Anyway, the morning eventually arrived. Kitty was due back at the tv station and Phoebe and I, as well as the rest of our group had not been given any new orders yet, bases around the west coast were on alert and security was ramping up in anticipation for the invasion. At this point, aside from a few pockets of resistance the space police were pretty much driven out of Confria.

I wasn't sure how to wake her this morning, I still wanted to get a shower in even. Anyway, we were running short on time, so I got out of bed and went to take a shower wondering if she would be awake when I came back. "Were we supposed to be first?" She asked.

"There you two are, everyone else is already having breakfast." Phoebe said as she pointed her camera at us.

"Well don't look at me she wanted to sleep in." I said.

"And she didn't want to play around until I dried off a bit from the shower." I deliberately thought, hoping Pheebles was listening and would get the message.

"Hopefully this day is just going to start a bit off and this won't continue?" Phoebe asked.

"Hey all three of the newlyweds are here now." Henry teased.

"You already told them?" I asked Phoebe.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Where'd the pancakes come from?" I asked as there was quite a large stack of them on the table and everyone else was already helping themselves.

"The restaurant down the street. I figured we could have a little party." Zari replied.

"Ok, cool." I replied.

"So when is the baby coming?" Henry asked.

"Henry!" Claire scolded him while laughing awkwardly.

"They better not atleast until all this is over, when are you and Claire gonna have babies?" Phoebe asked as she stopped recording.

"Not for a while atleast." Claire said.

"Yeah, what are we doing after this? When we own this whole world or whatever." Henry asked.

"Once we own this world the three of us are going to get a mansion to stay in while teams of other people explore the portals for us so we only have to see the interesting ones. I don't know what you guys wanna do but maybe you could be our neighbors or something." Phoebe said.

"Hey um, how do I know if I'm pregnant?" Kitty asked awkwardly.

"You'll start feeling sick, since you're a digimon, you're not drinking right now, and have never been sick before it should be pretty obvious and then we can take a test to make sure you're not just normal human sick ok? Atleast I think." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"But don't worry about that right now." I said.

"But what if I start feeling sick?" She asked.

"Look we'll just keep from doing it in your human form until we're seriously ready to try ok?" I asked, whispering into her ear.

"Ok." She replied.

"And how are we going to afford mansions?" Henry asked.

"She hasn't worked that part out yet." I said.

"Well we're going to save this world from an evil multidimensional regime, I think we'll find the funds." Phoebe said.

"You will?" Zari asked.

"As much as I hate to say this Zari, if they don't agree, it's going to be a no from me too." I said.

"You want us to be your maids? That's not what we signed up for at all!" Lussy said.

"But you'd get to live in our mansion with us, and other things, while we wait for our exploration teams to find more interesting universes so we never have to spend days or even weeks traveling through boring ones. " Phoebe said.

"Can I be your mechanic instead?" Kiera asked.

"Yeah, sure." Phoebe said.

"Do I have to be a maid or can I just live with you?" Lussy asked.

"I don't know." Phoebe replied.

"No no no!" Kitty refused.

"How many girls do you need?" Henry asked as he looked at me.

"Don't look at me it's her idea, I'd be perfectly content with these two and in heaven with these three. Hell I used to be ok with just Pheebles but then, stuff happened with that portal that you suggested we blow up, and now I can't deny my feelings for both of them and we're all trying to make this work." I said.

"So you admit you want me but won't have me without Kitty's permission?" Zari asked.

"Yeah pretty much. It hurts me more to hurt Kitty like that than it does to hurt us both. That's just the truth, but hey we're not getting any older so you have forever to get on her good side." I replied.

"Not going to happen." Kitty said teasingly

"Just remember you had to get on Pheeble's." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe teasingly agreed.

"Yeah well, Zari doesn't love you as much as I do and the newbies definitely don't." Kitty said.

"Oh really how can you be so sure?" Zari asked as she glared at Phoebe.

"Don't look at me, I can't read her." Phoebe said.

"Let's find something else to talk about." I said, not completely comfortable with my beloved's future plans. Especially since she was kind of starting to piss Kitty off.

"Like what?" Henry asked.

"Well so yesterday did you fight the hero officers or surrender right away? How did that all go?" I asked.

"We fought them in the mechanorimon but it didn't go well." Selly said.

"Yeah, you saw, we lost 4 of them and they captured everyone but me." Lussy said.

"So you were all in the mechanorimon?" I asked.

"Mhm." Lussy confirmed.

"Between those superpowered freaks and all the machineguns, the situation was just too hot and it was too much, so we had to surrender. We couldn't fight the heros on the ground and we couldn't deal with the machine guns in the air. And there was that witch." Henry said.

"You mean Emika?" Phoebe asked.

"Hi." Emika waved nervously.

"I can't believe you captured her!" Henry said.

"I'm so sorry! I never knew they were so evil they never gave me a chance to know, she said they wiped my memory so many times." Emika said.

"Well she's cute and besides we turned her." Phoebe didn't even try to hide it.

"You think I'm cute?" Emika asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied.

"Sorry mam, my wife is kind of a perverted weirdo." I said.

"No I'm not!" Phoebe replied.

"No I'm sorry, seeing as you married her." Emika said.

"Yeah well, despite her nonsense she hasn't made me regret it yet." I said.

"Awwwe, Cj, wait, what do you mean yet?" Phoebe asked.

"Emika you want to come with us? We need some people with powers." Lussy asked her.

"What? After she helped capture us?" Henry asked.

"Actually she'll be staying in our group for a bit, but you can take Tabby or the flower girls." Phoebe said.

"Just because you wanna screw her." Lussy said.

"What?" Emika asked.

"No, we just want to see all her abilities first." Phoebe said, slightly lying.

"But fine we'd also be glad to have Tabby helping us." Lussy said.

"Ok then, Tabby you're going with the newbies for a while, I guess." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Tabby agreed.

"If you're ok with that." Phoebe said.

"I'll go wherever you think you need me." Tabby said.

"Atleast if we're splitting up again, I don't know, has anyone heard from Raylena yet?" Phoebe asked.

Everybody that had been given a phone said no.

"Ok, well then we might be stuck here all day, who knows?" Phoebe asked.

"You can come to the tv station." Kitty said.

"We will if we don't get called sister I promise." Phoebe said, sweetly.

"Yay." Kitty cheered.

My phone went off a few seconds later.

"Dammit." Kitty said, disappointed.

"Hello?" Phoebe answered as she still had my phone.

"Sorry I've been busy all morning so this call is late, I'm sending you all back out west today, there's not really any targets left that need your attention, so, just sit back and prepare for the Listanian invasion." Raylena said.

"What about Kitty and Zari?" Phoebe asked.

"They're going too this time, they'll be working at another TV station over there that we've already prepared, until then we'll be rerunning some recordings." Raylena said "Vans will be there for you all shortly.

"But the mechanorimon?" Phoebe asked.

"The train can move them as cars too. It has already been arranged." Raylena said.

"Ok." I'll tell everybody. Bye." Phoebe said, all eyes were on her as she put the phone down.

"We're all going west now and waiting for the invasion." Phoebe said.

"Me too?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, you and Zari are going to start working at a different station over there from now on." Phoebe said.

"Ok, that means we get to spend the day together." Kitty replied.

"Most of which will be on a train." Phoebe said.

"So I can sleep more!" Kitty cheered.

"Yeah, but then we won't get to interact with you if you're asleep." I said.

"We'll do both." She insisted.

"Are we going to a base out west or what?" Henry asked.

"I would assume." Phoebe replied.

"What about the mechanorimon?" Lussy asked.

"They'll be going on the train too, as cars." Phoebe said.

"Any hero officers out west Mari?" Phoebe asked.

"None that I know about." Mari said.

"Me either, if they bring in anymore it will probably be when Listania invades." Emika said.

"Same train?" Lilly asked.

"I don't know, maybe." Phoebe replied.

"Do you know of anymore hero officers?" Phoebe asked Mari.

"Um, you want me to write it all down? " Mari asked.

"That'd be great." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, we could tell everyone about what they might be up against at the station." Zari said.

An hour or so later we were all on the train heading back west, another bullet train, the same type atleast if not the same train we rode out on the first time. It was a pretty boring ride as we had already taken it before, but it was the first time for Kitty and a lot of the others so it wasn't as boring to them. IceLeomon was reunited with his wives, so they were all in a jovial mood.

We could have taken a plane this time, but then we wouldn't arrive at the same time as the mechanorimon and it would have been a bit more complicated to arrange their transport as they would need a separate plane that could carry cars. Whereas the train had some car carrying wagons they could just drive onto for a nominal fee that one of Raylena's guys already paid for.

Eventually after getting off the train, onto another train on a different line that went a little bit further west that was pretty much empty except for us as not many people were heading that way due to the expected Listanian invasion.

Once that train arrived at its destination, the mechanorimon were offloaded and we got into some more vans as they followed in their vehicle forms. Surprisingly they seemed to have gained a concept of basic traffic laws while we were separated.

After a somewhat lengthy ride out of town, we were taken to Lander's Field. It was a tiny unincorporated community outside of the major metropolitan areas which were now almost inaccessible as a lot of people were calmly moving further inland to escape the pending invasion, making traffic extremely dense. The resistance had a similar idea, sending us to a smaller, more remote base assuming the coastal cities would be hit hard by both air, naval, and eventually ground forces. The base was basically the entire town, with small, old, but decently conditioned buildings, and no major industries. It was basically just a few small houses clustered together, a garage, a bar, a post office, and a church of some sort. There wasn't even enough houses for everyone to have their own. Though our group split up in its usual manner anyway. The civilian population, which was less than 50, was safely evacuated elsewhere.

After everyone split off, the only new pairing was Tabby being stuck with Mari and Emika, basically the new newbies. While the newbies shared a house amongst themselves.

Anyway, once the three of us settled in we went out to explore, which didn't take long, then one of Raylena's guys approached us saying they needed to take Kitty and Zari to the TV station. Phoebe and I decided to go along as well as there was nothing better to do here.

The TV station was further west, towards the coast, on the hilly outskirts of a low lying coastal metropolis unimaginatively named Oceanside. As such it was formerly the studio of the Oceanside News Network, an affiliate of creekbug, that was once it's own network prior to the space police taking over, keeping it's name under there control just for a sense of familiarity. Though it had been defunct since we took over the main station back in Enlandia and subsequently blocked all its transmissions from making it to public airwaves. Whether this oversight was implemented by the space police or Confria's own government prior to their arrival was beyond me.

Anyway, our driver took the backroads as it was nearly impossible to get on the main ones. It was a bit less prestigious than the main station, but otherwise identical in function, and would transmit its signal through the main station and across the entire nation all the same. A new team of cameramen and broadcast technicians were also present. The ones that were working with Kitty and Zari at the main station stayed there to handle a separate news channel which still ran stories on occasion if they could be used to help the war effort, the train crash we were in being a sort of ongoing story at the moment, with several agents going around interviewing survivors and filming the salvage efforts while properly vilifying the space police that sabotaged the rail line. Of course, the part where they did that to try to capture us was left out. Kitty was still the only member of our group who was known to the public, in her Lilithmon form anyway. Zari could occasionally be heard in the background, and handled most of the writing and directing and scheduling alongside one of Raylena's guys, but never appeared alongside her on screen.

"Ok so are we going to go live today?" Zari asked.

"We can, but we need a few minutes to get things going." One of Raylena's guys who was working as a technician said.

"I gotta change form then." Kitty said.

"Right, go on Kitty." Zari replied.

"You guys wanna be on tv with me?" Kitty sweetly asked us after changing to her Lilithmon form.

"Oh honey I wish we could, but we really shouldn't put our faces out there." I said.

"Yeah, and we don't need all that attention." Phoebe agreed.

"I'm pretty sure the Utopians have your faces already, but yeah, it's not a good idea Kitty, same reason I won't get in front of the camera." Zari explained.

"Ok, but you'll stay and watch me on tv right?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah for a little while I guess." I said.

"And don't let anybody know you're married either, they might lose interest." Zari sad.

"That won't save them from her powers." I pointed out.

"She doesn't use them all the time when we're running training programs. Just on the first day when we needed to incite all those riots. And on the first few training programs we did just to get them hooked on the later ones. Yesterday when we were interviewing this guy about different weapons she wasn't using them at all. " Zari said.

"I didn't realize. Sorry baby I really haven't been watching tv much." I replied.

"It's ok, I know everyone is busy, besides now you can watch in person." Kitty sweetly replied.

"Yeah I guess we can can't we?" I said.

"So you're not going to pull some kind of prank and make us act like a bidoof or something?" Phoebe said, knowing she wasn't entirely immune to her hypnotic powers, despite being psychic herself.

"No, but that sounds fun to try back at the hotel." Kitty mischievously replied.

"It does." I mischeviously agreed as we both glared at her.

"Maybe I shouldn't have said that." Phoebe said with a nervous grin.

"Well if you need something to do, you two can help me prepare today's program I guess." Zari said.

"Ok."

"Are they sending somebody else over today?" Kitty asked.

"I haven't heard anything yet, I was thinking in the meantime it could be helpful to expose the existence of the hero officers." Zari suggested.

"Raylena hasn't given us any instructions other than to get this place up and running." One of the technicians said.

"So um, whatever happened to that one ghost girl you went up against?" Phoebe asked.

"Jail." Kitty replied.

"Was she cute too?" Phoebe asked as she had never seen her personally.

"Whyyyyy?" Kitty asked, even she pretty much already knew the answer.

"Maybe we could turn her, like Emika." Phoebe suggested.

"Don't we have enough women already?" Kitty asked, as tired of her antics as I was at that point. I stayed silent as she was telling her off enough for my liking.

"We're going to need all the people we can get with powers once we set up our multiverse exploring empire. Now that we know we can turn them we should probably recruit all the captured heros." Phoebe said.

"Yeah that sword guy was a good fighter too." I said.

"I know." Phoebe replied.

"That sword guy?" Zari asked.

"Ask Mari or Emika, they know more about them than we do." I said.

"Allright why don't we bring Mari in? We could interview her about the other hero officers she knows about." Zari said.

"We can't, the enemy will know she's on our side, about the same with Emika." I said.

"Emika doesn't know any other heros aside from the ones she was deployed with, they erased them from her mind. I checked while we were turning her." Phoebe said.

" Ok well, you know they'll probably find out Mari is helping us eventually, when the invasion starts and they're out there fighting them." Zari pointed out.

"And Mari has her disguise too." Phoebe added.

"Yeah and if we mask her voice there's no chance they'll recognize her, so let's do it." Zari said.

"Driver go back to the base and bring Mari here." Zari ordered.

"We could just call someone already at the base to bring her here." The guy whose name we didn't know that drove us here and entered the building with us replied.

"Right, then do that." Zari ordered.

"Right." The driver said before pulling out his phone and leaving the room.

"So what are we going to do until she gets here?" I asked.

"I don't know, what re-run are they running right now?" Zari asked.

"We'll have the live feed up in a moment." One of the technicians said as they set up some sort of machine.

"Do I need to call the main station to shut the reruns off or?" Zari asked.

"They should see our signal coming in at the capital station once we start broadcasting and shut them off on their own mam." The technician replied.

"Allright, excellent." Zari replied.

"You know, I think I might record her doing her thing. It could be an interesting addition to our documentation." Phoebe said as she got her camera out.

"Document the time Kitty was a tv star?" I asked.

"Exactly." Phoebe agreed.

"Allright let's do this." Phoebe said as she started her camera up.

"Hello everybody, right now we're at the Oceanside news studio where Kitty is going to go on live TV to help citizens train to fight off the incoming Listanian invasion. This isn't her first time, she's been on tv for the last few days actually, this is just the first time Cj and I have actually had time to come see her at the studio, anyway here's our beautiful tv star now! Got anything to say Kitty Kat?" Phoebe said.

"Hi, we're not on the air yet." Kitty said, a bit confused about what exactly she was supposed to say.

"Yeah, that's ok, that just means we can ask you questions." Phoebe said.

"What kind of questions?" Kitty asked.

"I dunno, you like being on tv?" Phoebe asked.

"Eh, it can be kind of fun sometimes." Kitty replied.

"I bet there's so many handsome guys out there watching you." Phoebe teased.

"Whatchu getting at Pheebles?" I asked.

"Nothing, just teasing." She replied.

"Yeah, well, sucks to be them." Kitty replied.

"Yeah, because you're all ours." Phoebe teased.

"Yeah." Kitty said shyly.

"Why don't you show us your bracelet? " Phoebe asked.

"Ok." Kitty said as she held her arm up to the camera.

"See now, we know a ring is more of the normal thing, I mean Cj and I have one, but we couldn't be sure it would fit all her forms so we had to get something a bit more lose fitting and then something really weird happened and she kind of absorbed it into her form so it stays on even when she changes." Phoebe said.

"Which means we technically could have gotten her a ring anyway kind of." I said.

"Yeah, kind of." Phoebe replied.

"Anyway, now she's gone from being our virara to Cj's second wife and my beloved little sister wife." Phoebe said happily.

"But I'm taller than you?" Kitty asked, confused.

"Well still, you'll always be my little sister now and nothing will ever change that." Phoebe said teasingly.

"You should come on tv with me then." Kitty said.

"No honey that's still not a good idea, not right now, maybe after this war is over though, if you still go on tv by then." Phoebe said.

"Now that's a question." I said.

"What Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"After this war is over and we find a house to stay at, are you still going to be on tv Kitty Kat?" I asked.

"I don't know." Kitty replied.

"Well at this rate you're famous enough you could probably land some actual acting roles pretty easily baby, even though you aren't green like everyone else on this world is. It can pay really well, the only drawback is all the publicity and people wanting to stalk and spy on you. And you say one wrong thing and it's all over, but you might be able to offset that with your powers." I said.

"Like acting roles for what?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, I'm not familiar with any of the shows they normally have running here, but I'm sure somebody has some ideas. It's just an idea, if you wanna slouch around the house all day that's fine too." I said.

"I want a garden." She replied.

"Whatever makes you happy babe." I said.

"What are you going to grow?" Phoebe asked.

"Flowers, and maybe some peppers, and some spices, and some other vegetables." Kitty replied.

"Any kind you like in particular?" Phoebe asked.

"Peppers, but, you know, whatever I can find." Kitty replied.

"Well we'll just have to wait and see then won't we?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"Then I could use them to cook right?" Phoebe asked.

"Of course sister, if you know how." Kitty replied.

"I think I could figure it out, so are you ready to go on tv today?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I'm not all bloody am I? " Kitty asked.

"No, not at all, kind of a strange thing to ask, why would you be?" Phoebe asked.

"From fighting." Kitty replied.

"We haven't fought anything today we've just been riding around on vans and trains." Phoebe pointed out.

"I know but sometimes we have to fight things and I get all bloody." Kitty said.

"Yeah, but not today, so far." Phoebe said.

"Hopefully just not today." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"What else is there to say?" I asked.

"I dunno." Phoebe replied.

"So what do you think about the space police Kitty Kat?" I asked.

"Most of them are pretty weak, I don't understand why they can't just leave us alone." She replied.

"Well baby it's got a lot to do with them being very power hungry and we're disrupting their whole operation, but it's still the right thing to do." I replied.

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense." Kitty replied.

"Allright, sorry to interrupt your cute little interview, but let's figure out what to do before Mari gets here, we'll probably be up and running before then." Zari said.

"I just got off the phone they'll get her up here as quick as they can." Our driver said as he re-entered the room.

"Yeah, I still have no idea what I'm supposed to say." Kitty said.

"Well let's get the teleprompter set up then, and start working on a script for you." Zari said.

"Ok." Kitty replied as we all gathered around this computer that was hooked up to the teleprompter.

"Right I'll get the program running." The technician responsible for programming the thing said as he sat behind the screen.

Then there was a loud crash downstairs.

" The hell?" I asked.

"They found us already?" Phoebe asked.

"Really?" I asked shortly before gunshots wrang out.

"Space Police! You're all under arrest! Surrender or die." A space policeman yelled from the first floor.

"OK there's like half a dozen that just came out of an apc that crashed downstairs, and another dozen ish outside." Phoebe said after closing her eyes and concentrating for a bit.

"That's not much, are they crazy?" I said.

"They don't know we're here, they're expecting just Raylena's guys." Phoebe replied.

I wasn't sure what their plan was here but a bunch of normal officers that had escaped earlier conflicts with a handful of cars and a single apc saw something going on at the station building and decided to barge in. They drove their apc through the mostly glass wall on the first floor, shattering it, and shot a few of Raylena's guys that were guarding the building, killing them, they weren't even trying to arrest anyone anymore. but by the time they cleared the first floor we had fair warning and were already watching the stairs up to the second. Bubbling the first few that came up the stairs made it nearly impossible for the others to pass. They would be the lucky ones.

"Ok they're using lethal force, so, Kitty Kat, why don't you go down there and deal with them, I'll watch your health and call you back if it gets too low." I said.

"Ok, I'm on it, but dammit, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this today." She said as retrieved and donned her weapon.

"Yeah, well, same." I said before she headed to the stairs.

She went down there and singlehandedly dealt with the rest of them, they weren't even elites, so it wasn't that difficult for her. She couldn't dodge their bullets but it didn't really matter because in her mega form they didn't hurt her that much anyway, it took several to even bring her health down by one percent somewhat depending on where she was hit, obviously she wasn't willing to let me test her to find out more. Once things fell silent aside from the apc's loud diesel engine we headed down to check things out.

We walked down the stars into a big bloody mess, in no direction could one cast their eyes and not see a bloodstain coming from a half melted corpse in what was a pristine lobby several minutes ago. Broken glass and other miscellaneous pieces of the wall were also strewn everywhere as well.

"Ok this guy's dead, any stragglers?" I asked as we could still save them with the healing cream as long as they were atleast trying to breathe.

"Hey this guy's still breathing!" One of the technicians that was previously setting up the machines upstairs called out.

"Um, healing cream, let's go." I said as I fiddled with my digivice to get a jar of it which I then threw to the tech.

Thankfully we all knew how valuable this stuff was and hoarded it while we could get it picking up nearly every piece of white digiroot we could find and making as many jars as we could at the maker machines. The space police had their own non-digital variety made through unknown means that they used in the elite's armor, and of course most pokémon worlds had their potions, but we couldn't carry hundreds of jars of them in the digivice like we could the white digiroot paste. Even if we took a digital jar and put some in it, the digivice would only take the jar and leave the non-digital contents on the floor.

"Rub that on his skin, just anywhere, it should save him." I said.

"Ok." The technician replied.

"I'll check everyone else." Our driver said.

"No need, the rest are already dead." Phoebe said with a sorrowful sigh.

"You sure?" I asked.

"Mhm, no brainwaves." She said, solemnly.

"Fuck." Our driver replied as he sunk to the floor.

"DAMMIT I'M ALL BLOODY!" Kitty complained as she limped back into the building after dealing with more officers that had attempted to surround the building on the outside.

"I would hope so, look at the mess you made." I said, somewhat jokingly.

"Yeah well, you know how I fight." She replied before grabbing her stomach and wincing in pain.

"I know, and I love you. Did you get hit?" I asked.

"A few times, I'll be allright though." She said.

"It says you're at 87 percent and falling a bit because of bleeding." I said as I checked her health on the digivice.

"Yeah, I'm hurting a bit. There was a lot of them, I'm still ok though. " She said as she was noticeably bleeding from atleast 5 bullet wounds even though she was probably hit a lot more than five times. Not all bullets that hit her will penetrate and to this day even after all this time I'm not sure why some do and some don't. It seems pretty random and it obviously wasn't something she was willing to let me or anyone else test to find out more.

"Ok how the hell is she still alive?" Our driver asked as she looked at her in horror.

"She's a digimon." Phoebe said.

"What?" Our driver asked.

"It's complicated. " Phoebe said.

"You're dripping blood all over the floor." Phoebe pointed out to Kitty.

"Yeah well what were you doing? Just hanging out up there with our husband?" Kitty asked.

"I was protecting our husband in case you failed and they made it upstairs." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, fair enough sister." Kitty relented.

"Come on baby lets get you healed." I said, knowing full well she was understating the amount of pain she was in.

"Yeah." She agreed before setting her weapon down and pulling me into a kiss.

"Hey Kitty stop, you're smearing blood all over me." I said as I pushed her away.

"Now I'm all bloody you dummy." I said as I wiped my shirt only to get it all over my hands.

"Ewww." Phoebe said.

"Sorry Ehehe" She said, shyly laughing out of embarrassment.

"I love you but just….. no." I said.

"And all your other shirts are back at the base." Phoebe said as she face palmed.

"Oh fuck it, come here." I said as I pulled my beloved digimon into a hug and kissed her on the cheek.

"Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"Well if my shirt is already ruined who cares?" I asked.

"It's not ruined it just needs washed." Phoebe said.

"Love you husband." Kitty chimed as we continued to hug.

"Yeah, you did a good job baby. Love you." I lovingly replied.

"She made a huge bloody mess of the lobby. It looks like hell, there's half melted corpses everywhere." Our driver said.

"Well do you think you could've taken them all out single handedly and made less of a mess? Cause if you can I'd love to see it." I said, sarcastically as Kitty continued to lovingly cling to me.

"Couldn't she just hypnotized them?" Our driver asked.

"Not when they're shooting at me." Kitty replied.

"Wait, she was married all this time? To him?" The technician that was running the teleprompter earlier just realized as they had never worked with her before.

"You don't know the half of it and that doesn't leave this building along with her slaughtering all those officers." Zari said.

"Ok." The technician replied.

"I'm his wife too." Phoebe chimed.

"Waaaaa? " The bewildered tech stared at us vacantly.

"And I will be, someday." Zari said.

"WA?" The tech was overwhelmed.

"Good luck with that." Kitty teased.

"You're not even our virara yet." Phoebe said.

"Hey Zari, you want a hug too then?" Kitty asked with a mischievous grin.

"You stay the fuck away from me until you get cleaned up." Zari said.

"Pheebles?" Kitty offered with the same grin.

"Noooo, get clean first, goofball." Phoebe said.

"Anyway, I guess we're not going live soon." Zari said.

"Ok We'll get you healed up Kitty Kat then you can change form and back and that should clean you up atleast right?" I asked as I let her go.

"I think so." She said.

"Allright then let me get another jar." I said as I let go of her and fished the digivice out of my pocket again.

"I think this stuff is working." The technician I gave the healing cream to earlier said as he treated his wounded comrade.

"It should, he should be able to get back up in a bit, just give it a few minutes he was really chewed up. Also if he got hit in the stomach he might throw up as well so look out for that." I said just seconds before the injured man sat up and puked a bloody mess all over the floor.

"Eww." Phoebe said as she looked away in disgust.

"Yeah, see, called it." I said.

Something about the way that stuff patches organs back together upsets the stomach every time.

"Is there anyone else that needs it?" The man got the strength back to ask after wiping his mouth.

"I'm very sorry but, you're the only survivor on the first floor." Phoebe said as sincerely as she could.

"GOD DAMMIT MOTHER FUCKER!" The man raged, upset about his fallen comrades.

Then Phoebe went and knocked him out.

"Hey what the heck?" The technician asked.

"He was going to do something stupid, he's out of his mind. I just put him to sleep, he'll wake up in a few hours, but um, he's going to need more help than the cream can give him." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." The tech replied.

"They got Paul, dammit." Another technician, the one that was on the teleprompter said as he apparently stood over Paul's dead body.

"They got everyone that was down here except for him." Phoebe said as she gestured towards the sleeping man.

"Fuck." The technician said.

"Gonna put him to sleep too?" I asked.

"He's not losing it yet. He's upset, but he's drowning it out like we all are." Phoebe replied.

"Are we going to be able to continue?" Zari asked the techs.

"We need a moment. The machines are ok since they never made it up the stairs, but just, damn. I knew they could use lethal force I just never thought." The technician replied.

"Yeah well, shit happens when you take over a whole country." I replied as I retrieved another jar of healing cream from the digivice

"That's alright, it's not our first gunfight, just relax until Mari gets here and try to calm down." Zari said as Phoebe went around to collect whatever cash the defeated space policemen had on them, something she had gotten into the habit of doing. There wasn't that many of them this time, only 20 or so, but they still had a few grand on them, all said and done. Not nearly enough for a mansion, but enough to sort out our own expenses and be somewhat comfortable for a few weeks.

"Anybody in the APC? Is it safe to go ahead and shut it off?" Our driver asked.

"It's safe." She replied.

He climbed inside it and killed the engine.

"Atleast we got a free apc out of this." I said as he climbed back out of it.

"Not really, we gotta get all their crap out of here. All these vehicles on their gps will tip them off and other groups of them might attack." Zari said.

"Yeah, well maybe the techs here can disable the gps systems?" I asked as I muscled open the jar.

"I'm a broadcast tech not a gps tech." One of the techs replied after overhearing.

"Dam." I replied.

"Don't look at me I just drive the vans." Our driver said.

"What if you just disconnected the battery?" Phoebe suggested.

"Could work." I replied.

"We can't be sure though." Zari said.

"Right, the transponder could have its own power supply." I said.

"I'm going to see if I can get ahold of Raylena and get more guys here to take their vehicles away. Or maybe she knows by now how to disable it." Zari said.

"Allright, sounds like a plan." I agreed.

"Right, I'll go make the call, don't get hurt." Zari said.

"That's my line." Phoebe said.

"I'm allowed to care about him too." Zari said.

"Yeah, I guess so." Phoebe relented as Zari headed back upstairs.

"So you have all three of them?" Teleprompter guy asked.

"No he has me and Kitty, and Zari likes him too, but she's not really in yet." Phoebe said.

"You say that like she has a chance." Kitty said.

"Well, as determined as she is, I'm not going to say she doesn't. " Phoebe said.

"Yeah, well I say it." Kitty argued.

"Oh come on, I know you aren't that hard to win over." Phoebe teased.

"No you don't, you can't read me." Kitty pointed out.

"True, but you're pretty easy to predict anyway." Phoebe teased.

"Here Kitty hold still." I said with fresh healing cream on my hands.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kitty asked as I started to rub some cream on her shoulders. As she was in one of her digimon forms, it didn't matter if it touched her skin or not, her clothing worked just as well she immediately stopped bleeding and her health stopped trickling down before slowly going back up.

"Here you go babe let's get you back up to 100." I said.

"Yeah, I'm starting to feel better." She said with a relieved sigh.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Lucky, you get a little massage." Phoebe teased out of jealousy.

"She got hurt and killed a bunch of guys." I said as I continued to apply cream to her as her wounds healed and her clothing repaired itself.

"I know but still. " Phoebe asked.

"You really want me to massage you when I'm all bloody like this?" I asked.

"No actually, but later?" She asked.

"We'll see." I replied as Zari came back.

"Ok Kitty Kat you should be at full health now." I said as I monitored her health on the digivice.

"I don't feel any more pain." She replied.

"Well good, you shouldn't." I said before she turned around and kissed me affectionately.

"mmm, you did good baby, go ahead and change forms and back." I said.

"Ok." She replied before stepping away from me so she could have space to do so.

The technicians were amazed as she briefly reverted to a persiamon and back, causing all the now mostly dry blood she was covered in to fall to the floor creating many weird and incredibly fragile husks of dried blood that quickly blew away and broke up thanks to the wind coming in through the gaping hole in the wall.

"There, all clean." She said.

"Yep, now if only I could do that." I said jokingly.

"Sorry." She apologized.

"It's allright." I said.

"Maybe you could try to wash some of it off in the bathroom sink?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe." I replied.

"I couldn't get Raylena on the line, but I got Tanya, she got, somebody else, and he said disconnecting the batteries will cut power to the transponder, it does not have its own power supply." Zari said as she came back after finishing her phone call.

"Ok, let's just do that then." I said as I began to try to figure out where the batteries were on the thing, our driver and the techs helped as well. It had several compartments and hatches on the outside, a lot of which were just for equipment storage.

After me as well as Zari, the techs and our driver looked it over the batteries turned out to be under the benches, on the inside, in the back. Once that was figured out it was simply a manner of unbolting some cables. While looking for the batteries we came across an onboard toolbox that conveniently contained a suitable crescent wrench to do so. The cars outside the building were a lot more straightforward, just had to pop the hood, and disconnect the batteries like with 95% of cars that exist, after we moved them behind the building so they would be hidden from the road.

After taking some steps to lessen the chances of them barging in on us again, we waited around until another van arrived carrying Mari, along with Emika and the newbies, who got bored and decided to tag along.

"I hope you don't mind if we crash here today, looks like somebody already did." Lussy said.

"As long as you're all quiet while we're live filming." Zari said.

"I was kind of wondering if we could go on tv too?" Lussy asked.

"You know how bad of an idea that is? All of us stick out badly enough here, if you go on tv and the public sees your faces you'll get targeted." Zari asked.

"What about me?" Kiera asked.

"You won't stick out as much but your skin is still way lighter than any of the locals I've seen. It's just a bad idea, atleast with Kitty she can use her other form in public." Zari said.

"Ok if you say so. That kind of sucks though I was kind of hoping to have some fun." Lussy said.

"What about Mari though you want her to go on?" Selly asked.

"She has her disguise right?" Zari asked.

"Yeah, I just need to put it on." Mari replied.

"And on top of that we're going to put her in a dark room and obfuscate her voice." Zari said.

"Can't you do that with the rest of us?" Lussy asked.

"I guess yeah, but what are you even going to say?" Zari asked.

"I don't know." Lussy replied.

"Well come up with something useful to say and I'll think about putting you on." Zari replied.

"Is there like a room we can talk in?" Lussy asked.

"There's a meeting room upstairs, 2nd door on the left. " One of the techs said.

"Awesome, come on girls." Lussy said before leading the rest of the newbies up the stairs.

"How did you end up working with so many woman?" The tech asked me.

"It's a long story." I replied.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"Phoebe keeps dragging him into bed with them." Kitty blurted out.

"Oh, that's how it works." The tech said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Be quiet that's not what happened." Phoebe said, her face would be lit up in embarrassment if she had a human complexion.

"Yeah it is." Kitty insisted.

"Kitty let it go." I said.

"But it's true." She said.

"Yeah but it's not worth embarrassing her over." I whispered into her ear.

"If you say so." She said with an eye roll.

"Where are the bathrooms here?" Mari asked.

"Back over there." The teleprompter tech replied.

"When you have your disguise on come into the studio upstairs we're going to work out our program today then we'll probably start filming right away." Zari said.

"Ok." Mari replied.

"Come on Kitty, Cj, Pheebles, you might as well come too. Let's get back to what we were doing before that happened." Zari said as she gestured towards the apc.

"Right." I replied as we all followed her back up the stairs where a couple of space policemen were still bubbled and unconscious.

"We should probably move these guys." Phoebe said.

"Right, they're kind of in the way." Zari said.

"I can take them to the jail." The driver said.

"Yeah I'll knock them out then we'll debubble them and I can teleport them over to the van." Phoebe said.

"Ok." The driver replied.

We did that, then helped shove their unconscious bodies into the van, before sending the driver on his way to the nearest jail. With the 2nd floor accessible again we finally returned to the studio. Mari had gotten into her disguise at that point so as soon as we had a template of what we would be doing we'd be ready to film.

Kitty was going to interview Mari about the hero officers, her questions would be written out before hand and on the teleprompter so she wouldn't have to memorize them. In case you were wondering, she does know how to read, the mudfrigimon that raised her taught her the absolute basics and then, once we decided to work for the U.S.C , to even be enlisted she had to be able to read at what was basically high school level so with some help studying, she passed the entrance exam fair and square, so she was brought up to par during basic training, about 98ish years ago. Though her handwriting was and still is pretty terrible.

Anyway, we started putting together a script for her, which was basically just a list of questions for her to ask Mari, that Zari, Pheebles, and I agreed on. This process went pretty quickly as most of the questions were obvious. Normally Zari came up with these on her own and Kitty was allowed a little bit of improv as well, but we wanted to participate, so we "helped", knowing full well they didn't really need us, but they were happy to work with us none the less.

Meanwhile, the newbies argued around in the meeting room about something they could contribute.

"Challey for the last time you goobus we shouldn't bring Cj or Phoebe up at all." Lussy said.

"We could talk about the mechanorimon." Kiera suggested.

"No that's also a bad idea. The space police could see this too you know? We shouldn't give any information on them or anybody else." Lussy replied.

"We could do a cooking show." Challey suggested.

"I don't know how to cook, do you? " Lussy asked.

"A little bit." Challey replied.

"Is there even a kitchen here?" Kiera asked.

"That doesn't really have anything to do with helping against the invasion though." Lussy said.

"Yeah, Zari won't go for it." Selly replied.

"I guess I'll write it down, but don't expect much." Lussy said.

"What if we like found some people that were imprisoned by the space police and interviewed them?" Selly asked.

"But then we'd have to show our faces. And finding enough people and bringing them over here would take more than the rest of the day. I don't know girls, I'm out of ideas." Lussy said.

"Maybe Emika can teach them her magic?" Lussy asked.

"No, it only works on my world, the only reason I can still use it here is because my broomstaff and clothes are inherently magical. No airborne mana here." Emika said.

"That's weird." Lussy said.

"I know, I don't even really know why. But I have the only magical items in this world and the material we would need to make more just doesn't exist here, much less in the amounts required to equip a whole army." Emika said.

"Maybe we'll get some more ideas by watching Kitty?" Selly asked.

"Maybe, let's go see, because I'm out of them." Lussy replied.

-meanwhile-

"Ok Mari here's a list of questions Kitty will ask you and you're just basically free to answer however you want, those seem ok?" I asked her as I gave her a copy of the list.

"Yeah." Mari replied.

"I get a copy too right?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah you got one you can read and they'll also be on the teleprompter." I replied as I gave her another copy.

"Remember it's better to use the prompter if you can so you can keep looking towards the camera and not down at the paper." Zari said.

"Right." Kitty replied.

"Allright Camera is set up, mics are set up, and we're ready to go on our end." The tech that didn't run the teleprompter said.

"Allright I guess Kitty you should go get on the stage, Mari get in the darkroom and we'll kick this off." Zari said.

"Right, let's go Mari." Kitty replied.

"No, you're going up there on set as usual and she's going next door with him." Zari said, referring to the tech that was setting up all the machines aside from the teleprompter, he was basically a tech and a camera guy.

"Oh, ok." Kitty replied.

"Remember Kitty, as usual don't use her name or any gendered pronouns." Zari said.

"Right." Kitty said.

There was the normal former news stage that Kitty entered, and a small soundproof dark room next door that Mari entered where her form would be blurred and her voice obfuscated in real time so she could remain anonymous. Which was the entire purpose of that room. They started filming Mari a couple minutes later to get the visual and voice distortion set up before we would go live.

"So um, what's your name and occupation, just so we can get the obfuscation set up?" The tech turned cameraman asked.

"My name is Mari, Mari Darklight. Codename Amarillo Lightning, former hero officer of the space police, this isn't live is it?"

"No we're just making sure you're all blurred and distorted prior to going live." The tech replied.

"Oh." Mari said.

"I'll let you know when we're live, or you'll hear Kitty asking you questions in your earpiece." The tech said.

"Got it." Mari replied.

"Ok I think I got this." The teleprompter tech back with us in the studio said as he got the distortion effects set up.

"Allright, let's do this, ready Kitty Kat?"

"Mhm." Kitty nodded from the stage, looking oddly adorable with her little headset on.

"Allright, Live in five, four, " Zari said before switching to counting down with her fingers in silence.

I pressed the button to start the camera rolling that was focused on Kitty, the tech got the privilege of pressing the button that started the broadcast that sent the recording to TVs all across the nation. A remarkable amount of power in that one button if you think about it. Anyway after that there wasn't much to do but quiet watch Kitty do her thing while Phoebe recorded her on set with her own camera for documentation purposes.

"Hello everybody it's good to be back. Did you miss me? We had to move around, but we're back at it at a new studio today!" She said cheerfully.

"Anyway, today we have another guest who will remain "anonynimouse"? That's a hard word, anyway they have agreed to answer some questions pertaining to a new type of unit the space police have been employing to oppress and enslave you all, the Hero officers, which are actually not very heroic at all! So, here they are." Kitty said as the tech put Mari's camera feed was put on screen.

"Hello. Can you hear me?" Kitty said cutely.

"Yeah, it's working." Mari replied.

"Ok good so I guess I'll start out by asking you what a hero officer is." Kitty said.

"Across the multiple universes the space police have sunk their rotten claws into, there are people born with superhuman abilities, they aren't exceedingly common, as opposed too, you know normal humanoids, but they are out there, and the space police want to capture and brainwash as many of them as possible to use as super soldiers. They'd make them their selves if they could figure out how." Mari replied.

"So uh, how many are out there that you know of?" Kitty asked as she read straight off her notes.

"Oh, there's several thousand, but they are spread extremely thin, there was only a dozen deployed here initially, most of which the resistance has defeated, I have no doubt they will send more once the Listanian invasion kicks off. But I would not expect the full force, this world can't be worth that much."

"Ok and do you have any suggestions for combatting hero officers?" Kitty asked.

"Well there's so many different ones and they all have different weaknesses. I know one that's weakened by a specific kind of rock and another that will melt if they touch ordinary water. We'll just have to wait and see which ones they send, and we'll deal with it from there. All I can really tell you is that superhuman strength and the ability to fly are really common powers as far as hero officers go, so you can expect a lot of those types, but there are stranger powers out there. We have witches, wizards, men made of rubber, werewolves, vampires, whatever they can brainwash into working for them." Mari said.

"Are there any we should be aware of and on the lookout for in particular?" Kitty asked.

"Well, there's nothing too concerning, remember actual heros will not voluntarily work for the space police for very long atleast, so the hero officers all have to be weak enough that the space police can capture them and brainwash them. So it's not like they're going to start sending gods after us that can manipulate space and time or some overpowered stuff like that. " Mari said.

"Well that's good." Kitty said.

"Right." Mari agreed.

The newbies quietly ignored the recording light and entered the studio.

"Are you familiar with the comic book character Captain Vapor Wave?" Kitty asked a question that was actually posed by one of the techs out of curiosity.

Captain Vapor Wave was a as of yet believed to be entirely fictional superhero that in addition to super strength had the ability to conjure a cloud out of thin air that he could fly around on as well as water generation and manipulation on par with Saphy's. According to the story he was once an ordinary man, a former marine captain that retired from the navy and using his expertise started a pretty successful defense business building weapons and tech for the navy. He got his powers when a greedy business rival tried to murder him while they attended a yaught party by quietly shoving him off the boat, where he almost drowned in the toxic waters which were ironically toxic because of the actions of said greedy businessman illegally dumping chemicals into the lake. The water got in his lungs and of course through the magic of comic book logic caused him to mutate. Anyway he was a very popular character on this world for some reason.

"Um, no I am not is he some sort of musician?" Mari asked.

"Um, no, he is, apparently a superhero that can manipulate water and flies around on a cloud." Kitty said.

" You think there's a chance he works for us?" Mari asked.

"I guess that's what we want to know?" Kitty asked, not knowing anything about Captain Vapor Wave herself. If anything he reminded her of Saphy.

"Well, I haven't heard of him personally, but, who knows? He could be out there. If you see him though please don't approach him. He is not the hero you know and love, he is a brainwashed soldier of the space police." Mari replied.

"Ok well, are there any questions you have for us?" Kitty asked.

"Nothing that I really need to ask you while we're on live tv." Mari replied.

"Allright then. That's all the questions we have, thank you for coming on to our little show today." Kitty replied.

"Thank you for having me." Mari replied.

"Allright, well everybody that's all that we have for you for now, it's been kind of a weird day. Thank you for watching and remember all your training that we've given you these past few days as we go back to airing our reruns to help remind you. Hopefully it will serve you well in the coming invasion and one day we can rid this world of the space police entirely. Until then we will stay on the air as long as we can." Kitty signed off and the tech then shut the broadcast down.

"Ok, that went well." Zari said.

"Did you newbies come up with anything?" Zari asked.

"No." Lussy replied.

"What if we like found some people that were imprisoned by the space police and interviewed them?" Selly asked.

"We kind of already did that." Zari replied.

"Oh." Selly replied.

"So what now?" I asked.

"What do you know about wilderness survival?" Zari asked.

"You have to boil water before drinking it….that's about it." I said as Kitty left the stage and came over and hugged me.

"Hi." She said cutely.

"Hey baby! You were great up there." I replied.

"I got it all on film." Phoebe said as she joined in our hug.

"It's already on film." Kitty said.

"Well on my camera I mean, for documentation reasons." Phoebe said.

"Oh ok." Kitty said.

"So are you going to stick around here for the rest of the day or what?" Zari asked.

"We don't have much else to do unless Raylena calls." I pointed out as I repositioned my arms to hug both my ladies.

"Maybe we could go do some things in the city?" Lussy asked.

"Maybe." Phoebe said as our hugging session ended.

"Kitty and I probably shouldn't leave, Raylena might call and want us to do a story on something or have some ideas of her own." Zari said.

"You want to spend tonight at the base or do you want to grab a hotel here?" Phoebe asked.

"We should stay at the base, that's part of the reason we were sent there is because the city is going to get hit hard in the opening stages of the invasion, which is why the traffic is as bad as it is, besides you three get your own house, it's not that bad." Zari said.

"Yeah I know, but the invasion probably won't be tonight." Phoebe replied.

"The air conditioning on ours kind of sucks." Lussy said as Mari and the other tech entered the studio.

"So what's the plan now?" Mari asked.

"Either wait till Raylena calls us with more ideas, or come up with our own. You have any?" Zari asked.

"Not really, no." Mari replied.

"Why don't we all go to the meeting room and try to work something out?" Zari asked.

-A couple minutes later with everyone in the meeting room.-

Of course I was sitting between my ladies with Phoebe on my right and Kitty on my left as usual. Zari across from us and the newbies in whatever other seats were available.

"I'm not sure how much survival skills will actually play into it all but we could probably teach some basic hunting and fishing. Though it'd probably be best to bring in somebody local to this planet. Cause I mean, none of us know what plants are edible here or what's available for game." I said.

"I've gone over basic martial arts, disarmament tactics, de-escalation, knives, we did guns yesterday." Zari said.

"Archery?" I asked.

"We could but why?" Zari asked.

"It has its advantages, you can occasionally re-use the ammo and unlike guns bows are nearly silent." I said.

"What about swords?" Kitty asked.

"Not enough people even have access to one to make it worth teaching." I said.

"We kind of already went over them with knives. Remember? You sparred against Elena?" Zari said.

"Oh that's what that was." Kitty said.

"Ooh who's Elena? Why didn't you tell me about her?" Phoebe asked.

"She is nobody you need to know." Kitty said exactly what I was thinking.

"Awwww." Phoebe whined.

"She's married and all the way back at the other city so." Kitty said.

"Oh, ok then." Phoebe said.

"Her and her husband are part of the resistance in Enlandia, they're both skilled with edged weapons and used to take part in competitions before they were banned." Zari explained.

"I see." Phoebe replied.

"Can we teach them how to counter tanks? Or maybe set up IEDs or something?" I asked.

"Uhhhhhm….I guess we could do a segment on sabotage or something like that." Zari said.

"What's an IED?" Kitty asked.

"It's a bomb, it blows up, improvised explosive device, usually used to counter light vehicles like trucks or Humvees. Actually on second thought I'm not sure if we should be encouraging civilians to use them because now that I think more about it, it could probably backfire horribly." I said.

"Yeah, there's better sabotage techniques that won't risk causing massive collateral damage." Zari said.

"Right." I agreed.

"Does anybody know how to make IEDS?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles, you just take a propane tank and surround it with packs of BBs. You shoot it, it blows up and sends thousands of bbs in all directions that do a lot of damage. That's an IED in its most basic form. Although preferably you'd want it to have some kind of trigger that doesn't require it to be shot, either remote, or by pressure mechanism of some sort. Basically there's three components, an explosive, a trigger mechanism, and some material to use as shrapnel, such as bbs, but almost anything small and metal will work, like screws, nails, you get the idea. " I said.

"Yeah but that's not something we should tell everyone to set up, the collateral would be insane." Zari said.

"Yeah so, back to the drawing board again." I replied.

"We could go over hunting and fishing, but like you said we should find a local expert to help with that." Zari said.

"Well, maybe Raylena could find somebody." I said.

"Yeah, I'll try to get a hold of her again." Zari replied before pulling out her phone and trying to call her, to no avail as she was still incredibly busy and we weren't the highest priority right now.

"Still no dice, I guess I could try calling Tanya again." Zari said.

"Well if you want to stay here and wait around that's fine, but I am kind of bored and I'm pretty sure this city has a beach since it's on the west coast right?" Phoebe asked.

"There are beaches yes." The teleprompter tech, who was a local after all, confirmed.

"That's probably true but you know the beaches are going to be the first place under fire when the Listanians arrive." Zari said.

"Yeah, but not right now. How about it Lussy you want to have a nice warm evening on the beach?"

"You know I can't do warm." Challey said.

"I know, but the other newbies can, and it beats waiting around here." Phoebe said.

"So you're just going to leave her behind?" I asked.

"Actually Challey if you stayed in the water you could probably keep yourself cool." Lussy pointed out.

"Oh, yeah that could work." Challey said.

"Yeah so you should come." Lussy said.

"Yeah you can just play in the water and we'll all come play with you." Phoebe said.

"And Cj, don't you want to see me and Kitty in a bikini again?" Phoebe asked as cutely as she could.

"Kitty is staying here." Zari said.

"I am?" Kitty asked.

"In case we get more orders, you should. Beaches have water anyway you know that right?" Zari said.

"Yeah I know Zari, I lived on Paloran. And they also have sand, and, I kind of like sand." Kitty said.

"You like sand?" Zari asked.

"Yeah if it's dry. Which it usually is further away from the water." Kitty said.

"It doesn't get in your fur?" Zari asked.

"Not if it's dry, it just brushes off. And it's kind of fun to play with." Kitty said.

"Yeah she'll burry herself in it, it's cute." I said, remembering the few times I got her to go to the beach with me on Paloran, she'd always stay on the very edge of the beach where the sand was usually dry, and just lay on a towel or play in it.

"Ahhhwoh, now you're embarrassing me." Kitty said.

"So you can play with her in the sand and me in the water." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but, she should still probably stay here." I recommended.

"Yeah." Kitty agreed.

"That just means I get you to myself." Phoebe said.

"If I decide to go." I said.

"Well you can't leave until our driver gets back from the jail anyway and going clear across town to the beach is going to be a nightmare, it will be dark by the time you get there with all the traffic." Zari said.

"That's probably true." I said.

"Ahhhhh." Phoebe whined.

"Not if you stay off the main roads and just take the side streets, but it's probably closed anyway, with everyone evacuating." The teleprompter tech said.

"That doesn't matter, we can go in anyway. They can't really stop us. And we could take one of the space police cars." Phoebe said.

"And you can use the lights on the car to get through traffic." Kitty said.

"Not with just the one car, that will just get us laughed at or carjacked." I said.

"Or shot." Zari said.

"Right." I agreed.

"Oh." Kitty said.

"It's not a good idea unless we have some spray paint to cross out the decals so they know we're not space police. And even then as soon as we plug the battery back in it will show up on the police GPS system." I said.

"Oh right. Ahhhhh." Phoebe realized.

Every space police vehicle here was visible on every other one's gps screen, marked with different colored dots that indicated what they were, blue for cars, purple for apcs, green for hover cars, etc, this helped them group up and coordinate their forces as well as finding stolen space police vehicles.

Anyway the Space police that were still on the run were not having the best time, there were some loyalists out there that would help them but they were few and far between. Most of them had nowhere to go and very limited resources. Most were laying low, quietly spying on the resistance, and basically planning to join up with Listania whenever they decided to invade, if we didn't go and invade them first. There hadn't been much talk about it, but it wasn't out of the question.

Listania was busy amassing its forces and loading up its ships. While the Confrian navy, was guarding the coastline and acting pretty much autonomously. Raylena was technically in charge of all the branches, but as she was still getting used to her now very busy life as leader of the free world of this planet, the top brass of each branch were still pretty much calling the shots. Two task groups were patrolling the west coast against Listanian forces. 16 ships in all, 2 carriers, and their escorts. One patrolling the north and the other the south. So the western border wasn't completely unprotected.

There were more ships in port but they were struggling to get the manpower and supplies to run them. Inevitably some of the navy were loyalists and were arrested, thankfully not enough to successfully hijack a single ship, though they commit various acts of sabotage and caused some damage. That said, the navy was the least affected branch, and also the least involved in the resistance movement. While there were several battles involving armored vehicles on land. There were no naval battles or really anything going on in the air either aside from some helicopters. Confria's armed forces, for the most part, were more concerned with protecting the actual country and its people than defending the corrupt authority of the space police, when Kitty went on the air and the majority of the population revolted against the space police, the majority of the armed forces personnel either remained neutral or joined the backbone of the resistance. Despite all the armed conflicts occurring across the land it was a relatively peaceful uprising considering no cities were bombed. Of course, the Listanian forces could not be expected to hold back to the same degree, when they arrived, it would be all out war. What part Eudoria would play was not known yet.

We sat in that room for several minutes, trying to come with something to put on the tv.

"Cj can I sit on your lap?" Phoebe asked, bored and apparently wanting attention.

"Yeah, just don't make it weird." I replied as I moved to let her in.

"This is useless, all the topics I could think to cover we'd need to bring an expert in to do them justice and we don't know anybody here, but we can't get ahold of Raylena so." Zari pointed out, before my phone started ringing.

"Oh hell here she is." I said before answering.

"Why'd she call you back and not me?" Zari asked.

"Shhh." Phoebe shhhhd her.

"What's going on?"

"Where are you guys at?" Some chick asked that was obviously not Raylena answered.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"The name is Edge, I take and make calls for Raylena now." She replied.

"Do we have new orders or what?" I asked.

"Yes, the day after tomorrow your usual team is going to get on a ship and set sail for Listania, somebody will give you further details but, the gist is it's been decided that we're going to do some pre-emptive strikes to weaken the strength of the invasion if not completely stop it in its tracks.. Further information will be provided once you are on board.

" Can Kitty come?" I asked.

"No. She needs to keep running her tv show. More information will be provided later, that is all for now." She replied before hanging up.

"Hey Pheebles, you still wanna go to the beach when our driver gets back?" I asked.

"Sure." She replied.

"What'd she say?" Zari asked.

"Kitty, I want you to come too." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"We're getting sent overseas?" Phoebe asked.

"On a boat, so we're going to be gone a while and of course Kitty and Zari have to stay here and I don't know about the rest of you. We have tomorrow off I guess, then we have to leave the next day so. Let's have some fun together while we can." I said.

"Why don't we just go tomorrow then everyone can go? Otherwise like Zari said, it might be dark by the time we get there." Phoebe asked.

"Ok." I said.

"We'll just spend the whole day there tomorrow." Phoebe said.

Then Zari's phone rang.

"I guess it's my turn." Zari said.

"Yeah, we're looking for somebody that's skilled in hunting and fishing here so we can interview them, that's the best idea we have right now. So if you can find somebody send them over, anyway, since you're sending Cj and Phoebe away for a while we're going to be taking tomorrow off. That's not negotiable, you have enough re-runs now you can keep the channel running all the time without us even being here." Zari said.

"I'm sure Raylena will understand. Thankyou." Zari said before hanging up.

"That wasn't her, she has a secretary now apparently. Anyway, I got tomorrow off for me and Kitty while they look for somebody they can bring in, so atleast we can have some fun before you have to leave." Zari said once she put her phone away.

"What about us? Are we going on the boat too?" Lussy asked.

"They said our usual team, so I guess that means they want you to stay here as well." I said.

"So that's you two Tabby, LeeLee and the flower girls?" Lussy asked.

"I would assume." I said.

"We'll trade you Tabby for Mari and Emika." Phoebe said.

"I don't know, if we're just waiting here maybe we should all go aside from Kitty and Zari?" Lussy said.

"Well they probably want to keep some of us back to maintain things here." Zari suggested.

"Yeah, that's what I'm thinking." I said.

"Rrr." I'm going to try to call her then." Lussy said as she took out her phone.

She called try to call Raylena only to get the same result Zari and I did, no answer. It was another 20 minutes before her new apparent new secretary Edge called her back only to confirm that her and the rest of the newbies as well as Henry and Claire were supposed to stay here, though there were no further orders for them at this time.

Sometime after that our driver returned and after picking up a metric ton of pizzas for everyone back at base, bussed us all back to the base where we had a small pizza party where we told everyone about the orders we were given and our plans to go to the beach the next day, everyone agreed, and then we headed to our house to settle in for the night.

"So how long are you going to be gone this time?" Kitty asked once we were alone, she was back in her persiamon form, having changed before we left the studio so the public, particularly around the pizza place, would not recognize her.

"Several days atleast. Maybe even weeks, boats are really slow and there's a lot of distance to cover. I'll call you every day, I promise." I said.

"I know you will, but who are you going to marry when you come back this time?" She replied.

"Nobody, but I can get you a souvenir if you want." I said.

"Like what?" She asked.

"I don't know, whatever I can find." I said.

"Can I borrow your phone?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh you're asking now?" I asked, jokingly.

"Yeah can I?" She asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"I wanna get some hotel rooms for tomorrow, I think we should have an orgy with the newbies after all if we're going to be apart for so long." She said.

"If you can find one that's still renting out." I said.

"So you're in then?" Phoebe asked.

"No wait, no orgies just a party, unless it happens on its own, don't force it." I said.

"We literally just had a party with our whole group." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but at the hotel we'll just have the girls and booze this time. So it can get a bit more wild but not like bachusmon's come on." I said.

"I still have some of that stamina drink stuff." Phoebe said.

"Fuck no, then we'll miss the boat for sure." I said.

"Look treat this as a party if anything happens it happens, but don't force it and don't give them false hope. Please." I said.

"Ok, well we'll see then, are Mari and Emika coming?" Phoebe asked.

"She said our usual group so I guess that means Saphy, Tabby, the flower girls, and IceLeomon, maybe we can sneak Mari and Emika on the boat too? I don't know, does Raylena even know they're with us? " I asked.

"I don't know, look I'll get this hotel stuff arranged, you two can start playing around I'll join you when it's done." Phoebe said.

"Ok if that's what you want." I said before she left the room with my phone.

"Kitty Kat." I said, playfully calling out to her.

"Mhm?" She replied before playfully pinning me to the bed and kissing me.

"Hehe baby hey take it easy." I said as she giggled playfully.

"It's been kind of a boring day hasn't it?" I asked as looked into her innocent brown eyes.

"Yeah, and all that just to find out you're going to be leaving again. For even longer than the last time." She said.

"Love you too baby and you know I'm gonna miss you every single day." I replied as I got my arms free from hers and hugged her tight.

"Good." She said.

"I'll go in my human form tomorrow. Then maybe we can play in the water too?" She asked.

"Of course if you're not worried about getting your hair wet." I said.

" It's when it gets in my fur or wings that bothers me, but I don't have either as a human so I'll give it a try just to play with you." She said.

"We'll see what happens tomorrow. Maybe we'll just lay on a towel and be lazy all day. We'll see what Phoebe wants." I said.

"Not on a public beach, no matter how bad she whines." I said.

"She does whine a lot." Kitty said.

"I think she might be just a bit jealous. I feel guilty, but I can't help that I've really been feeling for you lately." I said.

"It's just that we have to get used to the fact that things will never go back to the way they were." I said.

"Yeah." She agreed.

"And while I'm gone, try to get along with Zari. You did allright the last time." I said.

"Ok and if Phoebe wants to sleep with anyone you have my permission just don't tell me about it." Kitty said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, you know she's never going to stop bothering us about it even if we both say no." Kitty pointed out.

"You realize that means she's trapped both of us now right?" I said.

"Yeah well, as long as she brings you back to me." Kitty said.

"Someday when we have a house again." I replied." So you want to wait until she gets back or get started already?"

After having fun with both of them I fell asleep with both of them in my arms and woke up the next morning only snuggling with Phoebe, as Kitty, subconsciously trying to protect us from her claws, pulled away at some point, which was normal for her. It was rare for me to wake up with her in my arms, though it did happen on a few lucky mornings.

The morning went by normally with nothing worth mentioning happening. I played with Phoebe in the shower as Kitty slept in for a bit. Then I played with Kitty on the bed once she was awake and I was sufficiently dry for her liking.

After that we got dressed and joined the rest of the group for a pancake breakfast before everyone was brought into the city by van where we embarked on a quick shopping trip so everyone that didn't have some swimwear could acquire some, along with some towels and other odds and ends. Some Pheebles stole enough cash to pay for it all.

The city was kind of a ghost town at this point, the major stores were still open and staffed but there were very few vehicles in the parking lot or other customers in the store. There were still a lot of people leaving and the main roads were still extremely busy.

When we arrived at the beach it was a very similar story. Large "closed" signs were posted all along the perimeter and the parking lots were completely empty. This did not mean much however so we just "hopped the fence" and went in. There was nobody else around, no life guards on duty, and nobody running the various food stalls. We had the whole entire beach to ourselves!

The most troubling thing about it was nobody was watching for sharks, if they even existed here. We let out most of our pokemon shortly after we arrived.

Phoebe let out Bulby, her Venusaur, and charged him with looking after Mr. Cinders, our strange red and silver cyndaquil from another world who being an almost fresh starter, was basically a toddler. Then she let out Cloudela , Nidoqueen, Cubey, her marrowak, Draco, her dragonair, and Polli, her politoad, I let out Bubba, my blastoise, Blossom, my belossom, Cap'n'magnum, my magnezone, Rocky, my golem, HellBlade, my Houndoom, and my Rhyhorn. Aggron was too big, and our golbats were allergic to sunlight, so we kept them in their balls. Even if we liberally covered them in sunscreen, they hated being out in the sun and there wasn't a lot of places they could go for cover so it would be kind of cruel to force them to be out in this. I had 8, Phoebe had 7 counting Mr. Cinders. While the games famously limit you to six, in reality this limit only applies if you're taking part in sanctioned battles at the league, at the gyms, or in many minor tournaments that occasionally happen all over the place. With some lowering the limit even further to three. Carrying more than six is also generally seen as poor form in the typical battles one may get into at a park or pokémon center so the vast majority of trainers have six or less. But we weren't expecting to get into anything close to a professional pokémon battle any time soon.

We told them to stay on the beach and on this side of the boardwalk, after that, as you probably would expect the water pokémon went straight for the water while the ground and fire types stayed towards the back where it was dry. Henry and Claire let their Chikorita and totodile out too and played with them for a while until they buddied up with Bulby and Mr. Cinders and started playing around in the dry sand away from the water. Hellblade found somewhere to sleep, Cloudela and CapnMagnum floated around and explored the area.

Our driver left with the van to go hide somewhere for security reasons though we had his number and could call him back anytime. There was still a chance random patrols of baseless space police officers could come by, and if they saw the van they would know something was up and would probably crash the party.

It was a huge beach with a large boardwalk that roughly divided it down the middle.

Anyway, all the humanoids set out their towels. Phoebe helped me put on sunscreen, then went to go play around in the water with Challey and Saphy who were the first ones in. I helped Kitty with her sunscreen as we weren't sure if her human form was immune to sun burns or not. Then I layed next to her for a bit clear in the back of the beach on the driest patch of sand a few feet away from the parking lot almost as far from the water as possible. She looked pretty damned sexy in the red bikini and sunglasses we just bought for her. Of course everyone else set their towels a lot closer to the ocean.

All the girls looked amazing in their bikinis, If Phoebe's could be called a bikini since it had two front straps that went around her psyhorn in a diamond pattern since she couldn't wear a normal bikini top due to being a gardevoir. They even talked Tabby into wearing one. And this was also the first time I got to see Mari and Emika barefoot, but Kitty and Pheebles were still the most beautiful girls in the world to me, and then there was Zari, who I never got tired of seeing in a bikini either. Saphy didn't bother with a bikini and just went with her normal clothing instead since she usually wore swimwear as a ranamon anyway.

"So what do you wanna do?" Kitty asked as we layed side by side.

"I don't know, I could just stare at you all day." I said, making her laugh.

"I guess my human form was the right choice." She replied.

"Yeah, I mean holy crap are you sure you wanna be my wife?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm never changing my mind on that, you're my husband, forever." She said with a laugh.

"Allright then." I replied.

-a few seconds of lounging around later. -

"Ya know? I don't really like this sunscreen, it's all slimy." Kitty said.

"You'll hate getting sun burned even more, just trust me on that." I said.

"If you say so." She replied.

We can manipulate the ground to form into walls and other objects. It has a huge variety of applications, from being used as a weapon to simply lighting fires and cooking." Emika explained.

"No, these crystals already occur naturally on my home world, the thing about them being made of blended souls is just a theoretical simplification. Nobody really knows how they came about exactly. "Yeah, nnnnhehe." Kitty agreed as they both grinned at me maliciously.

"Ok wait what?" I said as they slowly approached and then I was splashed relentlessly without mercy.

Thankfully they quickly got bored of this.

"Ok you both win." I said.

"Yeah, this got boring pretty fast." Phoebe said.

"Yeaaaah." Kitty agreed.

"You sure you don't want to go back to the rocks and just screw around all day?" Phoebe asked.

"No because if the newbies find out, or Zari finds out, and they will if we stay there too long, We'll either have to let them play or they'll never let it go." I said.

"OK well here's an idea, you think they have any oysters here?" I asked.

"I don't know, we'd have to go farther out to see them wouldn't we?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, probably." I said.

"And I can't swim very well, especially without my powers." Phoebe said.

She can swim ok, but with the tendency of psychic types to not have much in the way of skeletal muscle, she doesn't have the physical stamina to keep it up for long. She can use her telekinesis to boost her physical ability, but the motions required to swim properly are complex enough that this becomes taxing as well.

"I can't swim at all." Kitty said.

She hates water so much she refuses to learn to swim despite living on a tropical island planet for 40-ish years.

"Hey Kitty Kat do you even have to breathe?" I asked.

"It hurts if I don't." She said.

"Weird." I replied.

"Yeah." She agreed.

"And don't you go out there and touch a bunch of weird alien creatures! Some of them could be poisonous." Phoebe said.

"That is a good point. Except we're the aliens in this situation." I agreed.

"True, but still." Phoebe said.

"And we're invading." I said, laughing at the irony of it all.

"Well we're only interested in getting the other aliens, the space police out, not ruling over the people with an iron fist." Phoebe said.

"There was a time when I wondered if little green men and tall grey men existed, but now I've long realized a better question is not what is out there, but what isn't?" I replied.

"Little green men? They look normal size here." Kitty said.

"Not the green men here Kitty, it's kind of hard to explain." I said.

"Like Kiera? Except she's a girl." Kitty asked.

"No, like, I don't remember how it started but, like ok on my world, like after World War 2, which is a whole other story entirely, people got into this huge ufo craze. And there's a bunch of reports of people seeing ufos and aliens and all the cover ups, none of which have ever been proven and one of these that stuck out and persisted were reports of little green men." I tried to explain as briefly as possible.

"Okaaaaay." Kitty said, still confused.

"And by little, I mean like child sized." I said as I demonstrated with my arms.

"Oh." She replied.

"And nobody knew if they really existed or not and now. Well, that wouldn't be so surprising with all we've seen right?" I said.

"I guess so." Kitty replied.

"Did that just go completely above your head baby?" I asked.

"Noooo, um, we've seen a lot of weird people from different places." Kitty said.

"Right." I replied.

"Yeah, a lot of weird people, and a lot of weird cultures, but most of them all want the same things, in essence, they just have different ways of acquiring it. Some are more ethical than others. " Phoebe said.

"You girls wanna have a race over to the boardwalk?" I asked.

"A swimming race?" Phoebe asked.

"Yep. We could probably still hide out under it without any of the others seeing us, you know?" I asked.

"I mean we could, but you'll win." Phoebe said.

"I can't even swim." Kitty replied.

"Oh wel go." I said before taking off.

"HEY NO FAIR!" Phoebe said as she chased me in vain.

"nnnnh." Kitty said, frustrated because she couldn't swim at all, but slowly walked through the chest deep water anyway.

And so I raced them back to the boardwalk and won very easily.

"Wow you two suck at swimming." I said while I waited on the shore for them to arrive.

"You know I can't swim very well, especially when my powers aren't back yet." Phoebe said as she went back up onto the shore to me.

"I can't swim at all, I'm not a fish." Kitty said as she came back up on the shore as well.

"You want to learn?" I asked her as she arrived.

"Not really. I was only in the water because you were." She replied.

"You could probably swim better than me if you learned." Phoebe said.

"I don't want to, I don't like the water." Kitty said.

"So if we get dumped into the ocean for some reason at some point you'll just sink then? Like if they shoot down a plane or a boat we're on or some other reason, maybe you'll just get launched into the ocean by a giant scary monster, like Crimson Seadramon." Phoebe asked.

"Cj will save me." Kitty said.

"Yeah, after Pheebles." I said.

"I'll be fine I just need to get calm and teleport out." Phoebe said.

"But sometimes you panic and you can't." I said.

"Yeah well." Phoebe said.

"You could just call me back into the digivice." Kitty said.

"True. If you're not sent out of range by the time I can react." I replied.

"Ok, but what if Cj is drowning and I'm not there for some reason? You just going to watch?" Phoebe asked.

"That won't happen." She said with a smile.

"Well, I usually have Bubba with me so." I said.

"Yeah, Bubba will save him." Kitty said.

"You won't learn to swim if it could help save our husband? He doesn't always have Bubba with him, like right now. Since Bubba is out and probably playing in the water over there somewhere." Phoebe asked, giving her the eyes.

"Ok, ok , maybe some other time?" Kitty asked.

"Ok, that works for me." Phoebe said.

"It'd be easier in a pool without all the waves." I said.

"Right." She agreed, just looking for a way out.

"Hey Cj, Kitty, you wanna just snuggle here for a while, until I can see the others again?" Phoebe asked.

"If that's what you want." I said.

"Can we go up more so the sand is dryer?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah we can go up more." Phoebe replied.

We went up more and then sat down alongside the boardwalk.

'Now this is heaven." I said as I snuggled with both my ladies on a nice warm beach, on some nice fine sand, in the middle of the day. Their cute feet brushing against mine.

"No." Phoebe said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because our babies aren't here." She replied.

"Yeah, that's a good point." I said.

"And I'm all wet and my eyes are stinging from the ocean water." Kitty added.

"That's a bit easier to fix." I said.

"A lot easier, she'll be fine in a half hour or so, I don't know how long it will be until we get back to our babies." Phoebe said.

"Also, while it's just three of us. Why don't we talk about Zari for a bit?" Phoebe asked.

"Why?" Kitty asked.

"You know why, she wants in and it's getting to the point where we're going to need to decide whether we let her in or not, we can't keep leading her on, it's cruel." Phoebe said.

"Why should we let her in?" Kitty asked.

"Well, she loves Cj, we get along with her allright, and she's a strong fighter for somebody that's basically human without any special powers, so, she could help protect him." Phoebe said.

"Why are you so obsessed with protecting me? You know I've saved your life about as many times as you saved mine." I said.

"I know, but it's just in my nature." Phoebe said.

"Mine too." I said.

"But how many night does she get to be alone with him?" Kitty asked.

"Not many, and she'll probably just stay our virara, not a wife." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, she hasn't earned it yet." Kitty agreed.

"That and this doesn't need to get any more complicated." I said.

"Anyway I guess we also could have made love behind this thing too." I said.

"No because Emika was up there. You want a round with Zari?" Phoebe said.

"I'll take her over the newbies." I replied.

"She misses you, since we're not on the bus anymore. What do you think Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know. I like her, I really like her, but 3 of you might be pushing it." I said.

"Kitty why don't you go bring her over here and we'll talk together?" Phoebe asked.

"Do I have too?" Kitty asked.

"Yes, I can't go my boobs are still all puffed up." Phoebe said.

"What if I don't want to?" Kitty asked.

"Just do it, please?" Phoebe asked.

"Fine." Kitty reluctantly gave into her cuteness before getting up and leaving.

"I just want to ask her a few questions and then we'll see about making her our virara." Phoebe said.

"No ceremony?" I asked.

"Well it's like you and Kitty's wedding, we'll sort it out later." Phoebe said.

"You're not marrying her too?" I asked.

"If she wants me on the altar I'll be there, if she just wants you, that's fine too. It doesn't matter to me. It won't change what we do in bed. She's cute and fun to play with but I see her as more of a little sister. Cj, it's her wedding, it's all up to her. If you think she deserves to be your wife she also deserves her own special day. I've already had more than my share." Phoebe said.

We sat there quietly for a few seconds until she decided to tease me.

"You keep looking at my feet." She said with a laugh while she playfully curled her toes.

"You know why." I said.

"Pheebles, if you keep doing that I'm going to go for your boobs." I warned.

"Well maybe when Zari gets back I'll let you take her as our new virara. If Kitty and I both stand on guard you should be safe. She would probably like some time with you too, since you and I are going away for a while" Phoebe said.

"We'll deal with them tonight maybe, but they won't get to be alone with you and then I'll let you have the whole night with Kitty." Phoebe said.

"What are you going to do tonight?" I asked.

"I don't know, can I just get permission to play around with whoever?" Phoebe asked.

"Whatever you need to be comfortable. Just don't get pregnant." I said.

"I know, but you're the only man I want." She replied.

"No, because aside from Kitty I have to fight you every time to get you to sleep with girls we already know. I know you well enough to know that you're not just going to start sleeping around and we've been over this before, we share them. If I didn't find enjoyment in it, then I wouldn't keep pushing it. So I just look at it as us being really close sisters now, and, she's the one person I'm ok with sharing you with. Now Ronnie, I only know her through your memories, and, well she's dead so it's kind of a moot point." Phoebe said.

"Yeah." I reluctantly agreed.

"You are one strange girl Pheebles." I said with a sigh.

"Oh but you love me more than life itself." She teased as she put her feet up against my legs again.

"Yeah you are my very special baby girl." I said as I lovingly pulled her close to which she responded by making happy noises.

We held each other like that in silence for a while, just enjoying being close until Kitty finally returned with Zari.

"Here she is." Kitty said as she returned with Zari in tow.

"You wanted to talk?" Zari asked.

"Yeah, come sit with us." Phoebe said.

"You snuck off to mess around haven't you?" Zari asked.

"Yeah, well, you know how we are." Phoebe replied.

"Anyway you probably already know what this is about, I let Cj marry Kitty, which means she is now completely my sister wife and no longer our virara, which means we have an open slot." Phoebe said.

"Or hundreds of open slots according to her." I said, jokingly.

"Well, anyway, since we're leaving for a few weeks tomorrow, with Tabby and some of the others, um, are you still interested?" Phoebe asked.

"Well you've kind of been blowing me off recently but, yeah." Zari said.

"Not completely I let you kiss him last time we were separated. Look we're not on the bus anymore, we're spread out across the country, and tomorrow this planet. We couldn't keep up what we had if we tried, not while this war is going on." Phoebe said.

"Anyway, if Kitty and I let you in, you agree to remain exclusive, to the three of us?" Phoebe asked.

"I've already been through it all once, you know this." Zari said.

"I know, but hopefully this will be the last time." Phoebe said.

"Hopefully it will go better, atleast the kids part, my husband was fine." Zari said.

"You know what would be hilarious? If he hooked up with Ronnie, in, wherever the heck they are." I said.

"That would be kind of funny." Phoebe agreed.

"You think they're in the same place?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, does every planet there have its own heaven, or is there just one heaven for the whole universe? What happens to those that die in space they just go to whatever heaven belongs to the planet they happen to be closest too?" I asked.

"You should have asked the god of that universe when we met him." Phoebe said.

"I didn't think about it at the time." I replied.

"Anyway back on subject. Do you swear to protect our beloved husband with your life if necessary?" Phoebe asked.

"That's not necessary." I said.

"He just said it's not necessary." Zari said.

"Do you agree that we stand together and protect each other to the best of our ability?" I asked.

"Yes." She replied.

"I still get more nights with him than her if we do this right?" Kitty interjected.

"Yes, you're his wife now, like me. Honestly Zari I just want to tell you now you probably won't get many nights alone with him, not even as many as Kitty got when she was still our virara. So, if you're not ok with that." Phoebe replied.

"As long as she doesn't get to order me around?" Zari asked.

"I don't know why that would happen." Phoebe said.

"Does she get to order me around?" Kitty asked.

"When it comes to running your show, yes. She's your boss. This won't change that or anything else ok." I said.

"So are we doing this then?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, any more questions Kitty?" Phoebe asked.

"I want babies first." Kitty insisted.

"That's a whole other discussion we'll work that out when it's appropriate to even take into consideration, and besides that, I was first." Phoebe said.

"Oh, right." Kitty remembered.

"Ok well, we'll let you work things out with Cj for a bit, we'll stay on guard, so nobody sees you, you both have permission yatta yatta yatta, hopefully we can work things out." Phoebe said.

"Come on Kitty." Phoebe said.

"You're letting me decide?" I asked.

"Well, I already agreed, you're the one with the crush on her. Have fun you two!" Phoebe said as she got up and walked away with Kitty in tow.

"I didn't agree." Kitty stubbornly objected.

"But you don't have any more questions?" Phoebe asked.

"No but I don't agree." Kitty said.

"I'll talk you into it over here." Phoebe said as they walked away.

"So, um." I struggled to think of anything to say as she sat next to me.

"So?" She asked.

"Should I just propose like I did with Kitty?" I asked.

"If you want." Zari replied.

"Well we've both been around before, that's something you and I have that Kitty and Pheebles don't. We got married, had a baby, and outlived both them and our respective partners at the time. You somehow managed to find yourself on the wrong side twice."

"If you say so." She interjected.

"Well atleast once when you were with the space police, the Zelusian thing I"

"I was never fully devoted to their cause, I only worked for them for the same reason you joined the USC, we happened to wind up in their space and it was the easiest way we could search for everyone else." She interrupted me.

"Allright then. Anyway then we found you again, and we had a lot of fun on that ship, a lot of fun."

"and on the bus." She said.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Look this is a strange group, it's probably going to keep getting bigger if we pull this off. And I don't want to marry somebody just to watch them grow old and die again. And, I'm not sure if I can honestly say love, but I do really like you and I know we'll only grow closer over time. This isn't a normal situation, the dating pool for whatever we are now is insanely shallow. I either go through the same situation I went through with my previous husband all over again which is really hard to do when you know they're going to grow old and die eventually, I could become a total slut and seduce as many men as I can, and throw away any sense of dignity or permanence, or I can share one of the few immortals out there like me with a handful of other women I feel like I can get along pretty well with. Look, you know me enough by now to know I'm not as crazy as Pheebles I have nowhere near her sex drive, and I'm not nearly as um, special as Kitty, So, will you let me be your virara?" She ended up proposing to me instead.

"It's not like it wasn't going to happen eventually." I replied.

"Right." She agreed.

"So um, should we make it official?" She said as she lowered the straps of her bikini top.

"Well they said we could and dammit you look too good in that bikini, is that the same one you had on the ship?" I asked.

"Yep." She replied.

"Ehem" Kitty grunted.

"Kitty Kat, is someone coming?" I asked her.

"No, but I need to say something." Kitty said.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't talk her down." Phoebe said from around the corner.

"If I agree to this I get to be part of this round." Kitty said.

"That's all it takes for you to agree?" I asked.

"No, I also get one out of every three nights alone with you, if possible. From now on."

"And you already worked this out with Pheebles?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied.

"Allright get over here." I said.

"Mhm, either that or no Cj for you. And apologize for all those times you called me lazy or yelled at me to get up, and all the other stuff." Kitty said as she lovingly draped herself around me.

"Really? You're going to be this childish about it all?" Zari replied.

"Mhm, or it's a no." Kitty said teasingly.

"Ok, fine let's get this over with." She replied.

"Ok then baby you can lay on top of me so you don't get sand in you again." I said as I laid down.

"Ok." She replied.

"And we'll get you undressed and take it from there." I said.

"Right." She agreed.

I helped her get naked again and massaged her nips while she layed on top of me as Zari went down on us both.

After she got off from that she wanted me to take her first and wanted to make a show of it, usually she's a lot quieter than Pheebles when we make love, but now she had me wondering who could actually be loudest.

She kissed me one more time before heading over to her bikini that was laying on the ground and redressing herself. While I just stood there, completely out of it.

"I'm going to take that as a yes." She said a few seconds later.

"Let's just relax then." Zari said.

"Kitty you ruined it!" Phoebe complained after she teleported in from somewhere close by nobody thought to look.

"I didn't mean too, but I needed to get my point across." She replied.

"Was this all just so you could watch us?" I asked my beloved voyeur as I put my trunks back on and sat next to Kitty and pulled her into another kiss because all I wanted to do at that point was return her affections.

"No that was just a happy bonus." She said as she shook her head.

"You know you're my whole world too." Phoebe said.

"Me too?" Zari asked.

"Yeah, get over here. You're with us now aren't you?" Kitty said.

"Except I can't comfortably hold all three of you close." I said.

"That's ok, just hold your wives, I'll just stay by you." Zari said.

"Allright if you're ok with that." I replied.

"No I'll sit on his lap, you get my side." Phoebe said as she moved to my lap.

"Why do you get to sit on his lap?" Kitty asked.

"Because I'm his first wife and the smallest." Phoebe replied.

"Ok this is heaven." I said.

"No if it was heaven we'd be naked." Phoebe said.

"Then let's get naked." Kitty said.

"No, that might get Cj going again and we shouldn't be here very long." Phoebe said.

"How much longer do you want us to be here?" I asked.

"I don't know." She replied.

"Should we tell the rest of the group?" Zari asked.

"When we get back from overseas" Phoebe said. "Oh and one more thing Zari."

"What?" She asked.

"You can actually start using our last name now." Phoebe said.

"Good, no more Linerman." Zari replied.

"Yeah, you're one of us now sister and you'll be our head virara and you'll get to be in charge of whoever we bring in next." Phoebe said.

"Could we please just get used to this arrangement first before we start bringing in more girls?" I asked. Hoping she wouldn't bring in any more as this was complicated enough as is, but also knowing that was my pipe dream and hers was literally the opposite.

"Yeah, ok." Phoebe replied.

"I swear my psychic needs a psychiatrist." I said with a laugh.

"No what I need is for you to trust me." Phoebe said.

Zari laughed as well. Kitty didn't know what a psychiatrist was.

"What songs can you play with that?" Kitty asked, somehow thinking it was "some kind of musical instrument she could play using her powers."

"What?" I asked.

"What does it sound like?" She asked.

"Like a person." I said.

"Like a person talking or walking or burping or?"

" I guess all of the above in certain amounts." I replied.

"Why not just use a real person?" Kitty asked.

"Whahahat?" I asked with a laugh.

"What do you think a psychiatrist is?" Zari asked.

"A musical instrument like a pinano, but like, she can use her powers to play it?" Kitty asked, making the other three of us laugh.

"Um, you know I could just do that with a normal piano right?" Phoebe asked.

"Well then what is it?" Kitty asked.

"A psychiatrist is a doctor that can help people with their mental issues, such as Pheebles and her rampant sex addiction." I said.

"Hey, no." Phoebe replied.

"How did I get it so wrong?" Kitty asked.

"I wish I knew baby, I wish I knew." I replied.

"It's not an addiction." Phoebe said.

"That's exactly what addicts say." I replied.

"It's also what non-addicts say." Phoebe said.

"Either way it's meaningless." I replied.

"I can control it I just don't want too. I did it while we were separated." Phoebe said.

"As hard as it is for me to believe that I can't disprove it. Even though you know I won't hold it against you, Kitty has done how many other guys? She doesn't even know, and Zari, atleast 2 others. You don't have to keep it a secret Pheebles." I said.

"There you go again assuming I'm lying to you." She said.

"I'm just teasing you baby you know that." I said.

"I know." Phoebe replied.

"You might as well tell him." Zari said.

"There's nothing to tell. I was perfectly chaste for 100 years and am just trying to make up for it now with the man I love more than anything short of our own kids." Phoebe said.

"Well, we should probably split before somebody else comes over here." Zari said.

"Yeah, or they might suspect something." Phoebe said.

"Maybe we can make it official later?" Zari asked.

"Maybe at the hotel, sorry it didn't work out right now but you know Kitty loves him too and she was a bit unsure and there was no stopping her." Phoebe said.

"I get it. As long as she's not threatening me with her claws." Zari replied.

"Hurt my husband and I will." Kitty said.

"Easy baby." I said as I rubbed her back.

"Why would I hurt him? I love him too. You idiot." Zari replied.

"You want to go back to playing volleyball?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know it's about lunch time isn't it?" I asked.

"I think so, yeah." Phoebe replied.

"You got any ideas what we're supposed to do for lunch when most of the restaurants are closed in this area?" I asked.

"We could call our driver, get in the van and find one that's not closed." Phoebe said.

"Even if we do you really wanna go in there in your bikinis?" I asked.

"Ok well, what if I used my powers to break into the concession stand, maybe I could make some burgers for everyone or something?" Phoebe asked.

"That could work." I said.

"Let's go get my flip flops and my purse and then we'll go see." She said.

"And those are by your towel I take it?" I asked.

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

We went over to the other side of the boardwalk to retrieve our things then headed to the concession stand which was back over by the boardwalk, closed and shuttered. There was a plentiful amount of metal chairs and tables bolted to this large slab of concrete on the ground in front of it. It had a countertop running along the side where people would normally order food and a full kitchen.

Thankfully whoever ran the concession stand left it fully intact. Along with the expected assortment of potato chips and candy bars they also offered burgers made of mystery meat, hotdogs, which according to the packaging were made out of "100% premium Borslo", nachos which came in a big unlabeled plastic bag. and fish sticks which according to the packaging were apparently made from "100% sea cow meat", I could only assume that sea cows were actually the name of some kind of fish here and were not in fact the marine mammal which either didn't exist in this world or had some other name as the sticks themselves were most definitely made of fish meat, either that or the packaging was lying. Anyway, the stand was well stocked, still had power to keep the freezers running, and all the equipment was there.

-several minutes later-

We sent Kitty out to go tell the others.

"Hey in case anybody wants lunch we opened up the concession stand!" Kitty announced to the others bringing the volleyball game to a stop. It was now Henry, Claire, and Kiera, against Selly, Challey, and Lussy. While Tabby just layed on a towel nearby and soaked up the sun. Iceleomon and his wives, along with Saphy, Mari, and Emika were playing in the ocean and our pokemon hadn't moved much from where they originally were. Bubba couldn't be seen as he was underwater somewhere exploring. Magnum and Cloudella seemed to be watching the volleyball game and the others were all at the edge of the beach babysitting the starters.

"You what?" Henry asked.

"Cj said to say we got burgers and hotdogs and some other stuff I forgot." Kitty said.

"Ok." Henry replied.

"And it's all free!" Kitty announced.

"Got ya. " Henry said.

"Is that what you four have been doing all this time?" Claire asked

"Well, part of the time." Kitty cutely replied.

"Do we have to go over there now or just whenever?" Lussy asked.

"Just whenever also if somebody could go tell everyone in the water about this so I don't have to go in that'd be great." Kitty said.

"But your hair is already wet." Claire pointed out.

"I don't know how to swim." Kitty said.

"Really? And you've lived on Paloran for how long?" Henry asked.

"I don't like water. I mean I can kind of stand it in my human form but I didn't have this body on Paloran." Kitty said.

"I'll go get them." Selly said.

"Ok, thanks." Kitty said.

-meanwhile-

"Pheebles you don't have to run the whole stand by yourself." I said.

Once we figured out where everything was in order to operate it, she considered it a kitchen and banned Zari and I from entering and tried as hard as she could with her little gardevoir frame to shove us out the door, so we just left on our own volition. So the two of us were sitting at one of the tables nearest to the counter of the building. While she moved about in the kitchen.

"I'm not, Kitty is the waitress." Phoebe decided right then and there without even telling Kitty beforehand.

"And what are we supposed to do?" I asked.

"You two are on a date." She said, cheerfully.

"To the beachside concession stand that has been hijacked by my wife?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied.

"Fancy place, they got chips and candy bars." Zari said with heavy comedic sarcasm.

"Yeah look at the chairs and tables they're all luxurious, high quality, solid, what is that? Like a robin egg blue painted steel? " I asked.

"More of a seafoam." Zari said.

"It kind of matches my toes almost, but just a bit lighter." Phoebe commented.

"Yeah kinda, not as pretty though." I said.

"Awwwe Cj." Phoebe replied.

"Or suckable either." I thought.

"I heard that!" She replied telepathically.

"You gonna let me?" I thought, teasingly.

"Not right now, maybe tomorrow morning. Just enjoy your date with Zari, I'll make you some burgers" She replied telepathically.

"I'll make you two some burgers. Unless you want something else." She said to us out loud.

"Nah that works fine." Zari replied.

"She is serious about us being on a date." I said, finding it hard not to laugh.

"It kind of makes up for Kitty ruining our moment earlier." She replied.

"I love her, but she is a goofball." I said.

"Not necessarily, if you forget she's your wife it is kind of romantic." Zari said.

"Yeah but the waitress is also my wife so." I said.

"Yeah but she isn't back yet. It's just you and me and that cute chef we never met before." Zari said.

"I guess so, until everyone else gets here and asks why we're sitting alone together." I said.

We went quiet for a bit.

"So, um, do you think we can do this? I mean. Do you think we can drive the space police out?" I asked.

"I hope so, but I don't have enough information on the Listanian forces to make that determination at this time. Hopefully you, Pheebles, and the digimon can sort that out." Zari replied.

"I don't know if we're just spying or destroying things." I said.

"Probably a bit of both, they'll probably keep you over there for a while until they're content. From what I've heard it doesn't seem like it's going to be an in and out operation." Zari said.

"Well, you know I'll be calling you and Kitty every day."

"I know and she is going to be constantly bugging me about it, are you sure we can't trust her with a phone?" Zari asked.

" I don't know how we're going to get her another phone." I said.

"Ask Raylena." Zari said.

"If we can even get ahold of her anymore." I said with a laugh.

"Yeah, that's become a bit of an issue as of late hasn't it?" Zari asked.

"Well she's basically the president now, so, yeah." I said.

" I told them all." Kitty said as she returned.

"Welp she's back." Zari said.

"Mhm." I replied.

"Hey Kitty Kat." I greeted her.

"Please don't interrupt their date." Phoebe requested.

"They're on a date now?" Kitty asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied.

"But we're both here too." Kitty said. Even she understood the absurdity of it all.

"I don't get it either Kitty Kat she's just being weird." I said.

"I'm just thinking how we've never gone on a date before." Kitty said, extremely erroneously.

"Um, Kitty, honey, baby, we spent the last 20 years alone and childless together, I've taken you on more dates than I can even remember. All those restaurants I took you to, all those days at the beach, the founder's day parades, the boat trips. I've gone out with you more than I've gone out with Pheebles at this point, what are you even talking about?" I asked.

"Oh right." She replied as her eyes lit up.

Mind you one of Paloran's most important figures in its early days was a brewery magnate. So Founder's day is insane with plentiful amounts of tourists and beer and more free alcohol than is probably sane. It is the most important holiday on the planet and also its busiest time of year.

"Yeah, you remember now? Don't tell me you forgot about all of that already." I asked.

"No I didn't forget, I just didn't think. I love you hubby." She said as she hugged me.

"Love you too baby." I replied.

"Kitty leave them be." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles you can't really call this a date since we're all here. It's just too strange." I said.

"Kitty pretend you never met Cj before and just work here normally." Phoebe said.

"I don't want to." Kitty refused.

"What kind of weird roleplay you trying to do here?" I asked.

"This isn't a sex thing I'm just trying to give you two a romantic moment." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles it will happen when it happens, not when it's forced." I said with a laugh.

"Right." Zari agreed.

"Here Kitty sit with us." I said.

"Ok." She replied as she stopped hugging me and sat by me.

"What do you want to eat Kitty Kat?" Phoebe asked.

"Do I need to eat in this form?" She asked.

"Well, go on and get something to eat anyway it's free." I said.

We were paying for it, Phoebe just stole so much cash from the space police it really didn't matter.

"Ummmmm, nnnng there's so many choices." She said in frustration as she looked at the menu board on the side of the building next to the counter.

"We have fish sticks." Phoebe suggested.

"Ok, go with that then." Kitty replied.

"Allright coming up once the fryer heats up." Phoebe said.

"How those burgers coming?" I asked.

"I gotta get them defrosted first. " She replied.

"Just remember to wash your hands!" Zari said to Phoebe.

"Yeah." I replied.

"I already did." Phoebe replied.

"Good." Zari said.

"Also Kitty you're still the waitress though for our friends so don't get too comfortable." Phoebe replied.

"I'm a what now?" She asked.

"She wants you to go around and find out what everyone wants to eat and then bring them their food when it's ready." I said.

"Ok. Should I?" Kitty asked.

"It would help her out a little bit so, why not?" I asked.

"Oh ok, I'll be the waitress then." She relented.

She kissed me on the cheek before getting up and heading to the counter.

"Should I go ask them what they want now or do we just wait until they get here?" She asked.

"Either way you wanna do it, if you wanna go back and sit with Cj for a while until they show up its ok. Whatever you decide. Thanks for agreeing to help though.' Phoebe said.

"No problem sister." She replied.

-Several minutes later-

Saphy, Emika, Mari, Iceleomon and his wives were the first to arrive since Henry, Claire, and the Newbies wanted to finish their game first.

"What is going on here?" Saphy asked.

"Oh hi Saphy, welcome to my kitchen where I make lunch for everyone and that's about it." Phoebe cheerfully greeted our friends as they made their way over.

"Oh it's your kitchen now?" I asked.

"Well for today it is. Go ahead and find a seat everybody Kitty will take your orders shortly." My beloved replied.

"Do we get menus?" Saphy asked.

"Just read the board over here, I can't find any menus in here to hand out." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Saphy replied.

"Hey Saphy, have you seen Bubba?" I asked.

"Yeah he's just swimming around." She replied.

"Did you find any fish?" Phoebe asked. "Kitty and I can't go out very deep.

"I think I saw a few, but It's mostly just sand out there." Saphy replied.

"I've not seen any fish either." IceLeomon replied.

His wives and Chally nodded in agreement.

"If there is fish here you think they taste any good?" Kitty asked.

"There's probably some that do, others are probably poisonous and we have no way of knowing which is which." I said.

"The poison won't hurt me though." Kitty replied.

"We don't know that for sure, atleast in your human form, and we shouldn't find out, and unless Bubba catches one and brings it over here we have no way of getting one anyway. It's not worth the risk, atleast the fish sticks here can be trusted somewhat since we know they were sold to people to eat." I said.

"If you say so, I miss the fish they had on Paloran." Kitty said.

"Eh you'll find others, after this war is over and things settle down. We'll have time to learn more about this world." I said.

"You like fish, but you hate the water?" Zari asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"I never could talk her into going fishing with me either." I said.

There's a few islands on Paloran big enough to have a fresh water source, and those are all the spots people would fish for fun, otherwise fishing in a small boat on the open ocean was extremely dangerous due to the existence of the creature known as the sea tape, a giant sea snake that would swallow the whole boat if they were given reason to think there was fish on it.

"I let you take me one time and we didn't catch anything." Kitty said.

"That was just a bad day, too soon after the rain." I replied.

"And it was a really long drive for nothing." She said.

"Yeah it was kind of, but we got to see more of the island though, outside the city." I said.

"Yeeeeeaaaaaahhh, I guess it wasn't that bad." She relented.

"It was a nice break." I said.

"Yeah." Kitty agreed.

"Kitty why are you still sitting there? Go get their orders!" Phoebe said.

"Ok ok." Kitty replied before getting up to do her job.

"You know this place is small enough they could just tell you their orders at the counter." I said wanting to continue to reminisce.

"Yeah, but this is nicer for them." Phoebe replied.

"Oh, ok." I relented.

"Here's some paper and a pen to write them down on Kitty." Phoebe said.

"I have to write?" Kitty asked.

"Not really, but if it helps you." Phoebe said.

"I'd rather not." Kitty replied.

"Ok." Phoebe said as Kitty headed towards the now occupied tables.

"Ok what do you want to eat I guess?" She asked IceLeomon and his wives.

"Dhogora." Iceleomon said.

"There's no way they have that fish here, silly Lee Lee." Elly said.

It was a fish commonly farmed on his wives' home planet, that Chally had experience farming oddly enough. Obviously it wasn't available on this world however.

"Yeah I think we only have what's on the board up there." Kitty said.

"One of these days I wish to have it again." IceLeomon replied.

"I know how you feel." Kitty replied. "Anyway you just want the fish sticks too? I don't know what fish they're made out of but maybe they're good?"

-meanwhile across the dining area-

"So are you coming with us overseas or staying here?" Saphy asked Mari and Emika.

"Well I really shouldn't blow my identity for my brother's sake." Mari said.

"I guess I could go, I don't have any family here. You guys are the closest thing and I barely know you." Emika said.

"Well you should both come, it's probably going to be boring here for a while. Just waiting for more orders that may or may not come." Saphy said.

"Well I don't know, we'll see." Mari replied.

"Hey, sorry about earlier, but have you decided what you want to eat yet?" Kitty asked.

"Sorry for what?" Mari asked.

"Oh it's nothing don't worry about it." Emika said.

"I wandered off to go clean myself when I was supposed to be standing guard and she walked in on Phoebe and Cj having sex." Kitty replied.

"Really?" Saphy asked with a laugh.

"You don't need to tell them that you idiot!" Emika exclaimed, equal amounts embarrassed and annoyed.

"Well I'm sorry still. Can I just get your order?" Kitty asked shyly.

"This just happen today?" Saphy asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied in shame.

"Stop telling her about it." Emika said.

"Does she have boobs?" Mari asked.

"I don't know I looked away as soon as I figured out what they were doing. Can we not talk about this anymore please?" Emika replied.

"yeah they." Kitty began to answer.

"Kitty no, don't answer that." Saphy cut her off.

"nnnng god dammit, sorry, I'll just take your orders when you're ready." Kitty replied with her head down in shame, frustrated with herself.

"Saphy is it true though that they've slept with everyone that's not already in a relationship?" Emika asked.
"Pretty much everyone but you two yes. They even got Violet and Lilly before they decided they wanted to be exclusive. " Saphy replied.

"That's crazy." Emika said.

"Not really we had a lot of traveling to do in the digital world, we were stuck on the bus for hours at a time, and the ship before that, there was really nothing better to do. We could play cards, watch the same few movies over and over again for the thousandth time, or have an orgy." Saphy explained.

"Yeah we had some fun times." Kitty said.

"Are we expected to sleep with them too?" Emika asked.

"At this point there's so many of us that have that yeah it is kind of expected, but it's not like you're required to do so to be a part of this group. So don't feel like you're being pressured or anything. And really it's all Phoebe's doing. I love her but, honestly I think Cj is a better tamer. You see how close he is with her and Kitty? I wish I could be half that close with her." Saphy said.

"How long has she been your tamer?" Emika asked.

"About as long as Cj has been Kitty's, but has anyone told you about the portal incident yet?" Saphy asked.

"No." Emika replied.

"Henry had the bright idea to blow up a portal that this bad guy called indramon had made, portal blew up, sucked us all in and sent us to different planets. Cj found Kitty first, and they've been together for almost 100 years now, but only lovers for 20 as Cj had married Ronnie by the time they found each other again. They hooked up after she died. Anyway I was separated from everyone for almost all of that time. So their relationship is way ahead of ours. And she's been so involved with CJ and Kitty that's she's not really paying much attention to me. That's the jist of it. " Saphy explained.

"I see." Emika replied.

"Have you ever talked to her about it? I mean now is as good as any time because she's kind of all by herself in the kitchen there." Mari said.

"But if you get that close to her Cj might get jealous." Kitty said.

"You realize that would only mean that you get more time alone with him. And I just wanna be half that close, not married like you three are." Saphy pointed out.

"Oh…ok." She replied with a smile.

"Kitty you're supposed to take their orders not talk to them." Phoebe harped on her.

"I'm talking to them about what they want to order." Kitty replied across the dining area.

"And we've talked about it a lot before we just haven't spent much time together today at all." Saphy said.

"Well now she's here and you can, so go." Mari recommended.

-at the table closest to the counter where Zari and I were still apparently having our "date"-

"So um, you've been working with her for the past few days, do you think Kitty could have a serious acting career after all this?" I asked.

"What? I have no idea. I mean people seem to like her and it's not just because of her powers, but, I don't know. But, she's going to be famous after this no matter what happens you know? She's the only one on tv in this entire country. But I don't know enough about the industry to tell you whether she has any actual acting talent or not." Zari replied.

"Yeah, it's not really my industry either." I replied.

"Is she giving you a hard time?" I asked.

"No, she's been doing allright. We've gone over what she can say and what she can't say and it's been working out so far. Have you watched her show that much?" Zari said.

"I've seen parts of it on my phone. But you know we're not sure when she's using her powers or not so." I said.

"You don't watch your own wife's show?" She asked with a laugh.

"I've been watching it every day for the past 20 years, there's nothing I could learn about her from it that I don't already know. And the way things are right now I don't have time to just watch tv anyway." I said.

"Anyway you wanna see if we can drive Pheebles insane?" I asked mischievously.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Zari asked.

"Oh, she won't hurt me, she loves me." I said.

"Hey Pheebles" I said as Zari and I leaned against the counter.

"What?"

"Is my burger ready yet?" I teased.

"Still defrosting." She replied.

"Still?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied.

"Can you check?" I teased.

"I can see it from here it's still going." She replied.

"Can I check?"

"No." she replied.

"What if I crawl over the counter and check?" I asked.

"I will push you out." She replied which meant she would have to use her powers.

"but I might get hurt." I teased.

"What if I just go in there and tickle you until you let me stay?" I teased.

"Nooooooo." She refused with a laugh.

"Her reactions are so adorable." I said to Zari.

"They are." Zari agreed.

"Pheebles, Zari and I are getting kind of bored." I said.

"I can tell." She teasingly replied.

"You sure I can't go in there?"

"No you can't." She said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I can do this on my own, don't worry about it."

"I know you can do it I just wanna help." I said.

"No." She refused.

"Why not? You know I can cook some things too." I said.

"Not today. No no no not today. She said in a completely adorable sing-songy manner.

"Quit talking to me and go back to your date with Zari. You're gonna make her upset if you keep giving me all the attention." She said after she was done being a little cutey.

"I'm perfectly fine with this." Zari chimed.

"I'm kind of out of things to talk about with Zari." I said.

"Well then take her back behind the other side of the boardwalk and play with her." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles!" I said, annoyed that she said that out loud.

"What? Our friends are all the way over there, they can't hear us, and your burgers will be ready by the time you get back. Kitty can stand guard once she brings the orders in." Phoebe said.

"I got everyone's orders." Kitty said after she came up and affectionately hugged me from behind.

"3 fishsticks, 2 burgers, and a hotdog." Kitty said.

"Does that include yours or no?" Phoebe asked.

"No. Did I do good?" Kitty said.

"Yeah that'll do fine, ok, now you can have a little break and sit by them again until I have some food ready to hand out." Phoebe replied.

"Or you could just stand here and help us in our quest to bug Pheebles." I said.

"Awe Cj why you gotta be buggin me so much?" Phoebe cutely asked.

"Because you're a cutey and I love you and you won't let me help you with this so I absolutely must bug you." I said, playfully.

"Um Pheebles can I talk to you for a bit? Digimon to tamer?" Saphy asked as she approached the counter.

"Yeah if you just want to come in here and talk that's fine." Phoebe said.

"Oh you'll let her in there." I said.

"We need to spend more time together anyway. It's almost noon and I've been with you and Kitty all day so far." Phoebe said.

"Right." Saphy replied.

"Ok." I said.

"So if you don't mind returning to your date with Kitty and Zari. If you want you can take them behind the boardwalk and have some fun again, your food should be done by the time you get back." Phoebe said as she got a condom out of her purse and slid it across the counter to me.

"I go on guard first then you go on guard?" Kitty suggested.

"Sounds like a deal sister." Zari replied.

"Really you two?" I asked, always expecting them to be the more sensible ones, Zari especially.

"Well come on, there's nothing to lose." Zari replied.

"And I totally feel guilty for blue balling you earlier." Kitty said.

"You going to say no and make all three of your ladies sad?" Phoebe asked.

"Ok fine let's go." I said, not seeing much choice in the matter.

"This is the last round before tonight though. We really should find better ways to keep us entertained." I said once we left the dining area.

"That's fine with me I just wanted the one round with you anyway. To make my viraraship official." Zari said.

"Yeah and I like just sitting with you and snuggling." Kitty said.

"We'll even help keep Phoebe from selling you out again if you want." Zari said.

"That's what I'm counting on you two for." I said.

"Allright then." Zari replied.

"Ok Kitty Kat you wait here, Zari come on baby." I said once we had made it to the other side of the boardwalk.

We got dressed and headed back to the dining area.

"It was allright, what about you?" I asked.

"I missed cooking." She replied.

"Food ready yet?" I asked.

"It won't be long now, everything is cooking." Phoebe said.

"Having a good talk with Saphy?" I asked.

"Yeah, just teaching her some things, and talking about you, nothing too exciting." She replied.

"I'm nothing too exciting?" I asked.

"No, I just, well, I love you, but you're kind of a buzzkill sometimes." She said.

"And you're kind of crazy sometimes." I said.

"Fair enough." She agreed.

"Anyway you want her in there but not me?" I asked.

"Don't think about it too much, you know Saphy and I are just friends with benefits I guess, and you and I are lovers." She replied.

"I'm not jealous I'm just like, no actually I am kind of jealous." I said.

"Well don't be you just got to play with Kitty and Zari." Phoebe said.

"I know but, you know who you are to me." I said.

"The best, first, and most precious of all your wives?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, all 2 of them." I said.

"Cj come on and sit with us already." Kitty whined as she hugged me tight.

"Kitty baby you're not my only wife relax." I said.

"We're going to have the next few weeks alone together, so go ahead and give her all the attention you can before we leave tomorrow." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, you really are just bugging me." Phoebe said.

"Oh baby, I just like talking to you." I said.

"I do too, but I have like half a dozen things cooking right now, so he's all yours Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, come on!" Kitty said as she jerked me towards the table.

"Ok, ok, don't pull so hard." I replied.

"But when I get a break I want to snuggle too." Phoebe said.

"No problem sister." Kitty happily replied.

I sat by her at the table and we snuggled while Zari sat across from us.

"Food not ready yet?" Zari asked.

"It's cooking now." I said.

"So we could have spent more time snuggling naked on the sand?" Kitty asked.

"Not enough more to be worth getting upset about. Besides we can still snuggle here." I said.

"With our clothes on." Kitty replied.

"True, but…." I struggled to think of any counter argument.

"But what?" Zari asked.

"I don't know I can't think of anything she might be right on this one." I said, causing Kitty to laugh at me.

"Kitty the food is ready. Go take it to everyone. And give everybody a bunch of sodas, since I don't know what all these are even." Phoebe said as she started setting paper plates with food on them on the counter as well as a bunch of various soda cans.

"Ok." Kitty replied before she let go of me and got up.

The rest of our friends arrived as she handed out the food.

"Well what's going on here?" Henry asked.

"We opened up a restaurant." I said, jokingly.

"Really?" Henry asked.

"Just for today, so we can all have lunch." Phoebe clarified.

"Is the food any good?" Claire asked.

"Best we can get around here right now. Kitty will take your orders in a bit once she's done handing stuff out. So just take a seat until then." Phoebe said.

"Oh you got Saphy in there too?" Henry asked.

"Hi." Saphy shyly waved.

"Yeah, she's mostly just watching me cook things." Phoebe said.

"Hey Cj can we sit here?" Lussy asked.

"That's Kitty's chair." I replied.

"Oh." Lussy replied.

"You can all have the table next to ours." Zari said.

"I guess that will have to be good enough." Lussy replied.

"You got something you want to say?" I asked.

"Um, we're all just thinking about you and tonight." Lussy said.

"Don't get your hopes up." Zari said.

"Awwe come on." Lussy begged.

"Please?" Kiera begged as well.

"Since when do you get assay in it anyway?" Lussy asked Zari.

"Chally you doing ok despite the heat?" I asked, ignoring them.

"I'll even join if you want." Selly said.

"If I go in the water every few minutes it's not that bad." She replied.

"Good." I said.

"I just hope I'm not too tired when we get to the hotel though." She said.

"The hotel will be air-conditioned." I said.

"Yeah but, yeah." She replied.

"Maybe you could do it here and then if you can't later it will be fine?" Lussy suggested.

"That's not happening." Zari said.

"Why not? And why do you get any say?" Lussy asked.

"It's too hot anyway." Chally replied.

"What if you did it in the water?" Lussy asked.

"Too many waves." Chally replied.

"Here guys I got our food." Kitty said as she set some plates down on the table.

"Awesome." I replied.

"And a bunch of sodas." She said as she sat an armful of various soda cans down as well.

"Why so many?" I asked.

"I don't know what is what so just try them all I guess." Phoebe said.

"Awwe, I see." I replied.

"What do you want newbies?" Kitty asked.

"To eat?" Lussy asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Umm, what is there?" Lussy asked.

"Everything we have is on that sign over there." Kitty said.

"Oh, ok." Lussy replied.

"What's a hot dog?" Selly asked.

"Oh my god they eat dogs here? Aren't they supposed to be adorable, like neblongs?" Lussy asked.

"No, apparently here they're made out of something called a borslo, it's probably some kind of cattle or something. Assuming they make theirs the way I'm familiar with, they take the scrap meat from that, and they mash it up and put it in a tube either made out of intestine or some kind of edible casing with some spices. It's like a sausage but smaller." I said.

"Oh, ok." Lussy replied.

"And what's an Enlander?" Lussy asked.

"Um, no idea, couldn't find anything called that in there, local name for hamburger maybe?" I asked.

"What are they made out of here?" Selly asked.

"I don't know, hold on a sec." I said before taking a bite.

It was not the best cheeseburger I ever had, somewhere between mcdonalds and my old high school's cafeteria, just a few steps above the bottom of the barrel, wasn't really Pheebles fault as it was cooked well, it's just the ingredients were subpar.

"Probably some kind of four legged cattle. They're not that good to be honest as far as burgers go, but they'll do." I said.

"And the fish sticks?" Lussy asked.

"Exactly what it says on the tin, they're sticks of fish meat." I said.

"I mean are they any good?" Lussy asked.

"I like them." Kitty said as she ate hers.

"Kitty why are you sitting there? Go take everyone else's orders!" Phoebe chastised her.

"We're waiting for the newbies to decide what they want." I replied.

"Mhm." Kitty said with her mouth full.

"Oh, ok then." Phoebe replied.

"I'm going to need more than this, these are good." Kitty said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Well just wait until everyone else that wants them gets them first." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Yeah I've definitely had better sandwiches than this." Zari said, also unimpressed with the quality of the food.

"It's better than nothing though." I said.

"Yeah." She agreed.

"I'll just go with the fish sticks then." Lussy said.

"Yeah, me too." Selly replied.

"Yep." Kiera agreed.

"Yeah." Chally agreed.

"All of you?" Kitty asked.

"Since you think they're good." Lussy replied.

They all nodded in unison.

"Ok." Kitty agreed.

"PHEEBLES WE NEED FOUR MORE FISH STICKS!" Kitty yelled.

"Well come get them then." Phoebe said.

"Already?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah I just made the whole bag. I just have to plate them up. And then you can take everyone else's orders." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"Let's see what this fizzmeister stuff is." I said as I opened the can. It was a dark red can like Dr. Pepper but with "Fizzmeister" on it in a white font in a black box with a somewhat ornate design. The taste was instantly recognizable as a kind of cola, whether it was superior to coke or pepsi is still unknown to me as I didn't have one to compare it to at the time and it had been so long since I had either of those I couldn't remember what they were like either.

"Any good?" Zari asked.

"It's definitely a cola, it's allright. You wanna try?" I replied as I offered her the can.

"Too much sugar." She replied after trying it.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Hey wait you two!" Phoebe yelled.

"What?" I asked.

"That looks fun to record. Here Kitty when you're done setting those plates out give them the camera." Phoebe said.

And so that happened and after Kitty took every one else's orders and brought them their food as well well, we started recording ourselves taste testing the local soda brands.

-about a minute later on camera-

"Ok well this is Cj, as Phoebe is cooking food for everyone, here's our lovely waitress beside us, Miss Kitty Kat who is now my second wife, show em your bracelet baby, anyway if your confused, this is what she looks like in her human form, and this across from us is our new vir-friend Zari." I said, not wanting the newbies to know yet.

"She's our virara now." Kitty blurted out.

"Wait what?" Lussy asked.

"Lussy quiet we're recording." I said.

"Kitty don't say that." Phoebe said.

"Wait I wasn't supposed to say that was I?" Kitty asked.

"No you weren't." I said sternly.

"But she said." Lussy continued

"That's not what this video is supposed to be about." I said, cutting her off.

"rrr." Lussy grumbled.

"Anyway today we are at the beach, trying out this world's variety of sodas. So yeah we tested this fizzmeister stuff before Phoebe decided we should record this, and it's basically some type of cola. And it's not bad but a bit sugary." I said.

"Can I try? I think I'm thirsty!" Kitty asked.

"Yeah of course baby." I said as I handed her the can.

"She thinks she's thirsty?" Zari asked.

"Well don't drink all of it the newbies might want some." I said as she started chugging it gluttonously.

"We have our own can." Kiera said.

"Oh, ok then." I replied.

"Sorry all the fish sticks made me thirsty." Kitty said.

"That's fine. Did you like it?" I replied.

"It's pretty good." She replied.

"Allright, so I guess we'll move on." I said.

"Can I just have it?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah go ahead it's yours." I replied since Zari and I already tried it and it was time to move on.

"Thanks so much." She happily replied.

"Could she get thirsty in her other form?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, she drinks stuff she likes the flavor of for fun, she didn't need it, especially all the booze." I said.

"No, not like I was just feeling. It was like I had to drink it, and it felt good to do so as it went down, it's weird." She replied.

"Welcome to being human." I said as I gave her a hug.

Unfortunately this was the tip of the iceberg of what would lead to several more horrific implications later on that I myself will spare you from, but your very own imagination probably won't.

"Ok, next can, Jimmybeer, hopefully this is root beer and not beer beer. Or maybe it's something completely different, who knows." I said as I held the can up to the camera. It was a white can with the outline of a young boy on it holding up a soda can that amusingly somewhat resembled the mascot of the fallout series of videogames.

"Yep it is, definitely a run of the mill root beer and not alcoholic." I said.

It was most similar to the Mug brand of root beer, mild flavor, very creamy and frothy, possibly too much so for some. Not much to say about it, it was root beer with a funny name and amusing logo.

"It's too sweet. Not enough kick." Zari said after taking a sip.

"Yeah it's definitely on the creamy side of things." I agreed.

"Next up, a sky blue colored can that vaguely reminds me of the wrappers of vanilla tootsie rolls. White old timey font read "Larralaine's Liquid Candy, Est 1929", which, according to this world's calendar, means it has been around for almost 90 years. "

What's a tootsie roll?" Zari asked.

"It's a little piece of chewy soft candy, it's usually chocolate flavored and comes in an iconic brown wrapper with red stripes, but there's a vanilla version too that comes in a blue wrapper like this can. I never really cared for them, but that's what this reminds me of." I explained.

"I see." Zari replied.

I opened up the can and took a sip.

"Ok this is literally carbonated sugar water with the slightest and I mean slightest tinge of fruit punch, um yeah I'm gonna pass on this one." I said as I handed the can over to Zari.

"People drink this?" She asked, surprised and not impressed at all with the flavor.

"Can I try?" Kitty asked.

"You can just have the whole can." I said as Zari handed it over to her.

"It's not bad, it's kind of sweet. The other one was better." She said as she set the can down after taking a sip.

"Yeah it was." I said.

"Now we got this chocolate brown can, silver letters, Carbochoc, carbonated chocolate beveridge. So chocolate soda apparently." I said before opening the can and taking a sip.

"This just taste like damned good cream soda and maybe a bit of Guinness. Best one so far, hands down." I said.

"Really?" Zari said.

"Yeah I would totally drink this on the regular if they had a zero sugar version." I said as I offered it to her.

"Ehh, it's kind of weird." Zari said.

"How so?" I asked.

"It's almost bitter, in the after taste." She said.

"Yeah but it's so creamy up to that point." I said.

"Can I try it?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, go on." Zari said as she offered her the can.

"This is mine now." She decided after taking a sip.

"Oh really? You're just going to steal it?" I asked.

"They have more behind the counter if you want your own." Kitty said.

"Eh we still got others to try. We might just take a few boxes with us and get it reverse engineered when we get home, go into the soda business, make millions. No such thing as interuniversal copyright laws yet." I said.

"Anyway, now we have this purple can, Mesuzie, weird name, just says fruit soda, no specific fruit just fruit. So another hopefully less horrible fruit punch maybe?" I said before opening the can and taking a sip.

"Yep, way better fruit punch, not as good as that choco stuff though." I said.

"We stealing this one too?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, maybe we'll just collect the best sodas from our travels and steal them all and make like the ultimate soda company. It's like the lamest evil plan ever, but money is money." I said.

"Yeah, definitely." Zari agreed somewhat jokingly.

"What are you going to do with all that money?" Kitty asked.

"Spend it on you three pretty much." I said.

"Anyway now we have a hot pink can with a strawberry on it. Or as they're apparently known here, a seedberry which I guess is because they have seeds on the outside maybe? Anyway it's just named Fuchette's seedberry soda, could have some fun with that brand name probably." I said.

"No way, it's fooshays, its gotta be." Zari said.

"You think so? We'll have to ask somebody." I replied as I opened the can and took a sip.

"Oh! fuck it's strawberry soda." I said jokingly.

"There's more." Zari said.

"Oh! fuck its blue raspberry and oh! fuck its grape!" I said jokingly.

"We got all the fuck its." Kitty said with a laugh.

"Well three of them atleast I guess those are pretty straightforward with what they taste like." I said.

"Could you imagine the commercial though? You got like some teens in a haunted house and then all of a sudden it just pops out of the closet and one of them is like OH FUCK IT'S GRAPE and then they run out screaming or something." I said jokingly.

"You're supposed to drink it not run away from it." Zari replied with a laugh.

"Nothing really scary about it at all. It's just a can, with fruit on it." Kitty said.

"Well maybe they could draw a scary face on it or something in the commercial." I said.

"Maybe." Kitty replied.

"Fangs and googly eyes?" Zari suggested.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Ok any left after that?" I asked.

"You don't want to try these other fuck its?" Zari asked.

"Eh ok, definitely blue raspberry, definitely grape." I replied as I quickly tried them both and passed them to her.

"Any left?" I asked.

"This green one." Kitty said as she passed an unopened bright green can to me.

"What's the green one? Lemon-lime maybe?" I said.

"It said, atumic blast." Kitty read.

"Atomic?" I asked.

"Yeah." She replied as I looked over the can. Atomic blast in black letters and what seemed to be some sort of alternate radioactive symbol.

"I'm guessing lemon lime. Or maybe it's radioactive and Phoebe will get mad at me for getting hurt again." I said.

"By the way I'm not sure if the cream can fix radiation poisoning." Zari said, jokingly.

"Well that's very reassuring Zari, anyway here goes nothing." I said before opening the can and taking a sip and instantly regretting it.

"Yeah, no that is not lemon lime it's just awful. It's like, pickles or something." I said.

"What? Let me try." Zari said.

"Ok, but you were warned." I replied as I handed her the can.

"I'm aware." She replied before trying it herself, the look on her face said it all.

"Yeah, it's definitely an acquired taste. I think I could get used to it, but yeah, it might take a while. " She said after trying it.

Then Kitty tried it and immediately spit it out.

"Nno." She said as she sat the can back down.

And I've seen this girl chug straight splacht extract before.

"No?" I asked.

"This stuff is just yucky." She said, cutely.

"Is it any better than these fish sticks?" Lussy asked.

"No, not at all, fish sticks are yummy." Kitty said.

"I've had better." Lussy said.

"Same, but still, yummy." Kitty said.

"I disagree." Lussy said.

"That's ok." Kitty replied.

"We have a can of it here too." Kiera said as she opened another one.

"Egh, no. The fish sticks are definitely better." She said after trying it.

"Hey Pheebles!" I called out to my beloved.

"What?" She asked.

"Come here and try this stuff." I said, just wanting to see her reaction.

"What is she even doing in there? Everyone has their food." Zari pointed out.

"Baby you gonna come eat with us or are you just going to eat in there with Saphy?" I asked.

"I'm coming I'm just cleaning some things up. Here Saphy can you plate the rest of the food and set in on the counter in case anybody wants seconds?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah I'll take care of it if you want to go out there." Saphy said.

"Thankyou Saphy." Phoebe said before she left the kitchen building then came over and sat across from Kitty.

"So, are you really their new virara now? Who's next?" Lussy asked Zari.

"That's a discussion for another time, if ever." I said.

"So you wanted me to try this green one?" Phoebe asked, getting back on subject.

"Yeah." I said.

"Ok. She said as she took a sip and then made a funny face and swallowed it.

"It tastes like puke." She replied.

"I'm not really sure what it tastes like." I said.

"Like puke." She insisted.

"Are the ingredients listed?" Zari asked. As Phoebe tasted the others Kitty hadn't finished yet out of curiousity.

"Um yeah actually." I said as I took a closer look at the can.

"Yellow extract, citric acid." I said.

"They put color in it?" Kitty asked.

"No yellows are like big nomel berries, I saw them at that store when I stole food for everyone." Phoebe said.

"Ok so there's some lemon in it and a bunch of chemicals I don't understand, sugar, of course, and then pickle juice, there is pickle juice in this soda. And green number 27, that's your color Kitty Kat." I said.

"I'm not green." Kitty replied, confused.

"No I mean that's the stuff they put in to color it." I said.

"Oh." She said.

"So it's lemons and pickle juice?" Zari asked.

"I guess so, and chemicals that are hopefully not toxic, and Lotoe fruit extract, whatever that is." I said.

"So what's a pickle?" Lussy asked.

"It's a cucumber that's been pickled. I think if it's left in salt water for long enough it turns into one." I said.

"Oh ok." She said.

"Do you need to know what a cucumber is?" I asked.

"Some kind of vegetable?" Lussy asked.

"Yeah it's just kind of big, long, and green. Universal standard flavor type 9." I said.

"And please don't say anything I don't want my baby boy to hear, we're still recording." Phoebe cut in sensing some sort of dick joke.

"Understood." Lussy replied.

"You mean Cj?" Kiera asked.

"No, my son that we're going to show these videos too eventually." Phoebe explained.

"Oh, right." Kiera replied.

"You didn't hear the whole part about the fuck its?" I asked.

"Well, he'll be old enough to hear it someday." Phoebe said.

"Just no dick jokes though?" I asked, somewhat jokingly.

"Cj!" She adorably scolded me as everyone else laughed.

"You goobus!" Lussy said as she laughed.

"Can I get more fish sticks now?" Kitty asked, innocently.

"Yeah go on if there's any left up there." I said.

"There is, I made too many." Phoebe said.

"Yay!" Kitty replied as she got up to go to the counter just as Saphy was leaving the kitchen.

"I got everything on the counter." Saphy announced.

"Good, we'll finish cleaning it all up and close it later once everyone leaves." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Saphy replied.

"You guys sure you wanna stay here all day?" I mean it's been fun, but this town has so many other things to see." Henry said as he and Claire came over.

"I'm staying her until this evening." Phoebe replied.

"Which means I'm staying, and Kitty is probably staying." I added.

"Mhm." Kitty nodded in agreement, mouth full again. She put all the remaining plates of fish sticks on one plate to make a single plate piled high with fish sticks for herself.

"I'm staying too." Zari chimed.

"Me too." Saphy said.

"It's probably not too safe for just the two of you to go." Phoebe said.

"That's why I'm asking." Henry said.

"What else do you think is out there?" Lussy asked.

"We might see a movie or something." Henry said.

"They probably won't be open." Phoebe said. "Maybe later this afternoon we could break in and watch one. I don't know what time they expect you to be back on base. Besides you'll probably be here longer than we are. Did you ask Iceleomon, Tabby, or the flower girls yet?"

"I just thought we would ask the biggest group first." Henry said.

"Today we go where Cj goes." Lussy said as the other newbies nodded, even Selly, who seemed unsure about whether she wanted in or not and had been the only one that had expressed interest in finding someone else. Honestly they were all beautiful and I wished they all would. I was still on the fence with Zari.

"You like me that much huh?" I asked.

"Well we haven't seen you or Phoebe in a while so we all miss you both." Lussy said.

"That's nice. But remember I'm his only legal wife at the moment." Phoebe said.

"We like you too." Lussy said.

"Should Charley really be hearing this?" I asked.

"Well if whatever this is holds up by the time we make it home he's going to know anyway." Phoebe said.

"Ok well, if you're all staying here, we'll go see if anyone else wants to go." Henry said.

"Have fun with your harem." He said jokingly before leaving.

"Not really sure what they are." I replied.

"You girls sure you don't want to put more time or thought into this? You know he can't give you all the attention you deserve." Claire said.

"Yeah but anyone else we fall in love with will die eventually and I like these two." Lussy said.

"You don't know that for sure, we might find a way to make others immortal." I said.

"As often as Cj keeps getting hurt he still might die." Phoebe said, half-jokingly.

"I just think you're the best option for us at this time." Lussy said.

"Yeah unless you and Henry maybe want to play around." Selly added.

"Hey, camera is still rolling." Phoebe scolded her.

"Yeah, no we don't do that. That's their thing, not ours." Claire replied.

"You coming?" Henry asked as he had been waiting for her for a bit.

"Yeah, they're content with their choices." Claire said.

"Maybe Emika knows how to make people immortal?" I asked.

"Yeah if you want to go talk to her." Phoebe said.

"It could be awkward if we went." I said.

"Oh she's gotta be over it by now." Phoebe said.

"Over what?" Lussy asked.

"Cj stop the camera." Phoebe said.

I stopped the camera.

"Kitty messed up and she sort of walked in on us having sex earlier today." Phoebe said.

"mhbmhmhmubhmhm." Kitty tried to talk with her mouth closed and full as she gorged herself on fish sticks, but failed horribly as nobody understood her.

"Really? I mean we were all suspicious about why you left but seriously?" Lussy asked.

"Why do you think I like beaches so much? It's one of my favorite memories from when Cj and I were younger than you." Phoebe said.

"Awwwe Pheebles." I said, enamored with her.

"Really?" Lussy asked.

"Yep." Phoebe replied.

"Are you just going to eat all the rest of the fish sticks?" Zari asked.

"I don't know I'm starting to feel weird now, and tired." Kitty said.

"You're probably full. Once again welcome to being human." I said.

"Can I sleep on your lap?" She asked me.

"How? There's no benches here and the chairs are bolted down you'll just fall into the gap between them." I said.

"You could sit on the floor." She suggested.

"I'm still talking with everyone." I said.

"Can I sit on your lap?" Phoebe asked.

"No because you're only asking just to get on Kitty's nerves." I said.

"No I'm not she just made me think about it. I would have asked earlier but you were still eating. And then I kind of just forgot." She replied.

"Just come over here." Kitty said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied before squeezing herself onto my lap.

"Why you want me over here anyway?" Phoebe asked.

"Because now I can snuggle my sister too." She said.

"Awwe aren't you sweet today?" Phoebe asked.

"mmm." Kitty made cute sounds.

"But your breath stinks from all that fish." Phoebe said.

"I'm sorry." Kitty replied.

"Here, I got some minty gum." Phoebe replied as she started to dig around in her purse.

"Some what?" Kitty asked.

"Here, it's gum, chew it." She said as she got a packet of it out of her purse.

"Ok." Kitty replied, confused.

"Where'd you get that?" I asked.

"At the store where we got our bikinis, I had to replace a lot of things that were ruined in the train crash." Phoebe said.

"It tastes cold…weird." She said after chewing on it for a bit.

"How long am I supposed to keep chewing on this?" She asked.

"Until you stop tasting the cold, then you just spit it out into the trash." Phoebe said.

"Ok." She replied.

"You think the newbies need some too? They all had fish too." Kitty replied.

"I'll go see if they want any." Phoebe replied.

"I'll take one." Lussy said.

"Yeah." Selly said.

"I got enough for all of you, here just take the box." Phoebe said.

"How tired are you really Kitty Kat? You wanna just go to your towel and lay down for a bit?" I asked.

"That sounds nice." She said as she threw it over to them to divide amongst themselves.

"Well um, I guess we could go talk to Emika then, maybe say hi to Mari too and Tabby." Lussy said.

"Might as well since they are all at the same table over there." I said.

"The new newbies." Phoebe said jokingly.

"Pretty much yeah, alongside the flower girls." I replied as I affectionately held her close.

The flower girls were sitting at a table by themselves and made little effort to speak to anyone else, though they always seemed happy together. Kitty talked them in to ordering fish sticks, which they seemed to be enjoying enough to keep eating. They looked like twins in their human forms, except Lilly's hair was pink and violet's was more of a purple. They were both pretty cute, there was no denying that.

"Ok then come on girls." Lussy said as she gave Phoebe her gum packet back.

"What the heck is this stuff? It's all bubbly?" Emika asked them as they approached, having apparently just tried soda for the first time.

"It's soda, they put gas in the water and it makes it fizz." Lussy explained.

"What?" Emika asked. "Is it alcoholic?"

"No, I don't think so. I doubt it." Lussy replied.

"Ok, I thought it was like a new future alcohol or something." Emika said.

"No, that's not what the bubbles are." Lussy replied.

"That's a relief." Emika replied.

All the newbies then got up and went over to the table the new newbies were sitting at, leaving just the five of us.

"Ok Saphy let's go get this place cleaned and closed up." Phoebe said as she got up

"Will you nap with me?" Kitty asked.

"I'm not even tired, but I can't say no when you ask like that." I replied.

"Well go to your towel and snuggle, I'll see you in a few minutes I guess." Phoebe said as she headed back into the building with Saphy.

"I guess I'll go talk to the new newbies with the newbies." Zari said.

" Maybe we could play volleyball against them, 4 on 4?" Zari asked.

"Maybe after Kitty wakes up from her nap, if it's still daytime by then." I said, teasingly.

"I won't sleep that long." Kitty said.

-meanwhile-

"Hey Emika!" Lussy said as her and the other newbies gathered around her and Mari.

"Is this some kind of initiation?" Emika asked.

"No, that's at the hotel tonight, for both of you, if you wanna come. Right now we just want to know if you have the power to make others immortal." Lussy said slyly.

"Only at the cost of my own life." Emika replied.

"Oh, oh well, guess we're sticking with Cj then." Lussy replied.

"You're all in love with him?" Emika asked.

"We all like him, we're not in love with him." Lussy said.

"Speak for yourself." Chally replied.

"It's more of a friends with benefits kind of thing." Selly said.

"Yeah, it helps pass the time and keep the group close." Lussy explained.

"Yeah, it's just kind of fun." Tabby said.

"You're going too?" Mari asked.

"If they'll let me." Tabby said.

"You love him?" Kiera asked Chally.

"Kind of." Chally nervously replied.

"We're like their own little harem." Lussy said.

"So, have you done it before?" Lussy asked.

"Done it?" Emika asked.

"It's strictly forbidden, all space police officers must remain chaste." Mari explained.

"What?" Emika asked.

"Well you're not with them anymore." Lussy said.

"True." Mari replied.

"So why don't you both come along, it will be fun." Lussy said.

"I'll think about it." Mari said.

"Seriously?" Emika asked.

"Well why not besides, where else are we going to go?" Mari asked.

"There's nothing to worry about, we're all going to be there with you. And if you get there and don't actually want to do anything we're more than capable of keeping Phoebe off of you." Lussy said.

"Don't you mean Cj?" Emika asked.

"No it's definitely Phoebe you have to worry about, Cj will leave you alone if you ask." Lussy replied.

Kitty and I held hands as we left the dining area and headed back to her towel, back to where we started, where we started snuggling until she got comfortable enough she dozed off in my arms. And I just held her there and stroked her hair because I loved my sweet Kitty Kat. Phoebe got done closing up the restaurant and joined us several minutes later.

"Wow, she is out already huh?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I wish I could fall asleep that fast." I said.

"You want my other arm?" I asked her.

"Well duh." She said as she laid down and got in on the snuggling too.

"You think this is really going to work with Zari as our virara now or are we going too fast?" I asked.

"I don't know, we'll find out tonight. I might spend the night with her since you'll be with Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

"What do you wanna do about the newbies though?" She asked.

"I have no idea." I replied.

"Maybe you could stay here and get to know them better and I'll just go overseas." She said.

"No fuck that ! Where you go I go, I'm not losing you again." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Besides, you know if I stayed here I'm spending time with Kitty and Zari in the studio." I said.

"Yeah, that makes sense." She replied.

"So Zari is going to live with us now too?" I asked.

"Yeah, in our mansion when we get one." She replied.

"Are we ever going to go back to our house or are we just going to live on this world here?" I asked.

"Well we gotta go back to get our kids, but, other than that, I don't know." Phoebe said.

"It's going to take a long time to move everything over here." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"Maybe we'll have two mansions we'll have one here, and one next to our house which can then be the guest house." Phoebe said.

"I'm still waiting to see if we can even get the one." I said.

"We'll make it work don't worry. Just remember who your queen is." She said.

"I thought you hated the whole princess thing?" I asked.

"I do, but we're not going to rule over people we're going to live in a palace with our children and our harem of beautiful women." She said.

"I'd rather just not have the harem aside from you and Kitty and maybe Zari." I said.

"That doesn't mean you need to mess around with them all the time though Cj. It won't keep you drained. It'd just be nice to have the option when it's wanted and you know, it'd be nice to have friends to hang out with too." Phoebe said.

"I think we should just friendzone the newbies and stick with what we got right now." I said.

"Besides what is that going to teach Charley, that he needs all these women to be happy? And he's going be around all those girls as he grows up and I mean the way things are now he'd be the only boy in the whole house aside from me." I said.

"You'll have other sons. I'm sure of it." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but will I really have time to raise them right when I have all those other women to deal with?" I asked.

"Like we won't all help raise them together. I know Kitty is going to need a lot of help if you ever knock her up." Phoebe said.

"I don't know Pheebles, when does it end with you?" I asked.

"Whenever we run out of cute single girls that join our group." She said.

"I swear to god you're more girl crazy than I am and I'm straight, how the hell is that even possible?" I asked.

"Crazy gardevoir sex drive." She replied.

"That's not a gardevoir thing it's a you thing. Nina doesn't act like this, thankfully, your mother doesn't act like this, Melissa doesn't act like this, none of the other female gardevoirs I've met in the gardevoir city act like this, just you." I said.

"Yeah, well, maybe that's true, but you know you love me." She said cutely.

"Yeah, I do." I said.

"And its fun. and even if it falls apart and the newbies decide they want to leave for somebody else you'll always have me and Kitty and Zari probably, so there's really nothing to lose, so what's the problem?" Phoebe said.

"It just seems so crazy." I replied.

"Well if we're not going to do it here we can atleast have some fun at the hotel tonight right? I already booked the rooms we're going to have a sleepover at the least and it will be awkward if nothing happens. I don't expect you to marry them ever, but just keep them around as viraras you know? You'll never be as close to them as you are to Kitty and I, and I'm very aware of that." Phoebe asked.

"We'll see what happens, knowing you something probably will." I said.

"Right." Phoebe agreed.

"But don't I get the night alone with Kitty?" I asked.

"Yeah, after the party. I got three rooms all of them connected. The rest of us will just sleep in the other two." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

We laid there for about an hour until Kitty woke up.

"nnnnnnnggg, ok what did I miss?" She asked, tiredly.

"Not much we just stayed here with you." I asked.

"Awwwe, you didn't have to stay Pheebles." Kitty replied.

"Yeah well Cj didn't want to leave you and I didn't want to leave Cj." Phoebe said.

"Ok well what do you wanna do now?" Kitty tiredly replied.

"Well, honestly it's not too late for Cj to take that stamina drink, and then we can play with the newbies, and by then it'll be time to go to the hotel, and then he's yours the rest of the evening and into the night. What's not to like about that?" Phoebe said.

"Why do you still have that even? Do I need to dump it for you?" I asked.

"Dump it down your throat!" She said playfully.

"Pheebles we already agreed we're not doing anything like that with the newbies until we get to the hotel." I scolded her.

"I know, I just wanted to run it by Kitty." Phoebe said.

"It's a no." Kitty said.

"And get rid of that stuff, you know it can kill me." I said.

"No! It's not replaceable." She said.

"Ok fine whatever. But if you drug me with it without asking, I will never forgive you." I said.

"I would never." She replied.

"You have before." I said.

"I know but never again I promise." She said.

"Ok well what if we played volleyball with the newbies I don't know, maybe we could make them wrestle for who gets to be our next virara candidate?" Phoebe asked.

"What about Saphy? She's as inexperienced as they are and she wants to be closer to you. And it only makes sense because I brought Kitty in." I said.

"And we already get along pretty good." Kitty chimed.

"Yeah, but, she's not nearly as close to me as you are to Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but she's been with us longer than any of the newbies." I said.

"I guess you have a point." Phoebe said.

"Then who after Saphy?" Phoebe asked.

"No idea, honestly after Zari they all just feel like friends to me." I said.

"Maybe we'll just bring them all in at once." Phoebe said.

"Might as well for all the difference it makes since none of this is on paper." I said.

"Right." Phoebe replied.

"But what about my nights with Cj?" Kitty asked.

"Oh Kitty Kat you and I still get the most nights with him by far. They might not even get nights with him, just with us." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"You think Henry and Claire got anybody to see that movie with them?" I asked.

"I don't know, you want to see if they still wanna go?" Phoebe asked.

"Well if we're hanging out with the newbies at the hotel this evening, we might as well hang out with them now, maybe even IceLeomon and his wives can come along." I said.

"Like a couple's group date type thing?" She asked.

"Well two throuples and one couple." I said.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Because we're going to be away from them for a while as well." I said.

"Yeah. Except Iceleomon is coming with us." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah but his wives might stay behind again, who knows?" I asked.

"What do you think Kitty Kat? You want to go see a movie?" I asked.

"Sure." She replied.

"Ok Pheebles, can I have my phone?" I asked.

"Yeah let me find it in my purse." She said before looking through her things for it.

"I'll call the driver, you go talk to Henry and Claire, and see if Iceleomon and his wives want to come along too." I said.

"Right, I'll be right back. I need to talk to the newbies too about our pokémon and hand them our pokeballs." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

-a phone call and 2 short conversations later-

"So you want to go now?" Henry asked.

"Eh why not? We got all day to hang out. Our driver is on the way, the van should be here shortly." I said.

"I wonder what kind of movies they have here." Claire said.

"I don't know, we'll just have to see." Phoebe replied.

"Bulby, you're in charge of all the pokémon while we're gone alongside Bubba, wherever he is. Make sure nobody gets hurt or gets in a fight you know the drill." Phoebe said.

"Venusaur." Her pokémon said affirmatively. He was nearby watching over Mr. Cinders and Henry and Claire's starters as they played in the sand along with Blossom, Cubey, and Polli.

"We're just leaving them here?" I asked.

"They'll be fine, they've been looking after themselves all this time, that won't change just because we're not here. And they get along well with the newbies. And the newbies know how to return them if anything happens." Phoebe said.

"Allright then." I replied.

"So what are we doing?" IceLeomon asked.

"We're going to see a movie." Phoebe explained again.

Our driver arrived a few minutes later, we squeezed into the van and went off in search of a theatre, the closest one was just a few blocks away, and completely closed. So we went in via Phoebe bypassing the locks, and spent a few minutes looking around figuring out what movies they were playing and in what theatre, we also had to turn the A\C on as they had shut it off prior to evacuating. It was a small theatre so there were only 2 movies to choose from.

One titled Witch: The coven arises, and another "Bumby's Big Boogaloo Adventure, featuring a cutesy computer animated bee and definitely marketed towards kids. So we went with the witch movie. After that was decided, Phoebe and I found our way into the projector room and started it up.

According to our driver it was a sequel to another movie made a few years before simply titled "Witch" in which an orphaned girl discovers she has magical powers. A secret organization that is uncannily similar to the space police with very similar equipment finds out about her and tries to hunt her down to eliminate her for being abnormal. In reality they probably would have offered to recruit her as a hero officer. Anyway she spends most of the movie running from them, until she comes across another woman with powers like hers who uses them to hide her away in a strange house in the middle of the woods, protected by a magical cloak. This caused the space police to eventually give up the chase. The woman, revealed to be the girl's biological mother, promises to teach her about her ancestry and helps her develop her abilities further. It was revealed that the couple she thought were her parents actually adopted her as an infant and hadn't told her yet.

In the next movie set several years later, her mother has died offscreen of an unspecified illness, leaving the girl on her own once again. Going over letters and notes that the woman had received and written over the years she manages to locate several others of her kind and eventually forms a group of friends led by an elderly witch. They become the coven, an organization fighting the evil organization established in the last movie and it goes well until the elder figures out who the girl's mother is and it comes out the elder was responsible for poisoning her mother, leading to her death, all because they were in love with the same mortal man decades ago. In this universe witches were not supposed to date mortals and for some reason, despite both of them pursuing the same man, the elder was punished for it but the girl's mother never was. The man was the girl's father who had died in a car accident prior to her being born. The elder, stricken with grief, was not only jealous but partially blamed her father's death on her mother, even though it was an accident. This leads to her betraying the group by intentionally sending them on a suicidal mission without telling them before hand and nearly gets them all killed, but as expected the girl, who has been developing her powers the whole movie, not only succeeds at the mission, but fights back and eventually kills her.

All in all it was a decent movie that made me wish I could've seen the original.

"Hey Kitty the movie is over." I said, only to discover she was sleeping like a stone again.

"Come on baby wake up." I said again.

"I can wake her up." Phoebe volunteered.

"No, I got this." I said.

"You wanna go somewhere else now or just back to the beach." Henry asked.

"Well first I gotta wake Kitty up." I replied.

"We could just leave her here." Phoebe said, jokingly.

"No." I replied.

"Baby come on, we gotta go." I said as I gently shook her.

"Waaaaaaaaaa?" She said tiredly.

"You fell asleep during the movie you silly thing." I said, playfully.

"I was comfortable." She replied.

"Well come on, it's time to leave." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Ok so now what?" Henry asked.

"I don't know, what'd you wanna do for supper Pheebles?"

"It's still too early for that. We'll probably just get pizza at the hotel." She replied.

"What's going on at that hotel?" Henry asked.

"Nothing anyone outside of us three and the newbies need to know about." Phoebe said.

"Are we leaving now or can I go back to sleep?" Kitty asked.

"Oh, we're leaving don't sit back down." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Back to the beach?" Phoebe asked.

"I guess so, atleast so we can check on our pokemon." I said.

"Right, I hope my little Chikorita didn't miss me too much." Claire said.

"You think our pokemon could play volleyball?" Phoebe asked.

"Some of them maybe. Bulby might be pretty good.

"With his vines it'd almost be cheating." Phoebe said.

"Right." I replied.

"Anyway we still haven't gotten to play Iceleomon." Phoebe said.

"You sure that's a good idea?" I asked.

"From our game with them he tends to hit it way out of bounds, so, you can still win." Henry said.

"I'll get the hang of it eventually." IceLeomon replied.

"Well we gotta figure out who's the strongest throuple." Phoebe said.

"Even though we got beaten by the couple plus Zari." I said.

"Well we're better at it now." Kitty said.

"and they cheated because Zari isn't part of their thing she's part of ours." Phoebe said to me telepathically as we headed back out to the van.

"She wasn't until after that though." I thought.

"Well everyone knew she was next in line." Phoebe said.

"Whadayasay Lee Lee, you ready for a challenge?" Phoebe asked teasingly.

"For that volleyball game again?" Iceleomon asked.

"Mhm." Phoebe nodded.

"Allright." Iceleomon replied.

"Bring it on." Kaytori replied.

"Well let's get back to the beach first." Phoebe said.

-A quick ride back to the beach later as it wasn't that far away and there was no traffic in this part of town.-

Our driver took off to go hide somewhere until we needed to leave the beach. The van stuck out pretty badly as it was the only operable vehicle around for several blocks. Leaving it parked in the lot would give our location away to any space police patrols still out there. There was little chance we would come across them, but there was still a chance.

Henry and Claire went to play around with their pokemon while we went to play some more volleyball. The newbies were playing in the ocean along with Bubba, who seemed to enjoy their attention.

"Ok, first to ten points wins." Phoebe said as she prepared to serve.

"Allright, let's go." She said before successfully serving the ball and starting the game.

-several minutes later-

"Ok that was the game point, 10 to 5." Phoebe said.

"Dammit." IceLeomon said.

"You'll get the hang of it eventually." Elishen said as she comforted him.

Henry was right, his wives were pretty competent players, but IceLeomon himself had a bad tendency to get too excited, hit the ball too hard and send it way out of bounds.

"So what do we get for winning?" Phoebe asked with a mischievous look in her eyes.

"I don't know." I said.

"You can take us back to the rocks again, we could bring our towels this time." She said.

"Again?" I asked.

"Just one more time, as the sun sets just to cap off our time here? Pleeeeease." She cutely begged.

"Can I go too?" Kitty asked.

"Obviously, you think I would leave you out?" Phoebe asked.

"It's still a few hours until sunset." I said.

"Yeah, so we'll wait a little while." Phoebe replied.

"And then I'll be drained when we get to the hotel and I'll be unable to take part in the orgy." I said.

"That's why we have the stamina stuff. A few sips should get you through and you'll be fine by tomorrow. If not then, well you can play with me when we get to our quarters on the ship. Or if you're unconscious you can just sleep there." Phoebe said.

"Why don't we just hang out with our pokémon for a bit? We haven't given them much attention today." I said.

"Yeah you're right, we should go see them, they probably want to see us too. It looks like Bubba is having fun playing around with the newbies though." Phoebe said.

"You think they can fall in love with him?" Kitty asked.

"No, Bubba isn't sapient, he has the mind of a child. That's kind of messed up." Phoebe said.

"Oh." Kitty said.

"Besides he's not attracted to humanoids." Phoebe said.

"Do I wanna know why you know that?" I asked.

"It's just common sense, pokémon tend to fall in love with other pokémon that are similar to them, in his case most likely another blastoise or maybe a torterra, or at least another large water type like a lapras." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

"Well that's probably a good thing otherwise that would be even more awkward to explain than our situation." I said.

"Yes, way more awkward." Phoebe agreed.

"Ok, since he's in the water and Kitty can't swim why don't we see what Bulby is up to?" Phoebe suggested.

"Allright let's go." I replied as we headed towards him.

The starters were working together to make quite a large hole in the sand for some reason. A hole we were going to have to fix before we left but with the help of Rocky and Rhyhorn it was no big deal. They got down deep enough that the bottom was just muck and was no longer willing to dig any deeper because being a fire type he hated water so he was playing in the pile of sand they had dug up.

"Hi Bulby, how's it going?" Phoebe asked.

"Venusaur saur." Her pokémon replied.

"Yeah they did make a big hole. What are they going to do now?" Phoebe replied.

"Can she really understand him?" Kitty asked.

"She can speak pokémon because she is a pokémon." I explained.

"I see." Kitty replied.

Ironically it's easier for sapient pokémon to learn to speak human than it is for smart humans to learn to speak pokémon.

"Venusaur saur Venusaur."

"It looks like they're going to keep digging? I think I agree, except for Mr. Cinders he's busy playing on the little sand mountain they made." Phoebe asked.

"Cinda!" Mr. Cinders chimed.

"Yeah I see you up there little guy." Phoebe replied.

"Chica Chico chi?" Claire's Chikorita chirped.

"No I don't know what's at the bottom, probably just mud. Don't get all muddy, what will Henry and Claire think?" Phoebe replied.

"Toto, totodile." Henry's totodile chimed.

"They thought it was cool? Yeah it kind of is for you dig all this up by yourselves." Phoebe replied.

"You wanna go lie down and snuggle?" Kitty asked as she affectionately draped herself over me.

"Yeah we can do that if you want." I replied.

"Pheebles, I'm going to go snuggle with Kitty for a bit." I said.

"Really? We just got here." Phoebe said.

"My pokemon aren't even here though." I said.

"Bellosom!" Blossom cheerfully announced as she playfully popped out of the sand nearby.

"She says she's here." Phoebe translated with a laugh.

"What are you doing in there?" I asked, confused.

"Bellosom." She replied.

"Hiding." Phoebe translated.

"From what? Me?" I asked.

"Bellosom bell." My pokémon replied.

"Nobody in particular." Phoebe translated.

"Bellosom bell bell bellossom." She said.

"Just waiting for somebody to come by so I can pop out and surprise them." Phoebe translated.

"Well I was surprised I'll tell you that much." I said with a laugh.

"Bell, bellosom."She said cheerfully.

"Thankyou master." Phoebe translated.

"Eh heh." I replied before reaching down to gently pat her on the head.

"She's so tiny." Kitty said.

"Yeah, but she's a lot stronger than you'd think, and if you combine her petal dance with Bulby's sleep powder it's insanely effective at knocking out large amounts of enemies at once." I replied.

"mmkay." Kitty replied.

"Let's go see what Rocky and Rhyhorn are up too." I said.

"Um, isn't he upside down?" Kitty asked as she looked at him in confusion.

"Yep . . . . . . . He alive?" I asked also confused as to why he was on his back.

Rhyhorn responded with a grumble confirming that he was still alive atleast.

"What are you doing?" I asked to which he responded with another grumble.

"Golem go golem." Rocky chimed.

"Egh, no idea what you're saying. Pheebles!" I called out to her so she could come and translate, but she was distracted by Mr. Cinder's cuteness and petting him like a puppy.

"She's playing with Mr. Cinders." Kitty said.

"Yeah I see that." I replied.

"Maybe he wants his belly rubbed?" Kitty asked playfully.

"Don't, Rhyhorns hate that. He'll squish you." I said as I blocked her from doing so.

"Ok," Kitty replied.

"What are you two doing?" Phoebe said as she came over holding Mr. Cinders.

"Wondering why Rhyhorn is upside down." Kitty replied.

"Oh, he's trying to imitate Rocky, like how he can roll into a ball and everything." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Mhm. He's pretty easy to read." Phoebe replied.

"Not much going on up there." She whispered to me.

"Golem gol gol golem." Rocky said.

"Yeah he's not very good at it is he?" Phoebe asked.

"Cinda! cinda!"Mr. Cinders chirped before suddenly jumping onto his belly.

"Mr. Cinders no don't jump on him, I know his belly is all big gray and squishy, but still that's rude and he might squoosh you." Phoebe said.

"Cj said they don't like getting their bellies rubbed." Kitty said.

"That's true, it's the softest part of their bodies and the part predators like scythers usually target in the wild." Phoebe said.

"What's a scyther?" Kitty asked.

"It's a big green bug with knives for arms, don't really have anything else to show you on that end." I said.

"They're pretty strong and scary for a bug type." Phoebe said as rhyhorn rolled back over and grunted.

"He gives up." Phoebe said.

He grunted again.

"Now he wants to race Rocky instead.

"Golem gol!" Rocky said.

"Rocky agrees to the challenge." Phoebe translated.

"Golem?" Rocky asked.

"He wants one of us to start the race for them." Phoebe said.

"You just racing to the boardwalk and back or the end of the parking lot where they going?" I asked.

"Go golem gol gol golem.?" Rocky asked.

"To the edge of the parking lot?" Phoebe translated.

"Ok, well line up then." I said as Phoebe was holding mister cinders and Kitty probably didn't understand how to start a race.

They got ready to start and I got between them and dropped my arms to start their little competition. Rhyhorn charged ahead normally and Rocky used his Spherical body to roll along which is typically how golems move about at high speed anyway. They only walk short distances or in confined spaces and roll everywhere else. Rhyhorn had him off the line but Rocky eventually passed him before the finish line at the end of the fencing for the parking lot a few hundred feet away. Rhyhorn was not pleased with this and immediately demanded a rematch, this happened 4 times and he lost every time before finally giving up, at this point it was blatantly obvious Rocky was just faster than him. Anyway after that he decided to rest for a bit, leaving us in need of finding something else to do.

"Ok well, what now?" I asked.

"I don't know, we still have some time." Phoebe said.

"Where's Cubey?" I asked.

"I dunno. Draco and Polli are playing in the water with the newbies." Phoebe replied.

"You can't get a reading on him?" I asked.

"Give me a moment." Phoebe replied before closing her eyes.

"He's over on the boardwalk." Phoebe said.

"Didn't we tell them not to go past there?" I asked.

"Yeah I said that so they wouldn't um, see how horrible and ugly it is, but we didn't say they couldn't go on it." Phoebe said, lying so our pokémon wouldn't get curious.

"Here Mr. Cinders, go on and go play with the other starters." Phoebe said as she set him down and patted him on the head.

"Cinda!" He chirped before heading back towards the pile of sand.

"Ok let's go see what he's up to. I'm kind of concerned now." Phoebe said.

"Allright." I replied.

"Why so concerned?" Kitty asked as we started walking.

"Because if I'm hearing this right….oh Arceus there he is." Phoebe said.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Look up there, you see the tiny brown dot on the rollercoaster track?" She asked.

"What the heck how'd he get up there?" I asked.

"He climbed. I don't know what he thinks he is doing, let's get him down before he falls off." Phoebe replied.

"I thought he liked the ground?" Kitty asked.

"That's his type, that doesn't mean he's afraid of heights, just water." I said.

"Am I ground type too?" Kitty asked.

"No you just hate water, some ground types are actually hurt by it or getting wet freaks them out so bad they lose the will to fight. Also most of them can't swim at all because they're too heavy. You could swim if you bothered to learn. " Phoebe said.

"I see you more as a steel psychic, or maybe poison psychic for your Lilithmon form, though dark works just as well." I said.

"Steel?" Phoebe asked.

"Well for the way her claws work like swords basically. And Psychic because of her hypnotic abilities. Poison for the way the nazzar nail corrodes and liquefies everything." I said.

"And my human form?" Kitty asked.

"Normalllllll?" I guessed.

"Yeah, unless you have some powers we're not aware of." Phoebe agreed.

A few minutes of walking later we were back on the boardwalk. Cubey playfully waved at us, but continued his climb up the rollercoaster track.

"Cubey! You wanna come down on your own or do I have to teleport up there and take you back down with me? I can't just leave you up there, you could fall and if that knocks you out I won't be able to find you." Phoebe explained to him.

"Marrow! Marrowak!" He replied.

"Yes I see how high up you are, but you gotta come down that is not safe at all." Phoebe argued.

"We're lucky the coaster isn't running." I said.

"Cj, you stay here with Kitty, I'm going to go get him." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied, not sure what else she was expecting me to do.

"He's just like a little kid." Kitty said after she went up there.

"Yeah, kind of, a bit stronger though." I said as Phoebe hugged him and teleported them both back down.

"Marro! Marro! marro!" Cubey seemed to be very annoyed with her once they came back.

"I told you it's not safe and we don't want to spend all day watching you climb up that thing to make sure you don't fall." Phoebe replied.

"Marrow marrow!" Cubey seemed to be objecting.

"I don't know what else you're supposed to do but putting yourself in unnecessary danger is not on that list. You're not even supposed to be up here, we intended for all of you to stay on that side of the beach." Phoebe said.

"Marro?" Cubey asked.

"So everyone can keep a better eye on you." Phoebe lied.

"Marro marro." Cubey said.

"I know you're fully evolved, but when you go and do things like this it means you still need some supervision." Phoebe said.

"Marro marro wak." Cubey said.

"Just go back over to Bulby and hang out with him." Phoebe said.

"Marrrrrooo." He said, sadly.

"Poor guy." Kitty said.

"Not as poor as he'd be if he fell off that thing." Phoebe said.

You wanna go to the top of the ferris wheel?" I asked.

"Why?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know, see what the view is like, we don't have to turn it on you could just teleport us up there right?" I asked.

"Um…..uhh, maybe, but just you and me I don't think there's room for all three of us."

It was kind of awkward because the safety bars on the highest carriage were in the closed position so teleporting up there was one thing, getting into the seats was another, especially since the whole carriage wanted to tip, but we managed it. It was even wide enough that Kitty could fit in too.

"We could just spend the rest of the day up here." I said as we had a great view and could see all our friends and poke'mon playing on the beach below.

"I gotta film this." Phoebe said.

"Here we are on top of a ferris wheel at the same beach we were at earlier, it's not running so I just teleported us up here but look at this awesome views. There's all our friends, there's that dining area our soda video was filmed at.

"Allright now it's almost sunset so why don't you two go on ahead and start heading for the rocks, I'll get Zari to guard for us." Phoebe replied.

"Allright, come on Kitty." I said as I set out for the rocks again.

"You wanna race over there again?" She asked as we made our way over there.

"Only if we're racing in the water, you know you'll win otherwise." I said.

"On rare occasions, but no, most of the time. We should use our time apart from Kitty to get closer together." I insisted.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." She relented.

"Now if that's settled, I need to actually try to sleep before I just black out again." I said.
