Ironically, Touma had been the one to save her, though Kanzaki always had trouble thanking him for that. She didn't expect an opportunity to do that to come out of the blue, nor did he expected a chance to finally air our his feelings for her. Touma felt like she deserved better than him, but it was time for Kanzaki to correct that misconception. She was ready to be his salvation.
