Demon King and the others attempted to see what was happening in Duel Links, but it was really a trap set by Feather. Demon King was almost caught in it, but Sylph saved him. However, now she's the one trapped inside with Feather. There's no telling what is happening to her inside.

"Sylph! Sylph!" Jinn called. "What is happening in there?! We need to get her out!"

"Calm down, Jinn. We will." Demon King said. "Wiseman, is there a way for you to gain access to this thing. Can you hack, code, or...reboot it so that we can get Sylph out?"

"I'm actually offended that you know so little about computers after hanging around me." Wiseman said. "I can try, but I doubt it will be easy since Interstellar had to have been the ones that programmed it."

"I'll try to assist you." Eden said. "Let's just hope that Sylph can hold her own in there." All of them are rather worried about Sylph, but there isn't much they can do until they can figure out how to break her out of there.

...

Sylph

After Sylph was pulled inside Feather's trap, everything went dark. When she was able to regain her senses, she woke up and got back up. She looked around, but she saw she was in some sort of cavern with a stream lava in front of her.

"What is this? Where am I?" Sylph questioned. She took a moment and remembered what happened to her. "That's right. I was pulled into that trap after saving Demon King, but where am I now? What is this place?"

"This is one of the simulated dueling areas we were constructing, but I used it to trap you." Sylph looked across the place and saw Feather standing on the other side of the lava.

"Who are you?" Sylph questioned.

"My codename is Feather since you do not need to know my real name. I am one of the executives of Interstellar, and I've taken it upon myself to capture Demon King and his friends since Holy and Eraser failed before." She claimed. "I originally intended to trap Demon King in here, but I suppose you will do. I know fully well who you are, Sylph."

"Do you?" Sylph questioned.

"You are an associate of Drakken Joe, in fact you were one of his closest acquaintances, and now you have allied yourself with Demon King. I can't tell if that's an improvement or not, but you still are in trouble." Feather said. "Joining with Demon King won't erase your past actions."

"I won't lie. I know I've done some rather bad things with Drakken Joe, and I do regret it." Sylph said. "I honestly didn't like any of it, but my brother and I did what we had to do. I don't know if joining Demon King is even the right choice for me, but I thought I should see that for myself. I wasn't expecting the likes of Interstellar to come after us."

"Regardless, you must be punished for what you've done. Don't even try to log yourself out of here. This area is specially designed to prevent that from happening. I'm afraid you can't leave here so easily." Feather said. "However, we at Interstellar are not without honor and integrity. I am willing to give you a fighting chance for your freedom. I'm sure you aren't going to come in willingly, but I can't just let you go."

"So, if I defeat you, you'll let me go." Sylph said. "Very well. I survived harsher times than this." She said as she accepted Feather's challenge.

"You should have just surrendered." Feather claimed. The two of them had their decks set with them facing each other, and being the first to try this new dueling field.

"Let's duel!" They both said as they started their duel with 4000LP.

"I'm going first. I'll begin by setting a card, and then I'm going to summon Shining Angel to the field." Feather said as she played her cards. One of them being an angel with shining wings and had 1400atk points. "With that, I end my turn."

"My turn!" Sylph said as she drew her card, but Feather already stepped in.

"Because it is, I can now activate Light of Intervention." Feather said as she activated her trap. "As long as this trap remains active, we can't summon a monster facedown, but we can summon them faceup in defense mode. That means you won't be able to surprise me. I'll see it all."

"Perhaps, but that doesn't mean you're going to win. Knowing what's coming and knowing how to deal with it are two different things." Sylph claimed and continued on with her turn. "I'll begin by summoning Clearwing Dove Pure to the field." She summoned out her dove-like mecha with it having 400atk points. "With just this one monster, I build my circuit!" She opened up her circuit with her one monster diving into the bottom arrow. "I link summon Clearwing Sylph Mystic!" She summoned out her link monster with it having 500atk points.

"A sylph... Did you name your avatar after that monster?" Feather said.

"I named myself Sylph because of the type of cards I use, not to mention that I think it sounds cute. Can we please stay focused on the duel." Sylph said. "Once per turn, when Dove Pure is used in a link summon, I can resummon it from my graveyard." She said and brought back her dove. "That activates Sylph Mystic's ability! When a monster is summoned next to her link, it allows me to draw one card." She drew her card, but she had something else in mind. "Then, I'll build my circuit again!" She build it once again with both of her monsters going in the top and bottom arrow. "I link summon Clearwing Space Cruise!" She summoned out her bird-shaped ship with it having 1800atk points. "Thanks to Space Cruiser's ability, I can summon a monster next to it's link. I summon Clearwing Owl Snow!" She summoned out an owl-like piece now with it having 1400atk points. "As long as there's a monster next to Space Cruiser's link, you also won't be able to destroy it in battle." She claimed as a wind barrier formed around her monster. "Speaking of battle... Space Cruiser, attack her Shining Angel!" Her monster attacked as it flew straight at Shining Angel. It flew right over the monster's head with the tailwind attacking the angel and destroyed it. That caused Feather's life points to drop to 3600.

"You just activated Shining Angel's special ability. When it's destroyed, I can summon a light attribute monster to the field with 1500 or less attack points." Feather claimed. "I summon a second Shining Angel." Another copy of that same monster appeared on the field. That had Sylph stuck.

'Attacking with Owl Snow would be pointless.' Sylph thought. 'They have the same attack points and would have destroyed each other, but she can just summon another monster to take it's place.' Whatever it was that Feather was planning, Sylph could see she can't stop it this turn. "I'll just place two cards facedown to end my turn. You might have stopped me from concealing my monsters, but my spells and traps are different. You won't be able to know what these two are."

"Interesting." Feather said. "Based on your previous duels, you have all the monsters needed to summon out Clearwing Pegasus Majestic. I heard that's one of your best monsters. Why didn't you summon it?"

"Maybe I just don't need it." Sylph said.

"Or maybe those two face-downs you played are part of your real strategy." Feather said. "You can't hide anything from me. It's my turn! I draw!" Feather drew her next card and seems to have all the answers. "First, I'm activating Confiscation! By paying 1000LP, I get to look at the cards in your hand and send one of them to the graveyard. I told you there's nothing you can hide from me." Her life points my have dropped down to 2600, but it might be worth it. Sylph had to do what she said and revealed her hand to Feather. She looked at her cards to memorize what she had while making her decision. "Your Crystal Gust allows you to draw one card by returning three Clearwings to your deck. That's the one I will choose." Once she made her choice, Sylph discarded her card. "Next, I summon my All-Seer tuner monster!" The next monster she summoned was a floating pink eye with it having 800atk points.

"A tuner monster?!" Sylph said as she knew that was trouble for her.

"And now, I tune my level two All-Seer with my level four Shining Angel!" Feather said. The synchro process started up for a level six monster to emerge on the field. "I synchro summon Venus Eye!" She synchro summoned a lady monster with her dressed in a white and gold robe with her face concealed except for her sparkling blue eyes. She also had 2400atk points.

"A synchro monster?" Sylph said as she thinks this might be a problem.

"There's more for you to worry about. I activate Venus Eye's special ability!" Feather said. "I am now able to see all the face-downs you have on your field. Then, I can choose one to destroy. Show me what you're hiding." Sylph's two face-downs were now revealed to Feather. "Hmm... Your Clearwing Restoration as well as Prism Wing Blade. I see what you are planning now. You were going to link summon on your next turn, then use Clearwing Restoration to bring back one of your Clearwing monsters. That's why you didn't link summon last turn. With your Pegasus Majestic's ability, you would have gained 1000LP. Points you would have had to offer to activate you Prism Wing Blade. You were aiming to have three monsters on the field. Then, with Prism Wing Blade, by simply giving up 1000LP, you would have had one of your Clearwing monsters deal double the damage. You were aiming to end this on your next turn. Too bad it won't work because I destroy Clearwing Restoration." Feather figured out Sylph's plan and crushed it with the card that she destroyed.

"You may have stopped me from reviving a monster, but that doesn't mean I'm beaten." Sylph said.

"Maybe, but you are about to take some damage. Venus Eye, attack her Clearwing Owl Snow!" Feather ordered. "Attack with Radiant Sight!" Her monster shined a bright light from her body, and then fired a powerful ray from her eyes. The blast hit her monster and destroyed it with Sylph's life points dropping to 3000. "There's more. When All-Seer is used in a synchro summon for a light attribute monster, it gives my synchro monster another ability. When my synchro monster destroys a monster in battle, it's special ability allows me to see the top three cards of your deck. After that, I can send one of them to the graveyard."

"Not again." Sylph said, but she had no choice. It seems like Feather is trying to see Sylph's cards and prevent her from using them. If she sees what's coming, she knows how to stop it. Feather got to see her three cards and tried to decide which one should go to the graveyard.

"I'll choose your Clearwing Swan Grace since it's special ability allows it to be special summoned." Feather said. Sylph took the card and discarded it. "There is nothing you can do to beat me. If I can see your cards coming, you can't win against me."

"That doesn't mean anything. There were a lot of things I didn't see coming." Sylph said as she thought back to a certain time.

Flashback

Before, Kleene lived a pretty good life with her brother and her parents. She was happy, and a lot thought she had a cute smile. Plus, they were financial stable as the Rutherford family were a wealthy family. They all seemed like a happy family, but the happy times came to an end. She and Kris ended up losing their parents, and the two of them ended up losing their home. The two of them soon found themselves outside the gate to their house and it was locked with them unable to go back inside.

"They can't really just kick us out of our home. Can they?" Kleene questioned.

"It's not like we can pay for whatever it needs." Kris said. The two of them were just children, but now they have no parents and no home. Kleene didn't want the good times to end, but it seems like that's exactly what's going to happen. "Come on, Kleene." Kris said as he took her hand and the two of them started walking. It was something neither of them saw coming, but that was the starting point to have their lives spiral out of control.

End of Flashback

...

"So much happened to me that I didn't see coming." Sylph claimed. "I was living out on the streets with my brother, trying to earn some money, and soon ended up working for a loan shark. We had to survive on our own without parents, and now I find myself dueling against some higher-up for my freedom. You think I saw any of that coming?"

"I doubt that anyone would have." Feather said. "What is your point? If your looking for sympathy for your actions, or you're looking for justification, I'm afraid you won't get any. I can't take pity on your crimes just because you had a sad story."

"My point is that even though I didn't see any of that coming, I'm still here and I'm still fighting." Sylph claimed. "Even if I could see any of it coming, it wouldn't change a thing. So, just because you think you might see things coming, it doesn't mean they will help you."

"That is an illogical argument." Feather said. "That has nothing to do with the current situation of this duel. While you did have a rough life, I'm afraid it's only going to get worse. Once this is over, the next thing you will see is the inside of a prison cell." Sylph seems to be in a tough spot. Feather is able to see what's coming and is using that info to her advantage. Unless Sylph can pull something off that Feather won't see coming, she won't be able to win and Sylph's past might come back to haunt her.
