, huh? Well, I don't see any trunks on you. Why would you wear trunks here, anyway? There's no water. You should change your name to Shoes, or Pants, or Jacket."

"Same joke, different delivery," Trunks mumbled.

Dondochakka closed the distance between him and Goten. "Yeah, and who are you?"

Goten stared into the Arrancar's bulging eyes. "Oh, I'm Goten."

"Goten? You don't look like you're going anywhere. And why are you going to ten? Have you ever tried going to eleven, or going to nine?"

He let out a nervous chuckle. "Guess I'll have to ask my mom that one."

"Anyway," Trunks said. "We'll let you get back to that. Before we go through, Ichigo says hi."

Nel stood and gasped. "You guys know Itsigo?"

Trunks nodded. "He'll be here soon, but for now we're off to go fight Aizen."

In an instant, fear spread across the faces of the Arrancar. "You're g-gonna go fight Lord Aizen?" Nel asked. "But he's too strong."

Trunks grinned. "Don't sweat it. He won't be a problem after today."

Trunks and Goten said their goodbyes, then departed back to where they came from. While they glided, the Garganta open up. Out of it came Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta, with Whis standing inside the entrance. Goku and Gohan waved back to the angel until the void slammed shut.

The Saiyans gasped. "What the hell just happened?" Vegeta asked.

"It was probably Aizen," Goten said after he and Trunks landed in front of them. "The same thing happened to us when we left the Soul Society."

"Long time, no see!" Gohan said. He and Goku grinned from ear to ear. "How've you been, bro?"

"I've been good. I got a lot of training in while I was away, so hopefully it all pays off."

"Well, you definitely worked hard," Goku said. "You've bulked up a lot since you left!"

Goten giggled and threw his hand behind his head. "Gee, you think so?" He turned his attention to his brother's outfit. "Only you could get away with stealing Piccolo's clothes. What about the hat and cape?"

"I have too much hair for that hat," Gohan chuckled. "And I would only end up throwing the cape away-"

Vegeta groaned. "This isn't a family reunion! We came here to take care of business."

Everyone grew serious and silent. As a wind blew sand around them, they turned toward their destination: Las Noches. They could trade stories later. For the time being, their family, friends, and all life in both universes depended on them.

They understood the risks that awaited inside the castle. A battle against nine powerful opponents and their fearsome leader would prove to be a laborious task, especially when Aizen had three of them under his hypnosis. They needed to rely on the seven Senzu beans they brought, but without Dragon Balls, death would be a finality. Still, they all proceeded with no doubts in their minds.

Before they took off, however, Gohan stopped them. "I should give you guys the Senzu beans before we go."

He pulled a small brown sack from his sash and gave everyone a bean, but gave Goku and Vegeta a second one to hold on to. Once they secured their beans, something moved around Trunks' palm. He opened up his hand, and out flew the tiny bug-like cameras.

"What in the world are those things?!" Goku asked.

"Those are the cameras that everyone in the Soul Society is gonna watch us from," Trunks said as they flew out of their sight. "Guess we have to worry about them getting in our way."

The group regained their focus and departed for the castle. Though the journey was farther than they anticipated, they arrived at Las Noches within a few minutes. Everyone, save for Vegeta, gazed in awe at the massive size of Aizen's fortress. Trunks noted the castle didn't show any structural damage and concluded that it must've been repaired since Ichigo fought there. They searched for an entrance, but the Vegeta couldn't wait any longer to find his opponents.

"Stand aside!" he shouted with an outstretched hand. "I'm blasting this wall down."

"Hang on, Vegeta," Gohan said. "The main entrance should be somewhere around here."

Vegeta growled, and an energy ball formed in his palm. "What does it even matter? Whether we go through this wall or walk through the front door, he already knows that we're-"

The wall in front of them exploded. They shielded their faces from the sand and Sekkiseki debris.

"What was that?!" Goten asked.

"I think it's the welcoming committee," Trunks said.

The group stayed on guard, but once the dust settled, Vegeta grinned. "At least I won't have to hunt you down now."

Grimmjow bore a toothy grin at Vegeta. "I thought I'd come and find you before you got lost."

"Hmph. Just tell them where they can find the rest of the Espada so they can get out of our way."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Aizen cut you guys some slack. He sent Aaroniero, Zommari, and Szayelaporro to Karakura Town. It was a stupid move if you ask me, but hey, that's fewer people for me to cut down before I take his head."

The Z-Fighters all raised an eyebrow. "You're gonna do what?" Trunks asked.

"I'm gonna teach that bastard what true Saiyan power is all about."

"Saiyan?! You-you're a Saiyan? Dad, why didn't you say anything?"

"Because it's of little importance," Vegeta said. "The only thing that matters now is how quickly I can defeat him."

Before Grimmjow retorted, a presence flowed from the roof of Las Noches. The unfamiliar, yet ominous nature of the signal made Trunks wince.

"Ulquiorra," Grimmjow muttered.

An air of gravitas surrounded Goku. He lifted his two fingers to his forehead. "That one's for me. Good luck, guys."

Goku disappeared from their sight, leaving the Gohan, Goten, and Trunks to figure out their next course of action. However, they soon sensed another energy signal from the opposite side of the castle.

Gohan's aura poured from his body. "That one is Espada Three. I'll see you guys later." After his brother and Trunks wished him luck, Gohan departed to meet his enemy.

"You two, go through the castle," Grimmjow said. "You should find Nnoitra and Barragan once you reach the inside."

Goten nodded and turned to leave, but Trunks didn't follow. "Hold on! If you're both on the same side, then can't you guys wait until after we fight Aizen to settle this?"

"Absolutely not!" Vegeta shouted. "We've waited long enough, and we won't delay our fight any longer. Now get going!"

Trunks balled his fists, but yielded. There was no talking two stubborn Saiyans out of what they set their minds to. He faced away and flew into Las Noches with Goten.

With no more distractions to hinder them, Grimmjow and Vegeta approached each other.

Vegeta smirked. "I hope you're not as pitiful as you were before."

"Trust me," Grimmjow said. "You haven't seen a quarter of the power I have now."

"Is that because of all your hard work, or did Aizen hand that to you, too?"

"All of this coming from a man who sold his soul to a wizard for power, just to be even with Kakarot."

"I may have sold my soul once before, but at least I had enough pride to not pledge my loyalty again." The two came within a breath of each other. Their expressions of cockiness switched into glares. "What made you decide to give up your position as chief underling?"

"I've always hated it, but now that I have the power to change that, I'll make sure no one stands in my way again."

Vegeta didn't respond. They vanished and reappeared in mid-air with their forearms clashed against one another. Vegeta pulled his arm away and threw a punch to Grimmjow's jaw. Grimmjow slipped past and landed a roundhouse kick to Vegeta's ribs. Vegeta doubled over but wrapped his arm around the leg. He spun and threw his enemy towards the ground. Grimmjow slid onto the sand and fired an energy blast at Vegeta. With his hands crossed, Vegeta blocked the energy wave.

Out of the illuminated night sky, Vegeta dashed and slammed Grimmjow over the head with a double hammer fist. While Grimmjow's head leaned forward, Vegeta front kicked him in the jaw and caused him to soar backward. After he regained his bearings, Grimmjow dug his heels in the sand and caught a fist from Vegeta. He returned a punch of his own, but Vegeta shot his hand out and stopped it. With widened stances and interlocked fingers, the two Saiyans stared each other down.

"I guess you got a little stronger after all." Vegeta grunted and tried to push him back.

"I've already told you, you haven't seen anything yet."

Vegeta smirked, then pulled Grimmjow in and landed a push kick to his abdomen. The Espada slid back, and the two men paused their brawl.

Vegeta clenched his fists. "Enough warming up. I don't have time to play games with you."

"Then, by all means, don't hold back. Just know that it won't be enough to save you."

Grains of sand rose around Vegeta. The presence of god ki condensed the air. With a loud and fierce shout, Vegeta transformed into Super Saiyan Blue. "Show me this power that you can't seem to shut up about."

Grimmjow chuckled, then unsheathed his sword and placed his fingertips on the blade.

"Grind!" He scratched his nails onto his steel. "Pantera! "

Once his hand ripped his hand across his sword, the surrounding sand erupted. The dust settled to reveal his second Resurrección.

Vegeta folded his arms and scoffed. "You seriously thought you would stand a chance against me with this level of strength? Did beating on a child inflate your ego that much? I'll make this short for the both of-"

A howl of laughter interrupted Vegeta. "Prince, who said I was done?"

Vegeta uncrossed his arms and grinned. "Well, excuse me. Go right ahead."

Grimmjow clasped his hands together. His hair flowed upward, and his eyes transitioned from blue to green.

Vegeta looked on with narrowed eyes. What the hell? What's he up to-

"Haaaa!" Grimmjow's long hair turned golden. A bright aura burst around him to complement.

The sudden leap of power invoked a gasp out of Vegeta. He stacked Super Saiyan on top of his other transformation. How could I not have expected this?

Grimmjow bore his fangs. "Well, shall we continue?"

"Damn," Vegeta muttered. "This is going to take longer than I thought."

Though he didn't expect this fresh development, Vegeta smirked, and the two Saiyans resumed their showdown.

"A Super Saiyan?!" Ichigo shouted. "How? When the hell was Grimmjow a Saiyan?"

"That's a pretty large oversight, Kurosaki," Soi Fon said.

"I guess that explains the Galick Gun, but how the hell was I supposed to know? He never showed me that. Damn, and we can't even hear anything." Ichigo turned to Kisuke, who was busy fiddling with knobs and switches on his control panel. "Kisuke! What's up with the volume?"

"It's out of my control," Urahara said. "Aizen's jamming the audio signal from the other side."

Ichigo turned back to the fight between Grimmjow and Vegeta. "Shit, what if they're saying something important and we're missing it?"

"Ichigo, look!" Orihime said. "Trunks and Goten made it to the inside!"

His eyes glued themselves to the same TV. "Okay, can you let me know when Goten starts?"

"Hm? You don't wanna watch Trunks?"

"I don't have to. He won't let any Espada get the best of him after what happened before."

While Ichigo continued to look at Vegeta's fight, the group gathered close to observe the other Saiyans. However, a member of the Stealth Force knelt behind Soi Fon.

"Captain," the woman said. "I have an urgent message from the Head Captain."

Soi Fon spun toward her. "Speak."

"Espadas Seven, Eight, and Nine, as well as an army of Arrancar, have arrived in Karakura Town."

Several pairs of eyes widened at the news. "Do they need reinforcements?" Toshiro asked.

"As of right now, no. The Head Captain demanded that this group stay on task."

"Is there anything else?" Soi Fon asked.

"No, Captain."

"Dismissed." The woman disappeared, and the Soul Reapers turned back around to watch the live feeds in Hueco Mundo.

"On the bright side, they'll have a shorter path to Aizen now," Ichigo said.

No one escaped a sense of uneasiness. Did Aizen believe that the six Espada in Hueco Mundo could defeat the Saiyans, or was he confident in his own abilities to take on all five of them single-handedly? Did he have another contingency plan in his back pocket, something akin to when he sealed the flames of Ryujin Jakka? These questions and concerns trickled to the back of their heads as Goten and Trunks appeared to be on the brink of battle.

"My god," Goten said. Mounds of sand cascaded across the scenery. "Does this place ever end?"

Trunks tilted his head toward the deep blue sky. "How did he even get an artificial sun in here?"

"Don't know, but it sure is bright. I wish these guys would come out already. I don't wanna have to search all over this place for-"

Two power levels drew their attention: one coming from the ground nearby, and the other to their left in the distance. They summoned their Zanpakuto to their bodies and lowered their gazes. A hundred meters away, Nnoitra Gilga stood with his eyes fixed on them.

"Ask, and you shall receive," Trunks mumbled. He clutched the hilt of his sword.

"Hopefully, that's Barragan over there. Good luck, Trunks."

Trunks kept his eyes forward. "You too."

Goten soared off towards the source of the other energy signal, and Trunks landed thirty meters from Nnoitra. Face to face once more, they exchanged glares of disdain.

A quiet wind blew in between them. Nnoitra smirked and broke the silence. "Hmph, you're a fool if you think you'll get the upper hand this time around. Today is the day that I finish you for good." Trunks did not respond, but dropped his hand from the handle of Zangetsu and balled up his fist.

"What's wrong?" Nnoitra asked. "Are you afraid? Second-guessing yourself, maybe?" Trunks' silence drew ire out of Nnoitra. "Did you come here to fucking gawk at me like an idiot, or are you ready to be cut into pieces?"

Veins within his neck and head protruded. Quick, shallow breaths failed to stop his boiling blood and swelling energy. Nnoitra's smug expressions returned all the traumatic memories from February 11. Every horrid image flashed through his mind again in quick succession. After he bottled his anger inside the Time Chamber for a year, and after all the agony bared in that dimension, Trunks unleashed his wrath.

His hair spiked and fired into a light blonde. His body coated itself in the thick, blue aura of god Ki. Sand scattered away from him; electricity discharged from his body and danced around the battlefield.

Nnoitra looked on in disbelief. How is this possible? There's no way he's this strong.

Trunks' irises and pupils vanished. A cry of rage released his maximum power.

The surrounding area exploded, and Nnoitra shielded his face from the rush of sand and smoke that flew in his direction. Nnoitra uncovered his face, but the full force of Trunks' energy caused his mouth to fall open. A golden aura shot through the smoke and dispersed it. With his eyes returned to normal and his bloodlust on full display, Trunks approached his target. Nnoitra growled before he drew his Zanpakuto to defend himself, but his weapon trembled in his hands.

He unsheathed the sword from his back. "Let me explain something to you in case it's not clear already. I didn't come here to gawk at you, and I certainly didn't come to let you cut me down. I came here to end your miserable life, but more importantly…"

Faster than his enemy processed, Trunks cut the distance between them. A jolt from Nnoitra elicited a smirk out of Trunks.

"You damn pest!" Nnoitra thrust his Zanpakuto downward.

Trunks disappeared before the crescent blade touched the sand. In mid-air, he appeared behind Nnoitra with his back turned and sword over his shoulder. With a 180-degree spin and both hands latched onto the hilt, Trunks carved his blade into Nnoitra's back. A large, diagonal slash spanned from his shoulder to his opposite hip. Blood splattered out of the wound, and he cried out in anguish.

"More importantly, I came here to make you suffer."
