This chapter is in the Thanksgiving chapter for this wonderful story of the counterparts who wish to learn to be human in the collection of shorts. This is another one of those American holidays, but you can't have it complete without this holiday. Lily is going to show them the addition of the American holiday of Thanksgiving even Odette doesn't know how this holiday works. Lily is gonna make a traditional Thanksgiving feast a mixture of things from Alencia and a mixture of things from the human world it's gonna be an amazing feast and an amazing story. The family will be in this story and a family dinner mostly and shows how the other families will celebrate this holiday along the different routes of the kingdom.

Just imagine that it was yesterday.

OK, let's go

Today was a big day another great holiday to celebrate with my new friends from Valencia and my new family from Valencia. They were my friends and family. Now I was thankful for them especially for my new family and family to be soon.

We have a baby shower soon too. I was looking forward to that as well. I can't wait. Luckily, I don't have to deal with an evil waffle baby in my belly and I can deal with this more easily.

We would've had the shit maybe shower earlier, but we got caught up and doing things for Thanksgiving and getting things decorated the banquet hall was being used this time not the ballroom and I told a lot of the other Armenians that they will celebrate as individual households unless they join us There's only a few that will be joining us in the main palace inside an ion with us.

Helena and Julius, the Eldons because they're part of Ash's family and Luther's family and my family Riley because she already lives there on ion already we told her she can get her own home if she'd like now she doesn't have to live inside ion now, her and Elise, but they like living there for the time being Ezra has gotten his own home now, but he likes to come and visit us so he'll be coming to eat with us Porsche. We'll have a big celebration inside her own home that she built which is similar to Blood Moon Haven.

Also turned on the build to make their crops all year so that they could make their food or we could go to the grocery store and buy a lot of it, which was fine too we didn't have new foods and old foods. We will have Valencia and food and normal human food.

Luther asked how are you? How are you feeling today? Fine I said less sick than I was last time so I can eat more he laughs of course is that all about this holiday no it's to be what you're thankful for it's Thanksgiving. I said it's an American holiday mostly celebrated in America I said, and since I came from America before I came back here to the dream realm then we celebrate American holidays. We just didn't celebrate the Fourth of July because well, even though I celebrated it when I lived in the awakening world. I don't. We never celebrated it here that makes sense he says.

Also, we never celebrated the actual Thanksgiving here either, but since I lived there for many years, I'd celebrate Thanksgiving I said Mother and I always celebrated it together.

Last year we weren't able to celebrate Thanksgiving because we had to deal with Rothbart so we can do this now even though there's the fright of the bogeyman, he will not bother us right now. He's weekend and quiets down for the time being.

I also went with your mother to find the perfect bird. He said yes, birds eat turkey turkey I said, and we had to buy it at the store. I bought a turkey and a ham I said.

I know we had ham for Christmas last year this year. We're having ham again. I said laughing too and we have a better Christmas this year too. Yes, we will. He says a better Christmas.

I smiled who's gonna who's gonna cook the bird maybe your mom should cook the bird. I said she's good at cooking those Griffin eggs sandwiches and I think she can use the same spices, the rosemary, and salt to make the bird taste good maybe even dip it in some of the sauce from the griffin eggs sounds good to me.

I will have regular deviled eggs and griffin, deviled eggs. I'll show you how to make them. It won't be hard and you can make both all right. He says I will make the deviled eggs and the griffin deviled eggs. You have to boil them, which is different than actually making them the way you normally would I said I showed him and asked how to cook the dinner and other fixings and we had a regular griffin egg sandwich, which is along with the meal and muffin meat obviously but especially fixed and a special way for Thanksgiving. I showed Ezra how that works.

I told him that maybe to make it more tasteful similar to how we would eat food here use brown sugar and butter and brown sugar and a glaze that would taste like that. I did the piece of the meat in the glaze mixture and haven't tasted it Yum he said that tastes good. I'm gonna do that more often. He says that's even better than the normal herbs and spices I use you're a great cook. I am not a good cook. I said I'm not cooking anything. My mom was a good cook, but she did a lot of the Thanksgiving fixings when we lived in the awakening world I said.

I pulled out the corn which was more creamed corn than anything and a casserole the green bean casserole that I had not ever tried to cook. Odette asked me no I said to her, but you can cook some of these things too and help out of course we're eating in the banquet hall today. Yes, not the ballroom.

So we don't need to decorate the ballroom at the banquet hall in the kitchen I said, pulling out the decorations.

And for the pumpkin-scented candles and other pumpkin decorations and gourds that we needed lanterns for this one, I said just regular pumpkins as did some of the helping too with the cooking he made pumpkin soup, especially laughing pumpkin soup, and a delicious laughing pumpkin pie, and we had regular pumpkin pie and apple pies I know how to make a good apple pie. Ezra said I've done a lot of apple dishes before good we need that as much as we can.

Daldons were also good cooks besides Helena they helped out too Mrs. Eldon helped with the cooking with Miss Helena. We even made some dragonberry pies, which are good. I never had those before, but they were interesting and I made some there were some delicious foods everywhere the smell was everywhere throughout the castle. I even showed the other Eran's how to make a delicious dinner spread for each of their homes and households.

Porsche hosts a lot of people so she learned to cook some of these dishes too. She was gonna have her own Thanksgiving.

Once the spread was done we put it out around the banquet table and everything was decorated and ready to go. I said we need to say what we're thankful for I said as they went around and said everything they were thankful for today then I said Grace and then I said again it was delicious. Everything was so good.

Last year we wouldn't been able to put this together because of Rothbart this year we were able to do it and it was beautiful and delicious. Every food item was good.

This is awesome the wonderful Thanksgiving everyone agreed everyone all over the all over the kingdom was enjoying it. That was good.

Happy and enjoying a delicious dinner the delicious dinners that I help prepare for them.

Then we pulled out some games and played for a while. They have a normal family dinner and a normal family holiday besides Christmas it was nice relaxing and wonderful and it was nice to have a holiday where we can just relax it was good and all the food was good.

Then I told them the story of the not the real, but the first Thanksgiving about the programs in the Indians. They thought it was a very interesting story.

And about the Mayflower and how the Indians help the pilgrims plant their first foods for their first harvest that's where the Thanksgiving feast comes in for I said it was for the first harvest that they had together that the Indians helped them with.

When they first arrived, a lot of them got sick and died but the next year the Indians felt bad for them so they planted have them plant a delicious feast.

That's a great story Luther said thanks. I said to my love as I squeezed his hand next to me, my husband, my king I'm so glad you're teaching us all these different things my love I smiled. Thank you I said.

After the main course, we had dessert and after dessert, that's when I told him the story and we played games then I told them now it's time for another staple football. I said I've pulled it out. I'm not big on sports either myself, but this is a tradition I can't. We can't watch the game so we're gonna play it. I thought them how they didn't do so well, but that was OK .

After that, the girls and I cleaned up everything and the boys just chilled for a bit while we finished up cleaning up after that we had lots of leftovers that we stored away in the fridge. Now it's time for our Christmas shopping I said.

This is our second Christmas together. It is oh Odette, said this is our second Christmas together so we need to come up with some good gifts this year when is the baby due dear I don't know what I said.

Well, we need to know. I'm not sure I said but I know I wanna have gifts for the baby shower soon. We'll have the baby shower soon, dear oh Dad said now let us begin plans for that and plans for well for Christmas.

That's right this is our second Christmas together. She says now we will get that together and straightened up too. Since this is a big welcoming home thing, we don't need to have a big ball this year because we're not having an important event for Christmas for any kind of coronations or anything this year so we don't need to do that this year, which was a relief. We didn't have to plan for that, but we will have a big celebration for Christmas for everyone and will have a small celebration for Christmas for all the other people Also have a tree lighting ceremony. She said it would be a lot different. I smiled as a tree ceremony later means we'll get a giant tree and put it in the center of the kingdom, which will be fun too.

Pronounce that later and a gift-giving ceremony, which will be great sounds good all right we have plans. Odette says now let us get things straightened up and get cleaned up and get some other things done we can just rest now. Sounds good another traditional thing we do sometimes is nap I said, teasing everyone.

Everyone went home. They had homes and those who stayed on ion stayed on ion Luther and I disappeared. We went home, not home, but went to our bedroom alone to make love and to sleep together.

We may love all afternoon and then we took a nap. The warmth of it felt great together curled up in a ball together he kissed me slowly and touched me slowly, telling me that he loves me more than anything, and then we fell asleep, curled up in each other's arms.
