Hawkeye stares at her commanding officer in shock while he looks at her. It sounded amazing but he knows she doesn't own anything nice! "Y-You do remember that I don't own any dress, right?" Roy blinks in confusion but then realizes what she meant. "Oh! No, I meant like at a casual restaurant where we can bring the pets." She stared at him in surprise, he wanted to go out with her with Black Hayate and Chiko? 'I guess to make it more comfortable.' Hawkeye smiled and said. "Sure. I'll see you tomorrow then." Roy smiled and said. "I'll see you then as well lieutenant." Roy got out with Chiko and headed towards the door, he unlocked it then turned around to wave at her and she waved back with a smile.

He went inside and locked the door. After his and Chiko's bath, drying off and getting dressed was when the gravity of what he just did sunk in. He flopped face first in his pillow as Chiko watch in confusion before jumping at him squealing and giggling like a teenage girl that got her first kiss. Hawkeye was the same. They both thought the same thing. 'I'm going on a date with the woman/man I love. It's like a dream that I never want to wake up from.' They both smiled at the thought of going on a date tomorrow with their loved ones and companions. (I'll leave that up to you guys of what I mean.)

They closed their eyes and went to sleep with their pets, excited for tomorrow.

It was time for their date and Hawkeye decided to wear a long skirt with a blouse and flats. She put the leash on Hayata's collar and walked out of her apartment, locking her door, then headed towards the meeting place. It was at a park. It was a genuinely nice one with an incredibly beautiful fountain. She sat near the fountain, extremely nervous. Even though he has forgiven her, and Monroe is now in prison, she can't help but feel guilty for everything. She should have known but fell for that monster's tricks. As she thought this, a small bouquet of roses came into view.

She was surprised and looked up to see Roy standing there with a small smile on his face, dressed up nicely. He wore a black button up shirt with a jacket with the sleeves rolled up black jeans and dress shoes. "You look beautiful Riza." She blushed when he called her by her name. She stood up and took the flowers, saying. "Thank you, Sir-Roy." Roy smiled at her and she noticed something off. "Where's Chiko sir?" His smile widened and he pointed to the flowers. She looked down and Chiko peaked out of the bouquet.

She noticed that Chiko was wearing a little pink dress with white bows on it. She blushed at the sight, she looked so cute. "You look very cute Chiko." Chiko smiled and gave an adorable squeak. She smiled but then noticed Roy standing up from the ground. She looked down to see Hayate wearing a little bow tie. She blushed even more and looked at Roy questioningly, he then answered. "Just because Chiko looks cute doesn't mean Hayate can't." She blushes at this and nods saying. "Thank you, sir." Roy nodded and offered his arm; she took it, and he guided her to the restaurant.

It wasn't fancy or classy, it was just a nice restaurant that allowed pets in. Riza and Roy sat upstairs in a private lounge so Chiko could come out of the flowers. Roy just cooed at the sight of Chiko wearing the cute dress while Hawkeye chuckled at her commanding officer's antics.

After ordering their food, Roy got a burger with fries with water while Hawkeye had a salad with some deviled eggs and tea, the animals ate a steak and fruit. It was a good dinner, just eating a nice meal with them and their pets. It was great. After their dinner, they got dessert which was a chocolate cake with ice cream, and it was good.

After eating and paying, they left the restaurant and took a little stroll in the park where they met. Chiko was on Roy's head as usual, and Hayate was at Hawkeye's side. It was dark out and there were a few people out and it was just him and her along with the pets. They were sitting on the ledge of the fountain, talking about the past and what happened. "Wait, wait, wait, he said that I used my flames on him?" "Yes. He even had the burns to prove it." "That was not how that happened. I was lost in thought with my gloves on when he suddenly came at me with a knife, and I blocked it with my arm but I snapped by accident and that's what caused it."

Hawkeye shook her head and said. "While I did believe it was an accident, Monroe made it seem like it was on purpose." "He made everything seem legit, even when he was tricking me to be quiet." Hawkeye looked at Roy confused and then asked the question that had been nagging her for some time. "What exactly did Monroe say to make you stay quiet?" Roy blushed a little bit and looked away but answered truthfully. "He threatened to hurt my team. He threatened to kill the others and," Roy stopped suddenly and swallowed the lump in his throat. Hawkeye waited patiently for him to answer, and he did in a quiet tone. "He threatened to rape you." Her eyes widened at this; she knew Monroe had a crush on her but to go as far as to rape? She felt a shiver her spine as she looked at her hands and said. "I know you said to not to but I'm so sorry Colonel."

Roy looked at Hawkeye as she talked. "I'm sorry that you've been in so much pain and that I didn't notice anything and believed the lies of a rookie. I should've known." She had tears in her eyes as she remembered what the doctor told her. There were old and new bruises on his body that went back a year, including a scar on his arm. Roy sighed at this, not surprised at her apology. So, he stood up, stood in front of her and gently grabbed her arms. He stood her up and hugged her tightly, she was caught off guard but put her arms around him as he put his nose in her hair saying. "It wasn't your fault. Monroe was tricking all of us with his act and we fell for it, well, except Ed and Al but that's because they met Tucker." Hawkeye nodded in agreement.

It made sense that they'd be suspicious of an overly nice man since Tucker. "And even if you did suspect anything, Monroe knew how to cover his tracks. So, please stop blaming yourself Riza." Hawkeye sniffed and said. "I'll try." Roy smiled and they separated but didn't get out of each other's arms. "That's my lieutenant." Hawkeye smiled as they stared into each other's eyes. Roy slowly leaned in as well as Hawkeye, Chiko and Hayate watched and covered their eyes while blushing but peeked a little.

Just before their lips met, they felt a rain drop on their heads and froze, they looked up when it suddenly rained hard on them. Their eyes widened at this, that was unexpected. Roy sighed and took off his jacket, then covered Riza in it. Riza held the jacket over her head and said. "My apartment is far from here, but I think yours is a couple of blocks from here, colonel. Colonel?" She looked at Roy and noticed that he was looking up at the sky with his eyes closed, enjoying the rain as it fell on his face. An act that surprised Hawkeye. Normally he would want to get out of the rain as quickly as possible but now, he's letting it fall on him like no big deal.

After a minute, he sighed in contentment and looked at her with soft eyes. "Ready to go? I'm starting to get cold." Hawkeye snapped out of her thoughts when she realized that she was getting cold. She nodded and Roy led her to his house. When they got in the rain started going down harder. As they went in, Hayate shook the water out while Roy ran his hand through his hair to get the water out. Hawkeye took the jacket off his head and kept it around her shoulders to get warm. "I'll get you a change of clothes that might fit you and you can change and dry off." Hawkeye nodded and they went to the bedroom. Roy handed her a long sleeve t-shirt and sweatpants for her that he gave to Ed once and he never changed them back. She took them grateful, and Roy noticed that she was really wet because he could see her bra through her blouse. He blushed in embarrassment and looked away. Hawkeye looked at him confused and left the room to change. As she changed in the guest bedroom, she realized her blouse was see through now and that she could see her bra. Steam came out of her head as she blushed in embarrassment as she realized that her colonel saw her bra.

After she was done, she walked downstairs and noticed that the fireplace had fire in it. So, she walked towards it and put her hands in front of it to warm up. She looked at the shelf above it to see old pictures of the past. She saw the day he graduated from the academy, the day Hughes got married, when Elicia was born, when they took a group photo and the recent one that was taken a year before Monroe joined the team. The first one was with Major Armstrong, the team and Hughes and the other one was the same, but it didn't have Hughes in it.

The day Hughes died killed Roy that he spiraled into a depression and was thin for a couple of months but got healthy again but that changed when Monroe came. He threw himself at work, barely ate and it was obvious that he wasn't sleeping well. She was grateful for Chiko coming into Roy's life. Speaking of them, she had noticed that Chiko was on Black Hayate while they both slept. It was so cute. She heard footsteps and turned towards the kitchen to see Roy walking towards her with two mugs in his hands that were steaming. He handed one to her and went towards the phonograph, playing some light soft music. "Ah, the classics." "Might as well, the was to play this outside and look at the stars but-." "The weather proved to be unpredictable again sir." "Yep." Roy popped the 'P' letting Hawkeye know he was still annoyed with the weather despite enjoying it a while ago.

They both sat in front of the fire, enjoying some music while drinking hot chocolate while listening to the rain. They sat in silence for awhile before Roy broke it by asking. "Did you enjoy today?" She looked at him and said. "I did. It was a nice change of pace." She took a sip of her Choco as Roy spoke. "I'm glad you did but I was disappointed to not kiss you." Hawkeye spit out her drink a little in shock and stared at him with a blush. Since when he has been this blunt!?! He looks at her with a smile saying. "After nearly dying, I realized that life is too short to be hesitant and decided to do the things I want to do. My goal to be Fuhrer has not changed, I want to change this country for the better and I want you to be by my side, Riza."

He gently grabbed her hand and brought it up to his lips, giving it a gentle kiss. Hawkeye blushed even more and said. "If you want a kiss, then there's nothing stopping you." His eyes widened at this but then gave a small smile. He put his hand on her cheek and brought her closer to him. Riza put a hand on his fuzzy cheek and finally, after so many interruptions, their lips met, and they kissed. Feeling completed.

Unknown to them was that Chiko and Hayate were wide awake, covering their eyes but peeked a little. This was the start of their little family.
